Design, Development, Testing Data Bank on performance and field failure studies for Doordarshan’s Low Power Transmitter (LPT) & Television Receive Only (TVRO) systems. For the first time in the country the network of Doordarshan Television was being set up for coverage at every district HQ. Data from several LPT Doordarshan centers was received fortnightly. Software package implementation was in COBOL Transaction based system (IBM 360/370 mainframe), INFORMIX (on UNIX terminals) and DBASE (on PCs)
