154. Lilburn Compton

According to Hazel Coleman Ratliff Hunter, she recalls seeing Lilburn carrying the caskets of E.K. and Nadine up the hill to the Calhoun Cemetery, located at Robinson Creek, KY and burying them. Their graves are marked by a plain sandstone head stone. The location of their graves are just above where Lilburn and Cordia are now buried. Anecedotal information is that they were born prematurely as about 6 months into Cordia's pregnancy.

School records for Darcus and Dewey list that they withdrew from the school at the mouth of Sugar Camp Branch on October 15, 1945 and went to Dayton, OH.


236. James David Compton

James David (Uncle Jim) lived in Texas the latter part of his life. He is buried somewhere around San Antonio, TX.


Bess Kinney Damron

Bess (Kinney) Damron was a sister to Melphie (Kinney) Little, wife of Noah Little, who was a neighbor of John B. and Ella at Robinson Creek, KY. Ella said that she did not know what happened to Lilburn and Bess, only that he showed up one morning at their door with his clothes.


Wirena (Rena) McKiney

Married by John King of Ousley, KY, recorded in marriage volume 66, page 111

King is listed as 54 and Wirena as 22 years of age at time of marriage. She was a widow.
