TAIGA & Sterling Web Front End Project-This project is an E-Commerce project that enables Business to Business and Business to Customer.
Mexican Manufacturing & Operations Investment in Mexico-evaluates the advantages and challenges of expanding Mexican sourcing opportunities for a large-scale apparel retailer.
Use of Analytic Hierarchy Process to give decision support. This project is sponsored by a world famous company in the USA. The project team members come from the IEEM Dept. of HKUST, the IEEM Dept. and Business School of Stanford Univ. Coordination and communication between team-members of multi-culture background are the characteristics of the project.

1. Virtual Ping-Pong Game-Pilot study on effective construction of physically based Virtual Environments for Ford Motor Company. The ultimate goal of this project is to conduct car crash experiments in the Virtual Environment by crash worthiness analyzing.

Fundamental research on coal combustion
- Presented a Shapeless Pore Model (SPM) to study the heat and mass transfer in porous materials
Applied fractal analysis to study the irregular surface of porous materials by image processing and pore distribution testing
Designed of experiments and analyzed maceral and rank influences on coal/char reactivity
Modified the char reaction model in a 3D furnace simulation package, and conducted numerical simulation on the effect of coal structure on combustion
Applied research on the clean and efficient use of fossil fuels.
- Characterized of around 40 Chinese coals used in power plants located in central China, explored the combustion characteristics and its Influences on power plants
Developed, in collaboration with others, a database of coal combustion characteristics for central China electricity network administration bureau
Conducted aerodynamic experiments in furnace with professors and engineers, in Neimeng Power Plant
Predicted ash fusion temperature by using ANN (Artificial Neural Network)
