Gaius Julius Caesar was born on July 13, 101 B.C. in a working class section of Rome called Subura. Baby Caesar was not named until his ninth day after being born. He was named after his father and Grandfather. His family was a noble family, but never really distinguished themselves. In 81 B.C., Caesar goes to Bithynia to "remind" their king, Nicomedes IV, that he has promised boats to Rome and Rome has never gotten them. Caesar spends so much time in Bithynia that rumors fly around that he is engaging in homosexual activities with Nicomedes, but this seems very unlikely.

Caesar is a very ambitious soul and begins his manhood with high goals. He first works into politics where he becomes part of the Circus Maximus and gains his popularity there. Then he is elected Consul and does many good deeds such as cutting down on corruption of the Senate and making me generous public relations. The greedy senate is angered by Caesar's meddlesome with there conduct and they decide to rid themselves of him by making him proconsul of Gaul. In Gaul, Caesar uses 4 legions to destroy all the enemy tribes and then he brings all of Gaul under Roman rule after 8 years of conquest. He then goes bak to Rome where a Civil War rages and then he crosses a river into Rome and the Senate declares him a convict.

Caesar is crowned dictator by the people and then he tries to rid himself of Pompey who is at Civil War with him. Pompey is defeated and he flees to Egypt where he is killed. Caesar is then absolute dictator of the Roman Empire.

March 15, The Ides of March. Caesar's wife Calpurnia has a dream the night before of a terrible death to Caesar. She pleads to Caesar not to go to the Senate the next day but Caesar will not hear of it and he leaves. On his way he is warned 3 TIMES that his death is approaching. Along his way Caesar is warned by a "friend" that gives him a piece of paper that has the name of all the conspirators on it but Caesar pays no attention and he puts it away thinking it was a tribute. Then a man warns him of what is to happen but he still does not realize that he will soon die. Walking farther to the Senate house he is confronted by the man again an is told once more not to do to the Senate because he will meet his doom there to which Caesar replies, "The Ides Of March have come and all is well," and the man replies, "Yes they have come, and they have not yet gone." When Caesar arrives at the Curia Of Pompey, Senators approach him and crowd around him. Brutus quickly grabs his toga and that is the signal the kill Caesar. The conspirators stab Caesar 23 times, during the bloody affair, Caesar looks up and realizes Brutus is one of his attackers, he then says, "You, Too, My child." Caesar lay dead at the foot of the statue of Pompey. The Caesar, Gaius Julius Caesar, is dead.
