This painting, Those Specks Of Dust, shows the madness of the Inquisition. The Inquisition would put nobility and common folks on the stand and debate as to weather they were "working for the devil", a "witch" or a heretic. Many people were killed more for a reason such as someone wanted their land or or wanted them out of the way for political reasons rather than for spritual actions. The Inquisition would consider the slightest thing such as a birth mark, which they considered the "Devil's Mark", to be enough to condemn someone to death.
