By downloading SurfSnatcher, you agree to this license.
If you have Sun's JDK1.1.5, JDK1.1.6, or JDK1.1.7, download classes.zip (24K) into a directory c:\SurfSnatcher (do not un-zip it) and then bring up a DOS box and enter:

  cd c:\SurfSnatcher
  set classpath=classes.zip;%classpath%
  java SurfSnatcher

and then try some Kewl Applets.
For greater security, you can create your own SecurityManager.

If you do not have Java, or you have some Java besides JDK1.1.5, JDK1.1.6, or JDK1.1.7, then download SurfSnatcher.zip (1.7M) which includes Sun's Java Runtime Environment 1.1.6.

Unzip SurfSnatcher.zip with an unzip utility specifically designed to work on Windows with long file names. Let it create the c:\SurfSnatcher directory. Do NOT unzip any files under the bin or lib directories.

Running SurfSnatcher:
Bring up a DOS box and enter:

  cd c:\SurfSnatcher\bin
  SurfSnatcher

Do not run SurfSnatcher from Windows Explorer. It runs much faster from a DOS box.

Uninstall:
Simply delete the SurfSnatcher directory.
