Use the right tools for the right job, or you could get lost in the wasteland of the web. There are several thousand search engines, but 80% of people use the top eight listed below. However, even these vary widely in scope, function, and quality. Don't waste a lot of time by choosing a search engine that will not do the specific searching task you need.

Most people only use one of the top search engines and below and do not take the time to learn the advanced techniques that would allow them to mazimize our results and waste less time.

Each Search Engine has instructions on how to use it most effectively, take a look and read the instructions for searching that are on each search engine site.

Start by analyzing your needs. Once you have figured out what you want then compare your needs with the strengths and weaknesses of each search service.
