Should I use the Web?

Know Where To Look First

Are you looking for information about a person? A company? A software product? A health-related problem? Do you want to find a job? Get a date? Plan a vacation? Do you need to research a term paper? Document a news story? There are various databases containing specific information that might be more useful to you than a general search engine.

Sometimes, depending on the type of information you are looking for, your best bet for finding information is not the WEB!

Sometimes it is easier and faster to find information by using your local or school library.

Libraries have tons of resources that aren't available on the Web, and Librarians are trained in how to find information fast.

Searching in cyberspace made easier

So, when you're getting nowhere on the Web, take advantage of these very nice human search engines. They are trained experts who are usually more than willing to help you find what you're looking for. They will help you search high and low to help you find what you need.
