Camilla`s favored Hot Pot

1 Tablespoon soft Butter
1 Tablespoon cold Butter
2 pounds Potatoes cut in to about 1/ inch thick slices
6 Slices of Lamb shoulder, about 2 inches thick and freed from fat
1 teaspoon Salt and fresh grounded Pepper
6 Lamb kidneys, cut into � inch thick slices
6 Oysters ( if you like)
1 Cup fresh Mushrooms, cut into 1/ inch thick Slices
3 sliced Onions
About 2 cups of Water
1-2 Tablespoons of Parsley

1.Heat the Oven to 175� Celsius

2.Use the soft Butter to butter a stew pot.

3.Now take one third of the Potatoes and lay them symmetrical into the Stewpot

4.On Top add 3 Slices of the Lamb shoulder.

5.Add salt and Pepper.

6.On top of that put half of the Kidneys, Mushrooms, Onions and Oysters.

7.With the second third of the Potatoes make the next layer, then 3 slices of Lamb shoulder

8.Salt and Pepper,

9.Add the rest of the Kidneys, Mushrooms, Onions and Oysters.

10.Finish with the rest of the Potatoes and pour the Water over it

11.Cut the cold butter into pieces and put on top.

12.Put the Stewpot lid on and leave it in the Oven for 1 � Hours


13.Remove the Stewpot-top and leave the Stew in the Oven for another � Hour until the Potatoes starts to get brown.

14.Before you serve , put the Parsley over the Stew.
