Moments later, however, Mr. Jabe slammed a ruler down on Alicia�s desk, hard, and said in a loud deep voice, �Wake up, childhood prodigy!�
Alicia jumped up as other children laughed, �Wha-wha?�
Mr. Jabe said, �Its time for the lab, your group members are Michael and Dora, make sure to use your safety goggles,�
All three of them went over to a table. Michael was an extremely fat boy with brown eyes and messy brown hair, he was wearing orange clothes. Dora was a girl with blue hair and brown eyes, and dressed in all white, she on the other hand was extremely skinny, like a twig.
Michael spoke deep, almost a growl, �Your going to do it, right, Alicia?�
Alicia asked, �Me?�
Dora spoke in a squeaky voice like a mouse, �Oh, you have to, I�m afraid to, I�ll give you five dollars!�
Alicia smiled, �Keep your money, Dora,� and she put on her safety goggles, Michael and Dora followed. Mr. Jabe set down a set of test tubes with chemicals down, one was red, the other green, an empty test tube, and then he set down the Bunsen burner.
Alicia thought to herself, �I can do this..I can do this..� and poured a little bit of the red chemical into the empty test tube, then she filled it the rest of the way with the green chemical, and corked it with a wooden cork.
Dora asked, �Do you know what you�re doing?�
Alicia stared and said, �Of course!� and she turned on the Bunsen burner and put the test tube atop. At first, nothing happened, then after several moments, there was a loud whistling sound, like a teapot. Then the test tube began to bubble up, oozing out of the sides of the wooden cork. Michael and Dora moved back slowly, knowing Alicia had messed something up. Then suddenly the entire thing exploded into an icky mess, covering Alicia�s goggles, and making a sticky mess in her hair. There were several minutes of silence as everyone stared at her, then she cut a silence with a dull and loud, �Oops,�
Mr. Jabe stared, �Get out of here! Clean yourself Up!!� and everyone started laughing at Alicia.
Alicia took her goggles off and headed to the bathroom, with everyone still laughing at her. While washing through her hair, she found a small ring stuck deep within her hair inside the gooey tangles. She yanked it out and stared at it, asking it, �What did this come from?� Then she had a flashback from her dream.

The silhouette of the person in front of Alicia turned red for a moment, and a thick red beam connected between Alicia and the silhouette. Alicia�s eyes were filled with a blinding red light, but she felt no pain from this beam.

Alicia shook her head, putting the ring in her pocket, then she continued washing her hair, �Its just a dream, just a dream...�
Moments later she found herself in English, they were taking a spelling test. Alicia was paying careful: to her doodling. She continuously drew circles on paper, trying to make them perfect! Other students were called on to spell words, their teacher, Miss Janie, a large woman was wearing bright green clothes with large rectangular glasses, she had hazel eyes and casually moved through the rows. She was asking students easy questions like �lips� and �daze� most of the students knew them. (The rest were laughed at)
Miss Janie noticed Alicia doodling and asked, �How do you spell hair?�
Alicia didn�t look up from her paper, because she was in heavy concentration, and casually said, �H-a-i-r,�
Miss Janie happily said, Very good! What about doodle?�
Alicia wondered why everyone was always picking on her! Then she put down her pencil and answered, �D-o-o-d-l-e,�
Miss Janie happily repeated, �Very Good!� then picked on Alicia some more, �What about paradox?�
Alicia didn�t think she deserved this! Then she answered, �P-a-r-a-d-u-c-k-s,�
Miss Janie frowned, �I�m sorry, that�s wrong,� then she handed out homework, �Write the words TWENTY times!� afterwards it was time for lunch!
Lunch was Alicia�s favorite part of the day, she loved to eat eat eat. Because of this, she had forgotten about the spooky ring and her spooky dream. She was sitting at a orange octagon-shaped table with her friends: Clara and Jamie. Clara was short, but very skinny, yet she always wore floppy clothes, so it was hard to tell. She had brown hair and brown eyes. Jamie was tall with long red hair and wore white clothes, it looked kinda freaky to Alicia to Alicia, but hey they were both nice friends! Her best friend had moved away years ago, to Canada.
Alicia was having a sack lunch with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, chips, chocolate bars, Skittles, Snocaps, chocolate chip cookies, and M&Ms, she dumped it all out onto the octagon shaped table.
Clara spoke in a soft voice, with a deep uncertainty about it, �I think you might get diabetes,�
Alicia responded, �But it tastes good!� while cramming two chocolate bars into her mouth.
Jamie was eating a salad, �I think the appropriate term is...pig?�
Alicia finished her bars and started eating her peanut butter and jelly and shaking her head.
Clara asked, �Can I have your M&Ms?�
Alicia gulped, �Yeah, Mom and I always put in too much chocolate, not enough fruit candy,� she ripped open her Skittles as Clara snatched up the M&Ms.
Jamie finished her Salad, then Clara finished the last of the M&Ms, Alicia was halfway through the Skittles and then lunch was over.
Alicia pouted, �Never enough time to finish eating,� she put her remaining �food� into her lunch bag and tossed it out and shouted, �Bye guys!� then ran off to Math Class with Mr. Jabe again.
Mr. Jabe was talking multiplication, Alicia was about to start daydreaming. Dora was sitting next to her and noticed the ring in her pocket and asked, �That�s a pretty ring Alicia, why aren�t you wearing it?�
Alicia head was sideways on her desk and she answered, �Don�t wanna,�
Dora said, �Can I see it on you, just for a sec?�
Alicia was spooked by the ring, but didn�t want to answer anymore questions, and she was half-daydreaming already. So she put the ring on. Suddenly she felt a wave of heat overcome her, Afterwards her clothes and hair glew bright red. Her clothes turned bright red, while her hair turned from different shades of red, starting with pink and going to dark red, then back and forth again.
Dora started to say, �Woooow,� but she was interrupted by a brilliant flash of multicolored light that sucked Alicia inside, it was like a swirling tunnel of twisting changing colors. Reds, purples, blue, all colors of the spectrum, and Alicia had no idea where she was going...
