Notes for Josef Frank HORECKA
He came to the States on the ship, Weser in 1883; Origin, Mahren; Destination, Galveston; Port of Departure, Bremen (Citation Source, Weser List 1883).
He arrived at the port of Galveston, TX. on the 1st. of Oct. 1883. He renounced his allegiance to any other State or Soverignty, and particularly any to the King of Austria, and he will bear true allegiance to the United States, sworn in on
the 25th. of July 1887.
His daughter, Mollie had told me that he was born on the border of Freistadt, Austria & Prague, Czech., and on his citizenship record it has that he is the natural born subject of Austria, born in Frankstadt.
