Well, anyway, I just wanted you to know I do live on the same planet as you do. But um, I live on this hidden island. Its called �Crystal Island�, it�s invisible unless you have these really special glasses. At least..that�s what my parents told me, before they left me alone. I don�t know why, but most of the kids who live here, live by themselves! Its pretty weird, isnt it? I mean, they should have someone to look after them, shouldn�t they? Anyway, lots of other �weird� things are here, too, most everyone at school has some sort of special talent, not like juggling or anything. Not that we cant do some ordinary stuff, too! We�re not all THAT abnormal, right? Well, I�d like to think so, anyway. Well, me, I�m referred to as a �Starlight Spirit,� I really don�t know what that means, really. Hey, what am I, some sort of freak, having some sort of weird name like that?! It really steams me up, you know? I mean, I get a choice in these matters�don�t I? I mean I think I do? I hope? Maybe? Well..I guess I don�t, but I wish I did! Anyway, some creatures here have magical powers�but I don�t! All I have are stars on my hands! I guess people might make fun of me if I lived among �normal� people. Sniff sniff�but I still don�t like being stuck here, but it is home.
I really don�t know why Crystal Island is here...but, someday�I hope to find out! I know is there is a government that hides everything from us, but why? They don�t even sponsor news programs like you people have! (Not that I pay attention to the news anyway) I do know that there is a band of rebels that oppose the government, wow! Aren�t they courageous? I know I would never be able to do that, I�d be too scared! I mean I get scared of those noises my house makes, or the noises my ice machine makes when it makes ice. I�m like �Aah!, what�s that!?� and I jump up to go check and then I feel stupid. The Crystal Island government is so secretive that nobody even knows where they operate from, that is so creepy, isn�t it?! Then again�I don�t even know how my TV works.
Anyway, today I�m meeting one of my friends up at a Candy Store, her name is Ashley, then we�ll head over to school. So I grab my backpack, its colored black and has a single pink diamond on it. Then I�m running running running all the way to the Candy Store, because if I don�t, I might be late to school (I�m late most of the time!). Once I get from what seems like forever, Ashley is already there. Today, Ashley is wearing all black clothes to match her black hair and black eyes, which is very long, she�s shorter then me though, but my hair sure isn�t as long as hers! I fall to my knees, out of breath from running, trying desperately to catch my breath.
Ashley looks at me and said, �What took you so long girly?�
After several minutes I finally partially catch my breath and stand up saying, �I ran all the way here and you still get here first!! I don�t know�maybe I got up late��
Ashley stuck her tongue out at me, �Aww don�t worry about it!� she giggled, �You just need Ashley to buy you some candy,�
Then the two of us went into the store! It was colored purple on the outside with a small wooden door, and you just pushed it open, ready to buy all the candy you could afford! Hehe. Inside, you could tell it was once a run-down shop, because it was made of this wood that looked like it would crumble apart. The guy who owned it made it look nice though, I didn�t know the guy�s name though (I really didn�t care to know his name, either!) The store walls were decorated with pictures of some candy�s your familiar with: lollipops, gumdrops, candycanes. Then dangling all over the shops were these big candies you could lick called Juicy Bubbles. They were clear balls, but in the center there was a glowing ball, each one had a different color. Red, green, blue, orange, purple, all different colors! Just because one was purple, didn�t mean it would taste grape, no-no-no! That�s not the way it works! You never know what flavor you could get! It could be something totally weird that you�ve never tasted before in your entire life and you�re like What is THAT! That�s why I loved to come in here as much as I could. I took a lick of a red Juicy Bubble, it was delicious, like watermelon flavored whipped cream!
Ashley said, �Lets buy something, before we�re late!�
I wanted to lick more Juicy Bubbles�but she was right, I stepped over to the counter, which was draped in purple clothes and was glowing brightly. The clerk was very tall, and dressed in sparkling red robes, and had short brown hair. I must admit, he looked sorta silly. Then I pondered, �I wantttttttttt�..a blue Jiggly Cube,� I handed him some money. Then he handed me my blue Jiggly Cube. A Jiggly Cube is this blue or red cube that jiggles as you hold it, it�s juicy until you get to the very center, then its really sour. Blue is flavored like raspberry, and red is flavored like cherry, they�re really yummy, you should try them! Wait, they don�t sell them where you live, do they?
Ashley said, �I want a Smelly Splat,� she paid the clerk and got her Smelly Splat.
I said, �Ash, what you going to do with that?� A Smelly Splat wasn�t much of a candy, it was more used for a prank. It was a sphere, and when you threw it and someone, it would explode into a smelly gooey mess that would stain their clothes and smell for hours afterwards.
Ashley grinned, �You�ll see,�
I already didn�t like the sound of this. Ashley was plotting something, and I didn�t like the sounds of it, no no no! I didn�t! But, there�s no changing her mind. Besides, if I tried, she might toss it at me, and I didn�t want to become a gooey mess! I guess I�d just have to wait and see what she�d have in mind, I hope she doesn�t get in trouble though.
Ashley said, �Ready, or you wanna be late?� she stuffed the Smelly Splat in her backpack, which was colored bright yellow. I stuffed my Jiggly Cube in my backpack, too
I said, �Lets go,� we left the store, I was still worried about Ashley�s �plans,� but we rushed off to school as fast as we could. But, we were still late! I knew we were going to be though. From the time I got up, just because I�m always late all the time! What�s Ashley going to do? Why couldn�t she just have bought something to snack on? I mean, yummy candy smells so great and mmm it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. But, I�m saving my candy for later, so I can�t eat it yet! Well, I guess I COULD, there�s no rule about it or anything, but I�m going to wait! But�now I have to go to school, I�ll catch up with you later, okay?
