Chapter IX - Metamorphisis
Aznal raised up spikes of earth, trying to impale Kalm with them, but Kalm dodged all of them, running from them so his back was turned to Aznal, he turned to Aznal after Aznal stopped and said, "You done?!"

Aznal whispered, "Oh no, Oh no..im just getting started!" and the ground started to rumble violently, shaking more and more, until it was shaking so much, Kalm couldnt keep his vision straight enough to see Aznal, then a hole ripped open in the earth right below Kalm, but he quickly grabbed the edge next to him and started to climb up, he was almost up, but before he could totally get up, the ground started to rapidly close and re-open on his right leg that was still down in the pit.  When he finally got up his right leg was covered in his orange blood.

Kalm crawled on the ground, weak, and threw his sword at Aznal, straight for his chest, but Aznal batted it away with his hand, and it landed a few feet away from Kalm.  Kalm standed back up, staggering from his lack of blood.

Aznal said, "This battle will kill you, Sir Kalm!" and chunks of rock surrounded Aznal again, then Aznal pointed down at Kalm, and they flew down at Kalm, Kalm staggered from side to side, dodging them as they fell to ground, then he grabbed the last one while it flew at him, and threw it at Aznal, slamming it directly into him.  Aznal stopped levitated again, falling to his knees, Kalm quickly ran towards him, picking his sword up along the way, and slashed Aznal, catching him with a slash along the arm, blood began drooling down his arm, and Aznal started levitating again.

Kalm coughed up blood and said, "Looks like your bleeding..should fix that," and he grinned.

Aznal said, "Shut up!" raising his sword up, it began to glow yellow, and shot out a chain of rocks, but Kalm rolled to the side.  Aznal then pointed his sword at Kalm and a whirlwind of rocks started appearing upon him, whirling him up and up, when it stopped Kalm landed right next to Aznal, covered in blood.

Kalm said, "Bad choice," and slashed Aznal, knocking him down to the ground again.  Then Kalm charged his electric attack and slammed it into Aznal and Aznal screamed out in pain.

Aznal looked up at Kalm, "This isnt the end..Kalm, because, I am General..Aznal!" and blood began to erupt from his skin all over as he grew, towering above Kalm.  Cracks formed all over his skin and his skin tinted over brown as his skin slowly turned into solid rock, then his eyes dulled to a cold black, so there were no pupils, and his nose melted off, turning to blood.  A large pool of blood standing at the gigantic rock monster's feet.  The rock monster said in a deep hoarse voice, "Ha..ha..ha, I am...General...AZNAL!"

Kalm said, "Oh..damn.." and he thought to himself: Run, Kalm, run but he also knew that he had to defeat Aznal, today.  Kalm turned and ran towards the direction of the rubble of the mountain Aznal had destroyed.  He kept running as fast as he could and he heard the monster on his feet every moment, the ground trembled as it stepped.

Eventually Kalm came to the ocean and the Aznal laughed, "End of the line, Kalm! Hahaha!"

Kalm said, "No, its not," and Kalm dove into the ocean, swimming underwater, but the rock monster chased him, sinking underwater.  Kalm now started his attack, his veins glowing purple, and he released tendrils of electricity and the entire ocean become filled with electric volts.  Aznal screamed out in pain and Kalm jumped out of the mountain, leaping back on dry land, then he shook himself off quickly, by this time a large shadow was covering him, he knew it was too late and he shouldnt have dried himself off.  He found a hand around him and he was grabbed by the tremendous beast, in its hand.  Aznal squeezed him tightly, trying to break every bone in Kalm's body.  Kalm was still holding his sword however, and he turned it towards Aznal's large rock hand, piercing one of his fingers, Aznal screamed out in pain, dropping Kalm.  Kalm then energized his electric attack and slammed it into one of Aznal's eyes and Aznal staggered back.  Then Aznal put up a wall of rock to protect himself and three mini-rock monsters materilized to contront Kalm.  Kalm held his sword close and said, "Come on!" and one of the three beasts came close and Kalm shoved his sword through it, impaling it, then he drew his sword out and kicked it away.  Then another one came close and slammed its fist into him, then kicked him down to the ground.  Kalm said, "Oh, thats the way you want to play?" and got up, leaping into the air and jumped at that rock monster, slashing his sword at it and slicing its head off.  The last rock monster leaped at him but Kalm kicked it, throwing it over his back, then ran at it and sliced it in half with his sword.  Then Aznal put down his rock shield.  Kalm said, "Time up, Aznal," and charged an electric attack and slammed it into Aznal, destroying him and reducing him to nothing but pebble.  Then Kalm ran off, to find the rock wall that was keeping him from running back to the Vektich Resistance was now gone.  So he went back to the Vektich Resistance to find Karen, Rey, Vasil, and Darvein all there, and they treated his wounds slowly over the next few weeks.  Over the next month or so, while Kalm was sleeping, Kalm would bleed while sleeping from his purple veins, he had asked Rey about this to learn it was binding closer with Cremorfar, and they were becoming more connected.

Then they all had a meeting between the resistance members located here, they were discussing one: the Earth Shard.  Rey knew where it was.

Kalm asked, "So, where is it Rey?"

Rey replied, "Somewhere deep in the ocean there is a place with no water, it is here that the Earth Temple holds the Earth Shard, according to what I was told,"

Vasil said, "Sounds pretty freaky to me, this business of shards, realms, and keys, that you all are mixed up in,"

Darvein grinned and said, "Yes, perhaps,"

Kalm said, "So thats where we should go?"

Rey nodded and said, "You must find a vehicle on the Eastern Continent, it will not be simple, Kalm, but good luck," then suddenly Karen fell to her knees.

Karen said, "Everything..is dizzy,"

Vasil asked, "Whats wrong?"

Karen spoke softly, "I..need to return to a place where I can speak with the dead spirits,"

Rey said, "Kalm, you really should take care of Karen first,"

Kalm said, "Yeah, I think so too, where do you need to go?"

Karen whispered, "The southern most continent on the world, called Asatont, it means 'The Point of No Return' to my people,"

Kalm sighed, "Lovely," and replied, "Well lets go,"

Rey said, "You can find a boat in a town south of here,"

Kalm and Karen left, heading south to a small town, and Kalm had a bad feeling
about this little trip, a real bad feeling.
