The essay Guilt written by Lindsey Alderman was about the lives of all the people that had lived in Salem. This was also about the peopleís relatives or family that had to suffer of a loved on that was killed in the witch trials. In My opinion this essay went perfect with the Book the Crucible by Arthur Miller. The reason that I feel that these two books went together well was because they both had to do with guilt and that was the main point in the Essay Guilt. This tied into the story Crucible because In the story was the girls at the end I feel had some guilt for what they had done to the town and to all the people that were involved with the whole which trials. In my opinion this whole Guilt essay was a good peace of literature to read because it shows us as people a long time after that this could happen again if the person comes along and would like to try to recreate this moment in time. I also feel that this whole essay was interesting to me because it gave me insight to the characters after the play was over and done with. This essay to me comes back to the theme guilt because with out guilt then this play would of not been written and also this would not be a big part of the history of the east coast also to that point we would not be reading book today if they did not have some importance in them that we would learn from and or study in todayís world
