Their Summer "Vacations" are anything but...

The competition is brutally fierce and extremely intense...

Over the years, 1/10th of ONE point has been the difference between a World Championship and 2nd Place...

Next year's programs, finances, logistics, music, formations, choreography and schedules are being planned one day after the Drum Corps International Finals are over...

And next summer,
EVERY CORPS
starts over from scratch ...

... as if this year's World Championship never happened ...

This is the world of Drum and Bugle Corps for each young man and woman who passes their audition and becomes members of an elite organization.  Some of the best and most promising musicians, dance team members, flag and rifle team members from around the world spend their summers in sun-up to sun-down training seminars learning their "show" for this year.  When they're not practicing, they're on the road traveling from competition to competition -- often crossing the nation a minimum of twice in three months -- only to get off of buses and start practicing again.

When its time to perform, each corps functions in 100% unison.  One mistake by one person can spell disaster for the entire corps' competition that day.

That's all it takes...

And if you asked ANY member of a Drum & Bugle Corps,
not one of them would trade places with anyone else for any reason...
