Opening Thoughts ...

I am an enigma. If you were to ask anyone who knows me, they'd tell you that there is no classifying me! Put me in a box or nail me down to a "type" of person ... & I'll change right in front of your eyes and leave you babbling as I walk away...

I liken myself to the legend of the Phoenix ... rising in fiery brilliance from the ashes of my former life.

It's been a long odyssey for me. After all, how many people can say that by their 40th birthday, they've:

a. been a United States Marine & Retired;

b. been a University scholar and instructor;

c. been a Scientist;

d. been an Engineer;

e. been around the world 5 times already & at least twice in 131 countries out there; and,

f. scuba-dived into almost all of the world's oceans and major seas...

... and STILL I plan to do so much more ... I haven't even started living out my dreams!

With each passing year, as I finish one dream, I discover whole new dreams to live out, including (but certainly not limited to):
