Description
The common map turtle has a triangular yellow spot behind the eye. The carapace is green to olive-brown and patterned with thin yellow lines. A low keel is present on the flattened carapace. The plastron is yellow and lacks a pattern in adults. The skin is green with thin yellow stripes.
