Tamale Pie

Ingredients: |

1 1/2 Lbs. Lean Ground Beef
|
|
|
|
1 Large Onion, Chopped
|
|
2 Tbsp. Chile Powder
|
|
1/2 Teaspoon cayenne pepper
|
|
1 Teaspoon salt (Or to taste)
|
|
2 Teaspoons black pepper, (Or to taste)
|
|
1 Pkg Instant Cornbread Mix
|
|
1 Can (8 oz.) Whole Kernel Corn |
|
1 Can (8 oz.) Creamed Corn |
|
1 Can (8 oz.) Tomato Sauce |
|
6 Ounces Cheddar Cheese
|

In a LARGE oven-proof skillet, brown the ground beef with the onion. DRAIN WELL! Prepare the cornbread mixture as per package directions. Place beef mixture back in skillet, add seasonings, corn, tomato sauce, cornbread mix, and blend all ingredients together well. Bake at 375 for about 30 minutes. Place cheddar cheese on top (and ripe olives if you like them) and bake again until cheese melts. Serves the whole family, and sure beats Taco Bell!
