Stewed Chicken

Ingredients: |

One Large Whole Chicken, Cleaned, Seasoned, and Quartered
|
|
|
|
Two Large Onions, Diced
|
|
2 Tbsp. Oil
|
|
2 Cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
|
|
1/4 teaspoon salt (Or to taste)
|
|
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic or garlic powder
|
|
2 teaspoons black pepper, (Or to taste)
|
|
1 Soupcan Milk
|
|
1 Soupcan Water
|

Directions: |
|
In a large stock pot, place oil and seasoned chicken over high heat for a few minutes, until it starts cooking and begins to brown. Turn and lightly brown the other sides. Turn heat down to simmer, add onions, cover and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes. Remove chicken pieces from pot. Add mushroom soup, milk, remaining seasonings, and water and stir until smooth and rich. Place chicken back in soup mixture and simmer for another 15 minutes. Excellent served over rice or mashed potatoes. Enjoy! |
