Hobnail Boots
This band formed in Wellington in the early 1990s. Membership has varied over the years but has largely centred around Rob Joass, his (now) wife, Jo (nee Moir). The ever-present Mo spent some time on drums as did Hamish Graham (ex- Court Jesters). Also involved has been John Martin. On the album Gwyn Reynolds and Joel Carlson played as well. Alan Street plays bass these days.
In 1996 they recorded their first album, titled 'De'boot'

The track list is: (all songs by Rob Joass except where noted)
Later
Sleeping Dogs
Haul Away - R. Joass and J. Moir
Just Wanna Be Your Friend
I Got You - N. Finn
Old Home Town
Jimmy
Sex is My Religion
Van Diemans Land - The Edge/U2

These Boots are Made for Walking - L. Hazlewood
Meet me on the Corner

A second album has been recorded and is apparently due for release in NZ sometime around October or November 1998 although it's
not unlikely that it'll be available in Canada and elsewhere before then.
Partially, I suspect, because Rob and Jo seem to spend a chunk of their time gallavanting off around the world, the members of Hobnail have joined up with Dan and Lynley to form 'The Wee Folk'.
Robb and Jo regularly play in local bars as a Duo in various venues.
