As I always/usually depict my hair as purple, this is the first time i had myself with distinctive different hues included (other than black). After seeing how well this picture came out, I might keep it for future ones as well. In the hair, there are three distinctive purple lines which came out MUCH better than expected, it gave the feeling that I wanted from it.
The other main color is obviously red. Notice how red is the background where the purple hair is? And purple as the background color in the lower half? Yes, it was intended.
The scarf was supposed to be a translucent white, but that was hard to do and ended up becoming a pale pink instead. I guess it doesn't really matter since it didn't destroy the picture.
This picture was done in 100% pencil. I didn't even ink the lines because after the sketch, I thought that I might not need it, and mich actually take out what I wanted from the picture. So, I finelined it, erased everything else, and when that came out fine, it was obvious at that point that inks weren't needed.
