Chapter 14, April 13th, 1999

I recieved this e-mail yesterday, it was the fourth or fifth time I have recieved an e-mail like or from this. It is some kind of online dating service-type thing. Feel free to read it in its entirety.

This time was different though, I actually went to the site to see what this was all about. I browsed through it, and maybe this time I'll actually give it a whirl. I just find it ironic how this came just days after the previous chapter I have written in these reused bytes. To read it , go to Chapter 13.

I was hoping to get away from this topic, but this e-mail prompted me to write something about this. Like the first 3-4 times, I didn't care about it, and just left it alone. But I haven't had some fun in a while, and this gives me a chance. I might just join in this, type in every e-mail address of every guy that I know, just for the heck of it. hehehe. So, if you're reading this, you have been warned... but it should be some fun!

Don't get the idea that I'm a "player," even if I am female (the superior sex). I just find it fun to make witty comebacks at pick-up lines. That or playing them on, and then ditching them when they get their hopes up. TRY IT SOMEDAY! I'm SERIOUS! It's F-U-N.

Alright, another topic I want to cover in this chapter. NAMES. What's in a name? This one I have to thank a person that e-mailed me for Gauss help, his nickname is "FlubandBub" which I though was cute. Every now and then, I get a question asking about my name, Nez.

I don't blame anyone for thinking that it is a play on my name, "Nelly" shortened down to just "Nez." However, it is actually "Zen" spelled backwards. I have a fondness for quotes, adages, phrases, etc. There was a time when I used the frequently, now, it just depends who I am talking with.

One thing that I really respected my parents for was not assigning me a middle name. Upon birth, we have yet to develop motor skills, let alone having communication abilities (at least to a certain level of effectiveness in this case), so we are forced to take a name chosen by others. So unfair, but that's the way it is done, but I accept it, because how else should it be done? In anycase, as of now, I do not have a middle name, and am considering just taking my surname as my middle name upon marriage, or my spouse's surname as my middle name. But, marriage, it always comes around to a topic like this, doesn't it? ugh....
