Yesterday was the infamous April Fool's Day, and boy, did I have fun! I got 6 of my 7 pranks in. That's roughly 86%, and that's a whole lot better than my guestbook signings (let's not even start with that).
I promised ot each one that I would keep the pranks a secret, just between the "victim" and I. If word spreads about my mischievious deed, it didn't come from me! I have apologized to them already, but it is up to them whether or not they want to accept it. Eitherway, I am not going to beg for forgiveness on a joke.
But let's talk about pranks in general. Why do we do it? It's fun, of course! And this day gives us a good excuse to do it, whereas any other time of the year may not be as acceptable. I've never done any of the "traditional" April Fool's Day pranks. Having a bucket of water on top of the door, so that anyone that opens the door will be drenched. Nor have I ever done the "telescope" one with the black marker, so that anyone that looks into the telescope/tube/kalediscope will have a black ring around his/her eye. I read this some time ago, but there is one country that on April Fool's day, everyone will come out and just drench each other with water! Like a water fight with no holds barred! Sounds like a lot of fun!
If you have read the sidebar on the left, this day also allows me to use my favorite phrases many times and without qualms! Hence, another one of my exhilarating days!
The thing about these practical jokes to not to get too far into it. They're meant for laughter and pranks, not to get anyone too hurt. Although I considered my pranks harmless, there are others that took it the wrong way. Which leads me to an idea for the next chapter. ARGH! I have so many ideas lined up, but I never get the chance to type them up!
