Faery ring
These are little circles of brighter green found in old pastures - faeries dance within this ring by night; when May-dew was collected by young women to improve complexion, they avoided touching the grass within the ring so as not to displease the fae and lose personal charms. Peasants will affirm that no sheep or cattle will wander there, for they have a natural instinct which warns them of the ring's mystic nature. A few miles of Alnwick, it is said that people who run around a faery circle more than 9 times have evil befall them.
