Bad Kitty Haiku
So, what is bad kitty haiku? According to Elaine (Uberwench), haiku is fixed form. It consists of 17 syllables,
organized into three unrhymed lines of five, seven, and five syllables. Supposedly they evoke strong spriritual visions, or striking images of nature.
What makes it 'bad'? Well, the idea is to write about something that features the 'less than perfect' things about our cats (ie: litterbox, bad habits, etc.)
Where did this BKH come from? From the CatFancy BKH Poets Society, of course!
Wee cats slap at pens
Grab for paper, flop on hands
Too late!!! Bad Haikus!

The litter box is full.
Filled from rim to rim with protein.
It is my husband's turn.
I won't chase the birds.
Maybe one pounce when mommy's not looking.
Aaah! The water gun again!

Hair stuffed noses
Itchy puffy kitty bites
Still I love them so!
I look at kitty just now
hypnotised, switch lunch
Love must taste better than this!
I give kitty a clean bath
he says let me go
goes and rolls in litter "Yuck!"

Big hairball on chair
The purr-fect place for it
Someone will soon sit
I know you're sleeping
Now I want to romp and play
Wake up, you human!
How dare you move now!
A cat gets comfortable
And wants to stay put
Thunder booms, rain falls
I must hide under something
