Steve Irwin is a herpetologist who owns and works at The Australia Zoo. His job sometimes takes him on wild journeys all over Australia, and now the world, finding all sorts of creatures that need his help, or telling us about them. His specialty are crocodiles. He can catch the right sized crocodile with his bare hands for he's been doing this since he was a young boy (tough kid!). A worker at Steve's Zoo says "Steve does not make mistakes when he's working, it would cost him his life with some of the animals he deals with".
His main partners are, his wife Terri, who tries her best to put up with Steve and the situations he gets her into, and his dog Sui, a brave dog that knows when to stay out the way. Most of the action is caught on the cameras and is shown on his TV show called "The Crocodile Hunter" and is watched by millions of viewers world wide. It seems to have a great impact on some of the viewers, and those who watch it thoroughly enjoy it, for it is crammed with entertainment and education. Steve is extremely Boisterous and very active. Steve is also extremely courageous and you'd think he doesn't have a fear in the world, but in fact you'd be surprised. Steve and Terri delivered their baby girl called Bindi Sue Irwin on the 24th of July, 98. Bindi will be celebrating her 1st birthday soon. Fatherhood should be a long lasting and most memorable adventure for Steve.
