Attended St. Luke's Public School, Finch Township,
and Avonmore High School; graduated McGi11 B.A., 1929,
and M.A., 1930; Presbyterian College,Montreal, B.D., 1933,
and Hon. D.D., 1979; and Edinburgh University Ph. D., 1935.
As student minister, gave summer supply in a number of charges,
including Knox, Blue Mountain, and Blair, Garden of Eden,
1929 and 1930; and St. Andrew's (The Kirk), New Glasgow, in 1933.
Minister, Kenyon Church, Dunvegan, Ontario,
in Glengarry County, 1935-59. Leave of absence, 1941-45,
with the Royal Canadian Air Force Chaplaincy Service
in Canada and Overseas. Professor of Theology at
the Presbyterian College, Montreal, and the McGi11
aculty of Religious Studies, 1959-78;
Acting Principal of the Presbyterian College, 1973-78;
and author of 'The Kirk in Glengarry,' (474 + X p.p.), 1984.
Married in October, 1936, to Jean MacLean, Ottawa;
two sons: Donald K., Medical Doctor, Finch, Ont.;
and Robert N., Teacher, Lisgar Collegiate, Ottawa.
