to glitter in the afternoon sun, and is never in need of care. Wrapped in the wools and furs of his people, the young northman always seems to encourage trust and inspire respect in those of his culture that he meets, though he never seems forceful nor aggressive. The southerners have not reacted as favorably to the nobility evident in the heart of this brave, young warrior, being unable to allow their bitter prejudice, born of many generations of hatred which gnarls their souls like the roots of the swamp rot-lick tree, to
give way to honest respect as is the custom among the people of the north. Yet, through courageous and selfless deeds, and through patient virtuous tolerance of the injustices and hatred of these people, even some of these are coming to honestly regard the young northman, and to boldly offer the manly right hand of comradery.

History: From the southern lands, Rodrey was called to go to the far north by his god to recover an artifact located there. The Spear of Life was used centuries ago by the inhabitants of the land to fend off both the barbarian tribes who roamed the area as well as the many orcs that were native to the cold plains.

Appearance: This northman has clearly seen many winters come and go, testified by the wrinkles on his face and white hair. Typical of the "barbarians", his fair skin is matched by his fair hair and eyes. Though the winters have been tough on him, he has weathered well, however, his limp gives away the fact his right leg is not much more than a mangled heap.
History: Growing up in the harsh north, Kadis' tribe was one of the Snow barbarian tribes that was decimated by the orcs that infest the traditional home of the northmen. Surviving by hunting, Kadis was joined by another with a similar history, a young northman named Starka. While at a small "rest stop", they met Rodrey, a southerner, who recruited them to help recover the Spear of Life. Later, in helping the settlement of Dor'sky against goblin invasions, Starka was killed in a large earthquake, the same which left Kadis crippled for life. However, Dor'sky was saved and honored the adverturers, naming them the Saviors of Dor'sky, and inducted them as full warriors of the tribe. Kadis remained there with Jan.
