Who is ROADRUNNER Motorsports? We are a fairly young karting team, young as in new to the sport. 2004 will be our sophomore season starting off hopefully carrying momentum from a good finish in the 2003 season. Chris Carden, and his step dad Jim "Shanghai" Shahan are piloting 2002 ULTRAMAX blaze chassis, powered by BKR karts & parts engines built by Billy Weidner. Billy's son Jeff Weidner turns the wrenches as our pit crew. Lisa Shahan does our video taping and keeps track of our lineups, and does the cheerleading.

First wins of the 2003 season.

This is my late father Jim Shahan whom we lost Feb. 12, 2003. Roadrunner was his CB handle. We named the team after him. Maybe we can live up to his accomplishments and the expectations he would have had of us. And just maybe carry on the tradition of speed that ran in my family.
