Your contribution to Robert Garrison's campaign for the Congress is sincerely appreciated.
Individuals may contribute $1,000 during the Primary Election, and $1,000 during the General Election, for a maximum of $2,000 to a candidate's campaign. Therefore, a married couple may contribute a total of $4,000 in an election cycle: $2,000 from the wife and $2,000 from the husband. Checks must be signed by the contributor, not by the spouse, and should specify the designated election. Contributions that do not specify Primary or General will be designated to the election current at the time of receipt (Primary through August 1, 2002; General August 2 through November 5, 2002). Contributions are not deductible for Federal income tax purposes.
Political committees are required by Federal Election Law to use their best effort to report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed more than $200 in an election cycle. Individual contributions may not total more than $1,000 per election cycle to the committee.
Also prohibited by Federal law are contributions to the committee from a foreign national who lacks permanent resident status, from a Federal government contractor, from any person contributing another's funds, and the general treasury funds of labor organizations, a corporation, or national banks, to including corporate or other business entity credit cards.
