Beauty in Mississippi Often Overlooked by Natives

I added this page because often while living in this part of the country I have found that I tend to overlook it's beauty until I am away and get to missing home. Some of the pictures depicted on this page are beautiful, some are common, some are down right humerous, but I feel they make Mississippi the most wonderful home I could have ever imagined.

Eatonville Mississippi

This is one of the humorous shots.....if you fail to see why, you might be from Mississippi

Waveland Alligator

One of the Coastal Delta's chief residents (Waveland)

U.S.M.

U.S.M.'s Administration Building. I love the campus, some of my fondest memories surrounding it are homecomings and the Hustle and Bustle of Home Games. (Hattiesburg)

Tubin'

Tubing the Bogue Chitto (Sam's Country - McComb)

Sunrise

Sunrise at Bay St. Louis

Beverly Drive In

This was a landmark I identified with on the way back from visiting my granparents in Gulfport. That was when it was in full working order. I also remember going there to see Towering Inferno, which warped my fragile little mind.

Delta Country

I lived in the Delta for a Summer, but grew homesick for the rolling clay hills and pine trees of my home, South Mississippi. I always did find the Cotton Fields pretty though, and miss the laid back attitude of the Delta. (Boyle)

South Mississippi's Scenic routes

I tend to find myself driving down these scenic routes rather than the Breakneck Interstates whenever I can. (Hwy 53 on the way to Necaise Crossings)

Dunn's Falls

Dunn's Falls (outside of Meridian).
