Charles Ramon was the first born son of George James Doherty. Born on Nov. 28, 1929. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1947, and retired in 1970 to return to Hattiesburg. Charles Opened a Resteraunt/drinking establishment that he soon found not to his liking. "Chuck's" generous nature had reduced his profits to a minimal level. He exited the Service industry to work as a carpenter, renovating Resteraunts, and a house on Mable Street, that he lived in. He purchased a fishing camp in Waveland Mississippi and lived his remaining years there. Happy with a fishing rod in his hand and a juke box for this nephew to keep feeding quarters.
