At the mansion, the spell affects Ivy and causes her to find the letter she wrote to Sam before she married Julian. She realizes this is one of the letters her father intercepted. She reads the old letter, and begins to cry. Sam comes in and sees her reading the letter, and she tells him what it is. She wonders what would have happened if her family hadn�t interfered. Sam says there is no point, she wouldn�t have been happy being a cop�s wife. Ivy says she would have done anything to be with him. Sam and Ivy are hit by the spell, and begin thinking how their life would have been if they were married, with Ivy as a blue collar housewife! Ivy is happier than she has ever been, and Sam is happy as well. To top it all off, Ethan is a cop and working with Sam! Ivy tells Sam that these visions are proof that they could have been happy! Suddenly, Ivy and Sam begin making out!
At the party, Theresa and Whitney talk about the men they love. Theresa tells Whitney that she has to fight for the man she loves, just like she will fight for Ethan. Whitney doesn�t know how Theresa stays so sure in herself. Theresa says it is because of fate. Theresa and Whitney are hit by the spell, and Theresa has visions of what would have happened if she never stopped Gwen and Ethan marrying, she is the Crane housekeeper and Ethan and Gwen living in the mansion. Theresa continues to have visions of herself accepting a life alone and as Ethan�s made, because it was the closest she could get to him. She then saw Ethan have a heart attack, and as he was dying, he told her that he�s always loved her. Ethan tells Theresa that she was the one he should have spent his life with. Theresa tells Ethan that she always loved him too, and she never said anything because he was with Gwen. Theresa gives Ethan one kiss before he dies. After her vision ends, Theresa realizes she has to marry Ethan more than ever! Ethan, meanwhile, has the same visions as Theresa, and she runs to him and compares notes. They are spooked by the coincidence, and Theresa says this is destiny telling them that they are meant to be together. Meanwhile, Chad and Whitney begin to wonder how different things would be for them if they had made different choices.
Sheridan talks to Gwen, and she wonders what would happen if she met Antonio first. Gwen says there is no point in asking what if when all that matters is right now. Sheridan is hit by the spell, and begins having dreams about meeting Antonio first and marrying him long ago, and if Luis and Beth married. Sheridan is upset because not only was she happy with Antonio, but Luis was so happy with Beth. In her vision, Luis and Beth dropped by to use the pool, and Sheridan and Antonio have children! Sheridan goes to Luis with her fears, and he tells her that as long as they love one another, nothing else matters.
At the party, the potion of doubt continues to affect the residents of Harmony. Simone confronts Kay about why she is so angry? Kay blurts out that she can�t wait until David and Ivy tear her parents apart! Simone asks what that is supposed to mean? Kay says once David and Ivy break up her parents, her mother will stop interfering in her life and her father will once again be on her side again. Simone says she can�t blame her mom for having doubts, but Kay says her mom never believes her, and she always puts everyone else ahead of her. Kay says her mom has to pay for everything she has does to her, and she hopes Ivy steals her dad from her mom so she can suffer like she has been. Simone can�t believe she is hearing this. Kay soon ends up being affected by the spell, and begins thinking �what if Charity never came to town.� Miguel shows up, and he too is affected by the spell. They see themselves happy, in college, and Miguel proposing to Kay. Later, Charity just gets into town after their moms found one another, and Kay asked Charity to be her maid of honor. After the vision ends, Miguel wonders what that nightmare was. Kay says it was no nightmare, they were happy together. The potion brings Kay and Miguel together, and makes them kiss!
Whitney and Chad end up having visions. Whitney sees herself as a big Tennis champion, and Chad is married to Simone and they have a child together, �little Whitney!� Chad also has the visions, and they think it is very weird. They realize that they have to tell Simone the truth now. As they hug, Simone stumbles upon them!
David meets up with Grace in the conservatory. Grace wanted to be alone, but David thinks she should not be alone right now. Grace vents to David about Kay�s problems, and how she blames herself. Grace thinks she needs to be married to Sam legally to set everything right, so he must obtain it as soon as possible. David says he�s having a problem getting the annulment, and she is the cause of the problem. David tells Grace that he loves her, and that is a problem in them being granted the annulment. David says the church won�t grant an annulment because he is still in love with her, but Grace says she doesn�t love him. Grace says she can�t remember her past, and David says that is why it is just so damn unfair. David says he waited for her to return, he never fell in love with anyone else or moved on, and he wonders what it would have been like if she hadn�t met Sam or got amnesia. David and Grace then experience the spell, and see themselves as a happily married couple. David tells Grace that he wants that back, and he knows she still has feelings for him.
In the study, Sam and Ivy end up in a hot kiss after their visions. One of the maids walks in on Ivy and Sam, and Ivy makes sure the maid keeps quiet. Sam doesn�t understand what just happened, and he says that kiss shouldn�t have happened. Ivy says whatever they just experienced, it proves that they belong together. Ivy says all she ever wanted to be was his wife, and the mother of his children. Ivy accuses Sam of being afraid to admit she could have been happy because he can�t forget his love for her. Ivy knows Sam still wants him, and that he wants to make love to her right here and now. They end up in another hot kiss, and Sam pulls away and says he can�t do this. Sam tells Ivy that it ended for them years ago. Ivy tells Sam if he can turn his back on what they both know is true, then she won�t stop him. Sam walks off to find Grace, and finds her in a kiss with David!
At the hospital, Charity continues ready poetry with �cousin� John. John shares a poem he wrote with Charity, and he says his mother inspired it, and it was written before he knew his mother was alive. Charity and John bond over growing up not having a mother, and John wishes he could find the right girl. Charity tells John that she�s a bit psychic, and she has a feeling that he will find the right woman one day. Later, Charity is affected by a feeling, and she says she has to leave because evil has returned! She says she has to get to the mansion and warn Miguel. John agrees to take her when she says she�ll find her own way there. John and Charity arrive at the party, just in time to see Miguel and Kay kissing!
Sam attacks David, but Grace tells him to stop this because it is not his fault. Grace explains she and David had a vision as if they were married, and afterwards it felt like they still were. Sam is furious, but Grace ends up even more furious when the maid blurts out Sam and Ivy were kissing earlier. She can�t believe Sam has gotten all holy with her when he was doing the same thing. Sam says it was different with him and Ivy, so she asks him to explain.
Simone finds Whitney and Chad together, and blows up. She kicks herself for not seeing it earlier, and for telling Kay that they weren�t an item behind her back. She tells them that she hates them both and will hate them for the rest of her life. Simone runs off, and they run after her. Simone ends up jumping in Julian�s sports car, and speeds off!
At the party, Charity is stunned to see Kay kissing Miguel, and he is stunned to see her here. She says evil has returned, and she had to come warn him. She sees the green smog, and then so do Kay and Miguel. They say they didn�t see it before, and Charity says that is because you never see evil until you realize it is at work. Miguel says that must explain why he kissed Kay. Kay sees Charity and Miguel once again getting back together, so she decides to break them up by telling Charity about her and Miguel�s night of sex.
Sheridan talks to Luis about her visions, and Luis tells her it doesn�t matter if Beth was his first love, she is the love of his life. Sheridan says he was just so happy with Beth, and Luis begins to wonder if Sheridan is having second thoughts. He asks if she is using these visions as an excuse to break things off with him?
Theresa thinks about her visions as Ethan comes to see her. She tries to convince him that they are an omen that they are meant to be together, but Ethan tells her it is over. Gwen overhears Ethan tells Theresa that he loved her once, but that was in the past, he loves Gwen now and needs someone he can trust. Later, Gwen confronts Theresa and tells her to give up, but Theresa refuses.
Kay tells Charity if honesty is what will keep evil at bay, then there is something she needs to share with her about Miguel. Before she can, they hear commotion coming from outside. Outside, Simone jumps in Julian�s car and takes off as Whitney and Chad yell at her to stop! Simone crashes into the garage, and people come running to help. Simone is okay, but she is still furious with Whitney and Chad. Charity tells Simone that some strange things have been going on here tonight, evil is back and doing things to people. Whitney tells Simone that she and Chad had a vision, she was alone and still playing tennis and she and Chad were married with a child. Simone says she is so sorry she jumped to conclusions. Simone thinks Chad was comforting Whitney because she was upset to see herself all alone in the future, and she is sorry for doubting Chad�s love for her. She also tells Whitney that she will always be welcomed in her family, so she should never consider herself alone. Charity asks Kay what she wanted to tell her earlier, and she says she just wanted them both to know that making love before marriage is looked down upon by the church. Later, everyone goes back to the party, except for Simone and Kay. Simone tells Kay that what happened tonight is all her fault for putting all those lies in her head about Chad and Whitney. Simone says she made her look like a pathetic teenager in front of Chad, but Kay points out she is a teenager, only 18! They argue, and Kay refuses to listen to this anymore and leaves to insure her own future with Miguel. Back at the party, Chad and Whitney discuss Simone�s behavior, and how they will be able to tell her the truth.
Elsewhere at the party, Beth continues to encourage Antonio to elope with Sheridan as soon as possible. She says they could elope tonight, Sheridan does have access to the Crane jet. Meanwhile, Mrs. Wallace decides to stop whatever trouble Beth is starting up now. When she finds out what Beth is doing, she tells Antonio not to elope with Sheridan. She says his family will be very unhappy not to see them marry, especially Luis because it cheats him out of marrying the woman he loves without his brother. Mrs. Wallace says she is very thirsty, so Antonio leaves to get her some water. Beth scolds her mother, but she says she�s only trying to save her soul. Beth says she is just trying to keep her at home! Beth and Mrs. Wallace then has a vision of their own, they see Beth as an old woman still loving with her 120 year old mother! Later, Mrs. Wallace sees Luis and Sheridan together, and she gets an idea.. She tells Antonio that he and Sheridan should elope tonight, and come back and have a second ceremony later. Antonio likes the idea and asks if she has seen Sheridan? She says she has, and directs him to where she is. Beth learns what her mother did, and she can�t believe her.
At the solarium, Luis asks Sheridan if she wants to call it quits between them? Sheridan says she doesn�t want to end their relationship, she loves him. Luis asks her why she�s trying to get rid of him then? Sheridan says she just began to doubt she could make him that happy, so she was willing to sacrifice her happiness. Luis tells her that she is so wonderful. As they kiss, Antonio arrives and sees Sheridan and Luis in one another�s arms. Antonio says this can�t be!
Down in Hecuba�s lair, Tabitha lectures Connie and Hecuba about things getting out of control and ruining everything.
