Chad goes to the recording studio and starts putting the masters tape in his bag, but notices one of the tapes is missing. he sees it is in the machine and wonders what they have done to it. He listens to it and notices that the background vocals have been changed. As he plays with the machine, Howard shows up behind Chad with a gun! Howard tells him that he warned him not to come back here, but he didn't listen. Chad says he only wanted credit for his work, and then tells Howard that he is a fraud. Howard tells Chad that dreamers like him are a dime a dozen. Chad tells Howard that he'll never come up with platinum sellers with him gone, and one day he'll be a bigger producer because he's got talent, something Howard doesn't have. Howard tells CHad that he has already blackballed him, he couldn't get a job sweeping a studio floor in Pakistan. Howard tells Chad that they are going into the back alley now. Chad decks Howard and ends up beating the crap out of him. Howard's goons show up and grab Chad, but Chad breaks free and decks them both. Howard ends up hitting Chad over the head, and Chad's friend walks in to see him on the floor. Howard tells the guy to make sure Chad is out of here within fifteen minutes or he is fired! He also says he should tell Chad to leave LA tonight, because if their paths cross again he will get more than a bump on the head! Chad eventually comes to and Boomer, his friend, relays the threats to Chad. Boomer asks him where he will go? Chad looks at the clipping and Boomer suggests he goes there. Chad says he might as well.
At the Crane mansion, Sheridan walks into the living room and is flooded with memories of the night she killed the mysterious man. She fears she'll go to prison if Luis finds out what she did. Suddenly, Luis shows up and arrests Sheridan for murder! Sherdian says she didn't mean it, it's not her fault! Of course it was all a dream. Sheridan wakes up in her cottage to find Luis standing above her. Luis asks her what she was dreaming about, what did she do that she didn't mean to do? Sheridan asks what he is doing here? Luis says he came by to explain about the fax, but he heard her screaming and came in thinking she was in trouble. Sheridan asks Luis what he found out about her past? Luis says not much, her family made sure her life is not public. Luis asks what she was worried that he would find? Sheridan says she wasn't worried, there is nothing to find. She asks him what gives him the right to snoop into her past? Luis says he has the right to see who is working with the kids, but admits that she is the first person he has run a background check on. Sherdian says lucky me. Luis says he didn't come here to fight, he needs her to work at the center tonight. Sheridan says fine and then tells him goodbye! Luis asks Sheridan what she is so sorry about in her nightmare? Sherdian says the only thing she is sorry about is giving him an excuse to arrest her! Luis leaves, and Sheridan tells herself that he can never find out. Luis goes home and wonders what Sheridan is hiding. He says whatever she is sorry for, he is going to find out just what it is.
At the park, Whitney and Theresa are walking side by side. Whitney tells Theresa that she has to stop making herself sick, she'll probably never run into Ethan again. Theresa says she can't because if she does and causes another accident, Ethan will send her to jail! Ethan pops out from the bushes and calls out Theresa's name. Theresa turns around, and as the two walk towards one another, a chef carrying a bunch of eggs walks in between them. They both bump the chef, whose eggs go flying into the air. The eggs rain down on Ethan's head Theresa says she is so sorry and didn't do it on purpose. Ethan just stares at her angrily. The chef gets up and Theresa swears to Ethan that she would never do this to him on purpose. Ethan thinks she did it deliberately, but the chef says someone bumped his arm. Ethan says it was not his fault, it was caused by someone who hates him! Ethan leaves, and Theresa thinks she is going to jail. She thinks that her mom will be fired, and Luis will be the one who arrests her. Theresa and Whitney walk home, and Theresa doesn't know how she can face Luis. Whitney looks inside and sees that Luis is smiling. Theresa thinks Ethan must not have called the cops yet. She says there is no use putting this off, she might as well tell her brother the truth. When Whitney and Theresa go inside, Luis hugs Theresa and says he loves her. They are both puzzled. Luis says compared to another lady he knows, Theresa is a saint! He says that he told her to stay away from Ethan for the good of the family and she did. Luis tells her that the whole Crane family is crazy. Theresa asks what he means? Luis tells her all about Sheridan and how she is nuts. Theresa tells Luis that she has something to tell him, but he realizes it is late and he has to finish sealling the windows before winter and then get to the Youth Center. Luis goes downstairs to get some calking, and Theresa tells Whitney that she will tell Luis the truth when he gets back. Whitney thinks that maybe Luis will surprise her and not be mad. Theresa says she doesn't even know how that last accident happened. She fears she'll graduate highschool from jail, but Whitney says maybe not. She tells Theresa that she has to take care of something important, but will explain later. Whitney leaves and Luis returns from the basement. Theresa tells Luis that she has to tell him something, but Luis says he has something to tell her first. Luis says he's saved up the money to send their mom back to the old country for Christmas! He says that he can't wait to see the look on her face when they tell her. Theresa thinks when she is arrested and mom is fired, Luis will have to use the money to pay the mortgage. Luis sees Theresa is worried and asks what is wrong? Luis takes her hands and they sit on the sofa. Theresa says she just doesn't want anything to keep mama from going on this trip. Luis hugs her and says nothing will prevent it. Luis decides he has to go to the center, but Theresa tells him that she has something very important to tell him.
Ethan goes to see Sheridan, he still has eggs all over his head. Sheridan asks what happened to him? Ethan tells her that he'll give her three guesses! He asks to use her shower because his parents are home and he doesn't want to answer a lot of questions. Sheridan tells him of course he can, but wants to know what happened. Ethan tells her that he had a run in with his stalker, after he was stupid enough to say the stalker Frank caught was the wrong girl. Sheridan tells Ethan that he has to have her arrested, but who is she? Ethan says that is the craziest thing of all, she is Pilar's daughter! Ethan explains everything to Sheridan and why he couldn't have Pilar's daughter arrested. Sheridan thinks she knows what is going on, Theresa's brother has probably brainwashed Theresa to hate him! After Ethan's shower he finds Sheridan reading the book about getting past your past. Sherdian asks Ethan if he will have Theresa arrested? Ethan says he doesn't have a choice, Theresa needs help. Ethan calls Frank, but he is not there. Sheridan thought he was calling the police, but Ethan says that he thinks it is only fair he call Frank first. Sheridan realizes that Ethan doesn't want to do this, and he admits that he doesn't because it will change Pilar's family for life. However, he says he can't risk Theresa going after her or his sisters, but will make sure she gets the best psychological help possible. Ethan decides to call the cops, and as he is on the phone, Whitney shows up.
At the hospital, Jessica goes to take the headphones off of Charity to listen to what type of music her sister has prepared, but the wires are tangled with the oxygen tubes. Miguel helps her untangle them, and Simone hums the death march for Kay and tells her that is the only music she'll be hearing when Miguel finds out what she has done! Just as Jessica gets the tape untangled and is about to listen to the music, a nurse comes in and kicks them out so she can check Charity's vitals. Kay wonders how she will talk her way out of this one. Simone suggests she confess everything before Miguel hears the tape, but Kay says she's nuts! Kay thinks there has to be a way to distract everyone, and approaches the fire alarm! Simone tells her that she is out of her mind, her father is the Chief of Police! Kay guesses she is right. Simone tells her that she doesn't know why she stays friends with her. The nurse Kay and Simone that they can go back in now, and Kay realizes she is dead. Inside, Jessica insists Miguel listen to the tape Kay made for Charity. Miguel goes to listen to the tape, and hears only hip-hop music. He tells Kay that he didn't know she liked hip-hop music. Kay listens to the tape, which is Naughty by Nature. Kay wonders what happened to the tape she made? Jessica is confused and listens to the tape as well, and Miguel thanks Kay and goes back to Charity's side. Jessica tells Kay that she doesn't know how she switched the tape, but she will find it and make sure Miguel knows what she did!
In the hall, Kay and Simone wonder how the tape got switched. Meanwhile, two nurses are talking, one of them said that she switched the girls tape because the one in the walkman had ended. They put Kay's tape in a tape recorder to listen to it, but a code blue sounds, and the nurses run off. Kay hears her tape being played at the nurses station, and wonders where it is coming from? Jessica is about to leave the room, and lucky for Kay she finds where the tape is playing and puts on some hip-hop. Jessica tells her sister that she will figure out what she is up to! After Jessica leaves, Kay destroys the tape she made. Kay hopes Charity heard enough of the tape to make Miguel scare her. BAck in Charity's room, Charity calls out Miguel's name as she sleeps.
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald place, Theresa tells Luis that what she can say can wait, but then changes her mind. Luis asks what is going on, how's school? Theresa says school is fine, and Luis tells her he's so proud that she dropped her fantasy of marrying Ethan. Luis says he has to go, but they will talk when he gets home. Pilar returns home and Theresa tells her how lucky she is that Ethan didn't turn her in. She tells Theresa to stay away from Ethan. Theresa says it is too late, she could be arrested any minute now! Pilar doesn't understand, so Theresa explains the latest accident. She wishes she had listened to her mom and never took that job working for Ivy. Pilar says they have a very serious problem on their hands. Pilar asks if Luis knows? Theresa said she tried to tell him but couldn't. She says she should just run away to a place nobody can find her, then nobody would have to worry. Pilar tells Theresa to put that idea out of her head, she doesn't want to lose any more members of her family. Suddenly, there is a knock at the door, and Theresa fears it's the police. Theresa answers the door and is shocked to see Ethan. Whitney is behind Ethan, and Theresa asks what is going on? Ethan asks if they can come in, so she invites them in. Theresa grabs Whitney and tells her that she is so sorry for this and if the police question her to say she threatened her into lying, she would die if Ethan learned how she felt. Pilar tells Ethan that she won't ask him to give his daughter another chance, he should do what he came to do. Theresa agrees, and says she deserves whatever she gets. Ethan says he will make sure she gets what she deserves, she has her friend Whitney to thank for that. Theresa tells Ethan that whatever Whitney said was a lie, she made her lie, all the accidents where her fault! Ethan tells Theresa to slow down, Whitney didn't take the blame for anything. Ethan tells her that Whitney is a very good friend and he wants her to take a look at something. Ethan pops a tape into the VCR, and Theresa asks what is going on? Whitney tells Theresa that something she said earlier gave her an idea. The tape is from the security camera outside the Chicken Coup, the manager loaned it to her because his son is one of her tennis students. Theresa asks why he is dragging this out, just take her to the police station and get it over with! Ethan tells her to be patient and just watch. Ethan plays the tape, which proves the eggs accident wasn't her fault. The tape shows that Ethan is the person who tripped the baker! Ethan says he was wrong to accuse her, and realizes she probably didn't mean to cause the other accidents either. Theresa starts jumping around for joy, and without realizing what she does, she grabs Ethan and plants a kiss on his cheek!
At the hospital, Miguel is still waiting for Charity to wake up, and hopefully recognize her. Charity calls out Miguel's name in her sleep, and Miguel rushes to her side, thinking he heard her say his name. Grace shows up and asks Miguel if Charity has woken up yet? Miguel says no, and thinks he heard Charity say his name. Grace suggest he take a break and go to basketball practice at the youth center. Miguel decides to leave, and thanks Mrs. Bennett for staying with Charity. Grace sits by Charity's side as she sleeps. She talks to Charity and tells her how she dreads having to tell her about her mother. However, they are her family now and will see to it that she is well. She can't believe history is repeating itself, and she prays Charity will wake up and remember everything. The nurse comes in and says she will keep an eye on Charity. Grace decides to leave, but not before giving Charity a kiss and promising to be back. After Grace leaves, Charity begins to stir in her sleep.
At the youth center, the boys are busy playing a game of basketball while the girls watch. Kay wonders why Miguel isn't here. Jessica says maybe Charity woke up and he and Charity are together. Kay just hopes the tape she made for Charity did its job, but Simone says she hopes she didn't. Simone tells Kay that she isn't playing fair, but Kay could care less. Reese shows up sporting some really geeky glasses protector. Jessica tells her sister that her boyfriend Reese is looking at her. They end up bickering about Kay's tape, Jessica vows to find out what her sister is up to. Luis shows up and he and Hank help teach the kids some basketball moves. Sheridan soon shows up and Luis smiles when he thinks about her walking in on him in the shower. All the girls love Sheridan's jacket, and Kay realizes she is Sheridan Crane. Kay just loves Sheridan's ruby ring, which Sheridan says was a gift. Jessica asks how you can tell a real ruby from a fake one? As Sheridan explains, Luis listens in and is not pleased. Luis tells Hank, loud enough so Sheridan can hear, that she should give them a lesson in how to be spoiled! Sheridan doesn't appreciate the comment, and Hank tells Luis not to make a scene. Miguel shows up and tells everyone that Charity is still unconscious, which lifts Kay's spirits. Sheridan asks the girls when their team practices? Jessica says they don't have a team because nobody has been here to coach them. Sheridan says that is so unfair, but Luis says the girls never asked to have their own team. SHeridan asks if he ever asked them if they wanted to play? Luis says they are short staffed here and it takes time to learn how to play. Sheridan says it's not rocket science, how hard can it be? Luis challenges Sheridan to some one on one, and she tells him he's on! Hank asks Luis what he hopes to accomplish by playing Sheridan? Luis tells him that he'll see, and they start their game. Luis of course slaughters her and tells her this is a guys game! Sheridan mumbles that she'll see about that. Luis and Hank walk home after the game and Hank tells Luis that if he didn't know any better, he'd say that game of one-on-one turned him onto Sheridan. Luis says "A Crane? Never!" He says if their little game proved anything it is that she'll never be a basketball player. Back at the youth center, Robert Horry shows up to teach Sheridan how to play basketball. Robert thinks she wants to show up her boyfriend, but Sheridan says "not in a million years!"
At Tabitha's place, Timmy and Tabitha are packing up there stuff to move. Tabitha wishes the brat had just died, they had such a nice life here. Tabitha remembers the fire and says she hadn't seen such a fire since the Salem Witch trials. Timmy asks why she can't cause another fire to kill Charity? Tabitha says she has lost her powers, so now they have to leave Harmony. Timmy asks her where they will go? Tabitha says she guesses the circus. Timmy yells "No!, Timmy hates sawdust!" and then faints. Tabitha tells him to wake up and shape up, she has too much on her mind to baby him. Timmy says he will be okay as long as he is with his princess. Tabitha tells Timmy that she never thought she'd see the day when she would leave Harmony with her tail tucked between her legs. Timmy is shocked and asks "You have a tail?" Tabitha tells him that it was a figure of speech. She says it would take a miracle for them to be able to stay, and miracles were never her strong suit. Later, someone rings Tabitha's doorbell. Tabitha asks who it is, and Grace answers. Tabitha hides Timmy in a box and tells him to be quiet. Tabitha lets Grace in, and Grace says she just stopped by to see how she has been doing. Grace sees all the boxes and asks what is going on? Tabitha says she is just doing a little fall cleaning. Grace mentions the police benefit, which has turned from a picnic to a flea market, and tells Tabitha is she finds anything worth donating to drop it off at the benefit. Grace sees Timmy, who is now an inactive doll, and suggests Tabitha donate him. Timmy tells himself "No way!" Tabitha says she couldn't donate that silly thing, but Grace says her dolls are wonderful. Tabitha says that doll is damaged, warped, its head isn't screwed on right! Tabitha asks how she has been doing, how is her niece doing? Grace says Charity isn't doing well, she doesn't know about her mother yet, and she may have lost her memory. Tabitha is surprised to learn that Charity has amnesia, which lifts Tabitha's spirits. Grace asks Tabitha to please pray for Charity, and says she has to go to the benefit. Tabitha tells her that she can't go without a donation, and hands Grace a box of junk. Grace leaves, and Tabitha does a happy dance. Timmy dances the congo to "Char-it-y has am-ne-sia" and Tabitha says this means they have nothing to fear from Charity! Back at the hospital, Charity stirs in her sleep and mumbles "evil!"
At the mansion, Ivy turns on the stereo and listens to Billy Joel's "Just the way you are," which brings back memories. Julian walks in and says he's beginning to think this is the only song in the world. Ivy tells him never to creep up on her again! Julian asks why she is listening to this song again? Ivy says she likes it. Julian wonders if it is important, was it played at their wedding? Ivy laughs and asks why she can't listen to a song she enjoys? Julian says he's known her long enough to know she never does anything without it having some hidden meaning. Ivy asks Julian just what he thinks she is hiding, he just assumes everyone is hiding something because that's how he lives his life. Julian says she always takes to the offense when she feels threatened. Ivy asks if Julian will be dining here tonight, if so she will take her tray to her room. Julian asks his wife if she has not checked her appointment book? Ivy says no, and that she can't keep her appointments straight since Theresa left. Julian says this is the night of the police fund raiser, and gets laughs when he says Chief Bennett's wife changed it from a picnic to a flea market. Ivy can't believe it is tonight, she should have known because she is the co-chair! Ivy asks when it starts? Julian says unfortunately soon, but nobody expected her to show up so she doesn't have to put an appearance in. Later, Ivy descends the staircase in a very tight black dress. Julian asks her if Bill and Hillary invited her to din-din? Ivy says she is going to the benefit with him. Julian asks if she hopes to get the mayor to banish him from Harmony? Ivy says she tried that but the mayor couldn't get the law passed. Julian says he would miss their platonic life together. He tells her that she is making a colossal mistake because she will be bored to tears, but Ivy disagrees.
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald house, Ethan tells Theresa that he falsely accused her, and he's sorry. Theresa, in a moment of excitement, grabs Ethan and plants a kiss on his cheek! Theresa says she is sorry, but Ethan asks why she kissed him? Pilar apologizes for her emotional daughter and wipes the lipstick off his chief. Ethan thinks he knows exactly why Theresa kissed him, because she got carried away. Theresa says that is right. Ethan still doesn't know how she managed to cause all those accidents, so she very rapidly explains how each one really happened. Ethan just nods his head and says "wow, you are accident prone around me!" He still doesn't understand why she is accident prone around him, but she says she doesn't know, and Whitney and Pilar don't say a word. Pilar says now that everything is settled Ethan probably has to go, and she needs to help out at the benefit. Pilar asks Theresa to follow her into the other room where she makes her promise to never throw herself at Ethan again. Theresa promises, and Pilar tells Whitney and Theresa that she will see her at the benefit. Ethan remembers why he came to find her in the first place, he can't find the report she typed for him. Theresa says she filed it in his notebook computer, but Ethan says he couldn't find it. When Ethan asks if she would mind going back to the mansion to help him pull it up, Whitney reminds Theresa that they have to go to the fund raiser. Ethan says this is really important, and Theresa says it is the least she can do for him. Whitney can't believe this, but tags a long to keep an eye on her.
Theresa, Whitney, and Ethan go back to the mansion. Ethan excuses himself to get his briefcase, and Theresa thanks Whitney for making this second chance possible. Whitney tells her to just go help Ethan find his file so they can get out of here. Theresa assures Whitney that she has learned her lesson, she knows Ethan is probably going to marry Gwen. Ethan returns with his briefcase, and his father's scrap book. He tells Whitney that he thought she might be interested in looking through it because it has all sorts of clippings and photos about tennis. Whitney says she didn't know his dad was so interested in tennis. Ethan says he was very serious about Tennis back in high school. Ethan and Theresa work with his computer, and Ethan tells Theresa that she looks so different without her disguise, she has the most beautiful eyes. Whitney realizes Theresa is going to fall for Ethan all over again. Theresa says there is nothing special about her eyes, but Ethan says they sparkle when she smiles, and she is very beautiful. Whitney butts in and suggests they find the file they came here to find. Theresa says the reason he didn't find it is because she put it in a directory entitled "EC-TLL," which is his and hear initials together. Ethan laughs and says he would never have found that. Theresa offers to print the report out, but he says he can do it after Whitney reminds her that they have to go. Ethan says its too bad she can't work here anymore, but then wonders why she can't return to her job after all. Whitney stands up and says loudly that they "REALLY" have to go. As she stands up, she drops the scrapbook, which she bends down to pick up. She's shocked to find an article about her dad's tennis career in Julian's scrapbook.
TC and Eve bring their "junk" to the Flea Market. Eve is glad to be getting rid of the junk. TC says she's probably glad Grace changed the fund raiser from a picnic to a flea market. Eve tells her husband that the flea market was Grace's idea, she wanted this event to be special because it is Sam's first year as the police chief. Miguel, Simone, and Kay show up. Miguel tells Eve that Charity is still sleeping,+ last he heard, and Eve tells Miguel that the hospital will call her as soon as Charity wakes up. Grace, who walks in on the conversation carrying a box, says she was going to go back to the hospital. When Miguel wants to go with her, Kay says it will do no good if Charity is still sleeping. Eve agrees with Kay and says the longer Charity sleeps the greater the chance she has of regaining her memory when she wakes up. Besides, Eve says she can't leave the flea market, it is her project and she can't wait to see what she brought to sell. Grace says this is Tabitha's box, and everyone makes "disgusting" faces as they pull stuff out. Eve looks through a box and finds a pink dress. Grace says it is beautiful and asks who donated it? Eve says "Who else, Ivy Crane!" Sam flashes back to his past when he picked up Ivy for a date, she was wearing the exact same dress. Grace asks Sam if anyone is home? He apologizes and claims he wasn't thinking of anything when she asks what he was thinking of? Kay looks through a box and finds some platform shoes and thinks it is another one of Tabitha's boxes. Sam says it is his box, and these shoes got him voted the coolest guy in school. Simone tells her that she should see what her dad used to wear, and pulls a pair of stripped pants out of a box. TC says this was the hippest thing in his closet back then. As Hot Stuff comes on over the radio, Sam and TC decide to embarrass their daughters, and themselves, by dancing. Grace says maybe it is better that she didn't meet him until after that phase. When Kay asks her dad if he had lots of girlfriends back then, Sam excuses himself to go fix a crooked sign. After TC and Sam leave, Eve tells Grace what a wonderful idea this flea market was because she is so glad to get rid of some of TC's stuff. Grace laughs and says "Why do you think I decided to have a flea market!" Grace looks around and Eve asks who she is looking for? Grace says she is hoping Ivy shows up, but Eve doubts that will happen. Sam becomes upset when he overhears his wife says she doesn't even known anyone who knows Ivy. TC talks with his good friend "Sammy." He says he's always stayed out of the parts of his life he doesn't like to talk about, such as Ivy Crane. Sam sighs, and TC asks him to hear him out. TC says ever since he brought Grace back to Harmony he has stayed clear of the Cranes, especially Ivy Crane. Sam asks why he is bringing this up now? TC says now that he is the Chief of Police, he can't hide from the Cranes, he will have to see them at all public functions. He says if he ever wants to talk, he's here for him. Sam says he doesn't have anything to say about the Cranes, they are out of his life for good. TC says he's never even told Eve about him and Ivy, and he guesses Grace doesn't know either. Sam tells him that there is no reason Grace should know.
Meanwhile, Miguel wants to buy some jewelry, and Kay is looking for the perfect outfit to seduce Miguel in. Kay thinks the more time Miguel spends away from Charity, the weaker their connection will become, and the easier it will be to move in on him. Simone thinks if the impossible happens, where does that leave her? She will become a third wheel. Kay says she will find her a boyfriend, but Simone doesn't know anyone she is even interested in. Kay says the operative word is yet, for all she knows her perfect guy could show up tonight! Kay goes over to the jewelry table where Miguel is to try and win him over. She finds a Victorian engagement ring and tells Miguel that any girl would die to have a ring like this. Simone butts in and breaks up their conversation. Kay says she was in the middle of talking to Miguel, but Simone says she was in the middle of making a fool of herself! Kay decides to try telepathy and tells Miguel to pick up the ring and give it to Kay. Simone tells her that she should be committed, but Kay jumps for joy when Miguel picks the ring up. Kay asks Simone to go to Miguel and persuade him to buy it. Simone says fine and comments that maybe she'll run into her prince charming. Right on cue, Chad enters the flea market.
Ivy Crane and Julian put an appearance in at the benefit, and everyone is shocked. Grace thinks Ivy is so beautiful, but Eve says if they had Ivy's money and time they could look just as sheik as she does. Grace thinks Ivy and Julian are probably nice, normal people. Julian scares his wife when he says everyone must be wondering what she donated, but tells her that Pilar sent over stuff she had marked for the hospital thrift shop. Julian tells Ivy that when she sees him tap his watch, she is to make an excuse for them to leave. Sam walks into the room and is stunned to see Ivy! Sam tells Grace that the box he just carried in was the last donation, so he sees no reason why they should stick around. Grace says they can't leave, Ivy just got here! Grace tells Sam that he knows her, from when he went to the mansion that is. Grace says she would give anything for a formal introduction to Ivy Crane. Eve tells her that she is about to get her chance. Julian and Ivy walk over to Sam, who introduces his wife to them. Grace, who is wearing some geeky spotted fur hat, shakes Ivy's hand. Ivy is delighted to meet Sam's wife, but Sam isn't delighted that his wife has met Ivy. Ivy then grabs onto Julian's arm and stroke it lovingly, which shocks the heck out of Julian. Ivy tells Grace and Eve that those hats look better on them than they did on her, they were her hats! Ivy then tells Grace how sorry she is about her sister, and asks Grace to show her around because she should know where everything is, being her co-chair. Grace is just thrilled and gives Ivy the tour, and tells her that she thinks this will be the biggest benefit ever.
Pilar shows up at the benefit and talks with Miguel about Charity for a bit. Pilar tells him that Theresa should be here soon, and she thinks Theresa will finally get over her obsession with Ethan now that she's no longer working for Mrs. Crane. Ivy and Grace show up and find Pilar working at the food table. Ivy recognizes the cake her cook made amongst the other baked goods, and asks Pilar who baked the other stuff? Pilar says Grace did, and Ivy thinks its just lovely that Grace still bakes. Sam butts into the conversation to borrow his wife because he mixed up a few boxes. They leave, and Pilar tells Mrs. Crane that she is surprised to see her hear. Ivy says she wouldn't have missed it, sometimes pick up very valuable possessions people threw away by mistake. Ivy walks off, and Pilar says "trouble is coming!"
Back in the other room, Eve runs into Julian, and they both look at one another for a bit. Julian calls her Eve, but she quickly corrects him and says "Dr Russell to you!" Eve walks off, and Julian watches her walk away from him. TC asks his wife if Julian said something to her? She says he just apologized for bumping into her. TC asks Eve to stay far away from Julian. Sam and Grace return to go through some boxes, and Kay decides to put Miguel in a romantic mood and pops a tape into a boom-box. Unfortunately, the tape is Billy Joel, and Sam is shocked to hear the song. He looks at Ivy and hears Julian tell her that they are playing her song. Grace says they are playing "their song." Miguel asks Kay for her hand, and he slides the ring on her finger.
At the flea market, Miguel puts the engagement ring on Kay's finger. Miguel asks her if she likes it? Kay says she loves it, she's so surprised. Miguel says he wouldn't have bought it if she didn't like it. Miguel tells her that he's been saving all summer for a chrome headlight for his bike, but this ring is more important. Kay hugs Miguel and tells him that he made her so happy, she'll wear this ring forever. Miguel tells Kay that she is very funny acting like it was for her, she new it was for Charity all along. Miguel says he asked her to try it on to see what it would look like. Miguel asks her if she really like it? Kay tells him that she loves it. Miguel asks if she thinks Charity would like it? Simone says that is a very serious ring. Miguel says that he wanted to give it to Charity as a friendship ring, and they can says it is from all of them. Miguel tells Kay that he respects her opinion, and Kay insists that Charity will love it. She removes the ring and gives it back to Miguel. Miguel leaves, and Kay tells Simone that this is the worst night of her entire life. Kay and Simone go outside and Kay cries how she is going to end up all alone. Simone tells her that she feels bad for her, but she set herself up for this letdown. Kay wonders what she doesn't have that Charity does. Simone tells her that she should have known Miguel wouldn't buy a ring for anyone but Kay, and she tells her that she better get over Miguel because she could end up a bridesmaid at their wedding. Kay tells Simone that she just doesn't understand because she's not in love. Kay tells Simone that tonight was just a minor setback, she is not giving up. Kay says even if Charity wakes up and remembers Miguel, the subliminal messages will cause her to fear him. Simone she is just headed for heartbreak. Kay tells her that when she falls in love she will know the power of love, it will make you hurt your own friends and even family. Simone doubts she will ever betray her family for a boy.
Chad enters the flea market, but doubts anyone here means anything to him. Chad becomes hungry and notices some sandwiches on the table, and decides to take one. Unfortunately, Miguel shows up and tells him that he won't be sorry if he buys one of those, his mom made them. Chad puts the sandwich back and says maybe later. Miguel questions Chad about where he's from? Chad says he's from LA. Chad asks if he knows where he could find a cheap jacket. Miguel points out where the jackets are, and then decides to buy Chad some sandwiches. Chad doesn't want handouts and says he'll pay him back. Chad scarfs down the sandwiches and tells Miguel that his mom sure makes a good sandwich. Miguel asks "don't all moms?" Chad doesn't know, he says his mom used to give them nothing but scraps or fast food. After Chad eat, Miguel has to leave to give his ring to a girl he likes. Chad wishes Miguel luck and thanks him for the sandwiches.
Simone and Kay go back into the flea market, but Miguel is gone. Simone says they should just leave because there is nobody around here for either of them. Suddenly, Simone sees Chad Harris and falls in love with him at first site.
Grace tells Sam that this song, "Just the Way You Are," happens to be Ivy's favorite to. Ivy says she find it hard to believe that Sam still listens to this old love song. Sam says he hardly listens to it anymore, but Grace says he used to when they first met. Ivy says the past is a funny thing, just when you think it is buried its dug back up. Ivy says men tend to leave the past in the past, and asks Grace if she agrees? Grace says Sam remembers everything. Ivy and Grace decide to finish their tour, and the mayor and drags Julian off to meet some man. Eve tells TC and Sam that she is upset with the damn Cranes, she can't believe Ivy is pretending to be on a first name basis with them. As Ivy and Grace laugh about something, Sam worries. Sam and TC take off, and when Julian approaches Eve, she tells him not to come near her. Ivy and Grace look at the merchandise, Ivy says Pilar's piece is by far the best on the table, but then she apologizes to Grace when she realizes she made an Afghan on the table. Grace tells Ivy that she could make her one if she wants one? Ivy says she would love one. Grace excuses herself to help someone, and Ivy tells Pilar that she can't believe Grace would think she'd want something so tasteless in her house! Pilar tells her that Grace's afghans sell very well in her shop, and she can't imagine anyone would say anything bad about Grace. Ivy thanks Pilar for the tip. Pilar tells Ivy that the people her really don't expect her to stay here, and Julian pops up out of nowhere and suggests they leave this tacky event. Ivy says she will leave when she is damn ready! Ivy walks over to Grace and asks her how long it will take for her to make one of those lovely afghans? Julian wonders what his wife is up to, and Pilar tells him "you don't want to know!" TC talks to Sam about Ivy, but Sam tells him to drop it. He says that Ivy is just playing a game with him, and it's no big deal. Sam leaves, and when Ivy sees him leave, she excuses herself from Grace to make a call. However, Ivy follows Sam. Grace tells Eve that Ivy is so down to earth, she even likes arts and crafts! Eve doubts that and thinks that after tonight, the Cranes won't want anything to do with them.
Ivy surprises Sam in the store room. Ivy tells him that she enjoyed meeting his wife, she knew he'd marry someone special. Sam tells Ivy that he knows what type of game she is playing. Sam tells her that Grace is a wonderful woman and never has a hidden agenda. Ivy says she didn't think she did either. Sam warns her not to play games and says he'll see her again at the event next year. Sam walks out of the room, leaving Ivy upset and angry. Ivy leaves the store room, and Julian tells her that he wants to leave now. Ivy says she's laid the groundwork for Ethan to establish himself with the locals, so they can go. Ivy tells Grace and Eve that she and Julian have to go, but she'd love for all of them to come to dinner tomorrow night. Eve, TC, and Sam says "We can't!" However, Grace says "we'd love to!"
Ivy and Julian return home, and Julian wants to know what tonight was about? Ivy tells him to forget it, she has a migraine. Still, Julian continues hounding his wife about her interest in the locals and Grace's Afghans? Ivy says she thought they were artistic and showed talent. Julian asks Ivy what she is up to? Ivy says she's up to here, using her hand to mark where here is, with his rantings. Julian says he's learned over the years that everything she does has a purpose and he wants to know what this dinner is really about. Ivy claims she wants the locals to like the Cranes because Ethan will be head of this family one day. Julian doesn't buy her excuse and wants to know what she really wants to get out of this dinner. When Ivy won't respond, Julian tells her to call of the dinner because he's not in the mood. Ivy tells him to get over it, they will have this dinner! Julian tells her fine, but says she owes him. Ivy tells him that she paid her debt to him and his father years ago! Julian retires to his study, and Pilar shows up to see Ivy. Pilar tells Ivy that she can't go through with this dinner, she is asking for trouble. Pilar begs her to let the past rest, but Ivy says she hasn't spoken to Sam in over twenty years and thinks it is time to wake up the past. Pilar says doing that will bring nothing but trouble, but Ivy says she doesn't care. Ivy tells Pilar that she feels alive for the first time in twenty years. Pilar says she is just worried about how this will affect her and others. Ivy tells Pilar good night, and Pilar leaves. Ivy goes up to bed, and Julian returns to poor himself a drink. He sits down and finds his scrap book on the table opened to the picture of TC Russell, and it seems to bother him.
At Tabitha's place, Timmy and Tabitha are still celebrating Charity's amnesia. Timmy asks if they can stay in Harmony? Tabitha says of course they can. Timmy offers her a MarTimmy, and Tabitha says she'd love one. Timmy makes some MarTimmy's for both of them. Tabitha tells Timmy that as long as Charity has amnesia, she won't remember her evil fighting powers. Tabitha thinks she is safe at last, and Timmy says he is safe if Tabby is safe. Tabitha ends up choking on her MarTimmy when Timmy asks "What happens if Charity wakes up and remembers everything?" Timmy asks if she is all right? Tabitha says no, and it is his fault, she doesn't like his questions. Timmy starts thinking up horrible scenarios of Charity waking up and destroying them. Tabitha tells Timmy to be quiet because she has to think what to do. Tabitha ends up taping Timmy's mouth shut while she paces around trying to think what to do. Timmy wrips the tape off and asks her what she's going to do now that her powers are gone? Tabitha tells Timmy that they are going to have to pack up and leave town after all. Timmy wants to leave right away because he's afraid of Charity just as much as she is. Tabitha can't believe she was about to let Charity run her out of town. Tabitha says she is going to stay and fight! Timmy wants to help Tabby, who is going to the hospital, but Tabitha tells him no way. Tabitha tells him to just stay here. Tabitha leaves, and Timmy sneaks out because he's tired of Tabitha having all the fun. Tabitha rides her bike to the hospital, and Timmy chases after her to the theme from Chariots of Fire.
Jessica, who is at the hospital, calls Miguel at the flea market to tell him that Charity may be waking up. A nurse comes in, so Jessica tells Miguel to hang on until she can see what the nurse says. However, the nurse doesn't tell Jessica anything. Meanwhile at the flea market, Kay tells Simone that she found Miguel, but Simone is busy looking at Chad, the "tastiest thing she has ever seen in her life." Chad ends up running into Pilar, literally, and apologizes. Pilar recognizes him as the young man who was talking to her son earlier. Chad says he is just passing through town, and tells her that her sandwiches were great. Simone smacks Kay and tells her to tell her what she thinks about Chad. Kay says he has a nice bod and if it weren't for Miguel she;d put the moves on him. Simone pushes Kay and says "Hey!," and Kay pushes her back. Chad sees this and Simone tells Kay that she made her look like a fool in front of him. Kay spies on Miguel as he talks to Jessica on the phone. Jessica tells Miguel that Charity is trying to say something, so Miguel thinks he should come over to the hospital. Jessica tells Miguel that she has to go get a soda, and Miguel thanks her for staying with Charity. Kay eventually notices Miguel has left, so she asks Simone to help her look for him. Simone says no, for once she should help her get Chad as her boyfriend. Miguel shows up and tells Kay that he's heading over to the hospital, but she says "No, don't go there!" Miguel asks why not? Kay says that the hospital is on the other side of town, why go there if Charity doesn't wake up? Miguel tells Kay that he has to be there, just in case Charity does wake up. Miguel leaves, and Kay wishes Charity would sleep forever. Simone tells her that she is a horrible person! Kay says Simone is right, if Charity doesn't wake up, Miguel won't stop mooning over her. Kay decides to go to the hospital and tells Simone to handle her guy on her own. Kay leaves, and Simone tries to think of a line to greet Chad with. However, Chad approaches her and asks her if she works here? Simone is at a loss for words. Chad tells her that he is from LA and is looking for a jacket. Simone says she'd love to go to LA, but he tells her there are things there other than movie stars that her pretty little eyes couldn't handle. Chad thinks she has something better to do than help him find a jacket, but Simone says she'd be glad to help him.
Back at the hospital, Tabitha arrives and decides to bring a book to Charity. The nurse says the cart she is pulling isn't the book cart. Tabitha says "So it isn't, I must remember to bring my glasses the next time!" After the nurse leaves, Tabitha swipes some flowers and tries to sneak into Charity's room. Timmy creeps into the hospital as the music from Mission Impossible plays. Tabitha looks into Charity's room and sees Grace's brat in with her. When Jessica leaves the room, Tabitha tells her she came to pay Charity a visit. Tabitha pumps Jessica for information and learns that Charity could wake up at any moment. Meanwhile, Kay arrives and finds Miguel, and also happens to bonk poor Timmy in the face with the door. Miguel has brought Charity flowers and tells Kay that he hopes Charity remembers him when she wakes up. Kay tells Miguel that whatever happens, she'll be there for him. Tabitha talks with Kay and Miguel about Charity. Tabitha excuses herself to get some tea, and tries to think of a way to get Charity alone. Elsewhere, Timmy disguises himself in surgical scrubs and even pages Dr. Timmy with his stethoscope.
Miguel, Kay, and Miguel go into see Charity, but Jessica ends up dragging Charity out of the room. Jessica accuses Kay of being happy Charity hasn't woken up. Kay that is not true, but Jessica doesn't believe her. Jessica promises Kay she will find out the truth about that tape and will tell Miguel. As they argue, Miguel yells at them to come back in because Charity is waking up. As she wakes up, Charity calls out Miguel's name. Charity wakes up and sees Miguel. When Miguel says his name, Charity screams her head off!
