Gwen is worried about her father, but Rebecca tells her that there is nothing she can do for her father right now and she'd be better off worrying about Theresa and Ethan. Gwen says she has no reason to be suspicious of Theresa and she trusts Ethan completely, it is not as if they are off alone somewhere declaring their love for each other! Later, Rebecca and Gwen learn that Mr. Hotchkiss didn't have a heart attack, just a bad case of indigestion. Once again, Rebecca urges Gwen to start worrying about Theresa, because with the power Ethan wields, she can never trust him! Rebecca advises Gwen look at Ethan as an investment, one she needs to protect. Gwen tells her mother that if Theresa or anyone else was trying to take Ethan from her, she wouldn't have to warn her because she would destroy them. Rebecca is thrilled to see that Gwen is finally prepared to fight for her man. Gwen tells her mommy dearest not to worry, is any girl goes after Theresa, she will rip the little slut limb from limb!
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald's house, Ethan and Theresa break away from the passionate kiss they have just shared. Theresa thinks Ethan has told Gwen that he has chosen her, and she throws her arms around Ethan. However, when he doesn't hug her back, she realizes something is wrong. Ethan tells Theresa that he has made a mistake, he should have walked off when she told him to. Theresa asks Ethan what he is saying, that he doesn't love her? Ethan says he does love her, but he should have waited to talk to her and Gwen together. Theresa is glad he didn't wait and is glad she is the one. Ethan says he didn't say she was the one, and he wanted to wait until the three of them were together so they could talk it all out. Theresa is confused and doesn't understand what is going on. Ethan tells Theresa that he loves her, but he loves Gwen too. Ethan thinks they should take a walk to the wharf, there he will tell her what the future holds.
Ethan and Theresa take a walk, and he explains how being with this past year caused him to have feelings for her, which caused him to kiss her that night on the wharf. He says that when he thought he was going to loose her he realized that he did love her. However, Ethan says he still can't hurt Gwen. Theresa asks Ethan if he's saying he's still going to marry Gwen? Ethan says that his wedding to Gwen is in a week, invitations have been sent, gifts have been accepted, and there are business deals depending on the wedding. Ethan feels that the whole world is depending on this wedding. Theresa says she gets it, he's going to marry Gwen. Ethan says no he's not going to marry Gwen, how could he when he has discovered that he loves her. Ethan assures Theresa that the wedding is off. Theresa says "Oh Ethan!" and leaps into his arms. They continue their walk, and Theresa realizes that Ethan is worried about calling off the wedding. She says she will help him talk to Gwen, she's sure that she'll understand. They once again hug.
Eve goes to church and confesses to Father Lonagin about her lie concerning Sheridan's past. Eve says that she lied to cover up a horrible truth in order to save a chance for happiness for a couple. Eve explains the entire story to Father Lonagin about how Sheridan killed Luis' father, and how she lied about the truth to protect Sheridan's possibility for happiness. Father Lonagin asks if the reason she didn't tell them the truth is because of true love, or because she identifies with Sheridan? Does she feel that by protecting Sheridan she is protecting herself? Eve cries that if her own past is found out she may lose her husband and family. Father Lonagin comforts Eve, and suddenly an angry TC shows up and demands to know what is going on in here! TC grabs Father Lonagin from behind, but quickly apologizes when he realizes who it is. He says he didn't realize it was him and he thought someone was hurting his wife. TC asks Eve why she is crying? Eve says she just came for some advice on a patient. Eve asks why he is here? TC says he was dropping some things off at the youth center and saw her car here. TC says he has a few more things to take care of and he'll see her back at home. After TC leaves, Eve tells Father Lonagin that if TC learned out about his past, he'd go mad and she'd never be able to hold her marriage together. Father Lonagin warns Eve that secrets have a way of being revealed, but he will pray that Sheridan's secrets don't come out.
At the cottage, Luis makes Sheridan some tea. Sheridan is relieved that she didn't kill Luis' father. Luis is still kind of ticked off at Eve for letting them believe she did kill his father, but Sheridan says that Eve did that to allow her to purge herself of the guilt she had been carrying around. Luis suggests they take a walk, so they do. Luis tells Sheridan that it took a lot of courage to do what she did tonight. Luis tells Sheridan there is one more truth he wants her to know, the truth about how he feels about her. Luis tells her that he admires her more than any woman he's ever known. Sheridan asks what she's done to earn his admiration? Luis says there are so many things, so Sheridan asks him to name two. Luis says she's very intelligent, she's intuitive, she's incredibly poised. He also says she's allowed herself to change, when they first met she . . . Sheridan says she had an attitude. Luis says he knows now that it was her nightmares who made her that person, who kept her from opening up to people. Sheridan says she just didn't feel worthy of being loved, and when a wonderful man comes along, she does everything she can to run him off. Luis says "So that's why . . . . " Sheridan asks "So that's why what?" Luis says "So that's why you didn't have a relationship." Sheridan says yes, but now she is free to have a meaningful relationship, if she wants. Luis sees a plant holder that his father built, and then he shows Sheridan the initials he carved in the gazebo after his father built it. Sheridan suddenly realizes she is being selfish, she has forgotten that he still has no answers about his father's disappearance. Luis says he has realized that his father didn't abandon his family, something else happened to him, he must have been killed. Luis vows to find out who killed his father, make them pay, and hate them for the rest of their life. Sheridan thanks goodness that person isn't her.
At the Bennett's, Kay and Miguel swat the snakes with pillows. Meanwhile, Reese says that those snakes are Black Mambas and are very deadly, Kay and Miguel could be dead within minutes! He wonders how they even got to Harmony in the first place. Evil Charity tells Tabitha that the snakes came from the bowls of hell, and then she laughs. Timmy fears that Evil Charity will turn on the two of them after Miguel and Kay are disposed of. Reese uses his palm pilot to try and find a way to help Miguel, but Evil Charity tells Tabitha that there is no way they can help Miguel and Kay, their numbers are up! Charity shoots a funny laserbeam from her finger into the shed and levitates one of the snakes until it falls behind Miguel and Kay. Miguel realizes he might die, so he professes his love to Charity. Evil Charity tells Miguel that she loves him to, but he mustn't give up. Miguel swears he'll never give up, but if something does happen, she is and always will be the love of his life. Evil Charity zaps the snake again, and it begins to strike at Miguel and Kay. Miguel manages to knock the snake away from their feet, which angers Evil Charity. Miguel tells Charity that he loves her, and Charity's evil soul begins to melt as she cries. Miguel tells her that they are one person and they always will be. Charity';s pendant begins to flash, and the demons begin to loose their grip on Charity. She hears both the angel and the demons battling for control of her should. Timmy hopes the good Charity wins. Unfortunately, Miguel is too busy keeping the snakes at bay to focus on his love for Charity, which allows the pendant to take back over Charity. Evil Charity says it is time to move to plan B, they have to set the shed on fire and burn Miguel and Kay alive! Timmy exclaims that he hates fire, it causes him to melt. Evil Charity doesn't want to hear his complaints and tells them to torch the shed! Tabitha returns and tells Evil Charity that they were unable to find any matches. Evil Charity tells Tabitha to find some flint or rub some sticks together because that shed better be a ball of fire in two minutes! Meanwhile, Miguel grabs a fire extinguisher and blasts the snakes, and he and Kay escape. Evil Charity blames this on Tabitha and Timmy. Elsewhere, Kay tells Miguel that he is a hero and goes to kiss him, but Miguel pulls away from Kay and goes looking for Charity. Evil Charity calms down and plays nice for Miguel. Miguel notices that Charity's pendant is warm and finds it odd. Miguel takes the pendant off, and Charity turns sweet once again. Timmy is glad to see his Charity is back, and Tabitha wonders how they can make sure she stays this way because Evil Charity will blame them for not killing Miguel tonight. Meanwhile, CHarity has once again lost a huge block of time. Tabitha tells Timmy that is why they must keep Charity from wearing the pendant, but they still have to kill Miguel. Elsewhere, Kay tells Simone that she has a feeling that Charity is behind the snakes. However, Reese has discovered that all the snakes are gone, and only a bunch of sticks remain behind.
At the mansion, Julian is in a pair of kinky handcuffs and says that his Crepe Suzanne. should teach Luis how to properly handcuff people. Alistair calls Julian up and asks if he's come up with any thoughts on how to separate Luis and Sheridan? Julian says he's thought about it and has concluded that they should leave Luis and Sheridan alone. He thinks the threat to their family is no more now that SHeridan thinks she didn't kill Martin. Alistair calls him a fool, so Julian says he can put all his energy into keeping them apart, but then the merger contracts concerning Ethan and Gwen's wedding would just have to wait. Alistair doesn't appreciate Julian's tone, but he does appreciate his point. Alistair says the wedding should be their focus, and the wedding must occur. Julian says that the wedding will go off as planned, but Alistair says he's heard rumblings that there is trouble with that relationship. Ivy shows up and says she got word that Alistair wanted to speak with her. She is disappointed that he isn't actually here, but he says he'll be at the wedding. Alistair says there are some things going on in the family he doesn't like, so when he returns he's going to shake things up. He then asks why Rebecca Hotchkiss seems to think Theresa is trying to get her claws into Ethan? Ivy says it is nothing, Ethan loves Gwen and he will marry her, she will make sure of that. AListair is happy to hear that, but wonders why Rebecca would think Ethan is pursuing Theresa. Ivy says that is Julian's doing, he has been encouraging Ethan to bed Theresa for some time now. AListair is furious, and Julian thanks Ivy. Alistair asks Julian what he was thinking? Julian says he was merely having a a heart to heart talk with the boy. Alistair just hopes nobody overheard him, but Ivy says both she and Gwen overheard Julian telling Ethan to "get it on" with Theresa before he married Gwen. AListair tells Julian that if anything happens to derail this wedding he cut him off completely! he will be living in a cardboard box and swigging cheap beer with hookers! Alistair asks Julian what is wrong with him, did one of the nannies drop him on his head? Ivy assures Alistair that there is no need to worry, she has had a long talk with Ethan and he has assured her that he loves Gwen. Alistair says he's glad at least one of Ethan's parents understands the importance of this marriage. He tells "Ivy dear" goodbye, and just yells "Julian!" and then hangs up. Julian calls Ivy a witch for playing tattletale with father. Ivy says she loves watching him squirm, but Julian says this is all her fault for hiring Theresa and tempting Ethan. Ivy says if Ethan was tempted he sure didn't act on it! Julian thinks Ethan is just like his father and will do what is right. Later, Julian proposes a toast to Ethan and Gwen's wedding, may it be as beautiful as it is profitable. Ivy says no one will get in the way of Ethan's marriage to Gwen, she wants it as much as he and Alistair do, but only for Ethan's sake.
On the docks, Theresa hopes Gwen will understand that Ethan is calling off the wedding, but Ethan says she's going to be heartbroken. Theresa says that at least everyone in her family will be happy for them. However, Ethan points out that Luis is not going to be happy to learn that he's in love with his sister. Ethan offers to talk to Luis, but Theresa says she will be the one to tell Luis. Ethan asks her to do it soon, he wants them to be up front and honest with everyone that they are in love. Ethan decides to tell his aunt Sheridan first, and he knows she'll be supportive. Theresa realizes that Sheridan is the key to Luis understanding their love. Ethan says that Sheridan and Luis could have had a relationship once upon a time, but now she's wishing for something that will never happen. Theresa says that is what everyone told her when she wished for him. Ethan tells Theresa that she's had a rough night and should get some rest, but there is one more thing he has to tell her. Ethan kisses Theresa once again and says he'll talk to her later. Ethan leaves, and Theresa says she is the happiest girl in the world.
Luis tells Sheridan that he still believes Alistair and Julian killed his father, and that all Crane men are evil to the core! Sheridan tells Luis that Ethan isn't like Alistair and Julian, he is a good man. Luis says he knows she and Ethan are close, and maybe he started out as a good kid, but money and power have corrupted him. Luis says he's seen the way Ethan throws his weight around. Luis then recalls how Theresa thought Ethan was the man of her dreams, and that it is a good thing he put a stop to that! Luis says there is no way he'd let Ethan and Theresa hook up and fall in love, no way! Sheridan understands how he feels, and that if Julian and Alistair are involved with his father's disappearance then she will hate them to. Luis says he has to go home and get some fresh clothes, but he'll be back soon. Luis says this was nice, and maybe when they get together again they can do it without fighting.
Ethan returns to the mansion and talks with Sheridan. Sheridan says that she now knows what happened that night was only a nightmare. She explains to Ethan what Eve told her and that she is finally able to get on with her life. Ethan is happy for Sheridan and the two hug. Ethan wonders if this will change things between them. Sheridan says she doesn't know, but she is the only Crane he doesn't hate. Ethan says he was talking about that with Theresa tonight. Sheridan is shocked to learn that Ethan has been with Theresa. Ethan tells his aunt that is why he came to talk to her, it seems the Lopez- Fitzgeralds are going to become a big part of both of their lives. Sheridan says she and Luis are far from having a relationship. Ethan says that Theresa told him if the two of them became a couple it would be easier to tell Luis about him and Theresa. Sheridan does a double take and then realizes something has happened. Ethan tells SHeridan that he realized tonight that he loves Theresa. Sheridan asks "What about Gwen?" Ethan says he's calling it off. Sheridan asks Ethan if he loves Theresa enough to change his entire life? Ethan says yes, there is no doubt in his mind that he loves Theresa and wants to be with her. Ethan thinks that Theresa is probably telling Luis the truth right now, and he wonders how he'll take the news.
Back at the Lopez-Fitzgerald home, Theresa prays to God to please help Sheridan and Luis to work things out because then Luis can't be mad at her for being with Ethan. Luis shows up and is whistling. Theresa asks what has him in such a good mood? Luis says he just had a nice walk with Sheridan Crane. Theresa whispers "Thank you God!" Luis sees Theresa's bandage and asks what happened? Theresa tells Luis not to get mad, and she tells him about her motorcycle accident. Luis is going to kill Miguel, but Theresa says she took the bike without telling him. Luis says this is getting even better, and he can't believe she wasn't wearing a helmet. She asks him not to be mad, and then tells him to tell her about Sheridan. Luis says she's not like the other Cranes, and he really likes her. Theresa smiles, and Luis asks her what is with the Cheshire cat grin? He tells Theresa that he's not getting married to her, he just likes her and likes spending time with her. When he sees Theresa smiling again, he tells her not to start in with that love conquers all nonsense. Theresa says that it isn't nonsense, and now that he's admitted to liking Sheridan, she can admit something to him. Luis asks her what she wants to say? Theresa tells Luis that the most wonderful thing happened to her tonight and she wants to tell him all about it. Theresa tells Luis that she finally got her wish, fate smiled down upon her and granted her heart's desire. Luis asks Theresa "What is it?"
Gwen and Rebecca arrive home (yes we finally see the Hotckiss home) and check their messages. Ethan has called to check in on Gwen again. Gwen tells her mom that is the fifth time Ethan has called to check on her and daddy, he is not in love with Theresa, he is totally devoted to her. Gwen shows her mom what she has bought Ethan for their wedding, a watch which has their birthdays inscribed on it as well as "Born to be Together." Rebecca loves the choice, it is tasteful yet romantic, and it reminds him that she is his destiny and not that half- breed social climber. Gwen tells her mother that she doesn't want to hear anymore of her theories, the wedding is a week away and Ethan would never back out now. She begs her mother not to ruin her wedding. Rebecca says she's trying to save it. Gwen says there is nothing to save, and if Ethan was going to leave her, does she honestly think it would be for the housekeeper's daughter? Rebecca says she knows firsthand that even the most devoted fiance can change his mind. Gwen says she knows, her father was engaged to marry someone else until she came along and stole him. Rebecca says that she was able to make her father fall for him and leave the girl he was supposed to marry. She says it does happen, she just doesn't want it to happen to her. Gwen asks what makes her think her relationship with Ethan is the same as Daddy's and this other woman? Rebecca tells Gwen that she did what Theresa is trying to do! Gwen says that if Ethan did have feelings for Theresa then he would have told her by now, and she knows Ethan loves her and not Theresa! Rebecca tells Gwen to just be careful.
At the cottage, Sheridan is in shock to learn that Ethan is calling off his wedding to Gwen because he loves Theresa. Ethan says Theresa is probably telling Luis right now. Sheridan says they will probably hear Luis explode from here, World War 3 is about to begin! Ethan is also worried about Gwen, she's going to be devastated to hear this. Ethan says there is no way around it, someone is going to be hurt. Ethan goes on to say that he and Gwen are a good team, a good match, she is wonderful, but Theresa came out of no where. Ethan says he and Theresa have such fun together, she makes him laugh, and she makes him see a part of himself that he never saw when he was with Gwen. Sheridan realizes that he loves them both. Ethan says that being in love with two woman isn't like him. Sheridan says they can't control what goes on in their hearts. She tells him that the wedding is only a week away, and if he's serious about calling off this wedding, there is no way he can't hurt Gwen. Ethan wonders how he's going to tell Gwen that the wedding is off? He says he just can't marry Gwen keeping this secret, but calling it off will hurt her just as much as if she found out the truth later on. Sheridan once again asks Ethan if he's sure about calling off this wedding? She says that not only will Gwen be hurt, but so will both sets of parents and Alistair. Ethan says this is his life and his choice, the families will just have to accept it. Sheridan advises Ethan to be sure that he loves Theresa, as opposed to lusts after her, before he calls off his wedding. Ethan says the truth is that he did start caring about Theresa, but he went into denial and told her that he didn't love her and never would. Ethan says that is when Theresa took off on Miguel's bike and had an accident, and when he got to the hospital he was told she had died, but in fact she wasn't. Ethan says that is when he realized he loved Theresa, and that is why he can't go through with the wedding. Sheridan reminds him that Luis isn't going to take this well, but Ethan doesn't care. He says that his main concern needs to be telling Gwen, then he will stand up to Luis and defend what he feels for Theresa. Still, Sheridan fears that once Luis learns the truth he will probably go crazy. Ethan says he's going to use Luis' feelings for her to make him understand. Sheridan asks how that helps him? Ethan says if Luis cares about her, then he has to admit all Cranes aren't evil, rotten, people. Suddenly, Gwen calls Ethan up! Ethan asks her how her father is doing? As they talk, Sheridan tells herself that she doesn't envy Ethan for having to call off the wedding or deal with Luis.
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald's, Theresa prepares to tell Luis about her love for Ethan. Pilar shows up, and when she hears Theresa about to tell Luis about Ethan, she drops a vase and interrupts them. Theresa and Luis run to Pilar, and Luis thinks Theresa has upset their mother by talking about Sheridan and him. Luis tells his mom that he and Sheridan have grown closer. He tells his mother, and Theresa, about Sheridan's hypnosis session tonight and Sheridan's nightmares. Sheridan says he sees Sheridan in a whole new light now. Theresa thinks that is great, and she wants to tell him her news now. Luis realizes it is late and he has to get back to Sheridan, so he tells her that it will just have to wait. Luis leaves, and Pilar tells Theresa that she knows what she is trying to do. Theresa thinks Luis will be happy for her now that he and Sheridan are in love, but Pilar says he will be furious and she shouldn't do this. Pilar says it doesn't matter that Ethan loves her, he's going to marry Gwen. Theresa tells her mom that she doesn't understand, Ethan is going to call off the wedding. Pilar tells Theresa that the Cranes will be furious and she fears for her, for all of them! She fears that the Cranes are going to come after them, but Theresa says she is worried about nothing, everything will be wonderful. Pilar tells Theresa that she knows nothing! Luis returns with his clothes packed. He wants to hear Theresa's news, she's in the kitchen making him a snack, and Pilar tries to get Luis to leave now because he doesn't want to be late. However, Luis wants to hear his sister's news. Luis tells his mom that she did a wonderful job raising Theresa, and that for awhile he was worried about her crazy fantasy about marrying Ethan Crane. He says those are over with now that they know Ethan is marrying Gwen, and he hopes that he and Sheridan can have some fun at the wedding. Pilar hopes now that he knows the truth about that night he will stop investigating his father's disappearance. Luis tells his mom that all he knows is that Sheridan didn't kill pappa, but he still believes Alistair and Julian did, and he won't stop looking until he has the proof and can make them pay! Luis says he hates the Cranes and nothing anyone says will make change the way he feels. Pilar reminds him that Sheridan is a Crane, but Luis says she's not a Crane man. He also says he's glad no one else in their family has ties to them, he couldn't stand it if they did. Meanwhile, as Theresa makes Luis a snack, she daydreams what life will be like for her in the future. She sees herself serving dinner to Luis and Ethan. Luis asks Ethan if he wants to shoot some hoops after supper, and Ethan says sure and jokes that this time maybe he'll let him win. Luis tells Ethan that he's so glad Theresa married him. Out in the living room, Pilar leaves Luis to warn Theresa not to tell Luis about Ethan, but Theresa is gone! Luis ran outside to get Luis' favorite ice cream, chocolate mint, but Luis catches her and asks her not to overdue it after her accident. Luis asks Theresa to tell him what has her walking on air? Theresa says she is in love, and this guy is in love with her to. Luis asks who this guy is?
As Whitney and Chad are about to tell one another how they feel, Kay walks in and spoils everything. Kay suggests to Simone that she goes and makes herself and Chad some sandwiches to surprise him. As she is doing that, Kay tells Chad once again that he can't tell Simone that he doesn't love her because of her eating disorder. She shows him what Simone is up to, claiming she is about to stuff face, so he goes into the kitchen to stop her. She offers him a sandwich, and after he eats it he tells her it was the best sandwich he's ever eaten. While Chad is with Simone, Kay then lies to Whitney, telling her that the girl who works at the Book Cafe is pregnant and Chad is the father, even though he claims he isn't. Whitney is shocked and is very cold to Chad when he wants to pick up their conversation where they left off. Whitney says she has nothing to say to him and doesn't care what he has to say to her.
Alistair calls Julian to berate him some more about his stupidity and almost ruining the wedding. Julian tells his father not to worry, he's taken care of things by sending Rebecca and Gwen mother's pearls and diamond brooch as a wedding present. Alistair says those are family heirlooms! Julian says yes, what better way to assure Rebecca that this wedding will take place. Alistair is pleased, but says it will be impossible to tear them away from Rebecca if the wedding is called off for some reason.
Gwen calls Ethan up and puts him on the spot by placing him on speakerphone and asking him to tell her mother that there is nothing to worry about and they will get married. Before Ethan can say anything, there is a knock at the door. The Hotckiss maid brings Gwen a package, and she tells Ethan that they just got another wedding gift, and it is from his father. Gwen opens the package and she and Rebecca go gaga over the jewels. Rebecca is convinced that perhaps she was being silly about this whole Theresa thing after all.
At the cottage, Ethan and Sheridan continue their talk. Sheridan makes up the couch for Luis and tells Ethan that perhaps he should leave before Luis shows up. However, Ethan says he's not afraid of Luis. Ethan then reminds Sheridan that it wasn't too long ago that Luis broke her heart on the pier. SHeridan says she and Luis had grown so close lately that she had forgotten all about that. She says perhaps she and Luis haven't come as far as she had thought. Still, Sheridan says there is something about Luis . . . .
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald's, Theresa describes the guy she is in love with as sweet, caring, devoted, and wealthy. Luis is reminded of Ethan Crane and starts saying how much he hates Ethan and the other Cranes. Theresa becomes angry, but before she can tell Luis that Ethan is the man she loves, Pilar and Miguel stop her. Luis continues to rant and rave about the Cranes, so Theresa reminds him that Sheridan is a Crane and she hurt him awhile back. Luis says he had forgotten about that and thinks maybe he and Sheridan haven't come as far as he thought. He doubts he'll ever learn why Sheridan slapped him, and thinks that perhaps he and Sheridan don't have a future together. Theresa feels bad about what she's said and tries to convince him that she was wrong about Sheridan, but Luis tells her she was right. However, Luis tells Theresa that just because the guy she loves has money doesn't mean he's a creep like Ethan. Theresa decides not to tell Luis the identity of her love right now, and later Miguel offers to tell Luis the truth for Ethan. Theresa thanks him, but says this is something that she must do. She says one way or another, Luis and everyone else will know the truth tomorrow!
Chad tells Eve that now that he's feeling all right he thinks it is time he gets back to his own place, though he doesn't know how he can repay her. Eve says he already has by saving Whitney's life. Eve tells Chad that they are all very grateful, including Whitney. Chad doesn't know about that. Eve asks him if something has happened between them? Chad assures Eve that nothing is going on between him and either of her daughters. Eve tells Chad that she's gotten to know him very well these past few months and she no longer thinks he's the bad influence she once thought he was. Chad tells her not to sweat it, she just wants the best for her daughters. Chad says one day when he's a wealthy record producer and has daughters, he will be the same way. Chad tells Eve that she and Coach Russell are da bomb when it comes to parents. Simone shows up and asks what smells so wonderful? Eve says she's making blueberry pancakes for Chad's farewell. Simone is upset to learn that Chad is leaving.
TC and Whitney walk in their house and find Simone upset that Chad is leaving. Chad says he has a lot of things to do and he misses his place. Simone is a little ticked off to learn that Whitney has known Chad is leaving. Whitney tells Chad that she hopes he is leaving to do the right thing. Chad has no idea what Whitney is talking about. Kay shows up, and tells Chad that WHitney probably means he should be getting back to his music. Chad leaves to get his stuff, and Simone asks Kay if she is positive that Chad is the father of Tifanny's baby? Kay says he is, and after Chad never called her after the miscarriage, she left town. Meanwhile, Simone tries to convince her parents that Chad still isn't well enough to go. TC asks why she is so eager for him to stay? Simone says that Chad is her friend and he doesn't have anyone else in the world but her. Chad gets ready to leave, and he tells Simone that she is a special girl. Kay tries to convince Simone that things will be better with Chad back home because then she can go over to see him without her family being around. Simone and Kay decide to walk Chad home. After they leave, Whitney finds a gift Chad left for her parents, some Jazz CDs. Eve thinks that was sweet of him and that she feels terrible that he has to go back to his old place with no family. Whitney tells her mom that Chad is from the street and he can't be trusted. Eve says maybe she was wrong. TC thinks Whitney is being hard on Chad and asks if he said something to her? Whitney says that she and Chad are nothing a like, she has values, he doesn't, she works hard and he doesn't. Whitney says she is glad he is out of their lives.
Chad, Simone, and Kay arrive at Chad's building, and Chad finds his stuff on the street. He realizes he's been evicted. Kay finds a notice which says that the building has been declared unsafe and therefore condemned. Chad wonders where he's going to go now? Simone tells him that he can come back home with her.
Theresa dreams of marrying Ethan, but Luis and Gwen show up and object to the wedding. Gwen calls Theresa gold digging bitch and starts to attack her as Luis attacks Ethan. Pilar wakes her daughter up, and Theresa has finally realized that Ethan's family is worth fearing. Theresa checks the paper for the wedding cancellation notice, but she doesn't find it. Pilar tells Theresa to pray that Ethan doesn't cancel that wedding because the Cranes will destroy them. Pilar says Ethan loves Gwen and won't hurt her, and this wedding is a family obligation. There is a knock at the door, and Theresa is thrilled to see that it is Ethan. Ethan and Theresa share a kiss as Pilar watches. Ethan tells Theresa that he was worried about her, and asks how Luis reacted? Theresa says she never told him that he was the man she loves. Theresa says that Luis needs more time to get used to the idea, and he will be happy for them. Pilar asks Theresa to go get dressed so she can talk with Ethan. Theresa tells Ethan not to worry, Mama thinks he's great. Theresa runs off, and Pilar tells Ethan that they both know how his family will react to this. Ethan says he doesn't care, he loves Theresa. Ethan says he can't marry Gwen. Pilar tells Ethan that Julian and Ivy will never let him be with Theresa. Pilar has to go to work and thinks this may be her last day as their housekeeper. Ethan calls up Gwen and leaves her a message. He says that something came up today so they can't do anything today, and he does need to talk to her. Ethan says he loves Gwen, which Theresa overhears. When Ethan sees Theresa standing there, Theresa says "You'll never give her up for me, will you. . . " Ethan tells Theresa that loving her hasn't been easy, their love will kill Gwen and calling off this wedding will make headlines worldwide headlines. Ethan says he does love her, but he also loves Gwen. Theresa says she loves him too. Ethan admits to Theresa that he hasn't told Gwen about them yet. Theresa says she has to go to work, she wants his mother to think well of her. Ethan asks her not to say anything to his mom about the wedding just yet. Ethan tells Theresa to go change and he'll drive her over there.
Julian is dressed up in a fencing uniform and is pretending to slice Luis from ear to ear. Ivy walks in on Julian and asks if he is planning on challenging Luis to a duel? Julian says he would win much too easily, the duel would be over in no time. However, Julian plans to deal with Luis after the wedding. Ivy worries about something going wrong at the last minute, but Julian says Ethan will marry Gwen, he will do what is right for the family. Julian says that is why he hired a Luis look-a-like to keep him and Sheridan apart. Ivy says that when two people are in love, nothing can keep them apart. Julian says she is wrong, pride will keep him and Sheridan apart. Ivy asks what happens if Luis and Sheridan overcome their pride and compare notes? Julian says that doesn't matter, he has another plan to protect Sheridan from Luis. Gwen shows up and thanks Julian for the wonderful wedding gift. Ivy almost has a heart attack when she sees that Gwen is wearing the Crane jewels. Gwen says she and Rebecca love them. Ivy says she's sure Rebecca is thrilled that they have a share of the Crane family jewels, then she tells Julian that she'll have to be dead before they get the rest of them! Gwen leaves to look for Ethan, but can't find him anywhere. Gwen talks with Julian and Ivy about the wedding, Alistair and the entire Crane clan will be there. Gwen really wants to show Ethan her pearls, so she runs to the cottage to see if Ethan is there.
At the cottage, Luis goes into Sheridan's room and finds a book on the floor. Sheridan is asleep, so Luis reads the book. Sheridan wakes up and asks him if he is looking for something? Luis says he heard her drop her book and thought she might be in trouble. He asks if she slept okay, and she says for the first time in years she did. Sheridan says she had nothing but sweet dreams. Luis asked what she dreamed about? Sheridan answers "You." Sheridan wants to help Luis find out about his father, but Luis says she's helped him enough as is. Luis says all he wanted to do was help her find out was causing her nightmares. Luis and Sheridan part so they can get dressed, and they both realize the other is pulling away. Sheridan thinks she might be wrong about Luis, if he wanted to use her then he would be trying to get closer. Later, Hank shows up, and Luis tells Sheridan that he might not be her body guard much longer. Hank asks Luis if he is sure Sheridan is no longer in danger? Sheridan says Luis has a right to get on with his own life. Luis says "Maybe I should . . . " Gwen shows up, so Luis and Hank let them have some privacy. Gwen asks Sheridan what has happened between her and Luis? Sheridan says she thought they were getting close again, but then she remembered something that happened between them awhile back. Gwen thinks that she should talk things over with Luis, maybe they can work things out. Gwen tells Sheridan to look into the reason she and Luis aren't together. Gwen has to run, and the two say goodbye.
Outside, Hank asks Luis why things between him and Sheridan are so chilly? Luis says he realizes he was living in a fools paradise, last time they got close, Sheridan turned on him and went off to Paris. Luis says he was a fool to think anything could happen between them. Luis changes the subject and says that Theresa has fallen for some new rich kid, he just hopes he's nothing like Ethan. Luis says that Ethan is like all the other Cranes, except Sheridan. Luis says Sheridan is different, she's unlike any woman he's ever known. Hank tells Luis that he's out of his mind for letting his beef with the Cranes get in the way of him and Sheridan, but then again that leaves the field wide open for him. Hank takes off, and gets a call from Roger. Roger identifies himself as the man who ordered Les to kill Sheridan. Hank says that he has nothing to say to him! Roger tells Hank that he works for him now, and he wants Sheridan dead!
Luis goes back inside, and Sheridan and Luis begin to bicker about how they are two different people with two different values. Luis tells Sheridan that he doesn't understand her, why did she slap him? Sheridan tells Luis that he knows why, she overheard what he said. Luis says he doesn't have a clue what she is talking about. SHeridan tells Luis that it is time to clear the air between them.
Pilar shows up for work, and Ivy tells her that her nerves are just shot. She asks Pilar if she thinks Ethan will do anything foolish before the wedding? Pilar says not to her knowledge, and that he didn't say anything when she saw him earlier. She says she just saw Ethan this morning when he came over to check on Theresa. Ivy apologizes to Pilar about the inquisition earlier, and she says she'd knows nothing could be going on between Ethan and Theresa. Later, Theresa and Ethan show up, and Ivy tells Theresa that she has a mountain of work for her. Suddenly, Gwen shows up and shows the jewels she received from his father. Julian is the next to show up and says that father just called and is on his way to Harmony to attend the wedding. Ethan takes Gwen's hands and tells her that there is something they have to talk about. Ethan looks at Theresa, who nods.
