Up near the ruins, Evil Charity's wind storm knocks Miguel into the old mine shaft. Miguel falls and falls and eventually lands at the bottom, but the boards he hit on the way down pile on top of him. Tabitha and Timmy show up at the mine and try and look for him, but they can't see him. Evil Charity surprises them from behind and tells them what she did, and Tabitha congratulates the demons inside of Charity. Evil Charity tells Tabitha that it won't work, she is a disgrace to the entire dark side and most join Miguel in the bowels of the earth! Evil Charity sucks in and tries to blow them into the mine as well. Tabitha doesn't understand how Charity's wind can be effecting them when she should have her powers back, unless Miguel isn't dead! Evil Charity stops and says he may not be dead yet, but he will be. Tabitha says their only hope is for good to conquer evil this once. Charity and Evil Charity begin to fight for control of Charity's soul.
Tabitha and Timmy run back to camp and wake up Kay and tells her that she's very worried about Miguel and Charity because they seem to be missing. Tabitha makes it seem that Charity and Miguel had a fight, so Kay goes looking for Miguel to pick up the pieces. Secretly, Tabitha hopes Kay will kill Evil Charity!
Back at the mines, good and evil are still battling it out inside of Charity as Miguel yells for help. Kay shows up and sees Charity's eyes glowing. She asks her what is wrong with her eyes? Kay also notices that Charity's pendant is glowing as well. Charity says that it just must be the reflection from the pendant, which must be glowing because of the reflection from the light. Charity asks Kay what she is doing here? Kay says she's looking for Miguel. Charity says she hasn't seen him, and then happens to "bump" into Kay, causing her to fall into the mine as well! Suddenly, Tabitha jumps out from the bushes and pushes Evil Charity into the mine as well!
Sheridan and Luis return to the cottage. Luis tells Sheridan that he is proud of her for sticking in there through everything, and she is going to make an excellent mother. Sheridan decides to change out of her clothes, and Luis decides to call Sam. Luis talks to Sam about delivering the baby with Sheridan. Sam asks Luis if he is getting soft on Sheridan? Luis says he is not a masochist, he learned his lesson. As Luis tells Sam that he won't get involved with Sheridan again, Luis looks over and sees Sheridan standing there. Sheridan is a bit miffed about what she heard. She knows Sam was on the phone warning him to stay away from the evil Cranes. Luis tells Sheridan that even though tonight was amazing, nothing has changed, she still doesn't trust him. Sheridan realizes that Luis is right. Luis and Sheridan sit down and Luis talks about how delivering Pat's baby and Ethan's upcoming wedding make you think about the important things in life. Luis says he does envy Ethan for starting down the road of life with someone he loves. Sheridan tells Luis that if he knew Ethan better then he'd know why she cares so much about him. Luis says that won't happen. Sheridan thinks Luis would like him. Luis says perhaps he has been wrong about Ethan, if she thinks so highly of him. Besides, Luis says that Ethan has never done anything to anyone in his family.
At the party, Gwen's sister propose a toast to love, marriage, and hopefully soon a baby carriage! Elsewhere, Julian and Rebecca watch as Ivy begs Ethan to forget about Theresa and marry Gwen. Ethan says the last thing he would want to do is hurt her or Gwen, but he loves Theresa. Ivy thinks this is all her fault, and Julian and Rebecca both agree! Still, Alistair, who is still on the phone, says he will hold both Julian and Ivy responsible if Ethan doesn't marry Gwen. Ivy and Rebecca try to convince Ethan that Gwen is the right woman for him. Ivy asks Ethan if he trusts her? He says of course he does, which pleases everyone. Julian tells Alistair that everything is under control and Ethan will marry Gwen as planned. Ethan says they don't understand, he's still not marrying Gwen. Gwen shows up and asks Ivy what is wrong? Rebecca claims that Ivy is just upset about loosing Ethan, so Gwen says she's not losing a son, she's gaining a daughter. Gwen hugs Ivy and leaves to do something. Rebecca asks Ethan how he can rip that smile off of Gwen's face? Why doesn't he just stab her in the heart? Ethan asks to talk to his mom alone, so they go off to talk. Ethan doesn't understand why his mother doesn't want him to follow his heart when he often gets the sense that she wishes she had. Ethan says he does not want to look back years from now and think what might have been. Ivy asks Ethan if he wants to marry Theresa? Ethan says he needs time to think, doesn't she wish she had time to think before marrying father and giving up the man she loved? Ethan tells his mom that Theresa makes him laugh, she makes him forget about his responsibilities of being a Crane. He even says that he felt so relaxed around Theresa that he did his Elvis impersonation for her. Ethan says that would never happen with Gwen, and he can't give that up. Still, Ivy says what he has with Theresa can't go any further because there are too many class differences between them, Theresa will never fit into their world and there will always be some small part of him that will be embarrassed by her. Julian puts Ethan back on the phone with Alistair, who warns Ethan that if he doesn't go through with this wedding tomorrow there will be grave consequences for him. Ethan says he will just have to deal with them. Julian tells his son to be reasonable, he can marry Gwen and still have Theresa! Rebecca shakes her head in agreement, and Ivy begs Ethan to marry the woman he was destined to marry. Ethan says that is what he's trying to tell them, he doesn't think Gwen is that woman. Gwen returns once again, she had just finished saying goodbye to their last guest, and she tells Ethan that they can finally be alone. Ethan suggests he and Gwen find someplace to talk, so they leave. After Ethan and Gwen leave, Rebecca tells Ivy how she offered Theresa a plane ticket and a large some of cash to leave town. Ivy thinks Rebecca really should have been a Crane! Ivy hopes Rebecca's plan work because she's given up a lot for Ethan's future.
Ethan and Gwen go out to the garden where they first kissed and Ethan carved their initials into the tree. Gwen says he told her that night that he would love her forever, but she didn't believe him. However, she says she knows now that their love will last forever. Gwen asks Ethan what it was that he wanted to talk to her about? Ethan says the wedding, he needs to talk to her about the wedding. Ethan finally gives Gwen the news, he wants to call off the wedding!
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald's house, Theresa asks Sam if he believes in fate? Sam says he does, but he's looking for Luis. Theresa says Luis isn't home, so Sam says he'll check the station. Theresa stops Sam and tells him that she needs to talk to him about Ethan. Sam says that Ethan is bad news, so she should stay away from him. Sam says Ethan is as cold as Julian and Alistair, it is in his blood. Suddenly, Pilar shows up and asks if everything is okay? Sam says he came looking for Luis. Suddenly, Luis calls Sam, and as they talk, Pilar sees that Theresa is holding something. Theresa tries to hide it from her mom, but Pilar grabs it from her and begins to panic. Theresa asks her mother how she could hide this from Sam? Pilar says it wasn't her secret to tell. Theresa says it doesn't matter, it isn't fare to Ethan or Sam. Theresa intends to tell Sam the truth the minute he gets off the phone because then Ethan will be free to love her. Sam ends his phone call with Luis and asks Theresa what she wanted to talk with him about? Pilar says that Theresa just wanted to know how the party was? Sam says that it wasn't a picnic and he only went because Grace wanted to go. Sam also doesn't understand why Ivy was so upset, she should be happy to be gaining a daughter. Sam hopes that is the way he feels when his son Noah finally marries. Sam has to leave, and so he does. Theresa tells her mom that she went to the party tonight because of Mrs. Hotckiss. Rebecca says that woman is a nasty piece of work. When Theresa tells her mom about Rebecca's offer, Theresa damns the woman and tells Theresa that she is not going anywhere! Theresa tells her mom that she has no plans to go anywhere because she no longer has to. Theresa says that tomorrow she will go to the wedding and she will tell everyone that Ethan is Sam Bennett's son! Pilar tells Theresa that she cannot do that, it isn't fare to turn everyone's lives upside down. Theresa thinks this isn't fair to Ethan, if he knew who he really was then he would be free to make any choice in the world. Pilar tells Theresa that Ethan may be Sam Bennett's biological son, but Ethan is a true Crane in all the ways that really matter. Pilar assures Thersa that Ethan will hate her for taking away everything he thinks about himself, everything he believes he is. Theresa believes he would understand, but Pilar says he would be to angry with her to understand why she did what she did. They continue to argue, and Pilar tells Theresa to think about the fact that Ethan only told Theresa that he loved her, he didn't say he would marry her. Pilar says that perhaps Ethan doesn't love her enough to cancel his wedding to Gwen. Pilar asks Theresa to forget about Sam being Ethan's father. Pilar plans to talk to Rebecca in the morning about her scheming. Pilar hugs Theresa and tells her that she worries about her missing husband and son enough as is, it would kill her to lose her too. Theresa tells her mother that she loves her, no matter what happens, remember that she loves her. Pilar promises that things will look better in the morning. After Theresa's mom sees her to bed, Theresa retrieves her suitcase and once again begins to pack.
Sam goes to Sheridan's cottage to make sure that Luis isn't getting involved with Sheridan. Luis admits to Sam that the thought has crossed his mind, but he knows better than to get involved with her again. Sam urges Luis to find someone else because the Crane's always end up with someone in their own league. Luis switches the subject and asks Sam how the party went? Sam says he hopes he never has to see that jerk Ethan again after his wedding! Sam once again warns Luis to be careful, and then says good night.
Down in the mineshaft, the teens lay unconscious on the ground. TImmy's pine cone ends up hitting Kay, who wakes up. Kay gets up and wonders why Charity didn't save her, did she push her? Kay wonders how she will get out of here, and then she sees Charity on the ground as well. Kay stirs Charity, and jumps away from her when Charity jerks. Kay wonders what is wrong with Charity. Charity wakes up and is normal. She doesn't understand where they are or what happened. Kay says they've fallen into the mine shaft. Kay asks Charity about her eyes. Charity says they are fine, why? Kay says that before they fell her eyes seemed to be glowing, as was the pendant. Charity looks for the pendant and realizes she lost it during the fall. As they talk about what is going on, they find Miguel lying unconscious nearby. Kay says his heart is barely beating. Charity asks God not to let Miguel die. Kay says they need to get him out of here, but CHarity wonders how they will get out? Kay thinks they are going to die down here, and she will go to hell because of the lies she's told. Kay tells Charity how she lied to Whitney about Chad to keep her away from him. Charity tells Kay that lies have a way of coming out sooner or later, and Chad and Whitney will learn what she has done to them. Kay decides to venture down one of the tunnels to see where it leads. Charity tells Kay to be careful, and she stays behind to be with Miguel. Later, Kay returns and tells Charity that there is no way out. Charity tells her not to worry, Reese and Simone will find them.
Back at the enterance, Tabitha plans to make sure that Simone and Reese don't go searching for the others when they wake up. Suddenly, the Puritan spirits return, but Tabitha isn't afraid of them. Tabitha decides to put them in their place and warns them not to mess with her because Tabitha is back! Timmy begs her not to make the spirits angry, but Tabitha says she isn't afraid of them now that she has her powers back. The spirits tell her that she shall burn, but Tabitha thinks they can do better than that! When she tells them to hit her with their best shot, they zap her and she begins to smoke! The spirits warn Tabitha that she will not win and evil will be destroyed, and then she vanishes. Tabitha is angry and says that once she has practiced a little more, her evil will rock this town! Tabitha realizes they have to cover their tracks before heading back to town, so they sweep away any footprints.
At Chad's place, Chad is looking at a picture of Whitney and can't figure her out. He thought her cold front was starting to melt, but then she went and copped this major attitude with him. Chad says he's sick of these games, so he puts on some music. Over at the Russell's, Whitney hears Chad's music and thinks he is trying to seduce her. Whitney becomes fed up with Chad's music and goes over to give him a piece of her mind. Chad is shocked to find Whitney at his door at such a late hour. She reminds him that they share a wall, and she can hear his music. She also informs him that she has practice in the morning and this incident once again proves to her that he has no consideration for anyone but himself. Chad asks Whitney what this is really about, why is she giving him the cold shoulder lately? Whitney says it wouldn't matter because he'd deny it anyways. Chad tells her to try him, so she tells him the "truth." Whitney accuses Chad of getting Tiffany pregnant and then dumping her. Chad denies the accusation, which doesn't surprise Whitney. She thinks she knows the kind of guy he is, he is the kind of guy who sleeps with numerous women and leaves them when they get pregnant because he can't take the responsibility. Chad asks her if she really thinks that is the kind of guy he is? Whitney says she used to think he was different, but now she knows better. Chad is furious and tells Whitney that she knows how hard he's been looking for his own parents, so does she think he'd do the same thing to his own kid? Chad asks who has been telling these stories, he deserves a chance to defend himself. Whitney refuses to tell him the name of the person telling the stories, and she warns Chad to stay away from Simone or she will tell her parents what he did, and he doesn't want to make her father angry. Chad realizes that she's never going to give him a chance, give them a chance. Whitney says they will never be a couple, and she leaves. After she is gone, Chad vows not to give up until he finds out who has been telling these lies about him.
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald's, Theresa packs her suitcase and writes her mom a goodbye letter. After she finish her letter, Whitney calls to check up on her. Theresa claims she isn't leaving town, and she tells Whitney that her heart is in a million pieces. Whitney promises Theresa that they will get through this together. Theresa just hopes this won't effect her and Chad. Whitney says that love is the last thing that she wants in her life. Theresa and Whitney finally say goodbye, and Theresa tells Whit that she loves her.
At the Hotckiss mansion, Ethan tells Gwen that the wedding off. Gwen thinks this is just a joke and tells him that she isn't buying his joke. She says she knows he could never be so cruel, and tomorrow he will make her the happiest woman in the world. Ethan tries to tell her that this isn't a joke, but she just doesn't believe him. Gwen tries to walk away because she has so much to do before tomorrow, but Ethan stops her and tells her that the wedding is off! Gwen realizes he is not kidding, and she thinks it must be pre-wedding jitters. Ethan says it isn't jitters. Gwen cries and asks what would make him do this to her? Ethan says it is complicated. Gwen finally realizes that there is another woman. Ethan says he still loves her, but he is also in love with another woman. Gwen asks who she is, but Ethan says it doesn't matter because she is not to blame. Still, Gwen demands to know who she is. When Ethan says her name isn't important, Gwen yells at Ethan to tell her the name of the bitch is that he loves more than her! Gwen finally realize who Ethan is in love with when she decides to ask Theresa who the tramp is, the tramp is Theresa! Gwen gives Ethan a hearty slap across his face and tells him to get out of here because she doesn't want to speak to or see him again! Ethan walks off with his tail tucked in between his legs.
Elsewhere, Ivy assures Rebecca that Ethan is a good man and will do the right thing. Rebecca says that Ethan is so unlike the rest of his family, and if he didn't know better she'd think there wasn't a drop of Julian's blood in his veins. Ivy turns white as a sheet, and Rebecca asks what is wrong? Ivy says she has just forgotten to eat with all the excitement going on today. Julian returns with some wine and decides to toast to his success in convincing Ethan to go through with the wedding. As Ivy and Julian begin to drink, Rebecca sees that Gwen is no longer laughing, so she tells them that they better hold off. Julian decides to have words with Ethan, but Ivy refuses to allow Julian to say anything to her son. Ivy hopes that Ethan and Gwen can work this out on their own. Ivy, Julian, and Rebecca big to argue and point the blame at one another. Rebecca eventually blames Pilar, and Julian agrees. Julian says his father will stop at nothing to get to the bottom of this, and perhaps he'll stumble across Ivy's secrets along the way. Later, Ivy calls Pilar and decides to come over to get the papers on Ethan's paternity because she can't take a chance of anyone seeing them. Pilar tells Ivy that is for the best. Meanwhile, Rebecca learns that Theresa has picked up a ticket to Australia.
Gwen goes inside and cries on her mom's shoulder. Rebecca assures Gwen that Theresa won't get away with this, she will be Mrs. Ethan Crane! Julian tells Gwen to listen to her mom, no son of his will marry the housekeeper's daughter! Meanwhile, Ethan heads to the Lopez-Fitzgerald's house and walks in because he is afraid of walking Pilar. He walks in and hears Pilar telling Ivy that she will get the papers about Ethan together right away. Ethan asks Pilar what papers she is talking about?
Theresa goes to the airport and picks up a ticket to Australia. Later a woman named Elaine sits next to Australia and talks with Theresa. She realizes Theresa is running from a man. Elaine tells Theresa that the best way to mend a broken heart is to get revenge! Theresa realizes there is one thing she could do to hurt him. However, Theresa doesn't think she can do that to him. Theresa gets ready to board the plane, but pauses to consider if she's doing the right thing. A man tells her that the plane is about to depart and asks if she is still going? Theresa says she is.
At the airport, Theresa pauses before getting on the plane and thinks about Ethan. She wonders how he could break her heart. Theresa's new friend returns and tells her that it was a false alarm, they aren't boarding the plane just yet. The woman talks to a flight attendant and asks if there is something wrong with the plane? She says no, they just aren't allowed to take off until some big-wig VIP's private jet lands. Later, Theresa's friend realizes that Theresa is not only leaving a jerk behind, but her family as well. Theresa says she left a note for her mom, but by time she finds it, she'll be half way around the world. Meanwhile, Alistair's plane lands and everyone watches as he makes his grand entrance into the airport (Note: we still don't see a face). Theresa is staring out the window and not paying attention, and as she turns around, she runs right into AListair! Alistair's body guard grabs her, but he waves his hand and the man lets her go. She apologizes, but he tells her not to be. He notices she is crying, and asks if there is something he can do. Theresa thanks him but says no. Alistair realizes she is upset by a man, and tells Theresa that there are many other men who will love her a lot better than the young cad who has broken her heart. Theresa thanks him, and Alistair and his entourage take off.
Theresa boards the plane, and for some reason she can't shut her diary, which is on her PC, off. Her friend sees a picture of Ethan and realizes that he is the guy who broke her heart. The woman tries to convince Theresa to email those documents to someone in order to get back at this guy who used her. Theresa decides to go for it, but is told by the attendant to stow her laptop for takeoff. The woman realizes that Theresa won't do the deed later on when she gets the chance. Theresa says that no matter what Ethan has done to her, she can't hurt him like that.
Alistair talks with Heather as they leave the airport. He says that the future of Crane Industries depends on this merger/wedding, so if he needs to he will hold a shotgun to his grandson's head to make sure he marries Gwen tomorrow.
At the Hotckiss mansion, Gwen asks her mom how Ethan could break her heart. She is furious with Ethan and Theresa, and Rebecca says that Theresa won't get away with this! Gwen says that there is nothing she can do because Ethan loves Theresa. Rebecca swears that Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald will pay, she will wish she never heard the name Ethan Crane. Gwen can't believe that Theresa stabbed her in the back the way she did. Gwen vows to make sure that Theresa feels the same pain she does. Rebecca tells Gwen not to blame Ethan because he is just a man, the blame falls on Theresa's shoulders. Gwen doesn't know how she's going to face her friends when this news gets out, she will be humiliated because she has been jilted for the housekeeper's daughter. Rebecca advises gwen leave and not let Ethan's parents see her like this, so she does. After she walks off, Rebecca swears that Gwen will be Mrs. Ethan Crane.
Julian's phone continues to ring, and Ivy tells him that he might as well answer it because it is better Alistair hears the news from him than one of his other lackeys. Julian, who is struggling to open a bottle of booze, tells Ivy that when Alistair arrives he will get to the bottom of everything, including her own little secrets! Ivy decides to leave and take care of some things, but Julian refuses to let her leave when Alistair is about to descend down on them like and avenging angel. He advises that she just spit her secret out because Alistair is going to find out about it anyways. Julian grabs Ivy, but Ivy breaks free. She taunts Julian and suggests he hire and Ethan imposter just like he hired a Luis imposter. Julian thinks she might be onto something, but Ivy warns him that all his and his father's nasty plots will come back to haunt them one day!
Ivy takes off, and Rebecca sits with Julian. She asks where Ivy is? Julian says that Ivy believes she has more pressing matters to attend to, but Rebecca doesn't understand what could be more important that their current crisis. Julian couldn't agree more, and he tells that he always felt they thought alike. Rebecca says it is a shame he didn't marry her instead of Ivy. Julian says that he wishes he had, but he didn't have any choice in the matter, Ivy was chosen for him. Rebecca says that it made sense, Ivy was the governor's daughter, business is business. Julian says that is why they are so good together, Ivy still believes the best marriages are arranged through love. Julian and Rebecca talk about Ivy, and Julian says he is convinced that Ivy has a secret concerning Ethan. Rebecca is intrigued and offers to help him uncover Ivy's secret. Julian's phone begins ringing again, and Julian finally answers it. Alistair is furious to learn that Ethan has not only called off the wedding, but he's run off! Alistair warns Julian to fix this mess or he will wish he was dead! In his limo, Alistair asks his driver to take him back to the airport and notify them that they need to take off immediately. BAck at the Hotkiss mansion, Julian calls the airport to make sure Theresa's name has been taken off the list of departing passengers. He learns that she is on the plane and makes sure any record of her anywhere near the Harmony airport will be erased.
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald house, Ethan catches Pilar putting together papers on him and wonders what papers she is gathering? Pilar says he misunderstood her, but Ethan doesn't think so and he asks Pilar what she is hiding behind her back? However, Ethan thinks that they are just the papers for the memory book, so he tells her that they don't matter anymore because he has called off the wedding. Ethan says that is why he is here, he wants to tell Theresa that the wedding is off and nothing has changed. Pilar tells Ethan that Theresa was rather upset earlier, and Ethan isn't surprised. Pilar says that thanks to Rebecca Hotckiss, Theresa believes he is going to marry Gwen tomorrow. Ethan damns her, and Pilar says she couldn't have said it better herself. Ethan wants to talk to Theresa now, but Pilar tells him it is best he wait until the morning. They talk for a bit, and Pilar tells Ethan that despite the fact that she didn't want him to call off the wedding, she thinks what he did was very courageous. However, she slips up and says she's not surprised considering who his fa . . . Ethan is shocked because he never thought Pilar respected Julian. Ethan asks Pilar if he could please wake up Theresa, he will only disturb her for five minutes. Pilar thinks perhaps Theresa will rest better knowing the truth, so she goes to get Theresa. Pilar rushes back out of Theresa's room and tells Ethan that Theresa is gone! As they ponder where she might be, Pilar finds Theresa's note. Ethan asks where Theresa would have gotten the money to leave town? Pilar says Rebecca Hotckiss did this, and she explains to Ethan how Rebecca arranged for Theresa to have a ticket waiting for her to take her far away from Harmony so she did not have to see him marry Gwen. Ethan swears to wring that woman's neck, but first he decides to head to the airport and see if he can catch Theresa.
Ivy shows up at the Lopez-Fitzgerald house and gathers up the papers on Ethan. She knows she should burn them, but she is still hesitant to do so because in destroying them she destroys any chance of being with Sam. Pilar says she needs to accept that she will never be with Sam again. However, Ivy just doesn't know how she can accept the unacceptable. Pilar urges her to get rid of the papers, but Ivy thinks they are safe here. When Pilar says that AListair could show up here one day, Ivy quickly burns the papers.
Ethan arrives at the airport and convinces the woman at the counter to do a search on Theresa and find out where she has gone to. Unfortunately, the name is deleted off the computer before the woman at the counter sees it. Ethan begins to wonder where Theresa could be.
At the cottage, Sheridan and Luis are dreaming that they are married and have a child. However, the sweet dreams take a turn for the worse as they dream of fighting with one another. Luis wakes up and wonders how Sheridan could ever of thought he said he was using her. Meanwhile, Sheridan can't forget hearing the words the Luis' imposter said. She's unable to get back to sleep, so she decides to make herself some tea. She goes out into the living room, and ends up running into a shirtless Luis who is doing sit-ups on the floor. Sheridan offers to get out of his way, but he tells her to wait. Luis apologizes to Sheridan for trashing Ethan, and Sheridan accepts it. She tells him that he always seems to surprise her. Luis says that she has surprised him a few times as well, who knew she would have been such a wiz with those kids. He also says that he doesn't know if Pat's kid would have it into this world without her. Sheridan says she just had a dream about Pat and something she said to her. As Sheridan is about to say something possibly very important, a sound alarms Luis. Luis says he must check out the sound, but he will be right back. It turns out to be Gwen, and when Sheridan sees she is crying, she asks Luis to give her and Gwen some time alone. Gwen tells Sheridan about what Ethan did to her. Sheridan comforts Gwen, and she is angry to learn that Sheridan knew and didn't tell her. Gwen asks her how she could make her look like a fool? Sheridan says she was hoping Ethan would change his mind. Gwen says she doesn't know what to feel anymore. She says that part of her wants to crawl into a whole and die, whereas another part wants to kill Theresa with her bare hands! Gwen screams that tomorrow should have been the happiest day of her life, but now she'd rather not wake up because of Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald! Suddenly, Luis walks in and asks why they are talking about his sister?
At the cottage, Gwen vents to SHeridan that she wants to kill THeresa with her bare hands. Gwen says that tomorrow should have been the happiest day of her life, but now she would give anything not to wake up because of Theresa! Luis walks in and asks why they are talking about his sister? Sheridan says that Gwen is just a bit upset, and she tells Gwen to go into her bedroom and freshen up. Gwen leaves, and Luis asks Sheridan what is going on, who is Gwen going to kill? Sheridan says that Ethan has called off the wedding because he's having second thoughts. Luis thinks this is a typical Crane stunt. Sheridan defends Ethan, but Luis says it doesn't matter to him because it doesn't effect his family. Luis asks Sheridan why they were talking about his sister? Sheridan says that Theresa was helping out with the wedding to make some extra money. Luis is not pleased. Sheridan hears a glass break, so she excuses herself to tend to Gwen. Gwen continues to beat herself up about how stupid she's been about Theresa. Sheridan asks her not to do this to herself. Gwen says that Theresa was so sly, she is so low. When Sheridan says she finds it hard to believe that Theresa is some slick little . . . Gwen begins screaming at Sheridan for defending Theresa, but it doesn't surprise her since she has the hots for Luis. Gwen warns Sheridan to stay away from all the Lopez-Fitzgeralds because they are only after the Crane name.
Sam and Luis show up to check on Luis, who tells them that Sheridan is trying to calm Gwen down because Ethan broke off the wedding. Sam and Hank are both shocked. Sam says that Ethan is becoming more and more like a Crane, but Hank thinks he is a good kid. Sam warns Hank to stay away from the Cranes, but Hank says "no can do . . " Luis says Ethan can do whatever she wants, what he is upset about is that Theresa has been helping out with the wedding. Luis just wonders what else she has been keeping from him. Sam takes off, and Hank tries to convince Luis to go easy on Theresa. Luis refuses because something happens to Theresa when she is around Ethan. Hank says yeah, that is why it is called a crush. Luis and Hank go inside and ask Sheridan what broke Ethan and Gwen up? Sheridan says it is complicated. Gwen, who was in the bedroom, comes out and tells Luis and Hank that she'll be happy to tell them what broke her and Ethan up.
Sam goes back to the park, and is found by Grace. Grace says she thought she'd find him here, and she thinks she knows why. Grace tells Sam that she knows this place is very special to him.
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald house, Ivy continues to burn the papers on Ethan's parentage. She rants and raves that if her father and Alistair hadn't forced her to marry Julian than she might still be with her true love. Pilar asks Ivy how can she see it? Doesn't she realize that she is doing the exact same thing they did to her, she is keeping two people apart who love one another, Ethan and Theresa! Ivy says they are not the same thing, her marriage was arranged, but Ethan has been in love with Gwen virtually his entire life. Pilar says that Ethan may only have loved Theresa for a short time, but he does love her. Pilar tells Ivy that the truth is that she doesn't want Ethan to marry Theresa not because he hasn't loved her long enough, but because Theresa is not from her class. Ivy exclaims "That is so unfair!" Ivy says if Ethan doesn't marry Gwen Hotckiss then he will be disowned and lose everything. Ivy goes on to say that she has stayed married to Julian all these years to make sure Ethan gets what he deserves, and she will not allow him to loose everything now! Pilar tells Ivy that wealth and power mean little to her, but she has as much desire to see Ethan with Theresa as Ivy does. Ivy is confused by that statement. Pilar says as much as they love each other, there are far to many differences between Ethan and Theresa to make this relationship last. Pilar goes on to say that what makes her really angry is that Rebecca Hotchkiss has interfered with her family and sent her baby girl off to God knows where. Ivy continues to whine about how much she has sacrificed for Ethan. Pilar finally has heard enough and tells Ivy that she is so tired of listening to her whine! Pilar tells Ivy that she has never once considered her problems, that she might be upset about something! Ivy says she didn't know, but Pilar says that she just didn't want to know. Pilar says she has lost a husband and a son, and now a daughter, but the only thing she can think about is herself! Pilar begins to think that perhaps Luis is right, maybe they were responsible for Martin's disappearance because they sure are responsible for Theresa's disappearance. Pilar tells Ivy that she is just so sick and tired of her problems, does her own family not count for anything? Ivy is shocked because Pilar has never spoken to her in this manner before. Pilar says that maybe it is time she did! Ivy realizes that Pilar is correct, she hasn't thought of her. Ivy tells Pilar that she has been her only friend, and she apologize for treating her so shabbily. Pilar accepts her apology, but says it still doesn't change anything. Pilar says that she still doesn't know where her Theresa is. As Ivy continues to burn Ethan's birth papers, she accidentally drops one on the floor and it goes unnoticed.
At the Hotckiss mansion, Julian and Rebecca celebrate Theresa's departure. Julian says that with Theresa gone, Ethan's head will clear and he and Gwen will get back together and marry. Rebecca hopes that Ethan comes to his senses quickly, and she can't believe the Cranes don't have more of an influence over Ethan. Both Rebecca and Julian wonder where in the hell Ivy is, what is more important than her own son's wedding? Julian says that Ivy has been keeping something from him for months, he just wishes he knew what. Rebecca tells Julian that the reason he can't control Ethan is because he can't control Ivy! Rebecca eventually switches the subject and says she wants to talk about the two of them. Rebecca gives Julian a sensual massage and tells him that he deserves to be taken care of because he's such a special man. She admires him and the way he makes things happen, it is just a shame he had to marry Ivy. Rebecca tells him that Ivy is so cold, so unlike him. Rebecca says she knew his marriage to Ivy was a mistake from the beginning, and we learn that Rebecca was Ivy's maid of honor. Rebeeca suggests to Julian that he forget Ivy and team up with her! Julian says they would make a formidable team, but his father would never allow him to divorce Ivy. Rebecca suggests they play "what if . . . " What if Ivy is hiding a deep dark secret? Julian says that isn't a what if, it is a given. Rebecca thinks that if they could uncover it, perhaps it would change Alistair's mind? Julian says that it would have to be something very explosive. Suddenly, Alistair calls Julian and tells him to stop sitting on his duff and do something about this wedding. Julian says he is sure Pilar had something to do with the breakup. When Alistair informs Julian that Ivy is at Pilar's, Julian decides to head over their right away. Rebecca begins to formulate a plan to make herself MRs. Crane if Gwen doesn't!
Julian walks into the Lopez-Fitzgerald house and catches Ivy burning papers. He asks her what she is doing? Ivy says they were just starting a fire because they were cold. Julian assures Ivy that Alistair will smoke out her secrets. Ivy informs Julian that she came here to talk to Theresa. Ivy says that Theresa is the innocent in all of this, Ethan started the relationship, and she was hoping Theresa could talk some sense into him. Julian doubts that would happen, and asks where Theresa is? Ivy says she doesn't know, she was gone when she arrived. Pilar spots Rebecca in the doorway and she yells that it is her fault that her Theresa is gone! Rebecca says that little whore should be grateful that she paid for her plane ticket! Pilar almost kills Rebecca, but Ivy and Julian step in. Rebecca says that the housekeeper and her daughter aren't interested in helping them, they are only after the Crane fortune! Pilar demands to know where her daughter is! Julian fires Pilar, but Ivy says that Pilar is her maid and only she can hire or fire her! Rebecca asks Ivy how much she will stand for, is she going to allow Ethan and this Lopez-Fitzgerald to marry? Ivy says that is enough! Rebecca urges Ivy to get rid of Pilar now!
At the airport, Ethan wonders where Theresa could be. He says he can't loose Theresa now, not after he canceled the wedding for her. Ethan asks the woman at the desk to look under the name Rebecca Hotckiss. The woman looks up Rebecca's name, but can find no record of it. Theresa is onboard the plane, which is about to take off. Her friend hates seeing Theresa look so sad, but Theresa says what she is doing is the right thing. The woman offers Theresa a tissue and tells her "good riddens to bad . . " Theresa stops her and says that Ethan isn't rubbish, he is the most wonderful man in the world. The woman is confused because Theresa just said that he was using her and making a play for her before he got married. Theresa says that is true, but she'll never love another man. Theresa still thinks Ethan is perfect and she says she'll think of him for every hour of every day for the rest of her life. Back in the airport, Ethan asks God not to take Theresa away from him. Ethan looks out the window and happens to see Theresa looking out the window of the plane on the runway. He learns that is the Australia flight, and he begs the woman at the desk to turn the plane around. The woman says she can't do that, nothing can bring that plane back now. Ethan demands to see the manager, and when she comes out to see what is going on, Ethan uses the Crane name to try and stop the plane from taking off. The manager tells Mr. Crane that FAA regulations prohibit them from stopping a take-off. Ethan doesn't care and says "Crane regulations say that plane turns around!" Ethan eventually gets his way and boards the plane. When Theresa sees him she tries to hide and hopes Ethan will just go away.
Kay worries she, Charity, and Miguel could die before anyone finds them, while Tabitha and Timmy celebrate their apparent demise. When Simone and Reese announce they are going to search for the missing teens, Tabitha tries to dissuade them so they won't find the mysterious box. Simone and Reese come close to discovering the kids in the mine shaft, but Tabitha drowns out the shouts of help with her own voice. Later, Tabitha and Timmy realize they have to stop Charity from ever escaping the shaft, especially if Charity puts back on the pendent.
Sheridan stops Gwen from revealing to Luis Theresa's part in Ethan calling off the wedding. After Gwen storms off, Sheridan reveals to Hank how Ethan called off the wedding because he is in love with Theresa. When Sheridan tries to tell Luis, he says he is happy Theresa is no longer dreaming of being with Ethan. Meanwhile, Gwen's anger towards Theresa continues to build.
Ethan begs Theresa to trust his love for her and get off the plane with him, but Theresa refuses to believe him. Later, after Ethan is dragged away by security guards and the plane prepares for takeoff, Theresa realizes Ethan does love her after all. Ethan laments about losing Theresa, when she appears before him, and the two declare their love for one another.
