Sheridan freezes in terror when Luis says they need to deliver Pat's baby. Luis is confused by Sheridan's refusal to help, but then she confides how she fears Pat will die. She already feels responsible for the death of her mother, who never recovered after giving birth to her. Luis comforts her. Luis and Sheridan work together to help Pat through a difficult labor and deliver her baby.
At the party, TC tries to get Julian to admit his involvement in the car accident that ended his tennis career. Julian feigns innocence. TC vows to kill Julian if he ever finds proof of his guilt. Eve separates the two men. TC declines to tell Eve why he hates Julian. Meanwhile, Ivy orders Pilar to go home and fetch the papers that prove Ethan is not a Crane. She wants Sam to know Ethan is his son.
Theresa decides to go to Ethan and Gwen's engagement party to find out why the wedding hasn't been called off yet. Meanwhile, at the Hotchkiss estate, Ethan is on the verge of telling Gwen the wedding is off, but Rebecca purposely interrupts. Chad encourages Ethan to come clean with Gwen immediately, and Ethan sets out to do so until he runs into Ivy. A distraught Ivy contemplates telling Ethan he's not Julian's son.
By the fire, Charity is talking in old english. She tells Miguel that he is in mortal danger. Miguel asks her why she is talking like they did three hundred years ago? Charity snaps out of her trance and thinks it is because of the story Tabitha told them. Charity says she is really tired and just wants to go to sleep. Miguel and Charity go to sleep, but Charity has a dream about the witch burning. Charity sees her aunt Grace and asks what she is doing here? Grace says she is her long lost ancestor! They all start chanting "Burn with burn!" Charity sees Tabitha and Timmy tied to the stake and being burned. Tabitha curses them all. Charity wakes up from her dream in a trance chanting "Tabitha, thou'rt a witch!"
Back at the camp, the kids realize Charity is gone, probably sleep walking, so they decide to go find her. Kay hopes that Charity falls down a mineshaft and slides down to hell.
At the old graveyard, the spirits of the Cranes, Bennetts, and Standishes confront Tabitha and tell her that she is a witch and must burn! Timmy asks Tabitha what they will do? Tabitha tries to cast a spell to make them return to their graves, but the spell fails. Timmy thinks he and Tabitha have had it, they're finished. Tabitha attempts one more spell, but it too fails. Tabitha says there is only one thing they can do, RUN! However, the spirits have them trapped, and Tabitha thinks they really are done for. However, the spirits end up walking right through Tabitha and Timmy and return to their graves. Tabitha realizes that these spirits are full of hot air, they can't do anything but try and scare them. Tabitha is so angry that she decides to give the spirits a piece of her mind. Tabitha hopes they have had fun, but now it is her turn. Tabitha informs them that she put a curse on each of them after they lit that fire. She tells the Crane that Julian may be riding high right now, but Ethan isn't his son, and that is the curse she put on them! Tabitha tells the Winthrop spirit that it is her descendant, Ivy, who will put the curse in motion by revealing the truth. She then tells the Bennetts and the Standish ghosts that their descendants home will be wrecked when the truth comes out because Ethan is a Bennett. The spirits call Tabitha evil and yells at her to burn! Timmy doesn't think this is a good idea, but Tabitha says as long as Charity isn't here, they can't hurt her. Unfortunately, a sleep walking Charity is on her way to the graveyard chanting "Thou'rt a witch!" Suddenly, Charity shows up, and Timmy points her out to Tabitha. Charity points at Tabitha and accuses her of being a witch and trying to destroy them! The spirits beg Charity to save them from evil and stay on the good side. Charity starts screaming "Die witch, die!"
Pilar fetches Ivy's attache case from her house. SHe can't believe Ivy wants to show these papers to Sam. She wants to destroy them, but realizes she has no right to do that. However, she says she can't take them to Ivy. Pilar asks for guidance, and God grants her wish by sending Father Lonagin to her door. Pilar asks him how he knew she was in trouble? Father Lonagin says he was praying when he was struck with something that could cause a lot of pain in Harmony. Father Lonagin asks if it has to do with her family? Pilar tells Father Lonagin that she is in possession of papers which will destroy marriages and cause great pain. Father Lonagin doesn't understand why the truth about these papers has to come out? Pilar explains that there is a woman who wants this information known because she believes it will cure her loneliness. Pilar asks Father Lonagin to help her, to tell her what to do. Suddenly, Ivy calls Pilar up and orders her to bring those papers right now! Father Lonagin tells Pilar that inside she knows the right thing to do, and he trusts her to do just that. Father Lonagin says he must go now, but he feels that something may happen to bring great pain to Harmony. Father Lonagin leaves, and Pilar wonders what the right thing to do is.
At the party, Eve tries to convince Ivy that she can't reveal the truth to Sam. Ivy warns Eve that she better shut up or she'll show the pictures of her and Julian to TC. Later, a drunk Julian begins to come onto Eve. Eve tells him to leave her alone, does he want TC to see them together? Julian asks Eve to sing, but she refuses and warns Julian to stay away from her. Julian leaves, and Eve prays Ivy doesn't tell Sam the truth because then he'll know she lied to him, and then he'll want to know why.
Elsewhere, Rebecca reads a poem that Ethan wrote for Gwen last Valentines day in order to show everyone how much Ethan loves her. Everyone awes at the poem, everyone but Theresa. Ethan is then forced to toast to Gwen, which breaks Theresa's heart. Theresa is convinced that she has lost Ethan. Rebecca sees Theresa's heart breaking and tells herself that the little half-breed has no idea what more pain lies in store for her. Ethan excuses himself and talks to Chad. Chad asks Ethan what was up with that? Ethan says he has no idea, this is all Rebecca's doing. Rebecca thinks this is all just too delicious and that it is time to twist the knife a little more. Rebecca insists that Ethan and Gwen share a dance, and she asks Chad to play Ethan and Gwen's favorite song. Ethan asks Rebecca if this is a good idea? Ethan thinks this is just going to make things more difficult for Gwen. Rebecca thinks it will make things easier, and she says she's going to send Gwen to Europe tomorrow, but she wants her to have this last happy night. Theresa is devastated as she watches Ethan and Gwen dance. Whitney tells Theresa that they should just go home.
On the dance floor, Gwen tells Ethan that this is the most wonderful night of her life, until she becomes Ethan tomorrow night. Gwen just wishes Theresa was here. Ethan says that Theresa wasn't feeling well. After Gwen and Ethan finish dancing, Ethan talks to Chad again. Chad wonders where Theresa is, so Ethan decides to call her to make sure she is all right. Unfortunately, Ethan gets her answering machine. Ethan wonders where she could be. Chad says as long as she isn't here! Ethan agrees with Chad.
Meanwhile, Rebecca confronts Theresa and insists that she not leave because they have something very important to talk about. Rebecca asks Theresa if she is crying? Theresa says no, but Rebecca thinks she is because she's so happy for Ethan and Theresa. Rebecca asks Theresa if she arrived in time for her to hear Ethan's poem? Whitney says they must be leaving, but Rebecca tells them not so fast. Rebecca tells Theresa that she was right to suspect a woman of wanting to take Ethan away from Gwen, and she wants to hear what she has to say about it. Theresa says she doesn't know what to say. Rebecca says it is okay, because she knows now that there is a local girl Ethan has been stringing along. Rebecca claims she doesn't know who this girl's name is, only that Ethan bragged to his friends that he was stringing her along and claimed he was going to call off the wedding for her. Rebecca says she owes Theresa a big apology because she knows now that she wasn't talking about her. Rebecca takes Theresa's hands and tells her that she knows now she is happy to be here and enjoying Ethan and Gwen's love. Rebecca leaves, and Whitney tells Theresa that she is just an evil woman and they should leave. Suddenly, Julian makes a toast to the happy couple. Theresa realizes it is over and calls herself stupid for thinking Ethan would give this all up for her.
Pilar shows up, without the papers, and Ivy is furious. Ivy decides to tell Sam the truth with or without those papers! Pilar goes to Eve for help, and Eve says she'll do what she can. Sam goes to leave, but Ivy rushes after him and stops him. Ivy tells Sam that they need to talk because she has something to tell him.
Theresa is walking around the grounds telling herself that she was so stupid to believe she could have a life with Ethan. Theresa realizes there must be some explanation for Ethan's actions. Rebecca finds Theresa crying and thinks she is upset about the story she told her about Ethan leading some girl on. She asks Theresa why such a story would upset her? Rebecca asks Theresa if the girl Ethan was talking about her? Rebecca realizes she is, and she acts very sympathetic towards Theresa. Theresa says that Ethan told her that he loved her. Rebecca tells her that she is such a poor naive little girl, Ethan has no intention of calling off the wedding. Rebecca says if Ethan was going to call off the wedding, wouldn't he have told her by now? Rebecca tells Theresa that Ethan has played her for a silly, love struck fool. Rebecca can't believe Ethan is so much like his father, and she pretends to feel pity for Theresa. Rebecca claims she feels terrible and wishes there was something she could do to make her feel better. Rebecca suggests she get away for a few months. Theresa says she can't afford a trip, so Rebecca offers to finance her trip to wherever she wants to go. Theresa thanks her, but she says she can't think about leaving Harmony right now. Rebecca claims that if she was in her shoes, she would want to leave Harmony for good. Rebecca leaves, and Whitney returns to get Theresa. Theresa tells Whitney that she was so wrong about Ethan and she was a fool to believe he would call off the wedding. Whitney says they should leave, but Theresa refuses to leave until she talks to Ethan first.
Ivy tells Sam that there is something that she must tell him. Sam tells Ivy that he is not interested in what she has to say. Pilar sees them talking and says that she can't let Ivy tell Sam the truth. Sam says he is leaving, but Ivy begs him to wait. Meanwhile, Pilar finds Ethan and convinces him to go see Ivy because she is feeling a little down tonight. She also urges Ethan to marry Gwen because if he breaks the wedding off, she fears what might become of her daughter. Ethan says he can't marry Gwen when he is in love with Theresa. Pilar also learns that Rebecca knows the truth about him and Theresa, and she convinced him not to tell Gwen the truth until after the party. Pilar wonders what Rebecca is up to now. Ethan goes to see his mom, and Pilar hopes that he gets to Ivy in time. Ethan finds his mother with Sam, and he wants to know what is going on, why is his mother upset? Ethan accesses Sam of doing something to his mother. Ivy asks them not to fight. Sam says he will leave them to their party. Ethan asks Ivy what is wrong, she has been acting strange all evening. Ivy says she is just thinking about his wedding day and losing him. Ethan says that she will never lose him, he will always be her son, just like he will always be the son of Julian Crane.
Later, Chad finds Ethan and warns him that Theresa is here, she saw everything, and someone told her that he was bragging to his buddies about leading Theresa on. Theresa shows up and begins to spy on Chad and Ethan. Ethan says that sounds like something his father would do. Theresa hears Ethan telling Chad that it is the Crane way to have flings and to have your way with the household help, God knows his father did. What Theresa doesn't know is that Ethan was imitating the speech his father gave to him! Theresa honestly believes Ethan was only using her, and she runs off. Rebecca sees this and smiles. She runs off before she hears Ethan say he'd never use Theresa like his father would, and he never thought of Theresa as the housekeepers daughter. Ethan says it kills him to think that Theresa believes he is using her and doesn't love her. Elsewhere, Theresa cries that her life is over.
Julian is talking to his father on the phone. Alistair is on a plane and is flying to HArmony to be there for the wedding. Julian is worried about TC, but Alistair assures Julian that the car he was driving that night will never be found. Alistair also says that he's heard that there is some type of trouble between Ethan and Gwen, but Julian says there is no trouble at all. Julian tells his father that Ethan and Gwen have been together all night dancing and kissing. Alistair has a bad feeling about all of this, and he hopes for once in his life he is wrong.
Pilar talks with Ivy later after she realizes she didn't tell Sam the truth. Ivy says she couldn't because of the animosity between Ethan and Sam, and she has no choice but to keep it for the rest of her days. Pilar hopes the secret remains hidden, but she fears that this secret will reveal itself in some disastrous way.
Eve tells TC not to get worked up over Julian, and they should probably leave. Grace tells them that they can leave as soon as they find Sam. Eve realizes that Sam could be with Ivy! Sam shows up, and he tells Grace that Ethan is a bigger jerk than he thought. Sam says he doesn't want to have anything to do with him or his family. With those words, the Bennetts and Russells leave.
Sam, Grace, Eve, and TC all go to the Bennetts and have some coffee. Grace had fun, but the others didn't. TC and Sam talk about the party, and TC vows to get the proof he needs to nail Julian for the accident which cost him his leg, and he says once he gets it, he will have to try hard not to kill Julian. Meanwhile, Grace tells Eve that something was bothering Ivy tonight, and she has this funny feeling that Ivy is about to explode.
Up on the mountains, the kids are looking for Charity. Miguel worries that a sleepwalking Charity might fall into a mine shaft, but Kay is secretly hoping that happens. At the ruins, Charity calls Tabitha a witch. The spirits tell Charity that she can save us and that she must stay on the good side. The spirits say that they must burn the witch! As Tabitha and Timmy back up, a stake suddenly shoots out of the ground, and Tabitha and Timmy are magically chained to it! Charity grabs a torch and goes to lights it when a fire begins to blaze in an old fireplace. Tabitha tries to get through to Charity and convince her not to do this. The spirits continue to urge Charity to burn Tabitha, so she tells them to shut up because she's trying to talk! Tabitha tells Charity that she doesn't want to burn her or her Timmy doll, they are friends. Charity becomes confused and screams "Stop, please stop!" The other kids hear Charity scream, and Reese says it is coming from the ruins of the old Harmony meeting house! BAck at the ruins, Charity tries to figure out what to do. Tabitha tells Charity not to do it, good girls don't play with fire! Charity goes to light the torch, but everything vanishes! The torch, the fire, the spirits, and the stake and chains are gone! The kids show up and find Charity, who has fainted, with Tabitha. Tabitha says that she was out stargazing and followed Charity when she went sleepwalking to make sure she was okay. Charity begins to come to and seems to remember nothing. However, when she looks at Tabitha, she begins screaming that Tabitha is a witch! Charity claims she saw Tabitha being burned at the stake, she is an evil witch! Tabitha tells Charity that she must have had a nightmare, and she must have been dreaming about her ghost story. Charity thinks it over, and Miguel agrees with Tabitha. Charity says it just seemed so real. Reese suggests they all head back to camp and get some sleep. The kids leave, and Tabitha starts yelling at the spirits that she will get her revenge! The spirits start chanting "the box, the box, give us the box!" Tabitha tells them that the cannot have that! Timmy asks what box that they are talking about? Tabitha says that they want something that the brats must never find or it will be over for all of them! Tabitha says the demons also want the box kept hidden, which is why they have to get the pendant back on Charity because they have the powers to make sure it stays hidden!
The kids return to camp and go to sleep. After they are asleep, Tabitha orders Timmy to go over and get the pendant out of Reese's sleeping bag. Timmy doesn't want to, but Tabitha forces him to. Timmy goes towards Reese, but Reese is dreaming about Kay and grabs poor Timmy! Reese finally rolls over, and Timmy grabs the pendant. As he is running away, Reese wakes up and sees Timmy! He screams "Tabitha's doll is alive!"
Tabitha wakes up Kay and talks to her about Miguel. Tabitha urges her to take Miguel on a moon-lit walk and tell him how she feels about him. Kay decides to take Tabitha's advice. Kay wakes Miguel up and tells him that they really need to have a talk because she needs him. She tells him that it is very important, so they go for a walk. Once they are gone, Timmy takes the pendant and puts it around Charity's neck. Charity continues to sleep, and Tabitha realizes nothing isn't going to happen tonight. Suddenly, Evil Charity wakes up and tells Tabitha that plenty is going to happen, but she and doll boy won't be around to see them because they are going to die!
In the woods, Miguel asks Kay what she wanted to tell him? Kay tells Miguel it is like a movie, the girl loves the guy, but he doesn't have a clue how she feels. She says the guy just sees her as a friend, or maybe there is another girl. Miguel tells her that he knows what she is talking about, and he feels the exact same way. Kay says this is so awesome, so she grabs him and kisses him!
At Pat's place, Pat is holding her baby in her arms and tells Luis and Sheridan that they make a great team. She then asks Luis and Sheridan to kiss one another! They says "Excuse me!" Pat says that kissing is a sure fire way to get past whatever is coming between them, so they should pucker up to one another. Luis and Sheridan look at one another, but the baby starts to cry. They are worried about him, but Pat says that the baby is fine, so they should starts smooching! She says it is obvious they are head over heels in love, so what is keeping them apart? They both says it is a long story. Luis leaves to check on the kids, and Sheridan tells Pat that it is a very complicated situation. Pat says bull, and she asks Sheridan point blank if she loves Luis? Sheridan says that whether she loves Luis is beside the point, she needs someone she can trust. Pat says that trust is important, what else does she want? Sheridan says she wants someone who is strong, confident, shoulders responsibility, someone she can count on, who will be a great father, and will love her completely. Pat says that is a tall order, but she just described Luis to a tee. Sheridan says she can't trust Luis, but Pat thinks he can be trusted. Pat says she is a pretty good judge of folks, and Luis is one of the finest men she's ever met. Pat asks Sheridan if there is anyway to get past this problem and rebuild trust? Sheridan says no. Pat says that is a shame, is she sure she made the right decision? Sheridan says she doesn't think so, but she's not sure. Meanwhile, Luis tells Pat's kids a fairytale about a princess and a cop, er a knight. In the story, the princess crashes her car, er her horse into the knights horse. He goes on to say that the two eventually went out on a date, but there was always something to stop them from getting close, her evil family. Luis says the knight saved the princess' life over and over again, but they couldn't find the magic trick to keep them together. Luis says they finally realized that there was no magic between them and they weren't meant to be together. The kids don't like Luis' fairytale very much because it didn't end happily. The baby cries, and the boys tell Luis that he has to fix the story or she won't be happy. Sheridan shows up, and asks what is going on? Joey, the boy, tells SHeridan that Luis told them a lousy story about a princess and a cop, and it didn't have a happy ending. Sheridan learns the details of the story and says that the cop made some mistakes too. The baby cries, and Joey assures her that the story will have a happy ending, RIGHT Luis! Luis says sure, the knight and the princess live happily ever after. He then looks at Sheridan and says that is the way the knight wants it.
At the Hotckiss mansion, Ivy tells Pilar that she was right to keep her from telling Sam the truth about Ethan. Pilar just wishes that she would head her advice and destroy those papers. Suddenly, Julian shows up behind them! Julian thinks they are talking about Ethan's marriage to Gwen, and he says he's never been more proud of Ethan. Ivy realizes that Julian can never find out the truth or it would destroy Ethan's life. Ivy asks Pilar to please destroy the papers. Pilar says she will.
Later, Julian dances with Gwen's sorority sisters and comes onto them, but they are oblivious. AListair calls Julian and tells him to stop hitting on the bridesmaids and watch Rebecca, he is hearing troublesome things about her. Julian says Rebecca hasn't caused any trouble. Alistair says he better be right because the Crane family stock needs the boost this wedding will bring. He tells Julian that he is responsible for making sure Rebecca doesn't muck things up. After AListair hangs up, he throws a dart at a picture of Julian!
Rebecca calls the airport to notify them that Theresa will be arriving soon and she wants to make sure that she gets a ticket to anywhere she wishes to go to as well as a generous credit line to keep her happy for a few months. Gwen approaches her mom, who asks her mom if she is having as good of a time as she is? Rebecca says she can't tell her how much fun she has had tonight.
Ethan swears to Chad that he could never use Theresa the way his father suggested. Ethan says as soon as he calls off this wedding, he will hold Theresa in his arms and tell her what she means to him. Chad tells her that he better hurry up. Ethan tells Chad that he's right, this has all gone on long enough.
Ethan finds Gwen, who is with Rebecca, and announces that he has to tell Gwen now. Rebecca tells Ethan to stop! Rebecca asks Ethan to let her tell Gwen the news because she is her daughter. However, Rebecca chickens out and says that the bridesmaids gifts are upstairs, Ethan picked them out himself. Gwen says she completely forgot, and runs upstairs to get them. Ethan asks what in the hell that was about? Rebecca says it just wasn't the right time to break Gwen's heart, so he'll have to wait until the party is over. Ethan says fine, so he orders Rebecca to end the party now!
Whitney finds Theresa crying in the garden Theresa tells Whitney that Ethan was just using her all along. Whitney helps Theresa up, and Theresa tells Whitney about the conversation she overheard between Ethan and Chad. Theresa thinks Ethan was only having fun with her before he married Gwen. Whitney tells Theresa that they have to get out of here and she isn't going back to any mansion, especially the Crane mansion. Theresa says she never wants to see Ethan again. Still, Whitney says Chad defended Ethan, but Theresa says Chad is an idiot and is lying to protect Chad. Whitney says Chad isn't exactly the most truthful person either. Whitney just didn't think Ethan was like his father. Theresa says she believed that too, but she was wrong. Theresa yells that Ethan used her and then threw her away.
Theresa and Whitney go home, and Whitney tells Theresa that she will find someone else, someone down to earth. As Whitney talks, Theresa grabs a suitcase to pack. Theresa tells Whitney that she's not staying around Harmony to find someone else, she's packing this suitcase and leaving town tonight! Theresa opens the suitcase, and inside are all the papers on Ethan! Whitney says she can't leave Harmony, she barely has enough money to get her to Boston. Theresa informs Whitney that Mrs. Hotckiss is going to pay for her to go anywhere she wants to. Whitney wonders why Rebecca would do something like that? Theresa knows she isn't doing this out of the goodness of her heart, she probably is just trying to avoid a scene at the wedding. Theresa says she is leaving, so Whitney threatens to tell Luis the truth if she doesn't stay here in Harmony. Suddenly, Ethan calls Theresa and leaves a message on her machine. He says he has been trying to reach her all night, he has so much to tell her. Theresa thinks that perhaps Ethan does love her, but then she hears Gwen and the girls raving about the wonderful bridesmaid gifts he picked out. They all start singing one of their ridiculous "Ethan and Gwen, together forever" songs. Ethan ends up hanging up the phone, and Theresa realizes once again she is wrong about him. Theresa thinks Ethan called to have more fun at her expense. Whitney tells Theresa that running away isn't the answer, and she will rat her out. Theresa agrees not to leave Harmony. Whitney tries to convince Theresa to go with her for some ice cream, but Theresa claims she is tired and just wants to go to bed. Theresa starts ripping the pictures of Ethan off of her wall. She swears that no man will ever use her again! Whitney leaves, and Theresa says she just can't stay in Harmony. Theresa finally sees the papers in the suitcase, and realizes they are the papers her mom was hiding about Ethan. Theresa tells herself that they don't matter anymore, but her curiosity gets the better of her. She sees Ethan's birth certificate, baby pictures, and then a letter to Sam! Theresa opens the letter and sees a picture of Sam when he was younger and it says on the back "Ethan's father." Theresa realizes that Ethan is not a Crane, he is a Bennett!
Back at the Hotckiss mansion, a furious Rebecca tells Ivy that Ethan is going to call off the wedding because he has fallen in love with Theresa!
Back at camp, Evil Charity plans to kill Tabitha and Timmy because they are worthless. Tabitha begs for another chance, and Timmy points out that they did bring her the pendant. Charity thanks them for that, but says it was a stupid move on their part. She says they are always screwing things up and it is time to get rid of them. Evil Charity raises her hands, and Timmy says goodbye to his princess. Tabitha remembers the spirits of the goody-goodies and tells Evil Charity that she doesn't want them to win. Evil Charity says they don't want them to win, and she was supposed to take care of them, but she screwed that up too! Tabitha tells Evil Charity fine, if she wants to destroy them then she should go ahead and do so, but she shouldn't forget about the box! That stops Evil Charity dead in her tracks, and she wants to know where the box is. Tabitha says she doesn't know, but it is somewhere hidden in the old Harmony ruins. Evil Charity says if that box is found it will mean the end of evil in Harmony! Timmy asks Tabitha to tell him what is in the box or he is going to die! Tabitha says that it is like the box from Raiders of the Lost Ark, it contains everything that is good and can destroy evil. Evil Charity realize they must get rid of Miguel because only then can they get rid of the good Charity. Suddenly, Good Charity begins to fight the influence of the pendant. She refuses to let them hurt Miguel. Charity starts trying to purge the evil out of her body, and she hears the angel urging her to fight evil. Evil and good battle one another inside Charity, and Tabitha urges the Evil Charity to go to the mine shaft. Evil Charity says that she will and asks Tabitha to send Miguel there and she should push him in! Evil Charity takes off, and Tabitha sends a worried Miguel after her.
Miguel calls out to Charity, and the Evil Charity says in a weak little voice "Miguel, I'm here, I'm lost, paleese help me!" Miguel says he can hear her and tells her to stay where she is because he is coming. From the bushes, Evil Charity conjures up a wind storm, which causes Miguel to back up. He doesn't realize that there is a huge mine shaft behind him! Suddenly, Miguel falls into the shaft! Evil Charity smiles like a Cheshire cat!
At the party, Alistair warns Julian that if anything happens to cause the cancellation of the wedding the consequences will be dire! Meanwhile, Rebecca tells Ivy that Ethan is calling off the wedding because he has falling for her housekeeper's gold digging daughter! Ivy refuses to believe a word of this, but Rebecca says it is all true. Ivy says this simply isn't Ethan, he doesn't behave this way. Rebecca asks why she would lie? Ivy says she isn't accusing her of lying, but she has had some misconceptions about THeresa. Rebecca yells "Misconceptions my BUTT!" Rebecca begs Ivy to stop Ethan from doing this, she can't let Ethan hurt Gwen. Ivy gets an evil look and says if what she says is true, she will never allow it! Rebecca tells Ivy that if she doesn't believe her, look at Pilar. Ivy looks at Pilar, who turns her head away. Ivy realizes it is true. Julian shows up, so Ivy tells Rebecca to tell Julian because she has to talk to Pilar. Ivy storms off, and Julian says that his father is on his way to Harmony and is pleased with the way things are going. Rebecca says that he will be ecstatic to learn there may not be a wedding at all! Julian learns of Ethan's plans and thinks Ethan has lost his mind! Alistair calls Julian back and is furious to learn that Ethan has called off the wedding. Rebecca grabs the phone and tells Alistair that this entire fiasco is Julian's fault for encouraging Ethan to sleep with the little tramp! Alistair asks where Theresa is now? Rebecca hopes she is on her way out of the country because she made arrangements to have a ticket and a substantial amount of cash waiting for her at the airport. Alistair is pleased and likes Rebecca's style. Rebecca puts Julian back on the phone, and Alistair warns Julian to make this wedding happen or he will lose more than the Crane Empire.
Elsewhere, Ivy asks Pilar to tell her this isn't true. Pilar says it is, and this isn't all Theresa's fault because is was Ethan's choice to break off the wedding. Ivy says Ethan may not be a Crane by blood, but he will fulfill his obligations and walk down that isle tomorrow and marry Gwen, as God as her witness it will happen! Pilar says that she never wanted her children involved with her family, which pleases Ivy. Ivy orders Pilar to go home and destroy the papers on Ethan's paternity because she can let nothing stop this wedding! Sam shows up, and Pilar offers to get Ivy a sedative. Sam thinks that is a good idea because Ivy is obviously very stressed out. Sam decides to leave, but before he goes, Ivy asks him to stop arguing with Ethan. Sam says he thought Ethan was a different person, but he sees now that he is a Crane. Sam tells Ivy that in spite of their difference he does wish her a happy day tomorrow. Ivy begs Sam for a kiss on the cheek for old times sake, so he gives her one and says good night.
Ethan sees Gwen and decides it is time to tell her the truth. As he is about to tell her, Sam shows up and interrupts. He apologizes, but says his wife realized after they got home that she lost a pearl earring. Ethan is very snotty and says if they find it they will let him know, it's not like they are going to keep it. Sam is insulted, but Gwen plays peace keeper between the two. Suddenly, Gwen's sisters drag Gwen away because she's spent enough time with Ethan as is. Ethan tells Sam that he has a real talent for screwing things up. Sam asks him what is wrong with him, why is he getting in his face? Ethan asks Sam if he'd like to line everyone up to be frisked? Sam tells Ethan to forget it, and he hopes his future wife knows what she's getting herself into. Later, Gwen finds Ethan and suggests Ethan sneak into her room later tonight and they can talk all night. Ethan says it can't wait until later, he must tell what he has to tell her right now. Unfortunately, Rebecca and Julian interrupt, and Julian tells Ethan that they must speak about his grandfather. Gwen excuses herself, and Julian yells at Ethan. He tells him that he must be out of this mind, if he calls off this wedding it will break his mother's heart and give his grandfather a stroke! Rebecca adds "What about my poor Gwen, she might kill herself!" Alistair calls Julian, who puts Ethan on the phone. Alistair tells Ethan that he must marry Gwen because he has obligations to this family, unless he doesn't want to be a Crane anymore. Ethan says of course he wants to be a Crane, he is a Crane! Alistair tells Ethan to do the right thing, otherwise he'll disown him! Ethan says he doesn't appreciate being threatened. Alistair says he's just stating the facts, and asks if he is willing to give all of this up for Theresa? Ivy shows up in tears and begs Ethan to forget Theresa and marry Gwen!
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald house, THeresa finds the paper on Ethan in the suitcase and realizes that Ethan is Sam Bennett's son. Theresa says "Wouldn't they be surprised, the Cranes who think Ethan is too high and mighty to be with her." Theresa says she should hate Ethan for leading her on, but she doesn't. Theresa says she hates the Cranes, and that Luis was right about them. Theresa thinks Mrs. Crane used Ethan for her own purposes, if only Ethan hadn't been brought up as a Crane. Theresa says if he was just Ethan then there would be no Gwen Hotckiss in his life. Theresa breaks open her computer and scans the papers into them. As she does so, she wonders why Ivy would give up Sam Bennett and force Ethan to be someone he is not? She says she is not going to take this lying down, she is going to tell everyone that Ethan is Sam Bennett's son! Later, Theresa paces around with the letter and thinks fate has come to her rescue. She dials up Grace and asks her if Sam is home. Grace says he isn't home, so she says she'll call back again. Theresa decides to do better than call back, she decides to change and go wait for him. Suddenly, Sam shows up looking for Luis!
