Orville sees Chad and recognizes him. When he tries to tell him something, Eve tells them all to get out because Orville must remain calm. After they are gone, Orville begs Eve not to kill him because he won't tell. Eve has a needle in her hand and she tells Orville this is for the best, and injects something into his IV. Back out in the waiting room, Whitney tells Simone about Chad's birthmark. Simone can't believe Whitney saw Chad's butt and asks her to describe his butt to her. She says she can't believe she missed seeing Chad's perfect butt. Orville asks Eve if he can talk to Orville, but she refuses. Eve leaves, and the nurse tells Eve that the patient is asking to see the young man. Eve goes back to see Orville and gives him some more medication. Orville keeps calling out Chad's name, and she tells the nurses that Orville is just confused. A nurse asks Eve, who is giving him a shot, if he needs that heavy of a dose? Eve says she knows what she is doing. Eve tells Orville not to talk, he shouldn't fight it. Orville says he doesn't want to die because he's got a secret to tell.

At Tabitha's place, Timmy is busy typing up Tabitha's pageant script on her typewriter. Tabitha returns after she accomplishes her latest mission, spiking the school's drama teacher's food to make her sick for the entire week. Timmy tells Tabitha that she needs to get a computer, and improve her handwriting. Tabitha tells him to hurry up, she needs the new script and cast list to get on with her plan. Timmy asks her what her plan is? Tabitha is planning to put on her own school pageant, one in which Charity dies! Timmy tells his princess that she has a very creative, but sick, mind. Timmy eventually finishes typing Tabitha's script, but says the ending is a downer. Tabitha says she could rewrite it so that he dies and Charity lives, but Timmy tells her to stick to the original. Tabitha tells him that they have to hurry over to the auditorium and switch her cast list and script with Mrs. Crumps.
At the high school, Sam, TC, Eve, and Pilar are working with the kids to get the theater ready for the pageant. Everyone is puzzled as to why Mrs. Crump hasn't shown up with the script and cast list. Pilar pulls Hank aside to speak to him about Luis and Sheridan's latest argument. Hank tells her that Sheridan was going to go to New Mexico to find her husband for her, but Luis didn't want her to get involved. TC and Sam become upset when they overhear Eve tell Hank that the Crane's donated all the material to the pageant this year. Hank tells Sam that his beef with the Cranes is that they took some of their family's farmlands a long time ago. Sam informs Hank that they stole their land. However, Hank says lately he's getting the feeling that his grudge against the Cranes comes for something a little more recent and personal. Sam tells his brother that he doesn't know what he's talking about. Hank asks TC what his beef with the Cranes is? TC says that everyone in this town has issues with the Cranes, and he suggests that they return to building the set. TC hurts his knee, so he decides to take a walk. Grace calls Mrs. Crump and learns she has food poisoning. She tells Eve to take over the pageant for her, and that the script and cast list are in her office.
Tabitha and Timmy show up outside of the school and locate Mrs. Crump's office. She tells Timmy that she will push him in through the window so he can switch the script and cast lists. Timmy falls through the window, and as he is replacing the list and scripts, Grace shows up outside the office! Tabitha tells Timmy to hurry up before Grace comes in. Timmy manages to change them and escape through the window in the nick of time. Grace and Kay go into the office and Kay asks if she got the lead? Grace tells her that she'll have to wait to find out with the other kids. Grace notices the window is open, so she goes to close it and sees Tabitha outside with the doll. Tabitha says she came to help with the pageant, and she brought her doll because she thinks he gets lonely at home all by himself. Grave tells her to come in, they are about to announce the cast list.
Grace goes to the auditorium and Kay wants her to announce the cast. Grace tells her to be patient, she has to organize it first. Meanwhile, TC asks Sam why his neighbor is carrying a doll around? Sam says she's batty, she's been batty since he was a kid. Ivy shows up to see the construction they're funding, and she remembered that they donated the materials for the pageant. Pilar tries to get Ivy to leave because there is nothing for her here, but she sees Sam and says there is something here that she's wanted for a long time. Grace tells everyone to gather around, she's ready to announce the cast list. Miguel gets the part of the leading man, Reese is the constable, Jessica is townsperson number 1, and townsperson number 2 is Kay. Kay is shocked, when the part of the witch, the leading lady, goes to Charity. Charity says she doesn't want to be the lead, Kay was so much better. Tabitha tells her that she has to do it, but Charity doesn't think she deserves it or could do it. Miguel and Jessica tell her that Mrs. Crump obviously thought she deserved it. Charity doesn't know, so she asks Kay to decide. Kay gives Charity the part because she knows it is what Miguel wants. He hugs Kay and tells her that she's so great. Tabitha tells Timmy that Kay may be mad now, but in the end she will be glad Charity got the leading role. Tabitha thinks that she will finally be rid of the entire Standish clan once and for all!

A spying Tabitha plans to make Kay's wish come true. Miguel finds Kay and thanks her for giving Charity the lead and that he owes his buddy big time. When TC tells Sam that Ivy is here, Sam says he wishes she'd leave. Pilar tells Ivy that she should go before she causes more trouble. Ivy says she knows she should leave, but her heart tells her to stay. Pilar counsels her to once again keep the past in the past where it belongs for everyone's sake. Grace approaches Ivy and tells her that she'd really like to have her and her husband over to her place for dinner. Ivy says she'd like that very much. When Reese shows up with copies of the play, Grace asks Sam to keep Ivy company while she hands out the script. Ivy and Sam reminisce about a past Thanksgiving during which Ivy made a wish over a wishbone. She tells Sam that her wish may still come true, but he tells her that the past belongs in the past, and walks off.
Tabitha helps the kids by giving them pointers as to what it was really like three hundred years ago. When Reese comments that these costumes are so authentic that he feels like they are there, Tabitha says perhaps they all were. We see a flashback of Tabitha's witch trial, Timmy is defending her, and Charity is the prosecutor. Kay is busy looking in a mirror, and her mother tells her to put that a way for shame! Jessica tells her sister that she will never gain Miguel's admiration, he looks only to their cousin Prudence (Charity) for love. The jury finds Tabitha guilty and sentences her to death by fire. Tabitha is burned at the stake, but vows to have revenge on all the Standish clan by dooming them all to death by fire. Timmy tells Tabitha that he tried to help her, but levitating the jury didn't help her case. Tabitha returns to the present and vows to make good on her threat, even if it has taken three hundred years! After everyone receives copies of the script, they read through them and find Tabitha's changed very odd. Charity exclaims that she can't do this, her character is supposed to be burned at the stake! Everyone, especially Kay, agree that Charity shouldn't have to play the part because of the whole fire ordeal. Charity thinks she's causing a fuss, so she decides to take a minute alone to think over the part. Kay thinks she's going to get to play the lead after all. Sam tells Grace that they're almost finished painting the set and asks if there is anything he can do? Grace asks him to get a box of props out of the storage closet for her. Sam goes into the store room and is later joined by Ivy. Ivy tells Sam that he once promised her that he'd always love her, and she wants to know if he meant it.
Elsewhere, Tabitha talks with Charity and tells her that it's such a shame she won't be playing the lead. Tabitha tells Charity how proud her family would have been if she played the role, especially her aunt. Charity doesn't want to disappoint her aunt. Timmy tells Tabitha that she's good, he almost wanted to play the part so that Grace wouldn't be disappointed. Charity eventually tells her aunt Grace that she wants to play the part because the fire will be fake. The kids begin to rehearse the play. Charity is tied to the stake and is telling them that she has done nothing wrong, but Kay tells her that her words are meaningless and she must be banished for all eternity. Miguel and Kay eventually end up fighting over Charity, who is to be burned at the stake for witchcraft. Kay asks to be handed the torch, and Miguel assures Charity that they won't be using real fire. Underneath the stage, Tabitha prepares to roast Charity.
