Up above near the entrance to the mine, Chad accuses Whitney of being afraid of her feelings for him, but Whitney says that isn't the case. She claims the only reason she kissed him was because she felt sorry for him. He refuses to believe her and claims she is making up this stuff about Tiffany as a way to try and justify her fears.
In the woods, Sheridan asks Hank if he is trying to kill her? He looks at her with hate, and she begins to become frightened. Sheridan eventually thinks that she has mixed up the warning the spirits gave her, and that Hank is the one hurting because she has found Luis. Sheridan tells Hank that she wants them to be friends still. When Luis walks by looking for Sheridan, Hank grabs SHeridan and hides her behind a tree, claiming he was afraid for her. She says she is fine, and he decides to go see who is walking around. Hank leaves Sheridan and meets back up with Pierre, who urges Hank to kill her. Hank picks up the gun and aims it at Sheridan. He says he's lost her to Luis, what else does he have to lose?
In Hecuba's cave, Hecuba shows Julian an image of Ivy and Sam making love in her mirror. He is furious and vows to destroy them. Hecuba says she has another secret to show him, but perhaps it is best that he find it out on his own, and she says he will find it out soon. Hecuba disappears, and Julian begins to stuff Hecuba's goodies into his pockets. He reasons that this cave is on Crane property, and she is squatting, so this is all his anyways.
Back up above, Ivy believes Sam is dead, so she thinks that she and Sam can continue their relationship. Sam says that he is a one woman man, and he refuses to have Ivy as a mistress. Ivy refuses to give up, so she pulls Sam into a kiss. Eve and Pilar watch and can't believe what Ivy is doing. Suddenly, Grace returns! She sees Sam and Ivy together and asks what is going on here? Ivy covers and claims that she was very afraid of losing Julian and what would become of her life, and Sam was just convincing her that Julian would be fine as would everyone else. Grace believes Ivy's lie, and thinks Sam is so sweet. Later, as Pilar warns Ivy that she is letting her emotions for Sam show, Julian calls up Ivy and tells her that he knows all about her and Sam!
As the grownups gather and try to figure out how to save everyone, they spot the fireball in the sky and realizing it is headed straight towards them!
At the mansion, Ethan decides that the only thing he can do is stay single, because he can't decide whether to marry Gwen or Theresa. However, Gwen says has a better idea that will solve all their problems.
Up near the mine, Pilar tells Ivy that if she doesn't stop staring at Sam, someone will notice that she is in love with him. Ivy tells Pilar not to be silly because no one suspects a thing. Suddenly, Julian calls up Ivy and calls her a deceitful slut. He tells her that he knows she and Sam are lovers, and that he will destroy her for deceiving him! Ivy tells Julian that he doesn't know what he is talking about, and she asks him where he is? Julian says he's calling from the mine, and when he gets out of here she is next to get the shaft. Ivy and Pilar see the fireball, and Ivy shouts "We're all going to die!" Julian tells her not all of them, just her. Ivy tells Julian about the fireball, but Julian doesn't believe her. Pilar says it is true, but Julian refuses to believe Pilar either because she probably knows all about Ivy and Chief Bennett. Ivy says there is nothing going on between her and Chief Bennett, the man means nothing to her. Julian knows she is lying and that she has loved him since before they were married. Julian threatens to divorce Ivy and cut her off, and he will also make sure that Sam won't be able to get a job at a rest-stop! The fireball begins to interfere with the phone, and they are cut off. Pilar says they need to go, but Ivy says she might as well die now that Julian knows about her and Sam.
Near the old ruins, as Sheridan notices the fireball, Hank takes aim at Sheridan. Sheridan screams for Hank, and Hank wonders why Sheridan is turning red. Hank looks around, and the notices the fireball. Hank hands his gun to Pierre and runs for it. Hank goes to Sheridan, and Hank tells her that if that things hits anywhere near them then they will all die. Sheridan says if she has to die then she wants to die with Luis. Meanwhile, Luis searches for Sheridan, and finally finds her. Luis and Sheridan run off, and Pierre grabs Hank. Pierre asks what is going on, why is his complexion so red? Hank tells him that for someone who is used to keeping an eye on thinks, he's not being very observant here. Hank points out the fireball to him, and he yells "We are finis!" Hank catches up with Luis and Sheridan, and Sheridan is hoping the spirits will appear to them and help them. Luis thinks Sheridan has lost it, but Sheridan says they were warning her abut the fireball, she knows that now. Luis refuses to believe this is the end for them, it just can't be. As they cuddle, Hank's blood boils, and it's not the fireball doing it to him! Luis tells Sheridan that her story about the spirits is going to have to wait because that fireball is growing closer. Sheridan says it is not a story, the spirits said she was going to die. Luis says she won't die as long as he and Hank are protecting her, and that they have to get down to the mine right now.
Sam, Grace, and the others notice the fireball heading straight for them. Sam finds TC and tells him and everyone else that there only hope is to round everyone up and get into the mine. TC says he's worried about Simone, he hasn't seen her for some time. Sam and TC go to find Simone, and Whitney cries to Chad that if she dies tonight, she regrets holding back her feelings, she regrets that she never let herself give into her feelings, she regrets not resisting her parents pressuring her to always practice, and most of all she regrets never allowing herself to love a man. Chad says he thought he'd have a lot of regrets when he was facing death, but right now, he can't think of any. Chad says this whole thing reminds him of a movie he saw on TV about the aftermath of a nuclear blast. He tells Whitney that in the movie a lot of the people thought they were going to die from the radiation, so they just had sex, lots of sex, but one couple went someplace quiet and just held each other until the end. Whitney cries and asks Chad to hold her. He does, and they end up kissing. Back by the mine, Simone and Reese show up, and Simone asks her dad if they are going to die? TC tells her not if they can get into the mine. Reese disagrees and says that if the fireball doesn't cause a cave in, the heat will turn it into an inferno. Sam says that the mine is their only hope, so he orders everyone down into it. As they prepare to go into the mine, Grace feels that their only chance of surviving lies with the box. TC finds Whitney and Chad together, his yelling alerted them and Whitney had enough time to push herself away from CHad. TC tells them to get in the mine, and takes off to do other stuff. Chad can't believe that they could die and Whitney is still worried about disappointing her parents.
Sam finds Ivy and Pilar and orders them into the mine, but Ivy can't go down there because that is where Julian is! Pilar tells Sam that she will make sure Ivy goes into the mine. Pilar begs Ivy to go into the mine with her or she will throw her into the shaft! Back in the mine, Julian tries to call his father, but his phone is no longer working. Julian laughs because he finally knows something that his father doesn't. Julian then begins to think about the goodies in Hecuba's cave and how they all belong to the Cranes, and he thinks that this find will convince Alistair to reinstate him as heir. Suddenly, Julian hears Evil Charity's beams and he sees the light from the box.
Back up above, everyone begins to climb into the hole Julian fell into in order to escape the fireball. They drop a really long ladder down the hole, but it isn't long enough. They decide to tie the ladder to something and climb down as far as they can, and then jump. They begin descending into the mine by age/sex.
In the mine, Evil Charity shoots beams of light up into the sky in order to power the fireball heading for Harmony. Evil CHarity tells Miguel and Kay that when this fireball hits Harmony it will erase the town and everything in it! Miguel thinks if he could break free of the invisible wall Charity has trapped them behind then he could help her. Kay says there is nothing he can do, she is possessed by pure evil! Meanwhile, Tabitha tells timmy that she should be celebrating the death of her enemies, but once Evil Charity kills them, they are next on her hit list. Back in the mine cart where Miguel and Kay are trapped, Miguel hears Timmy talking to Tabitha about the magic box, so he tells Kay that they need to break out of this cart and unleash the power of the box that Tabitha's doll was talking about. Kay tells Miguel that he was unconscious, so he wouldn't know what powers the box holds, so she tells him about how Saint Michael came out of the box and stopped Charity. Both Kay and Miguel realize that only Saint Michael can stop Charity's fireball. The magic wall surrounding the minecart vanishes, so Miguel and Kay put their plan into action. Before the do so, Kay asks Miguel if he was serious before when he said he was about to ask her out before Charity showed up? Miguel tells Kay that he's always liked her, and he doesn't know what might have happened if he had never met Charity. Miguel takes off, and Kay says cousin or no cousin, Charity is going to get it so she can finally get Miguel. As Miguel tries to get to the box, Kay distracts Tabitha and Timmy by asking Tabitha why she was so mean to her before? Tabitha says that she had to in order to play along with Charity, otherwise Charity would have killed her! Kay thinks that makes sense, so she asks how Timmy came to life? Timmy wonders the same thing, and Tabitha asks Kay why she has so many questions? Kay says no reason, and then she hears someone coming down the mine shaft, possibly to rescue them. Tabitha says she doesn't seem to hear anything, so Kay claims it must have been her imagination. Kay asks Tabitha if they can just kill Charity, but she says no. Tabitha says the only way to stop Charity is to destroy the pendant she is wearing. However, Tabitha says they are powerless against Charity, only the forces of good can do that. MEanwhile, Miguel makes his way to the box and begins to open it. Kay goes over to help Miguel, and they two of them manage to open the box! Evil Charity is bathed in light and begins to suffer. Tabitha says that Charity is going to be vaporized, and Kay loves the idea of watching her cousin croak. Miguel refuses to let Charity die, but Kay tells him that he has to choose between Charity or Harmony!
Back up above, the light from the box comes out of the mineshaft, and Grace thinks it is a signal from the kids.
Near the mine, Pierre begs Hank to help him get into the mineshaft without being seen, but Hank tells him that he's on his own! Meanwhile, Luis promises Sheridan that he'll never let anything happen to her. As Reese is calculating, out loud, when the fireball will hit them, Luis tells him to shut up!
At the mine's entrance, Simone is the first to descend into the mine. Sam realizes they are running out of time, so he thinks that others should start going down by rope. Whitney is selected to go first, and Chad tells her to be careful. Elsewhere, Ivy decides that if she is going to die then she wants to kiss Sam one last time before she dies! Ivy runs up to Sam and wants to talk to him, but he tells her not now! Suddenly, the earth begins to shake as the fireball approaches, and Simone and Whitney are in danger of falling! Everyone works and manages to pull Whitney and Simone to safety, and Chad grabs onto Whitney and exclaims that he'll never let go of her again. The entire tunnel collapses, and everyone realizes that Julian is probably dead. Ivy is relieved because now her secret is safe. Pilar tells Ivy that doesn't matter because they are all going to die when that fireball hits them! Everyone thinks that they are going to die, but the light from the box shoots out of the mine and stops the fireball. Reese thinks it is a cosmic battle, and Pilar suggests they all pray that the angels win this battle against the lost souls of the damned. Good wins out, and the fireball disintegrates. Suddenly, all the rocks blocking the shaft begin to shoot up into the air!
In the mine, Evil Charity is bathed in the light from the box. Tabitha says that the light is to strong and Evil Charity will be vaporized within a matter of seconds. Kay is happy that Charity is about to die, but Miguel wants to save her. Kay tells him that he can't, he has to let Charity die in order to save the rest of Harmony! As Charity begins to disintegrate, Miguel exclaims that he can't let her die! Miguel realizes the pendant is what is causing Charity to do these things, so if he can destroy the pendant he can save Charity. Miguel redirects the light from the box to shine only on the pendant. The pendant ends up exploding and Charity falls to the ground. Kay is NOT at all pleased by the turn of events. Charity is unconscious, and Miguel cradles her in his arms and begs her to wake up.
Elsewhere in the mine, Julian is caught in the cave in. He manages to escape down a tunnel, and runs into Timmy! Julian thinks he is hallucinating, but Timmy tells him that this is definitely real. Julian cries because he thinks he's losing his mind.
There is a huge puff of smoke, and as the mineshaft clears, Miguel, Kay, and Charity are suddenly transported out of the mineshaft! Everyone is relieved to see that they are okay. The kids don't know how they got out, so Tabitha says she led them all out. Everyone has made it out, everyone but Julian! As they talk about what happened in the shaft, everyone is horrified by Kay's claim that Charity tried to kill them all. Sam tells Kay that she doesn't know what she's saying, and Charity says she would never shoot fire at them, even if she could, which she can't. Kay tells Miguel to tell them! Charity asks if this is true? Miguel tells them that the pendant possessed her. Sam asks Tabitha what she knows about this? Tabitha says a great deal, it is all her fault! Tabitha says it is all her fault for telling them ghost stories, which caused them to dream up all of these stories. Miguel and Kay remember what was going on down there, and Kay accuses Tabitha and her doll of trying to kill them too. Kay goes on to tell them about the mirror and the cave, and Miguel says he saw it as well. Sam says there must be a logical explanation, and Luis and Reese claim they smelled gas, and Luis suggests it made them hallucinate. Miguel offers to show them the box in order to prove their story, but Tabitha doesn't think they should go back down there. Sam says that nobody is going anywhere, at least not until morning. Suddenly, Julian turns up and begins to moan about Sam. Grace tells Sam to go see what he wants, so he approaches Julian. Ivy tells Julian not to try and talk because he's too weak. Julian calls Ivy a tramp, which shocks Grace. Ivy tries to get Eve to help her out. Eve doesn't care what happens to Ivy and Ethan, but she does care about Grace getting her heart broken.
Meanwhile, Charity realizes that Miguel saved Charity, and Reese thanks Miguel for saving Kay. Kay tells Simone that she doesn't care what anyone else says, she knows Charity tried to kill Miguel, and she will prove it! When Kay tells Simone that Miguel told her that they would be dating now if Charity hadn't come along, and that they kissed, Simone tells Kay that she knows she's hallucinating now! Simone says that she has bigger problems to worry about, and she tells Kay how Chad has not left Whitney's side the entire time they've been out here. Later, Miguel tells Kay that he's going back into the mine to get the box and convince everyone of what they saw.
Tabitha and Timmy begin packing up their camping gear. Tabitha tells Timmy that they still have a problem, in order for her to get her powers back Charity still has to kill Miguel! Later, Charity approaches Tabitha and thanks her for getting them out of the mine shaft. She also tells her that in spite of what Kay says, she knows that she would never hurt them. Timmy is overjoyed that his sweet Charity is back. However, Tabitha says that she won't be back for long. Tabitha says that she must get her powers back before someone finds and opens that box!
Hank runs back into Pierre, who tells Hank that he must still kill Sheridan.
At Tabitha's place, Timmy shows up for breakfast. Timmy is in a good mood because his good Charity is back. Tabitha tells Timmy once again he is not thinking straight. She tells Timmy that they have a lot to do today, first and foremost they must make sure that none of those kids go back and find that box! Timmy asks her what they are going to do? Tabitha says they will have to go to the Bennett's to see what those kids are up to, and if they are going after that box, she is going to have to take drastic measures!
At the Bennett's, Grace has another nightmare about a woman taking Sam away from her. She wakes up screaming for Sam, and Sam rushes in to comfort her. Grace tells him that she had a nightmare about a woman trying to take him away from her, but he says it is just a bad dream. She wonders why she is having this dream, and why the woman has a little boy with her. Sam suggests the gas from the mine affected her just like it affected Kay. However, Grace isn't sure Kay's story isn't all false, and she tells him about the premonition she had about the box.
Downstairs, Jessica and Kay argue about what Kay claims she saw in the mine shaft. Jessica refuses to believe Kay's story, and Simone thinks it was the gas link which caused her to hallucinate. Kay tells them both to shut up because everything she said happened did, and that is why Miguel is going down to the mineshaft to get the box. Charity tells Miguel that he didn't tell her he was going to do that. Kay tells Charity that perhaps Miguel doesn't tell her everything. Kay asks Miguel if he's still going to go after the box, but Miguel no longer knows. Kay is furious and says she is not going to forget that CHarity's eyes were as big as Florida oranges or that her voice sounded like Freddy Krueger. Miguel scolds Kay for scaring Charity. Kay can't believe that he is worried about someone who tried to kill him less than twenty-four hours ago! Tabitha shows up and spies on the kids through the window as Kay tries to convince Miguel to go after the box. Timmy thinks that if they find the box, and everyone realizes he is alive, then he'll be able to write his best selling book! Tabitha tells Timmy that he is several sandwiches short of a picnic basket, that box will destroy them before he can plug in his word processor! Kay tells Miguel about how he told her that they would have been together if it weren't for Charity, the kiss they shared, and running into Julian Crane. Miguel remembers all of it, so Kay tells him that it must have been real if they both remember the same thing. Sam shows up, and talks with Charity about last night. He tells her not to think about what they are saying, and he hopes they don't go back into the mine and get the box. Miguel confronts Sam about how odd it is that he and Kay have hallucinated the same thing. Reese says that one of them must have hallucinated, and the other one heard the other talking in their sleep. Sam thinks it is possible, and then he decides to go check on Julian. Grace is worried about him, so she decides to come with him. Meanwhile, Charity overhears Miguel and Kay planning to go back to the mineshaft, and she thinks the only reason Miguel would go back there is because he believes she tried to kill him. Miguel tells her that he knows she'd never try and hurt him intentionally, and they get some breakfast. Kay begins to wonder how she can prove what occurred in the mine actually did. Suddenly, up in Kay's bedroom, the crystal she stole from Hecuba magically appears! Hecuba's voice says "Here's your proof Kay, come and get it, I'm waiting!"
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald's, Whitney drops by to see Theresa and tell her that Chad saved her life, again. Whitney looks around and asks what happened to her house? Theresa says that Gwen came over with a baseball bat, and even though she almost died, they all decided to work things out like adults. Whitney tells Theresa that if she believes Gwen is going to behave rationally about all of this then she must have been dropped on her head as a baby! Theresa explains the whole story to Whitney. Whitney asks her if this plan of Gwen's is a joke? Theresa says it isn't, so Whitney says this is very sick! Pilar shows up and adds "And very dangerous!" Pilar warns her that Gwen and her mother won't stop until they destroy her. However, Theresa actually believes that Gwen is over her anger. Pilar tries to convince her that this will lead to no good, and that love cannot protect her from everything. Pilar has to go to work, and Theresa says she needs to go to. Pilar tells Theresa that Ivy Crane won't let her keep her job, but Theresa knows that Ethan won't let his mom fire her. Theresa tells her mom not to worry about her, and that she'll see her later. Whitney doesn't think this is such a good idea, but Theresa says she must spend every moment she can with Ethan, especially since Gwen has the first date with him. She says she can't wait to see the look on Gwen's face when she shows up to pick up Ethan and sees her there too!
At Gwen's house, Gwen, who is in a red night gown and wearing her veil, takes a pair of scissors and begins to stab her wedding dress! Rebecca shows up and tells Gwen to stop this because it won't help anything! She tells Gwen that she has to get a hold of herself if she wants Ethan to marry her. Gwen doesn't think he will marry her, but Rebecca assures her that he will. Rebecca tells her that they do not give up, and she needs to get ready for her date with Ethan tonight. She encourages Gwen to give Ethan a call and prep him for the day. Gwen calls Ethan, who has just gotten out of the shower, and tells him that she just wanted to call and tell him how excited she is about their date. Ethan asks her how she's doing, and she claims she is just fine. Gwen says she will plan their day together, but it will be a surprise so she won't give him any details. Ethan says that sounds great, and that he'll see her later.
At the mansion, Julian is lying in bed and is mumbling about Sam and Ivy still. Ivy calls Eve over to look at Julian, but Eve wonders why Ivy woke her up when she could have had one of the Crane doctors look at Julian? When Julian calls Ivy a slut, in his sleep, Ivy tells Eve that is why! She tells Eve that she can't take the risk of Julian blurting out her secret to another doctor. Ivy knows Eve doesn't care about her or Ethan, so she asks her to do this for Grace. Eve doesn't understand how Julian found out the truth. Ivy says it is almost as if someone told him. Eve says it is possible, but Ivy doubts that and thinks she has been hanging out with the emotionally unstable Bennett woman too much lately. Eve says she is no longer the skeptic she used to be about people with special powers. Ivy refuses to believe in mumbo jumbo, she believes in reality. Ivy says that no one must learn about her and Sam, Ethan must never hear what Julian is saying! Suddenly, Ethan walks into the room and asks what he is not allowed to hear? Ivy says that Julian has just been rambling about how today is his wedding day and he needs to get up and get dressed, and she was afraid that he would feel guilty. Julian begins to mumble Ivy's name, and Ethan thinks he's trying to tell them something. Julian continues to growl Ivy's name, and Ivy begs Eve to help her. Eve tells Ethan that Julian needs his rest, so he agrees to come back later. Ethan asks his mother for a word, so they go out into the hall. Ethan wants to discuss Theresa, but Ivy rather not discuss the woman who ruined his wedding. Ethan defends Theresa and says that it is not her fault that he didn't marry Gwen, it is no one's fault. Ethan tells his mom that he doesn't want to argue with her, he just wants to make sure that he doesn't fire Theresa. Ivy says it is the first thing on her to-do list today! Ethan asks him mother not to because this isn't her fault, and even if he ends up marrying Gwen . . . Ivy asks him if there is still a chance that he might marry Gwen? Ethan says they are working things out, and no one knows what will happen. Ivy agrees not to fire Theresa, but says that if he doesn't marry Gwen he will be making a disastrous mistake! Pilar shows up out of the blue and agrees with Ivy. Ethan asks Pilar why she would want him to marry Gwen and not Theresa? Pilar tells Ethan that he and Theresa haven't thought about the reality of them marrying and what they will have to face. Ivy tells Ethan that Pilar knows what she is talking about. Ethan can't believe that neither of them are supporting their children. Pilar says she is trying to prevent her daughter from a life of heartache. Ethan says he can't talk to either of them right now and storms out.
Ethan goes downstairs and runs into Theresa and Whitney. Ethan tells Theresa that her job is safe, and she thanks him with a hug. Suddenly, Gwen shows up to pick up Ethan. She grabs Ethan after he answers the door and pulls him into a kiss. After the kiss Gwen sees Theresa and Whitney. Ethan runs up and gets his jacket, and Gwen tells Theresa to eat her heart out! Gwen informs Theresa that she is taking Ethan out to the country club for their date. She asks Theresa where she is taking Ethan for their date, and adds that it is too bad she burnt down that greasy burger joint last year! Ethan returns, and he and Gwen leave.
Back upstairs, Julian is acting like the exorcist and moaning "Ivy is a sluuuuuuuut!" Ivy asks Eve to give Julian a sedative, but Eve says he has a conscious, they can't give him a sedative! Julian sits up and tells Ivy that he saw her and Sam making love, but Ivy says he most certainly did not! Julian collapses, and Ivy says if anyone hears this it would be a disaster!
Theresa worries to Whitney she may yet loose Ethan to Gwen thanks to Gwens plan for Ethan to date both women. Against Whitneys judgement, both girls head to the county club to spy on Ethan and Gwens date. At the club, Gwen plots to win back Ethan by having their friends help her remind him of their long history together. Ethan and Gwen grow close while remembering the past. Theresa arrives and is upset at how close Ethan and Gwen appear. At the Crane mansion, Ivy worries about Julians ramblings concerning her and Sams past. Ivy, Eve and Pilar theorize about how Julian could've learned about Sam and Ivys affair down in the mines. Just then, Grace and Sam enter the room. Tabitha and Timmy worry about the teens heading back to the mines to find the magic box, while Kay insists everything she remembers really happened. Meanwhile, the diamond she took from Hecuba glows in her room and Hecubas face appears in it. Miguel tells Reese he is going back to the mines to make sure what happened to Charity doesnt happen again. Tabitha vows to stop him and makes light of what Kay and Miguel claim to have seen. But Kay hears Hecubas voice telling her to go to her room for the proof she desires. Later, the teens catch Tabitha and Timmy talking to each other!
