In Hecuba's cave, Hecuba summons Tabitha and Timmy because she says it is no fun partying alone. Tabitha and Timmy have their doubts that Charity is dead, and Hecuba becomes upset when they become party poopers.
At the Book Cafe, we are lead to believe that Luis has spotted the Crane security card that Theresa attempted to pay for her muffins with, but he really just saw a sweepstakes entry for a vacation for two. Luis goes to enter it, which upsets Beth. Beth tells Luis that she is happy for him, and then runs off. Theresa decides to enter it as well for the chance at giving Ethan a wonderful honeymoon. Meanwhile, Ethan talks to Sheridan about the Crane security card he threw away. He tells her that even if he did still have it, he doesn't know if he'd give it to her. Sheridan is not pleased, but Ethan says Alistair and Julian must have some reason for wanting to keep her out of the archives, and he doesn't want her to be disowned by the family as well. Later, Theresa talks with Ethan about the whole security card issue with Sheridan. Theresa tells Ethan that she retrieved his card for him in case he wanted it later on, and she asks him if he wants to give it to her?
Meanwhile, Chad talks with Whitney about his search for his parents, and how he's beginning to think it is best he not know the truth after what happened to Ethan. Whitney says the situations are very different, but Chad says he doesn't know if he could take being rejected by his family twice. Later, Eve shows up and tells Chad that his DNA test results are in!
Julian is outside the cafe and sees the delicious Dr. Russell inside, and decides to drop in for a visit. Back inside, Luis is bummed that he's hit another dead end in his search for his father. Meanwhile, Theresa tells Ethan that she has the card still, so he can give it to Sheridan now. However, Ethan thinks it is best that they destroy the card because that is the only way to keep Sheridan safe from Julian and Alistair. As they are leaving with the card, Sheridan sees the card and is thrilled. Luis says now they can find out what happened to his father, and both Luis and Sheridan tell Theresa "nice job" when they learn she retrieved the card. Sheridan says now that they have the card, they can't let Julian learn about it. Suddenly, Julian pops out of nowhere and asks "learn about what?" When Ethan opens his mouth, Julian tells him this is a family matter and doesn't concern him. Sheridan tells Julian that she was only going to loan Ethan some money, but he turned her down. Julian scolds her for handing out money to the town people and fraternizing with the locals. Julian leaves, and Sheridan tells Ethan that she's so sorry for Julian the ass. Ethan still respects him, and that is why he can't give Sheridan the card. Sheridan is not happy about this at all, but Ethan tells her that he doesn't want her to be disowned as well, and that might happen if she disobeys Julian and Alistair. Sheridan wants to take her chances, but Ethan doesn't want her to risk everything. Luis agrees with Ethan and tells Sheridan not to do it. Sheridan tells Ethan how much this means to her, and why she feels the need to do it. She begs Ethan to give her the security card. Ethan eventually gives her the card, but he doesn't think she should use it. Sheridan thanks Ethan for his concern, and tells Luis that they should go to the archives right away. Theresa can't believe they may actually find out what happened to her father, but Ethan can't help but think something bad is going to happen.
Eve goes looking for a book, and Julian approaches her from behind and kisses her neck. Eve tells him to take his hands off her body or she'll . . . Julian knows Eve won't scream with Whitney here. Eve tells Julian that being with him was the biggest mistake of her life that has caused her unspeakable pain. Eve says there isn't a day that goes by that she doesn't think of their son. Julian tells Eve that he has lost two sons, Ethan and their baby. However, he says Cranes don't waste tears on things they can't change, and he cannot change the fact that their son is dead. Eve is touched that Julian thinks about their son, and she tells him that Ethan isn't dead and can still be his son. Julian says Ethan is a Bennett bastard and is not a Crane. Eve says she doesn't care what his last name is, he is still the son he raised, so how can he turn his back on him? Julian says every second he spent with Ethan was a lie. Eve says losing her baby was painful, but right now, she thinks it might have been for the best because he never would have accepted their child! Julian wants Eve to help him break up Luis and Sheridan, but she refuses. Eve tells him that just when she thinks he isn't completely horrible he goes and does something like this. Julian says that they will be broken up, with or without her help!
Kay approaches the mine and says she has to do this because it isn't fair that Miguel has to risk his life again for something that is her fault. Suddenly, someone grabs Kay from behind! Kay turns around, and she sees Miguel! Kay realizes how much Miguel loves Charity, and Miguel can't believe that Kay would have risked her life for Charity. Kay says this is all her fault anyways. Miguel asks her why she keeps saying that, it isn't like she helped the demons grab Charity. Miguel asks Kay why she feels so responsible? However, Miguel jumps to the conclusion that Kay just feels guilty that Charity was taken from them when she was watching her, and he says she shouldn't blame herself. Kay says whatever he says she still blames herself, so that is why she has to go with him. Miguel refuses to allow her to go with him. Kay tells him that she is going, with or without his permission. Miguel finally caves and lets her come with him.
In Hecuba's cave, Tabitha tells Timmy that she's starting to hope Miguel does rescue Charity, because if he does, their lives will be saved as well. Tabitha says if those two love birds die, they will end up at Hecuba's mercy. Hecuba returns, and Tabitha says they can have anything they would like. When Timmy wishes for some MarTimmy's, Hecuba conjures her up some. She also conjures up a meal for Tabitha. Timmy thinks this is great, but Tabitha is suspicious of Hecuba's intentions. Timmy asks Hecuba if she is going to keep them around sense she is being so nice to them? Hecuba laughs and tells them that this is their last meal, and she is definitely going to destroy them. Suddenly, Timmy sees Kay and Miguel in the mirror, and he points them out to Hecuba. Hecuba is furious and plans to send Miguel and Kay to hell to join Charity.
Miguel and Kay enter the mineshaft, and Miguel says sometimes he thinks their hallucinations were so real. He wonders if the cave even exits, but Kay knows it does. Miguel tells Kay that they have to move slowly, because they don't want to cause a cave-in. When Kay begins to think they are on the right track, the mineshaft begins to creep. Meanwhile, Hecuba casts a spell to lure the two to her lair, and then cause a cave in! Back in the mineshaft, the mine begins to collapse around Miguel and Kay!
At the Bennett's, Grace is packing stuff up when she sees a white shopping bag in the corner. Inside the bag are some baby boy clothes, and she cries when she thinks that she never got to tell anyone what his name was going to be. Grace says she wanted to call the baby Jack. Sam catches Grace up and about and he asks her why she's not resting like Eve told her to? Grace asks Sam if he really has to ask her why she's not resting when his lie has cost her everything she cares about. Sam doesn't blame her for hurting him, which she is doing, but he refuses to crawl into a hole and die because too much is at stake. Sam says he made a stupid mistake, but his love never wavered for her. Grace says that he still broke their trust, and she doesn't think she can forgive him for it. Grace says he is supposed to be the one true, upstanding man in Harmony, and he's never been true to his wife. Grace says that his lie has ruined everything! Suddenly, Jessica bursts into the room and tells her parents to please stop it! Sam apologizes for fighting with her around, but Jessica says they shouldn't be fighting at all. Jessica says they need to stick together, and that her mom needs to rest. Grace says she is right, and she will lay down. Sam and Jessica leave, and Grace continues to think about her baby. Out in the hall, Jessica asks her dad if he and her mom are going to get a divorce. Sam says of course not, so Jessica asks her dad what is going on? Sam says he wants to tell her, but they should wait until Charity is found. Sam decides to go check on Grace really quick, and he finds her crying over baby clothes. Sam decides to leave, but Grace asks him not to go. Grace asks where Jessica is? Sam says she went downstairs to be with Jessica and Simone. Sam tries to put the baby clothes away, but Grace refuses to let him take anything from her again. Grace goes through a box of old baby clothes and things that belonged to their kids, and she asks Sam if she remembers how perfect they were? Sam says he remembers. Grace becomes angry and asks Sam if he doesn't wish he could have seen Ethan when he was a baby, or held him? Sam tells Grace not to do this because she's scaring him. Grace says good, because she's been scared ever since she realized everything she's been in was a lie! Sam tells Grace that there baby died, but it's not the end of the world, and in time, maybe they can have another child. Grace tells Sam that he already has another child! Suddenly, Grace collapses!
Julian heads to Crane Industries to find Sheridan's mother's diaries and dig them out just in case Sheridan happens to break into the vault. He's talking to AListair on the phone as he's heading to the vault, and AListair is pleased that Julian is finally thinking. Alistair tells Julian not to blow this like he's blown all the other things he's done in the past. Julian becomes furious and tells his father that he's had it with his insults! Julian tells his father that he has made his family a great deal of money, but Alistair says he's lost a lot more due to his excesses, such as women, drinking, women, gambling, women. Alistair also mentions how much it cost him to send Eve through medical school so she wouldn't go public with their affair, and it is a good thing that baby died. Julian says that baby was his grandchild, but Alistair says that baby was a mistake. Alistair warns Julian if he fowls this up it could prove fatal to their family business, and to him too. Julian asks if he'd kill his own son? AListair says he'll never have to find out if he keeps Sheridan away from those diaries! Meanwhile, Sheridan and Luis reach the vault before Julian does. Unfortunately, rent-a-cops grab them for trespassing on private property and decide to call Mr. Crane. One of the cops tells them that they will be sorry when Mr. Crane hears about this, but Sheridan tells them that they are the ones who will be sorry! The cops finally realize who Sheridan is, and they apologize to her. Sheridan accepts their apology, and she says they can keep this just between them. Sheridan says that was close, but Luis tells her that they aren't out of the woods just yet! Down the hall, Luis spots Julian! As they run to hide, Sheridan drops the security card! Fortunately, Julian has to turn around to get his own security, which he left in his office. Sheridan grabs the card she dropped, and when she tries the card, it doesn't work! However, the card finally kicks in, and gives them access to the archives. once inside, Sheridan looses hope of finding the diaries when she sees how many boxes there are to go through. As they are searching, Julian returns and opens the door. Julian walks into the vault and exclaims "What the hell!"
In the mineshaft, Hecuba's spell begins to bring the cave down around Kay and Miguel. Miguel is buried under a mountain of dirt, and Kay tries to dig him out. Timmy thinks this is sick, and he tells Hecuba that she is crueler than Cruella DeVille. He thinks that she should at least let Miguel see Charity one last time to say goodbye. Hecuba thinks that is a great way of torturing them before killing them once and for all. Hecuba realizes she has to save Miguel, so she magically levitates him out of the pile of dirt. Hecuba then casts a spell so that Miguel can hear Charity's voice, and Miguel runs in the direction of Charity's screams. Kay chases after Miguel and tries to convince him that this could be a trap, but he won't listen. Suddenly, Hecuba conjures up a hall of mirrors and lures Miguel and Kay into it! Charity appears in all the mirrors, and is tied up to some type of stake. Miguel searches the maze of mirrors for Kay as Hecuba and the others watch. Hecuba says it is time for the next step of her plan. Back in the mineshaft, Miguel finds Charity, and as he is untying her from the stake, the evil returns! The demons show up , but Miguel refuses to allow them to have Charity.
At the hospital, Chad continues to wait for the computer to reveal who his parents are. Chad just hopes that nobody gets hurt like the Bennetts did when Ethan's true paternity was revealed. The search seems to be taking forever, which bothers Chad. Eve says that there are a lot of records on file that his DNA has to be compared to, so it could take awhile. Suddenly, a nurse interrupts them to tell Eve that Sam has just called about his wife, who he's bringing in to be checked out. Eve and TC leave, and Whitney stays with Chad while they wait for the computer to finish the search.
Sam and Grace arrive at the hospital, Grace is now awake, walking, and insisting she is fine. Eve, however, insists on checking her out. Grace checks out but says she does look a little tired. Sam tells Eve that Grace hasn't been resting. Eve decides to check Grace's blood pressure. Sam talks to TC about the wreck his life has become. Sam tells TC how nothing but bad things have happened to his family over the past two years, and proceeds to list them all. Sam says that Grace and Father Lonigan fear evil is out there, and he doesn't know how to fight something that is not flesh and blood. TC begins to wonder if there could be something in his families past which could haunt them. Sam tells TC not to worry, neither he nor Eve have any secrets that could harm them. As they talk about the evil, and the evil Cranes, TC admits he could kill Julian for what he did to him. Sam tells TC not to talk like that, but TC can't help it. TC says he would kill Julian if he ever got the proof that Julian end his carrier, which caused his father to die of a broken heart. BAck in the exam room, Eve tells grace that she seems to be fine, but she must let her body heal through rest. Grace tells Eve that she knows she understands, but Eve doesn't want to discuss this. Grace warns Eve that evil has come to Harmony, and deceiving TC will give evil the ability to destroy her and TC's lives. Eve says she can't do that, because TC would probably kill Julian!
Ethan and Theresa go to the hospital to get their blood test done. As they are filling out the forms, they pause at Ethan's last name. Ethan says his last name won't be Bennett, because he has no respect for Sam. Theresa tells Ethan that he does have to pick a new last name. Ethan says he knows. Theresa tells him to take the last name of someone he admires and respects. Ethan jokes that he'll name himself after Elvis Presley, but honestly he can't really focus. Theresa tells Ethan that she knows he's been feeling lost since he learned he doesn't have Crane blood in him. Suddenly, Ethan realizes what last name he wants to use. Ethan tells Theresa that he wants to use his mother's last name, Winthrop. Theresa loves the idea, and the two kiss. Ethan then begins to worry about Sheridan and Luis, so he decides to call Sheridan.
Later, Ethan and Theresa run into Whitney and Chad, and Ethan tells them about his new name. Ethan asks Chad what name he will use, his father's? Chad says no way, because his father was a racist. Whitney tells the others that Chad is prejudging his father because of what Crystal said. Still, Chad says that his father obviously didn't want a black baby. They all go back to the Eve's office and continue waiting for Chad's DNA results. Chad says that if Crystal hadn't been killed, all his questions would be answered. Whitney says these results will answer all his questions. Ethan tells Chad that they are lucky to have women like Theresa and Whitney in their lives. Suddenly, the computer beeps, and Chad thinks he's about to find out the truth.
At the vault at Crane Industries, Sheridan and Luis hide when Julian walks in. Julian can't believe his eyes when he steps inside the vault. Julian sees papers out on the desk, and realizes only three people have access to the vault. When he realizes Ethan still has access, he checks the security system and learns Ethan was let into the archives. Suddenly, AListair calls Julian and asks him how Ethan got inside the archives? What if Ethan tried to help Sheridan get Sheridan's mother's diaries! Alistair orders Julian to check the vault and make sure nobody is inside! Sheridan and Luis begin playing a game of cat and mouse with Julian. Eventually, a security guard arrives to make sure everything is okay. Julian asks him if Ethan was here earlier today, and the guard says he was, to clean out his office. Julian tells the security guard to forcibly remove Ethan if he is ever found on the premises again. As they go to leave, Sheridan knocks over a box, which Julian hears! However, the security guard hears nothing. Julian says he needs a drink and will look for the diaries later. Julian closes up the vault, which causes Sheridan to get claustrophobic. Luis tells her not to worry, they'll get out of here really soon.
Outside, Alistair calls Julian and orders him to disable Ethan's security card. Julian says he is doing that now. Alistair also orders Julian to go to the hospital and begin pressuring Eve to tell Luis the truth about Sheridan's hypnosis session. Alistair then asks Julian if anyone was in the vault? Julian says no, and AListair says that is a shame, because if Ethan and Theresa were inside, after a day they would have come out in bodybags. Julian tells Alistair that Ethan used to be his grandson! AListair says used to be is the key word! Julian tells his father that he is a cold man. Alistair says that he is, and if Julian doesn't watch it, he'll be locked in that vault! Julian begins to erase Ethan's access card, and also begins the process of sucking the oxygen out of the vault so all his father's precious paintings will be protected. After disabling Ethan's card, Julian heads to the hospital to see Eve.
Back in the vault, Sheridan wants to leave, but Luis convinces her that it is safe to stay. Unfortunately, Julian disables Ethan's security card, which locks them in! Suddenly, the oxygen level in the vault begins to drop!
In the mineshaft, Miguel works to untie Charity before the demons can reach her. Back in the hall of mirrors, Kay is forced to watch Miguel save Charity. Kay says she has to get to Miguel and help him save Charity, she can't let Miguel die! Kay searches for a way out of the hall of mirrors, but can't seem to find one. Meanwhile, Tabitha and Timmy also watch Miguel and Charity in Hecuba's magic mirror, and they route for Miguel to save Charity as well. BAck in the mine, the demons begin to attack Miguel! Charity tells Miguel to leave her or they will both die. Miguel refuses, and says that they will die together. Back in Hecuba's lair, Tabitha attempt to rescue herself and Timmy by opening a hole in the wall. Tabitha casts her spell, which works! Unfortunately, it works too well, and causes a cave in! A huge rocks ends up bonking Tabitha on the head, and it knocks her out! Timmy throws some MarTimmys on her to wake her up, which works. Tabitha says it was a good thing those were MarTimmy's and not pure water, otherwise it would have melted her. Timmy asks why witches melt in water? Tabitha says she doesn't know, but one witch melted when hit with water, so others don't like taking chances. Tabitha then tells Timmy a story, which parodies the Wizard of Oz. Tabitha plays the role of the Wicked Witch and Timmy plays a flying monkey who accidentally melts the witch. Back in the mine, as the demons close in, Miguel tells Charity that he loves her and always will. Charity realizes that the demons back away when Miguel professes his love for her, Charity tells Miguel about her discovery, and the two continue to tell one another how much they love the other. The demons get closer, so Charity tells Miguel that they need to show the demons how much they love one another. Charity says she no longer wants to wait to make love, and asks Miguel to make love to her right now! BAck in Hecuba's lair, Tabitha and Timmy continue to watch the Charity and Miguel show, and realize that they are done for. Tabitha says at least they didn't make love, because if they had, Charity would have come into her fool powers and destroyed them. Unfortunately, Charity and Miguel do begin to make love, and both Tabitha and Kay stand by and watch!
In the exam room, Grace encourages Eve to tell TC the truth, but Eve says that TC would go berserk! Grace feels that TC will find out one way or another, and it will be less painful if he hears it from her. Grace tells Eve that evil has come to Harmony and is using deception to destroy families. Eve says their situations are different, her baby is never coming back into her life. Grace thinks TC would understand, but Eve says TC would understand if it was anyone else but Julian. She also tells Grace not to underestimate TC's temper, TC almost killed Julian once before when he found them together on the prom boat.
Sam checks on Grace, who still isn't talking to him. Eve tells him that she'll be okay. Sam decides to go call to see if there are any new leads on the search for Charity, but Grace says there won't be any because she's trapped in hell! Grace gets worked up once again and says that evil is keeping Charity from them, and now her life is ruined! Eve tells Grace that this isn't helping, and she needs to calm down. Sam decides to wait outside, and Eve asks TC to go check on Chad for her. After TC leaves, Grace begs Eve to tell TC everything. Eve tells Grace that she doesn't believe in evil spirits, and if she tells TC the truth it will destroy her family. Grace tells her that keeping it a secret is what will destroy her family! Still, Eve says she just can't do it, he'd kill Julian without a second thought!
In Eve's office, the computer beeps and announces that the search is only 25% complete. Ethan compares their situations and says his world fell apart when he found out who his dad was, and Chad is about to find out who his dad is. Ethan says he is lucky to know who his dad is, even if he doesn't like him. Chad says he does know what his dad is, a bigot!
Julian arrives at the hospital and tells his father that he hasn't met up with Eve, but he did erase Ethan's security card and sucked the oxygen from the vault. Alistair is worried about Luis and Sheridan because they have yet to be heard from, it is almost as if they have disappeared! Julian tells his father that he really doesn't think they have to worry about Luis and Sheridan right now, but Alistair says that is exactly why they are in this mess, because he doesn't think they need to worry! Julian says all he meant is that once Eve tells Luis the truth, he will wash his hands of Sheridan. Alistair is also worried about Ethan and orders Julian to tell Sam Bennett's bastard son to stay away from Crane Industries. Julian says they raised Ethan, and he wouldn't hurt them. Alistair reminds Julian that he is not to trust anyone who isn't of Crane blood!
Julian goes to see Eve, only to find Ethan and the others. Julain tells Ethan that he wants to discuss the Crane archives with him. Julian tells Ethan that trespassing into the vault can result in serious jail time. Ethan blurts out "Don't punish them, it's not their fault!" A puzzled Julian asks Ethan who he is talking about? Who did he open the vault for?" Chad tells Julian that Ethan didn't do anything but open the door to look inside. Julian says papers were disturbed, but Ethan says they didn't disturb any papers. Chad tells Julian that Ethan was his son for over 20 years, he wouldn't lie to him! A nurse shows up and asks Chad how the DNA search is going? He says it is going slow. The nurse tells him not to give up hope, it is thorough. Julian asks what DNA search they are talking about, and who is paying for these outrageously expensive tests? Chad asks what's it to him? Julian says it matters to him because he's on the board. Whitney tells Julian that Eve is paying for the tests, but Julian says Eve doesn't have the power to approve these tests. Whitney tells Julian to take up his issues with her mother with her father! Julain is sure they can work something out, and says there is no reason to get TC involved. Julian also says the expenses for the DNA tests will be taken care of, Crane Industries gives generously to the NAACP. Julian leaves, and Ethan wonders why Julian was scared at his father's name. Whitney says for some reason Julian is afraid of her father. Chad then thanks them all for sticking by him, and tells them that even though he came to Harmony to find his folks, he found some great friends first. Ethan says when he first met him he never thought they had that much in common, but now they are both broke and both have issues with their fathers. Chad tells Ethan to tell him about it, he was rejected by his dad when he was first born, and Ethan was rejected by his father after he'd been his son for 20 years.
Julian walks out of Eve's office and right into TC. He knocks TC down, causing TC to hurt his knee. TC looks at Julian and calls him a bastard.
At the vault, the oxygen level continues to drop as Luis and Sheridan search for the diaries. Sheridan is nervous and thinks they should leave, but Luis tells her to just relax, nobody will catch them. Sheridan agrees to stay until they find her mother's diaries. Luis promises he'll never let anything happen to her, and he says they have all the time in the world. Luis eventually finds one of the diaries, which means the rest must be here somewhere. Luis tells Sheridan if he finds out Julian and Alistair were involved in with his father's disappearance, he will make them pay. Sheridan tells Luis that she understands. Sheridan begins reading, and says she feels so weird reading her mother's most intimate thoughts. Luis says that her mother wanted her to read these. Sheridan reads a passage, in which her mother says that her marriage to Alistair was worth it for she got Sheridan, and she just prays that Alistair never hardens her heart. Luis tells Sheridan that her mother's prayers were answered. Later, things get stuffy, so they decide to leave. Unfortunately, the card no longer works, and Sheridan realizes they are locked in! Luis tells her not to worry, he'll just call someone, but Sheridan says the vault is lead lined and waterproof, not even a nuclear bomb can break it down. Sheridan then remembers the vault is airtight, and then she sees the dropping oxygen level. Sheridan begins to hyperventilation. Luis tells her that he will get them out of here, but she has to keep it together. Later, they begin to hear an air pump, which Sheridan says is sucking all the air out to protect the artworks and documents. Sheridan says they only have a few minutes left!
In the mineshaft, Charity orders Miguel to make love to her as Tabitha, Timmy, and Kay all watch through mirrors. Kay thinks God is punishing her by making her watch the boy she loves make love to someone else. Meanwhile, Tabitha tells Timmy that Charity will end up coming into her full powers now, which will doom them! Back in the mine, Miguel and Charity begin to make love! BAck in the hall of mirrors, Kay refuses to allow Charity to have Miguel, and begins smashing the mirrors. Kay makes her way to Miguel and Charity before they can make love, and Miguel gets an idea. Miguel begins to cut the ropes binding Charity with a rock, and finally frees her. Miguel tells her they need to get out of here, but Charity refuses to go anywhere until he makes love to her. Miguel says "Say what?" Charity tells Miguel that she wants it, and she wants it now! Charity gets frisky with Miguel, and both he and Kay say there is no time for this. Suddenly, Charity's eyes begin to glow red! Miguel asks her if she is okay? Evil Charity tells Miguel that she'll be just fine as soon as he makes love to her! Evil Charity then tells Kay, who wants to leave, that she's had enough of her, and proceeds to choke her! Miguel saves Kay from Evil Charity, who just laughs at "pretty boy." As Kay and Miguel retry and run for it, Evil Charity seals them in with her. Miguel asks her what she wants, and she says chaos, destruction, murder, and mayhem! Evil Charity then casts a spell on the people of Harmony encouraging them to accept Evil into their hearts!
Back at the hospital, TC's eyes flash red, and he gets up and begins to beat up Julian!
