At the hospital, Pilar begs Theresa to recant her confession, but Theresa tells her mom that everything will work out. Pilar says this isn't one of her fantasies, it is real life and it doesn't always have a happy ending. Pilar asks Theresa to tell the truth for her if not for herself. Elsewhere, Eve tells Ethan that Theresa could go into labor at any moment. Ethan leaves, and hears Theresa telling her mom that Ethan will save her. Ethan begin to realize the only way to save Theresa is to help her escape from the hospital. Back in her room, Theresa continues talking to her mother. Pilar believes she has let Theresa down because she didn't make her give up her dreams and face the real world. Theresa says all her dreams will come true, she will have her future with Ethan. Theresa goes on to say that if living in the real world means giving up her dreams, then she'd rather be dead.
Whitney searches for Simone to talk to her before Chad does. Whitney fears her mother's words, that Simone will be damaged if she got her heart broken. MEanwhile, Simone prepares to talk to Chad. Chad tells Simone that they have to talk about them. As he's about to tell her the truth, he sees Ethan stealing some doctors scrubs. He confronts Ethan and knows what Ethan is planning on doing. He tells him not to do this, but Ethan says he sees no other alternative.
Whitney finds CHad and warns him that they can't tell Simone the truth because something horrible might happen. Chad asks if they have to hide their relationship forever? Whitney says not forever, just for awhile. Chad agrees to keep this quiet, especially now. Simone shows up later and asks Chad if they can talk now? Chad says it is no big deal, he just wanted to thank her again for her support. Chad leaves, and Whitney tells Simone that she is still too young to go out with Chad. Simone says only until she is 18, then they can make it official. She also says she's glad to have something her sister doesn't for a change, a real boyfriend! Simone says she didn't meant that to be hurtful, but it makes her feel more confident about herself knowing a boy fell in love with her first. Simone then asks her sister about seeing her on TV, and she says it looked like they were more than just friends. Whitney says Chad was just comforting her, that was all.
Ethan goes in to see Theresa, and once they are alone, he begs her the only way to save her is for her to recant her confession, and tell them who she is protecting. Theresa says she is the one who did it, but Ethan says he knows she didn't. Pilar returns and begs Theresa to name the real killer if she knows who it is. Theresa refuses to say she is protecting Ethan. Pilar leaves in tears, and Ethan tells Theresa his plan for them to escape. Ethan and Theresa escape, and unfortunately, Eve has received some test results she must talk to THeresa about. However, when she goes to talk to THeresa, she finds her gone!
Down on the island, Sheridan/Diana apologizes for losing so much money, but Brian says it isn't her fault, she was hustled. Nick says his people want their money and they want it now! Brian refuses to pay, so Nick says if they don't, both of them will be killed. Sheridan asks her if he was lying when he said he recognized her, but he says he wasn't. Nick says he does know her from somewhere, he just doesn't know where. He says she has class, she wore diamonds and expensive gowns. He says she should be thankful she has amnesia, because the life she is living now is much better than what she is living now. He makes her an offer, he'll forget her and Brian's debt if she comes with him, but she says no. Nick leaves, and Diana once again apologizes. Brian tells her that they will find a way to take care of Nick, but Diana says this is her problem and she will solve it. Brian and Diana talk about the situation with Liz, and she hates seeing what Brian is doing for Diana. Brian has decided to sell his boat to pay off Diana's debt! However, they still don't have the money, so Liz offers up what she has in the bank. When Liz and Brian are finally alone, Liz warns Brian that Nick is after Diana for more than just money. Brian says he knows, Nick made an offer to her already. Brian opens up the paper to see if he can sell his boat for more than he thinks, and he's stunned. Before he can say antyhing, Diana shows up and thinks maybe she can talk to Nick about paying in installments. Liz says she doubts it, and Brian refuses to let Diana even talk to him again. Brian says he thinks he knows a way to come up with the money, but Liz tells him that he promised to never do that again!
At the hospital, Pilar fears Theresa will die for a crime she didn't commit. Luis comforts her, while Eve discovers Theresa is gone! Eve tries to cover for what Ethan and Eve have done by not letting the state troopers find Theresa is gone. However, the troopers find she is gone, and they demand to know where she is. Eve says she was sent for more tests. Eve then goes to Sam, Luis, and Pilar and tells her that Ethan and Theresa have escaped! Luis is happy that Theresa has escaped, but Sam says it is their duty to alert the police of this. Pilar warns Sam that they will be hunting Ethan as well, and Luis tells him Ethan will be arrested as soon as they are caught. The cops ask Sam if he knows what is going on, where is Theresa Crane? Luis says she's off having tests, so the cops leave. Eve actually has some of Theresa's test results, and she fears what they say. Eve opens up the envelope, and says this is what she was afraid of. Eve says the results indicate her childbirth will be a high risk one, and if she doesn't get the proper care, both she and the baby could die. Meanwhile, Sam decides to turn Ethan and Theresa in, and Luis begs him to just wait a little while longer. Sam refuses to wait any longer, so Luis decks him! Sam decides to overlook that, but Luis refuses to let his sister be hurt, and Sam and Luis end up in a huge brawl!
Ethan and Theresa go on the run, and Ethan says they have to get her someplace safe where she can have her baby. He says if they are caught, both of their lives will be over! Suddenly, a state trooper pulls up behind Ethan and starts his sirens! Ethan doesn't want to risk a car chase and hurt the baby, so he decides to pull over and give up. Ethan pulls over, and the cop passes them! Ethan realizes they weren't after them after all. Ethan decides to take backroads from now on, but the backroads result in the car getting a flat tire. While Ethan fixes the flat, Theresa calls Whitney to let her know what is going on. Theresa thinks this means Ethan still loves her and wants to be with her forever. Whitney asks who will deliver her baby? Theresa says Ethan will deliver her baby, and she and Ethan will live happily ever after.
On the island, Liz tells Brian that he promised not to do that again. Diana/Sheridan is confused and asks what is going on. Brian shows her something in the paper, and she is shocked. Brian wants to race cars again, because he thinks he can make a ton of money that way. Liz reminds him what happened the last time he raced? Brian says it was nothing, but Liz says Brian almost died in a car crash! Liz says that is why Brian came here in the first place, to recover under the care of Doc. Liz and Brian both remember how hard it was for Brian to recover. Brian says it wasn't that bad, but Liz says he was in incredible pain due to his broken bones, and it took him months to recover. Liz also reminds Brian of his promise never to race cars again. Brian says he has no choice, he has to do this. Diana refuses to let him do this, and Liz is with her. Brian says his mind is made up and walks off. Diana blames herself, and Liz says this is her fault, and she wished Brian had just let her drown at sea!
