At the hospital, Simone codes. As the doctors work on her, Chad blames himself for all of this. He tells Ethan that he should have told Simone the truth a long time ago. Meanwhile, Whitney tells Theresa that this is all her fault for not telling Simone the truth. Theresa tells Whitney this isn't her fault, but she says it is, and she has to tell Chad it is over. Suddenly, Chad and Ethan approach the girls. Meanwhile, the doctor stabilize Simone, but he says that he doesn't know how much longer she'll be able to hold on. Chad tells Whitney that he knows she blames herself for this, but they'll work through this together. Whitney tells Chad no, and says they can never be together again. She tells Chad that she promised Simone she wouldn�t see him again. Meanwhile, Ethan tells Theresa that this is so hard for Chad and Whitney, he's just glad they have no secrets from one another.
In Dr. Russell's office, Charity tells Miguel that Kay has no soul. Miguel doesn't believe it, so Charity says she'll prove it. They talk, and Charity tells Miguel that Kay has no feelings, she never even shed a tear when her parents split up. Miguel says she did cry the other night, but he realizes he didn't see her shed tears. Charity says what about how cold she is, people with no souls are cold to the touch. Miguel says she is always cold. Charity says the third thing is people with no souls can't go to church, and Kay always has an excuse why she can't attend church with them. Charity is convinced Kay has no soul. Reese returns and tells them that Simone is getting worse, so they better go back to the ER. Miguel asks Charity if Reese knows that she thinks Kay doesn't have a soul? Charity says no, and she explains it to Reese. Miguel and Reese still don't believe it, so Charity shows them the fourth fact, that sometimes a soulless person looks like a monster. Charity says she once saw Kay with a monster face, and she is also remembering things about being pulled into hell. Charity tells them that she remembers Kay and Hecuba arguing about her soul, and she knows Kay is partially responsible for her being taken to hell. Charity tells them what she remembers, but Miguel says he doesn't understand why Kay would do that, she loves her, she�s her cousin. Reese says that wouldn't matter if she didn't have a soul. Charity is positive that Hecuba took Kay's soul, and her visions of Kay and Miguel together are related to this. Reese says that doesn't make sense, Kay loves him, not Miguel. Charity says they should talk to Kay about this. Miguel still things Charity is wrong, but they should talk to Kay.
Elsewhere, Father Lonigan tells Kay that she must set things right and reclaim her soul, or she will burn in hell. Later, Miguel, Charity, and Reese show up, and Charity tells them to look at Kay, she isn't shedding a tear or emotional at all over Simone. Miguel says maybe she is in shock. They all confront Kay, and touch her and feel that she is so cold. Miguel asks her why she isn't crying? Kay says she's just trying to be strong. Charity suggests they go to the chapel and pray, but Kay tells them she wants to stay here. Charity tells Miguel that she thinks she is right! Kay asks them what is going on, why are they looking at her the way they are? Miguel asks Kay if she has a soul or not?
At the cottage, Luis and Sheridan celebrate their victory over Julian and Alistair. Luis says they will be together forever, and kisses Sheridan. Sheridan becomes sad when she realizes her father and brother don't love her. Luis tells Sheridan it is their loss for not wanting her in their life, not hers. Sheridan tells Luis she loves him so much, and they kiss again. After making love, Sheridan says a little prayer to God and thanks him for giving her the joy and happiness she never thought she'd have.
Meanwhile, a mysterious figure approaches the mansion! In the mansion, Rebecca and Julian get a call, and are afraid to answer it. The phone eventually stops ringing, which is a relief to Julian. Julian says he doesn't want to talk to his father tonight. Rebecca tells him he is too tense, and begins helping him feel better. They go into Julian's office to get it on, only to have the phone begin ringing again. Julian tells her that her to forget about the phone, he'll call father tomorrow. Suddenly, Alistair turns on the light! We don't see Alistair's face, as usual, just his hands. Julian asks his father what he's doing here? Alistair tells Julian that he is here to clean up the mess he's made! Upon seeing Alistair, Rebecca remembers her past with Alistair. At Julian and Ivy's wedding, Alistair and Rebecca got it on! As they were doing the horizontal mambo, Alistair demanded Rebecca call him "Mr. Crane!" Rebecca tries to leave, but Alistair tells her to sit down! Alistair says they will put his plan into action, they will do what he's known must be done all along, Sheridan must be killed! Alistair informs them that he has been working on this plan for some time, and he'll be in touch in the next few days with the details. After Alistair leaves, Rebecca asks Julian what he and Alistair are afraid of Luis finding out? Julian says if he told her what they did to Luis' father, they'd have to kill her as well!
Alistair goes outside and spies on Sheridan as she prays. He says "my poor, pitiful, beautiful daughter; I'll never see you alive again." Sheridan suddenly gets a chill, and Luis asks her if she is all right? Sheridan says she just got a chill, like someone is watching her wanting harm to come to her. Luis tells her she just got freaked out by what has happened tonight, that is all. Luis once again tells her that everything will be fine.
At the hospital, Miguel asks Kay if she has a soul or not? Kay asks them what they are talking about? Miguel tells her about the website and the signs. Kay thinks this is crazy, but Miguel says that Charity remembers what happened when she was sucked into hell, she (Kay) wouldn't help Charity! Charity asks Kay for the truth, is she soulless? Kay says of course she has a soul, and she does go to the church, just during the night. Miguel thinks Kay could be lying, and he asks her again if she has a soul? Kay puts on a little show, claiming she can't believe they are doing this to her, and fakes some tears for them. She then runs off, and Reese and Miguel run after her. Charity isn't convinced, and sees Father Lonigan. She asks him how to prove someone doesn't have a soul? Father Lonigan asks why she would ask that question? Charity tells him about Kay, and he tells her that he should attempt to help Kay. He says it isn't too late, so she should go to the chapel and pray for Kay.
TC and Eve are at Simone's bedside urging her to fight. Sam and Grace show up to show their support. Hank and Jessica also show up to be there with everyone else. Sam and Hank then have a conversation, and Sam tells him about the events of the night. Sam says he thinks Grace is finally realizing she is the only woman he loves. Meanwhile, Grace tells Jessica what happened, and says she's considering a reconciliation with Sam.
Reese enlists Jessica's help to find Kay, and then he sees Tabitha's headless body walking around with Timmy and her head! Jessica doesn't see it, so Reese grabs her and chases after the body. Meanwhile, Tabitha tells Timmy that if he just gives her head back to her body, she'll put herself back together again. Timmy says fine, and gives her body her head back, just as Reese arrives! Jessica shows up just as Tabitha has reassembled her body, but Reese saw her doing it because he got their before Jessica did. Reese tells Jessica what he saw, but she doesn't believe him because Tabitha is fine, and Timmy is sitting on the bench. Tabitha says she came to see Simone because she's been so worried about her. Jessica gives Tabitha an update, and offers to take her to Simone. Tabitha says she'll be right in, and tells Timmy they should try and help Simone over to the other side and cause the Russell's some real pain. Timmy is sick of doing evil, and decides to do something good for a change.
Back in the hospital, Grace tells comforts Eve and tells her that she won't lose Simone. Meanwhile, Sam and Hank continue talking about Ivy. Hank knows Sam says his feelings for Ivy are a thing of the past, but he's not so sure. He asks Sam who he is trying to convince, him, or himself? Sam becomes angry and says he loves Grace and only Grace!
Elsewhere, Chad asks Whitney if she is serious? Whitney says she is, it is their fault Simone got hit by the car, so they can never be together again. Chad says that he has waited too long to find the love they have, and he's not living without it. Whitney says she can't live with the guilt of what they've done, and she made a promise to her sister. Chad refuses to accept this, but Whitney cries that it is over. Chad begs Whitney not to take "this" away from him. Chad kisses Whitney, and he tells her that that kiss told him everything he needed to know. Chad goes to get them some coffee, and Whitney tells herself that is the last time she'll ever kiss Chad.
Somewhere else in the hospital, Miguel finds Kay, who was praying to get her soul back. Meanwhile, Charity goes to the chapel and prays to God to give Kay her soul back. Timmy overhears his sweet Charity praying, and considers giving Kay her soul back, if he could get it off of him. Timmy decides to help Charity by answering her prayer, and takes off Kay's soul. The vial is hot, and Timmy ends up smashing it, which causes Kay's soul to fly up into the air. Timmy watches as the blue light from her soul shines down upon him.
Ethan tells Theresa that by Chad and Whitney keeping their relationship a secret, they have hurt Simone even more. Ethan says secrets cause nothing but pain, and he's glad they have no secrets between them. Theresa asks Ethan how he'd feel if she had a secret? Could their relationship survive a challenge? Ethan tells Theresa that nothing could ever come between them, as long as they have no secrets between them.
Later, the doctor announces that they are losing Simone, so Father Lonigan instructs everyone to gather around and pray. Tabitha claims her knee hurts, so she can't kneel and pray. Meanwhile, Miguel and Reese notice Kay isn't praying either, and Miguel thinks perhaps Charity was right after all. Suddenly, the alarms in Simone's room begin to beep. The doctor checks on Simone, and then tells them all that their prayers must have worked, Simone is okay! Miguel then tells Charity that he thinks she is right about Kay, she isn't showing any emotion. Suddenly, Kay is hit by her soul, which re-enters her body. Kay is suddenly happy, and begins to cry. Miguel tells Charity that they must have been wrong after all. Charity says maybe her souls were just answered. Grace then gives Sam some good news, she wants them to work things out because she knows he loves her. Later, the doctor tells TC and Eve that even though Simone will live, she could have experienced damage because of the trauma, and they won't know the extent of such damage until she wakes up. Meanwhile, Whitney visits Simone, and Chad overhears Whitney tells Simone she will never be with Chad again.
Tabitha is not happy that Kay has her soul back, and she scolds Timmy for doing good. Tabitha fears Kay may stop trying to break up Charity and Miguel now that she has her soul back. They then spy on Kay as she talks to Father Lonigan. Kay tells him she has her soul back, and he says she can keep it only if she changes her ways. Kay says she wants to be good, and she won't bother Miguel anymore. Kay then tells herself over and over "I'm going to be good."
At the Hotchkiss place, Rebecca comes home and finds Gwen still awake. Gwen tells her mom that she can't sleep, her bed feels so empty without Ethan. Gwen is sick of waiting for Theresa to get what is coming to her, but Rebecca says they can't blow everything when they are so close, the wedding is only a few days away. Gwen asks her mom where she has been, and what she has been up to? Rebecca says she'll find out anyways, so she tells her about her and Julian's scheme to break up Luis and Sheridan. Gwen thinks that is awful, and asks how she could do such a thing? Rebecca says it didn't work, besides she's no "miss innocent" plotting to break up Ethan and Theresa. Gwen says that is different, she has a reason. Rebecca says that Alistair and Julian have their reasons too. Rebecca panics because if Julian and Alistair's plan failed, theirs doesn't stand a chance. Gwen says if she doesn't get Ethan back, she doesn't know what she will do.
At the newspaper office, the editor asks the tabloid if he knows who sent the email that ruined Ethan's life? He has a feeling this will be another big scandal, so he has to know who it was. The reporter says he doesn't know yet, finding out who it is more difficult than he thought. However, the reporter says he isn't going to stop until he finds out who sent the email. Suddenly, Gwen calls the tabloid reporter, using a voice altering device, and tells him that Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald sent him the email about Ethan Crane! The reporter decides to confirm this, and the editor says if he can get the proof, they'll run the story.
Back at the Hotckiss place, Rebecca is not pleased that Gwen blabbed early, but hopes she is happy. Gwen says she feels better, and knows now that the end is near for Theresa.
At the station, Sam and Grace wake up in one another's arms. Sam can't believe this is real, and he tells Grace that he's going to spend the rest of his life showing her how much he loves her. He also suggests they stay in bed all day. Grace asks "here?" Sam realizes that they are in the police station. Grace says they should take this somewhere else, but the question is where? Sam says he can come stay at Tabitha's, but Grace says it really is crowded over there. Sam suggests they rent a house until they rebuild their own, and he'll check on rentals today. Grace is pleased and says she can't stand to spend another night without him. Grace gets up to get dressed, and Ivy once again shows up. Ivy is shocked when Grace walks in wearing one of Sam's police shirts! Grace tells Ivy that she and Sam are back together. Ivy refuses to believe that, and she says that Sam still loves her. Grace tells Ivy to give it up! Grace says all her schemes have done have proved Sam's total commitment to her! Grace tells Ivy that it is over, no matter what she did, Sam's love for her never faltered! Grace says that she feels sorry for Ivy! Ivy congratulates Grace on winning, and she tells Sam that she will leave him alone, she knows when it's time to move on. Ivy holds back the tears and says her memories will have to be enough, and she runs out. Sam tells Grace there is nothing to stand in the way of their happiness now. Grace still feels a little sorry for Ivy. Sam makes Grace promise that for the rest of the afternoon they won't talk or think about Ivy. Later, Sam and Grace look for rentals, but can't find anything affordable or nearby.
Meanwhile, Ivy returns to the park, retrieves the letter she wrote to Sam, and tears it up. She then cries "I've lost him. . . . "
Somewhere far away in a jungle island setting, an Englishman returns to his cottage, where a blonde is waiting for him. She asks him if he got any good shots today? He says a few. The blonde says he will probably win a ton of awards. The man says he can't wait to get started on his next assignment. The blonde asks him if it doesn't bother him living on the road? The man says no, he likes it that way, and he refuses to talk about home. The blonde gives him some magazines from the states, and he decides to see if any of his photos are in them. In one of them is the story about the Bennett's house getting swallowed. The man sees a picture of Grace, and is shocked. The man asks the blonde if she knows where this town is? She tells him she thinks it is in New England, somewhere near Boston. The man calls someone and tells them to book him on the next plane to Boston, rent him a car, and get him directions to a town called Harmony! When the blonde learns he is going back to the states, she asks what is so important? The man says not what, who!
At the mansion, Julian finds his father in the study reading the paper. Alistair tells Julian that if he wants to run Crane Industry some day he should have been up hours ago helping him plan Sheridan's demise. Julian gets a cup of coffee, and Alistair tells him that he still has one more chance to prove he can handle things. Alistair orders Julian to kill Sheridan as soon as possible! Alistair says it will be a disaster for Sheridan to marry Luis, and for Luis to find out the truth about his father. Julian tells Alistair that he had a vision of his mother coming to him, and she was ashamed of what they were planning to do. Alistair coldly tells Julian not to bring up his mother around him. Julian says there must be some other way to keep Sheridan away from Luis. Alistair says he doesn't deal in alternatives, and he has given him a job to do. Alistair then pulls out a little black box to listen in on Sheridan and Luis. Julian realizes that is how his father always knows what is going on in Harmony!
At the cottage, Luis finds Sheridan crying over a book. Luis asks her what is wrong? Sheridan says she's been up all night, miserable. She doesn't understand how her own family could do this to her, and she says her father is a monster. Luis says he has always believed Alistair and Julian were behind what happened to his father. Sheridan says she didn't, not until now. Luis says they will do anything to tear two people apart. Sheridan says she never realized it until now, Julian and Alistair never cared about her, and now she knows that they never will. Unbeknownst to Sheridan, Alistair listens in as she tells Luis that all she wants is Alistair to hug her, to tell her that he is proud of her, and that he loves her. Luis says he'll give her the best wedding present she could ever dream of, and he asks her what would totally blow her away. Sheridan says it is foolish, and he'll think she's crazy. Luis tells her that she can tell him anything. Sheridan says she wants her father to tell her that he loves her. Luis says that is the one thing he can't give her. Sheridan and Luis begin talking about children, and Sheridan thinks that if she gives Alistair a grandson, maybe he'll see what he is missing. She then realize that is just a foolish dream.
Back in the mansion, Julian asks his father how he can kill Sheridan, she still wants his love and acceptance. Alistair says "yes . . . . she does." Alistair realizes there is still one thing they haven't done, used Sheridan's own feelings to destroy her relationship with Luis! Julian doesn't understand what his father is talking about. Alistair says that Sheridan has given them the perfect way to split her and Luis up! Alistair tells Julian his plan, off camera, and Julian tells his father that this plan is cruel!
Back at the cottage, Sheridan gives herself a little pep-talk. She tells herself to forget about Alistair, he'll never love her, and her dream will never come true. When Sheridan hears the door open, she thinks it is Luis, but it is Alistair. Alistair holds his arms out to Sheridan and asks for a hug because it has been so long, too long! Julian listens in and says his poor sisters life is about to be destroyed!
Luis talks with his mom at the hospital and fills her in on what Julian and Alaistair did to him and Sheridan. Pilar worries because Alistair has a power over Sheridan, power he could use to hurt them. Luis knows she is right, and he says that Sheridan still wants her father's love. Pilar is just thankfull that AListair is not in Harmony.
Julian listens in as Alistair manipulates Sheridan at the cottage. Sheridan refuses to believe her father has come back to see her, he must be here on business. Alistair says he came back to see her after he learned about the plot Julian and Rebecca hatched against her and Luis. Alistair says he was angry, and he flew all this way to comfort her. Sheridna asks "Really?" Alistair says of course, she is his daughter, and he loves her. Sheridan can't believe this. Back in the mansion, Rebecca arrives and listens in on Alistair and Sheridan with Julian. Back at the cottage, Sheridan says she is shocked that he is here, because bad things have happened before, and he never came. Alistair says he has failed her, and he was wrong to put business in front of his family, and he has realized the error of his ways. Sheridan tells her father that it is too late, not after a lifetime of hurt. Sheridan tells her father that she will never forgive him, and not to try and insult her intelligence by claiming he knew nothing of it. Alistair swears he knew nothing about the mask or the plan, he swears it on her mother's grave. When Alistair says that Julian was trying to get rid of her because he was going to make her his heir, Sheridan is shocked. Alistair says times have changed, and unlike Julian he can count on her. He also says he won't lie to her, he wouldn't have picked Luis for her husband, but he does want her to be happy. Alistair says if she wants Luis then he wants her to have him. Alistair tells Sheridan that he loves her, and asks if she believes him? Still, Sheridan is still suspicious, because Julian wouldn't have done what he did without his blessing. Alistair says Julian has become a desperate and loose cannon, and Crane's don't turn on one another the way Julian did. Alistair says all the money in the world don't mean a thing if you don't have family, and she and Julian are the reason for everything he does. Alistair says the thought of her being unhappy without the man she loves is like a dagger in her heart. Sheridan asks why he didn't come to her funeral when it was believed she was dead. Alistair says he was afraid of breaking down in front of everyone, so he grieved alone. Alistair says a daughter can never be replaced, and he went out of his mind when he heard she was dead. Back at the mansion, Pilar hears Alistair coming from the study, and enters. Julian cuts off the eavesdropping device, and Pilar asks if Alistair is back. Julian says that is none of her concern, and tells her to please leave. Pilar leaves, and learns from Elena that Alistair is back in Harmony. Pilar fears the worst for Luis and Sheridan. Back at the cottage, Alistair tells Sheridan that after her mother died, he plunged himself into his work. Alistair says it was only upon hearing she was marrying the man she loves that he snapped out of his shell. Alistair then tells Sheridan he hopes one day she will give him grandchildren so he can give them the love he failed to give her. Alistair says he came home to save her, but she has made it on her own. Alistair says she no longer needs him, and he understands she doesn't want to forgive him, but he wants her to know he wishes her all the happiness in the world. Alistair goes to leave, However, Sheridan asks her daddy not to leave, and runs into his arms.
Luis goes to the station to do some work, and Hank comes to see him. Hank says he needs a job, and that's why he's come. Hank tells Luis that he wants to become a cop. Luis is pleased and says he'll help him in any way he can. Hank notices something is wrong with Luis, and the two talk about Sheridan's problems with her father, and the set-up. Luis says it was all done to break them up, because Julian and Alistair are afraid that he'll learn the truth about what they did to his father. However, Luis says it is too late, Sheridan has seen her father and brother for the creeps they are. Luis says she is onto them, but Sheridan still wants Alistair's love. Later, Pilar calls Luis and tells him that Alistair is in Harmony! Luis knows this is not good news. Hank asks how Alistair can stop them from being married now? Luis says who knows, but he's not giving Alistair a chance to try anything. He also vows to kill Alistair if he opens up any of Sheridan's emotional wounds.
