Out West, Tabitha becomes upset that Eve and Julian's, and Sam and Ivy's pasts have been exposed in Timmy's book. She is very concerned about Sam and Ivy's past, because the town will go nuts when the truth that Ethan is a Bennett comes out. Timmy tries to clams her down, and Tabitha eventually decides to take a hot shower to relax. Timmy decides to go up to the old house and talk to Norma's father while Tabby takes her shower. Outside, Norma sharpens her axe!
At the Bennett's, Hecuba continues to be sucked into Reese's evil-catching machine. She begs Kay for help, but Kay refuses and says once she's gone, her problems will disappear with her. When Hecuba tells Kay that she'll never get her soul back if she is eliminated, Kay reluctantly saves her. Afterwards, Charity feels the presence of evil all around her.
At the mansion, Eve begs Alistair not to play the tape, but Alistair could care less what Eve wants. Eve wonders why Alistair hasn't broken up Ethan and Theresa yet, since he's so hell bent on protecting the Crane family, and then she realizes that the truth will cause Luis to forbid his sister to marry any Crane. Eve refuses to allow Alistair to do this, but he threatens to expose the truth about her if she doesn't keep quiet.
Grace feels horrible about asking Ivy if she had a son with the boy she loved, and she wants to apologize to her. Sam tells her not to worry about it. Later, Grace realizes that Sam and Ivy both lost their first loves.
Julian continues to put off the tabloid reporter, and eventually becomes horrified when he learns the man is from the tabloids. Julian refuses to talk to Mort, which angers him. Meanwhile, Chad and Ivy both make toasts to Ethan and Theresa and their future happiness. Eve returns to the party around this time and begins to try and prevent the tape from playing by suggesting Ethan and Theresa dance. Her tactics work for a bit, and prevents Alistair from playing the tape. Just as she convinces Sheridan and Luis to leave the party, Alistair makes an announcement to everyone and prepares to play the tape! Luis recognizes Alistair's voice as the man on the phone who identified himself as a friend. Back in Julian's study, Julian is confronted by Mort, who shoves the paper in Julian's face!
Back in the motel room, Tabitha begins to take off her jewelry to enjoy a hot, relaxing shower. Outside, Norma lurks at the window with an axe! Tabitha, with a pink shower cap on, hops into the shower and begins to soap up. MEanwhile, Norma sneaks into the room and asks Norman to forgive her because no one will ever take his place. Norma sneaks into the bathroom, and Tabitha calls out. Nobody answers, and Tabitha thinks she is being silly. Tabitha asks Timmy if that is him? Norma raises her axe, and Tabitha lets out a scream. Norma begins hacking away, and her axe begins to turn red! Tabitha screams for Timmy's help. Tabitha eventually falls down, and we see blood running down the drain!
At the mansion, everyone listens to Alistair's announcement. Alistair tells them all that he has something for them to hear that just can't wait. Alistair warns them that what they are about to hear will shock a number of them, and even change some of their lives. Miguel thinks that whatever Alistair has to say won't affect him, so he wants to go back to the Bennett's and check on Charity. Pilar tells Miguel to please wait, because his brother or sister may need him. Alistair says that he was shocked when this information came into his possession, but he feels compelled to share it with them. However, before he can play the tape, Alistair is interrupted by his assistant, who has a copy of the tabloid. Sheridan begins to realize that something is very wrong, because her father never changes his mind about something once it is made up. Sheridan says that something major must have happened. Back wherever Alistair is, AListair is not well at all, and he doesn't want anyone at the party to hear him in a weak moment. Alistair apologizes to everyone and says his announcement will have to wait because something more important has come up. Back at the party, Ivy tells Pilar that she could hear the shaking in AListair's voice, something big is going on. Ivy looks around, and wonders where Julian is. Luis and Sheridan decide to split, so they return back to the cottage. Eve hopes they enjoy the rest of their night, because it could be their last happy one. Meanwhile, Chad, with Ethan's permission, puts some happier music on to lift people's spirits. Ivy sees Sam and Grace dancing, and decides to ask if she could cut. Ivy tells Grace that she loves this song, and with her husband away, she was wondering if she could borrow hers? Grace doesn't mind at all, but Sam does. Sam says he can go find Julian for her, but Ivy doubts he'd find him, and Grace should stay off her feet as much as possible. Grace thinks Ivy is being sweet, and decides to freshen up. Sam dances with Ivy,
Gwen and Rebecca wait outside of Julian's study for the explosion to occur. Rebecca tells Gwen that very soon, everything in this house will be theirs! Inside Julian's study, Julian is shocked by the headline. Mort asks Julian if a cat has his tongue? Mort asks Julian if he could have his reaction for their readers? Julian tells Mort that he'll give him something for his readers, and pulls out a gun! Mort thinks that Julian is going to shoot Sam Bennett, but Julian says he is going to kill him! Julian is furious with Mort for printing lies, and he says he loves Ethan more than life itself. Mort swears that he didn't make it up, and he has proof, but Julian doesn't believe Mort's proof. Mort begs him to at least look at the proof because it shows that his wife kept the truth about Ethan a secret. Julian looks at the letter Ivy wrote to Sam, but never sent, and how she planned to pass Ethan off as a Crane. Julian asks Mort who sent him these? Mort says he doesn't have a clue. He says they got it by email, and were unable to trace it to a sender. Suddenly, Alistair calls Julian and asks him what in the hell is going on! Alistair says if this turns out to be true he will destroy everyone involved! Julian says he doesn't know if this is true or not yet. Alistair says if it is true then he is an even bigger fool than he thought! Julian tells his father that now is really not a good time to talk because the reporter is right here. Alistair tells the reporter to get the hell off of their estate before he has the rotweillers (sp?) sicked on him! The reporter leaves, and Gwen and Rebecca sneak back to the party. Julian refuses to believe this, but AListair says it explains everything: Ivy's overprotectiveness of him and his need to do the right thing despite what they taught him. Alistair says what bothers him the most is that he didn't see it himself, but he applauds Ivy for keeping this secret from him. Alistair orders Julian to go to the party and find out if this story is true, and if it is, to bring him his wife's treacherous head.
Back at the party, Grace gets lost and asks Pilar where the bathroom is? Pilar directs her to the one in the east wing corridor. Before leaving, Grace asks Pilar about Ivy's past, and how terrible her life must be knowing she will never be with the man she loves. Pilar says there is nothing Ivy could do, the man she loved married another woman. Still, Grace doesn't think Ivy ever stopped loving this man, and that perhaps one day she and her first love will be reunited. Pilar says that must never happen, but Grace says love that strong never goes away. Pilar asks what about the man's wife? Grace says someone will be hurt, and because Ivy is her friend, she is routing for her. On the way to the bathroom, Grace runs into Julian and comments how proud he must be of his son. She also hopes that Ethan and Sam will be able to bury the hatchet in time. Julian tells her that perhaps they will. Julian sees Ivy and Sam dancing together, and Grace says she gave them permission. Theresa, who is dancing with Ethan, tries to convince Ethan to make peace with Sam. Ethan says that even if he tried he doubts Sam would accept. Ethan says that he doesn't remember when he's seen his mother so happy, and then he sees the look on Julian's face. Ethan wonders what is going on. Julian then screams out to Ivy, in front of everyone, that she is a tramp and a slut!
Grace mistakenly walks into Ivy's room, where Miguel is attempting to call Charity. However, nobody is answering at the Bennett's. Miguel becomes worried and decides to swing by and see what is going on. However, Grace tells him not to worry, and Theresa needs at least one of her brothers to stay here with her tonight.
Luis and Sheridan return to the cottage, and Luis makes Sheridan promise not to answer the door if anyone knocks on it. Luis says nothing will interrupt their love making, and the two begin to kiss.
At the Bennett's, Hecuba waits for Charity in her room, and hopes that Kay can get Charity to enter her room. When the doorknob begins to turn, Hecuba disappears. Charity walks into her room, and Kay reluctantly follows. Kay tells Charity that she told her there was nothing to be afraid of up here. Charity wonders why she felt the way she did, and she says she should have trusted her. Charity looks at her closet door, and remembers the flames of hell she saw before. Kay tries to convince her that nothing is wrong, and Charity realizes that nothing could happen to her with Kay right beside her. Charity also says that the fires of hell raging in her closet are also her imagination. Charity wonders what could be wrong with her, and then she tells Kay that even if she weren't her cousin, she'd want her as a friend because she always makes her feel very safe and secure. Charity decides to be stronger and more like her cousin from now on and not let these fears affect her. Charity turns on some lights in her room, but suddenly they all blow out. Charity panics, but Kay says it is probably just a fuse. Charity decides to start thinking more positively, and begin thinking like she does. Kay asks Charity what she means? Charity says she knows if she thought she had hell in her closet, she'd fling open the doors and see what was inside. Kay says maybe . . . Charity says if she (Kay) could do that, then so can she. As Charity is about to open the door, Kay panics and tells her not to do it. Charity says she has to do this. Hecuba appears and tells Kay that if she tries to stop her again, then she'll join her cousin in the closet! Charity opens the closet, and it is empty! She turns her back on the closet and says that is a relief because she really thought there would be something in there. Hecuba waves her hands, which begin to glow red, and the flames of hell spring into action! Charity turns around and sees the flames of hell and the lost souls reaching for her. Hecuba appears, and she tells Charity that nobody can save her now. Charity asks Kay to help her, but Kay just sits on her bed.
Out West, Timmy screams for help after Norma's dead father falls on top of him. When no one comes to his rescue, Timmy wiggles his way out from under him. As he is trying to escape from the house, Timmy begins to hear cats meowing at him! Meanwhile, Norma hacks away at Tabitha, who passes out in the shower! It appears that Tabitha, is dead!
At the mansion, with Grace still upstairs, Julian calls Ivy a slut and a tramp! Ivy yells at Julian and tells him that not only is he drunk, but he is embarrassing Ethan! Julian goes on and on about how he knows the truth she has kept from him, and soon everyone will know it. Ethan pulls Julian aside to talk to him about this disturbance he is causing. Julian tells Ethan that he wants him to know he's always wanted what is best for him. Ethan doesn't understand what is going on, and Julian assures him that he will soon, so he should enjoy these last few minutes. Ethan returns to Theresa, who is worried. Ethan tells her that with her by his side, he can get through anything. Meanwhile, Pilar, Ivy, and Eve wonder if Julian could know the truth about Ethan? Elsewhere, Sam begins to feel sorry for Ivy because he had no idea her marriage was this bad. Later, Julian returns and announces to everything that he is going to reveal the truth about the secret his wife has kept from him all these years.
As all hell is breaking loose in the mansion, Sheridan and Luis share a romantic bath before venturing into the bedroom to make love. Luis tells Sheridan that he doesn't want the bath to go to waste, and he wants to make this night as long and as memorable as possible.
At the Bennett's, Charity recognizes Hecuba from her nightmares and screams to Kay for help as the lost souls begin to pull her into her closet. Hecuba tells Charity that Kay can't help her because she has no soul, she is unable to feel compassion or pity for her! Charity refuses to believe that and begs her cousin to help her. Kay eventually tries to save Charity, but Hecuba laughs and says it is too late, and if Kay doesn't let go, she'll be sucked into hell along with Charity!
Out West, Timmy is trying to escape from Norma's house, and as he does we see a flashback of Timmy finding Norma's father, and him falling on top of him. As Timmy makes his way to the door, he hears a cat meowing. Timmy tries to tell himself he is imagining things, but when he hears more meowing, Timmy decides to run. Unfortunately, Timmy finds himself surrounded by cats! Timmy yells to Tabitha for help. Tabitha doesn't come to Timmy's aid, and he wonders why. Timmy is forced to go back into the room where Norma's father is, and once again he falls on her.
At the motel, Tabitha is lying in the bottom of the tub with the shower curtain strategically wrapped around her body. As Norma looks at her, we see a flashback of Tabitha being axed. Norma ends up hearing Timmy calling for Tabitha, and she realizes he must be up at the main house. Norma rushes out of the motel room, leaving Tabitha in the shower.
Back at the main house, the cats manage to break down the door and enter the room where Timmy is hiding. Timmy sees no other way to escape other than to jump out the window. Timmy makes the sign of the cross, and then jumps! Timmy survives his fall. After Timmy escapes, Norma shows up and finds her father on the floor. As the Dark Shadows' theme plays in the background, Norma picks up her father and apologizes to him for allowing the little man to get into the house. Norma's father accuses Norma of letting him do this to him, and instructs Norma to punish the little man. Norma grabs her axe and tells his father that she won't let Timmy hurt him again.
Timmy runs back to the room, and finds Tabitha on the floor of the shower. It appears, that Tabitha is dead!
At the cottage, Sheridan and Luis sit in the tub and kiss. The room is lit by candles, and their are rose petals scattered around the room. Luis tells Sheridan that he could look into her eyes forever. Sheridan hope's he means that. Luis tells her that he's meant everything he's ever said to her. Luis tells Sheridan that he loves her, and he'll always treat her like a queen. Sheridan still can't believe she has found someone who truly loves her. Luis says that he'll love her like no one else ever has. Sheridan tells Luis that she's so glad he remembered the bath. Luis tells her that her and it was all he could think about at the party. Sheridan hope's Ethan and Theresa are having a good time. Luis does too, but doubts they are having as good of a time as they are. Later, Sheridan decides to bathe every, single, inch of Luis. Afterwards, Luis shampoos Sheridan's hair. Finally, Sheridan and Luis get out of the tub, and begin to passionately kiss.
At the mansion, Julian tells Ivy, in front of everyone, that he knows all about her secret. Ivy tells Julian that he is not only drunk, but he is ruining the party. Ivy tells Julian to go to bed, but Julian refuses to be dismissed. Julian says that not only has he discovered her secret, soon the whole world will know it! Theresa asks Ethan why his father is so upset? Ethan says he doesn't know, but it has something to do with what his mother did. Julian continues to humiliate Ivy in front of everyone. He says that he's sure his wife would probably want to talk about this privately in their bedroom, but they haven't shared a bedroom or a bed in years, and he never knew why. TC and Sam wonder if Julian knows about Ivy and Sam's past, as do Pilar, Eve, and Ivy. Ivy doesn't think anyone knows about Ethan's real father, but Pilar knows Theresa knew and had the information on her computer for some time. Julian apologizes for behaving so poorly tonight, but as soon as they hear what he has to say, they will understand. Sam asks Pilar if Julian has ever treated Ivy this way before? Pilar says never this rudely, and never in front of so many people. Sam asks Pilar if Julian could know about him and Ivy? Pilar says it is possible. Sam says even if he did know, he can't imagine why he is getting this upset over it. Julian tells everyone to listen up and pay attention to what he has to say. Ivy tells Julian to shut up, or she will call Alistair. Julian just laughs, and Ivy thinks that he's either gone mad or has a brain tumor. Julian says he is/has neither. Ivy asks him what is the matter with him? Julian says he knows her precious secret, and even her, the Ice Queen, won't be able to hold it together when he reveals her secret to the one person who matters most to her, her son Ethan! Ethan asks his mother what his "father" is talking about? Pilar asks Theresa if she told anyone about Mrs. Crane's secret? Theresa says she told no one! Theresa asks if there is any way someone could have seen the file on her computer? Theresa says there is no way anyone could have seen it. Meanwhile, Sam begins to worry about Grace, who is still in the bathroom. Sam knows that Grace is supposed to avoid stress, and this is obviously not the place for her to be. Julian announces that he knows all about her lover, and the letter she wrote to him, the one she never mailed! Theresa realizes that Julian knows the truth. Sam wants to put a stop to this, but TC tells him that he better not. Julian tells Ivy that he knows the truth, he knows everything! Ivy begins to quake with fear. Ethan demands to know what his "father" is talking about? Julian tells Ethan that his mother should be the one to tell him. Ivy doesn't say a word, and Julian asks why she doesn't want to tell HER son about her sordid past? Doesn't she want to tell him about her wedding night and how she ran to her lover's arms? Pilar, Eve, and Sam all realize that Julian knows the truth. Ivy asks Julian if they could talk about this privately, but he sees no point in that because by the night is over the entire world will no. Ivy says she is begging him, and Julian yells at her "What, don't do this to YOUR son!" Julian tells Ivy that he is going to tell everyone in this room the truth! Ivy, realizing that Julian knows the truth, passes out! The reporter, who has been secretly taking pictures, decides to head back and have them developed for the second edition. Whitney notices Theresa's reaction, and asks her if she knows what is going on? Theresa says he couldn't know, she deleted the file. Whitney asks Theresa what she did? Meanwhile, Ethan asks his father why he cares if his mother had a lover before she met him? Julian tells Ivy to get up because he wants her to see the look in her son's eyes when he hears what she has done to both of them! Julian yells at Ivy to wake up dammit! Ethan asks his "father" what has gotten into him? What is this secret? TC warns Sam that Julian knows about him, but Sam disagrees because whoever Julian is talking about involves Ethan somehow. Julian apologizes to Ethan and asks him not to be angry with him until he knows the truth. Ethan says fine, and asks Julian to tell him what happened. Julian tells Ethan that it happened years ago, and then he looks at Sam!
At the Bennett's, Charity continues to be pulled into her closet by the lost souls and she clings onto Kay. Charity begs Kay to help her and not to let her die. Hecuba stands behind Kay and tells her that if she helps Charity, she will be damned as well! Hecuba says she has a choice, she can be damned to hell, or live on earth with the man that she loves. Kay says she wants that, but she can't let Charity die. Hecuba tells Kay that she can't help Charity otherwise she will burn in hell along with her. Hecuba shows Kay her soul and tells her that it will be hers if she just lets Charity go! When Kay doesn't let go of Charity, Hecuba begins pulling at Kay in order to force her to let go of Charity. Hecuba eventually wins, and Charity is pulled into hell! Charity screams for help, but Hecuba tells her that she is history! Hecuba tells Kay that if she had continued to help Charity she would have been in hell along with her cousin, but instead she is here, she will get her soul back, and she will get the man she loves.
Out West, Timmy finds Tabitha in the shower and thinks she is dead. He mourns her, and we a treated to a montage of classic Timmy and Tabby moments. Timmy thinks that someone who read the book must have killed Tabitha, and fears that someone might come after him as well. As Timmy packs to flee to Tahiti, Tabitha walks out of the bathroom, shocking Timmy. Tabitha tells Timmy that Norma did this to her, and she didn't actually hit her, but her bottle of strawberry shampoo. Tabitha says that she ended up hitting her head on the tub, which knocked her out. Timmy is glad to see that Tabitha is alive, and the two decide that they better run for their lives. Unfortunately, as they open the door, they come face to face with an axe-wielding Norma!
At the Bennett's, Kay watches as Charity burns in hell. She then turns to Hecuba and demands her soul back. Hecuba, however, is reluctant to give it up, and makes up an excuse to Kay. She claims that she must cast a spell in order to return her soul to her body, and that it will take time for her to write the spell and test it out. Suddenly, Jessica shows up! Jessica hears strange noises coming from Kay's room. Kay goes to see Jessica and claims that she and Charity were watching a horror flick, and she just turned it off because Charity fell asleep. Kay then orders Jessica to go make them something to eat, which Jessica does. Hecuba tells Kay that was a great lie, but Kay worries about how long she can keep lying about Charity's disappearance. Then, as if on cue, Miguel calls! Hecuba pretends to be Charity and tells Miguel that she is just fine, and not to come by tonight because she is going to sleep and really needs her rest. Later, Jessica returns with some tea for Charity, and Kay tells her that she can't go in to see her. Jessica looks at Kay and asks her why not?
At the mansion, Grace is STILL upstairs with Miguel. Miguel is very worried about Charity, and tells Grace that sometimes he fears that Charity is a visiting angel, and she will be leaving him very soon. Miguel decides to call Charity, and talks to Hecuba instead. He is relived that Charity is okay, according to Hecuba. Grace and Miguel talk, and when they look at some family photos on a table, Grace once again thinks Ethan looks like a Bennett. Later, Pilar shows up to check on Grace, who is hit with a sudden flash of pain. Pilar becomes worried and instructs Miguel to take Grace to Ivy's room so she can lay down.
Downstairs at the party, the main event is occurring. Eve tends to Ivy, and Ethan yells at his "father" for doing this to his mother. Ethan says he doesn't care if mother had a lover before Julian, because it doesn't effect him. Julian tells Ethan that he is so very wrong. Ivy comes too, and when she sees Ethan over her, she says "I knew you'd come back to me!" Ethan asks her who she is talking about? Ivy realizes that Ethan, not Sam, is next to her. Julian tells Ivy that he knows all about her secret, about HER son, and soon everyone else will too. Ivy refuses to allow Julian to hurt Ethan, and she drags him into the library. Sam begins to worry about Ivy, which causes TC, Pilar, and Eve to all wonder if Sam could still have feelings for her. Meanwhile, Theresa confides in Whitney that Ethan is really Sam's son, and this news will devastate him. Whitney tells her that they will be there for Ethan, as will Chad. Theresa begins to worry, and calls Luis and Sheridan.
In the library, Ivy gets down on her knees and begs Julian not to tell anyone about Ethan. Julian yells at her and begins to throw things. He says that he loved Ethan, he raised Ethan, and he hates her for doing this to him. Ivy says that nobody needs to know the truth, but Julian tells her that it is too late. He then shows her the tabloid, which causes Ivy to quake with fear. Julian demands Ivy tell her son the truth, but she is unable to face him. Julian says than he will do it, and leaves.
At the cottage, Luis and Sheridan have moved from the bathroom to the bedroom, and are just about to make love when the phone begins to ring. They ignore it, and let the machine get it. When they hear Theresa crying on the other end telling them that she and Ethan need them, Sheridan puts Theresa on speaker phone. Theresa begins to fill them in on what is happening, when Julian returns. Ethan demands his father tell him what is going on. Julian tells Ethan not to call him that, not to call him father. Ethan asks him why not? Julian tells Ethan that he is not his father, and that he, Ethan, is not a Crane! Everyone, including Sheridan and Luis, is stunned by the news!
