At the Bennett's, Kay has a nightmare that Charity and Miguel have figured out that she sold her soul to Hecuba. When she wakes up, Hecuba appears to chat with her. Hecuba needs Kay's help in destroying Charity tonight. Kay asks Hecuba why she's so hell bent on destroying Charity? Hecuba tells Kay that hundreds of years ago Charity's coming was foretold, and that tonight, the battle between good and evil begins! Kay realizes that Charity could destroy Hecuba, so she decides to let her do just that. However, Hecuba tells Kay that if she dies, she will never get her soul back! Kay realizes she has no choice but to help Hecuba kill CHarity. Meanwhile, Charity wakes up from her nap and realizes that she is going to die tonight.
At a newspaper office, a reporter receives the email Rebecca sent him from Theresa's laptop. He flips out, and takes it to his boss. The two of them read it, and another reporter tells them about the engagement party at the mansion tonight. The one reporter think that they should print the story, and crash the party to get a reaction. However, the boss isn't sure because old man Alistair controls them and most of the other newspapers around the world. Thinking about Alistair's power makes the editor mad, so he agrees to run the story on the front page tonight in order to show Alistair who is boss.
At the mansion, Julian is on the phone with Alistair, who is furious about this party. Julian says it is Rebecca's doing, not his. Alistair doesn't understand what Rebecca is up to, but they obviously can't count on her support anymore. Alistair says he will deal with Ethan and Theresa in time, but tonight he will destroy Luis and Sheridan! Julian asks him how? Alistair plays Julian a bit of the tape, and says he is going to allow Luis to hear this tonight at the party! Meanwhile, over at the mansion, Ivy tells Pilar, who came to work, that she should go home and get ready for the party. Pilar agrees, but still worries that Rebecca is up to something. In the living room, Rebecca is overseeing the party arrangements, when a tabloid reporter calls to confirms there is a party here tonight. Rebecca says there is, and that all the Cranes will be here, and so will many important people, such as Sam Bennett. However, she says no press allowed, and only a very determined reporter would try to break in. Later, Julian storms in and demands Rebecca explain to him what is going on, he thought she was on his side. As Rebecca is about to confess, she spots Ivy at the top of the stairs spying on them, so she makes up a story that she is doing it to save face. Ivy confronts Rebecca and says she thought she might be up to something with this party, but now she knows she is only doing it for her own image. Gwen insists she is doing it because she still loves Ethan, and Ivy tells Gwen that she knows she wouldn't do anything to hurt Ethan.
At the Lopez-Fitzgerald house, Theresa and Luis are talking about how happy they are. Theresa also hopes that Luis will be coming to her engagement party tonight. Later, Pilar comes home, and she and Luis tell Theresa that Aunt Maria and Paloma are coming home for the wedding. This news excites Theresa, and she secretly hopes her father will see the wedding announcement and come home as well. Later, Whitney shows up with THeresa's friends, and Theresa tells them that she is engaged to marry Ethan Crane. She wants all her friends to come to the party, but they say they don't have the right clothes to wear. Theresa says they can wear anything they want, she just wants them to be there. Suddenly, there is a knock at the door, and it is a woman with gowns! Ivy Crane has had some gowns sent over for Theresa to try on for the party tonight.
At the cottage, Sheridan and Ethan talk about how happy they are together. Ethan insists Sheridan come to his party tonight, but he says he understands if she has to leave early because she is still recovering. Later, Sheridan jumps in the shower, and Luis shows up as she is finishing. Luis gets all hot and bothered at the site of Sheridan in her robe. Sheridan does everything she can think of to try and convince Luis to make love to her, but he refuses to disobey Eve's orders.
Whitney and Chad go for a walk, and Chad tells Whitney that he enjoyed their time together yesterday, he likes the way he feels when he's with her and he doesn't want to loose it. Chad says her parents respect him now, and everything seems to be coming together for him. Chad says he came to this town with a big chip on his shoulder, but a lot of good things have happened for him since he's been here. Whitney says she hasn't done anything to help him, but Chad says that she has. Chad says he saw the looks she gave him, even when she was angry with him, it always gave him hope. Chad asks Whitney if she ever really wanted him to leave town for good? Whitney says no, she wanted him to stay. Chad and Whitney hold hands and walk along together.
At the Bennetts, Charity and Miguel are asleep in Charity's room. Suddenly, Charity wakes up and realizes that she is going to die tonight! Miguel wakes up and asks Charity who is going to die tonight? Charity says she doesn't know why she said that, and just must have been having a really bad nightmare. In Kay's room, Hecuba tells Kay that killing Charity has proven more difficult than she thought, but she will prevail! Hecuba tells Kay that once she has eliminated Charity, she will get her soul back. However, she cannot eliminate Charity as long as Miguel is around her, because his pure and innocent love protects her. Kay says she has tried to get Miguel away from Charity. Hecuba tells her to try harder because their futures depend on it! Kay goes to Charity's door, and finds Miguel with Charity. Miguel hears Kay and asks her to come in. Miguel says that Charity had a rough night, and he has a feeling that it has something to do with her! Kay comes in, and Charity apologizes to Kay for accusing her of knowing why all those crazy things happened. Kay says it is forgotten, but when they shake, Charity notices that Kay's hand is ice cold! Kay says that it is just a little chilly in here. Charity still can't help but feel that evil is nearby, so Miguel promises not to leave her side. Kay manages to get Miguel away from Charity by persuading him to come have something to eat with her, while Charity stays behind to change. Hecuba casts a spell, and causes a pair of scissors to float towards Charity. Charity manages to duck just in time, and avoids being stabbed in the back. She had to bend down to pick up an angel figurine, which the little angel girl knocked off to save her. Down in the kitchen, Miguel thanks Kay for being such a good sport about Charity's accusation, and he assures her that he didn't take any of it seriously. Charity leaves her room and tells Miguel how her angel figurine flew off her desk, and the scissors on the table flew at her and got stuck in the wall! Kay goes to her room and tells Hecuba that she tried to get Miguel away from Charity, but HEcuba says she needs more time! She must kill CHarity tonight!
Downstairs, Grace talks with Eve about her pregnancy. SHe hasn't told Sam yet and is waiting for the perfect time to do so. Sam shows up and asks what the two of them are whispering about? Eve says they were just talking about Charity and how shook up she was. Sam says they even gave Miguel permission to spend the night in her room in case she had anymore nightmares. TC makes a face, but Sam and Grace trust Miguel completely. Grace thinks they should go to the engagement party tonight, all of them have been invited, but the others don't want to go. Grace knows none of them are crazy about the Cranes, but she says they should go for Pilar's sake, and because it will be one of those events that people will be talking about for years. Grace begins to cave in, and she comments that she just hopes AListair won't be there. TC asks why she would say that, she doesn't even know him. Eve says that the man has just been so patronizing when he's on the phone. Sam says he is just like his son and grandson, and he doesn't want any part of that. Still, Grace says this is an amazing event, so they should go. Sam says he would rather eat worms and stick needles under his fingernails than spend five minutes with Ethan Crane. Sam says that he'll make this up to her, and that they can go out in a few weeks so Grace can show off her new dress, which she just bought. Grace says she won't be able to wear it in a few weeks. Grace realizes now is a good of time as any to tell Sam. She tells him that she has a secret, and she'll give him a million dollars if he can guess it. Sam tells her to just tell him what is going on. Grace says she can't wait a few weeks to wear the dress, because she won't fit into it. Sam asks her why not, is she going on a donut diet? Grace says no, they are going to have a baby! Sam is shocked, but is very happy and excited. Grace says she thinks this is a boy, but she's not sure. Sam says he'd like to have another son a lot. Sam says they have to start thinking of names. There is a knock at the door, and it is Ethan and Theresa. Sam isn't pleased to see Ethan, but Grace is pleased to see Theresa. Theresa asks if Miguel is here? Grace says he is upstairs with Charity. Theresa thanks her, and hopes they will all come to her party tonight. Ethan realizes that they really don't want to attend the party, and he feels bad about that.
Ethan and Theresa go upstairs to see Miguel. Charity and Miguel congratulate them, and Theresa asks them to both come to the party tonight. Miguel doesn't know because Charity isn't up for a big party. Theresa says he only has to stay a little while. Hecuba overhears this and thinks tonight she will be able to kill Charity. Miguel tells Theresa that he can't go out tonight, which angers Hecuba. Theresa accepts his answer, and she and Ethan leave them alone. Charity feels terrible and tells Miguel that he should go to the party. Kay shows up and also tries to persuade Miguel to go to the party tonight as well. Charity insists she will be just fine. Back downstairs, Grace tells Sam not to let Ethan upset him and take away from their good news. Sam says nothing can spoil this, and he really does want another son. Ethan and Theresa return, and Theresa is bummed that Miguel can't come. Eve tells Theresa that she and TC will be there, which pleases Theresa. Theresa asks Grace and Sam if they will come, but Sam says they have other plans. Theresa is a bit hurt, actually a lot hurt, and she leaves. Sam knows Grace is disappointed, but she says it is okay. Sam feels like a louse for not being a sport for a couple hours. Grace says it isn't the party, she feels bad for Theresa, they have known her since she was a baby. Sam caves in and says they will go to the party. Grace tells Sam that he is a terrific husband, and they will have fun tonight.
Outside, Theresa is upset that her brother can't come, and neither can the Bennetts. Ethan says the Bennetts aren't coming because of him.
At the mansion, Alistair tells Julian that he plans on letting Luis hear the tape at the party. Julian asks how he got the tape? Alistair says he had the tape stolen from Eve's office, and he wonders what Luis will say after he hears it. Julian says he will explode, which Alistair is counting on. He says the fallout should also affect Ethan and Theresa, because no Lopez-Fitzgerald will want anything to do with a Crane after hearing this tape. Julian doesn't understand why Eve didn't tell Sheridan the truth long ago? Alistair says that Eve is a bleeding heart and didn't want to break Luis and Sheridan up, romantics are the most vulnerable people of all. Julian asks his father if Eve knows what he is planning to do with the tape? AListair says of course, and she threatened to go to the police, so he threatened to expose the truth about her out of wedlock son to Whitney. AListair coldly tells Julian that it is a good thing that baby died because the scandal would have rocked their family. Julian says that child was his son too, and that he has no heart. Alistair laughs and thanks Julian for the compliment. Julian asks him how he is going to let Luis hear the tape? AListair says he's going to play it tonight at the party so that everyone will hear it! Julian says it will blow their relationship to bits, but Luis could forgive Sheridan. However, AListair is planning to send a copy of the tape to the DA and have Sheridan put behind bars! Julian says that is a bit harsh, but AListair reminds him that if Luis dug deep enough, they would be the ones behind bars, not Sheridan. He also says that letting Sheridan go to jail or a mental institution is better than her getting to close to Luis. Julian still thinks that is harsh, but AListair says that Luis will learn the truth about his father if Sheridan doesn't go to jail instead of them! Alistair tells Julian not to worry too much, after Luis moves away or marries someone else, he'll have Sheridan released and make sure she marries who he wants her to marry. Julian asks his father if he has any feelings for his children? Alistair says that feelings don't count, facts do, and the Crane Empire must come first! He says that feelings only distract people, and after tonight, there will be no more distractions for Ethan or Sheridan!
At the cottage, Sheridan dresses for the party. After dressing, she and Luis kiss, and she wishes he would make love to her. Luis ends the kiss and tells her that she is one dangerous woman, it is taking every bit of his will power to resist her. Luis reminds her of Eve's orders, no strenuous activities. Sheridan jokes that she hasn't signed up for one triathalon this week! Luis says that is not what she meant. Luis decides to take a walk and get some fresh air. Sheridan looks outside and says it looks like it is going to snow again, and how much she loves the snow. Sheridan says she always dreamed of building snowmen when she was little, but her family thought it was an inappropriate activity and never let her build one. Luis tells Sheridan to get her coat and gloves because they are going to go make a snowman. Luis and Sheridan build a snowman, and get into a snowball fight. Julian looks out the window of the mansion and sees the two lovebirds together, and he says they should enjoy their fun while they still can.
At the newspaper office, the editor decides to print the story on Ethan's paternity, and he wants the explosion at the mansion tonight to be heard around the world!
At the Bennett's, Charity tells Miguel not to worry about leaving her home alone, he should go to the party. Kay tells Miguel to think about what the Cranes will think if Theresa's own brother pulls a no show. Charity asks Miguel to go to the party for awhile and tell her about it when he comes home. Still, Miguel doesn't want to leave Charity after all she's gone through. Miguel refuses to leave, which infuriates Hecuba. Hecuba starts trashing Kay's room, and they hear things breaking out in the hall. Kay claims she left her window open and that it must be the wind. Kay goes into her room and scolds Hecuba for trashing it. Hecuba tells Kay that Miguel is a toothbrush away from moving in with her, and that she should try harder to get rid of him, otherwise she won't be able to kill Charity, and she won't get her soul back! Kay tells Hecuba she can at least help her think of a way to get Miguel away from Charity, because that way they'll be one step closer to getting what they both want. Hecuba says she has a point, and thinks of a way to get Miguel to go to the party. Hecuba tells Kay to tell Charity that she will stay home with her tonight, and then Miguel will think she is safe and go to the party. Kay asks if Charity has to die in order for her goodness to be destroyed? Hecuba tells her not to fret over the details, and transports her outside with her magic. Kay tells Miguel that she will stay with Charity tonight, so he'll be able to go to the party. Charity says that is a great idea.
Elsewhere, Grace thanks Sam so much for agreeing to go to Ethan and Theresa's engagement party. Sam decides to celebrate the birth of his son, and decides to break out the champagne, juice for Grace. Grace decides to use the new glasses Eve and TC gave them, so she leaves to get them. Sam asks Eve if Grace is really all right? Eve says so far she is fine, but as with any woman her age, there are risks. Eve tells Sam that Grace needs to be kept calm and relax, and that she could lose the baby if she was to receive a shock. Eve says she doesn't want to worry Sam, but the less excitement the better. Sam hopes Ivy doesn't try to throw herself at him tonight, but TC says that there will be so many people around that she'll never get the chance. Eve also says she doubts Ivy would do anything to embarrass or humiliate Ethan. Still, Sam knows the truth about him and Ivy will come out sooner or later. Eve tells Sam that he can't tell Grace about him and Ivy, and Sam agrees, for the baby's sake. Later, Sam makes a toast to his wonderful wife, their wonderful friends, a great new year, and that nothing will intrude on their happiness. As Grace talks about her new baby, Eve becomes a tad sad when she thinks about the baby she lost. T.C. tells Sam that he is a lucky man because he's always wanted another child, a son. Sam tells T.C. that it could happen. Sam begins to remember Ivy's story about how Ethan was his son, and he tells T.C. that there is no way that punk could be his son. Later, T.C. tells Eve that he knows the reason she was looking sad when Grace was talking about her baby is because she never had the son she always wanted. T.C. tells her that it isn't too late for them to try for a son.
Kay and Charity walk Miguel out, he has decided to go to the party after all. Kay then sees her parents celebrating, and wonders what they are celebrating? Charity smiles and says that Aunt Grace is pregnant! Sam asks her how she knows? Charity says she's not sure, so Grace says she must be glowing. Charity is happy for them, but Kay can't seem to be happy without her soul. Sam and Grace leave to get changed, but Charity stops them and tells them that they shouldn't go to this party. Sam asks why they shouldn't go? Charity isn't sure, but she has a feeling that something horrible is going to happen tonight and it has something to do with his son. Sam asks "You mean Noah?" Charity says not Noah, but she does see him with a son very soon. Grace says she isn't due for months. Charity apologizes when she realizes she isn't making any sense. Sam is glad that the two of them are staying home tonight. Charity says they will just eat popcorn by the fire, but Hecuba plans to make sure that Charity is IN the fire!
Whitney and Chad are still walking hand in hand through the park. Whitney can't believe they are going to get ready for Theresa and Ethan's engagement party, and she says this is like a fairy tale come true. Chad says there was a time when he didn't believe in fairy tales, but now maybe he does. Whitney, however, knows that no man on a white horse will come riding into her life and hand her a happy ending, she is not a dreamer like Theresa and was raised to know that you must earn what you get in this life. Chad looks at Whitney and tells her that she never knows! Whitney says she needs to practice her tennis and not let anything distracts her, so Chad suggests they practice right now. Chad throws balls at WHitney, and unfortunately she ends up nailing Chad right in the mouth! Whitney says she is sorry and asks if he is okay? Chad says nothing is broken, but he is okay. Whitney is concerned, so CHad tells her that a little TLC wouldn't hurt. Whitney kisses her fingers and touches his lips, which Chad says is a start. Whitney and Chad then share a kiss. Whitney tells Chad that they better get back, because he has a habit of making her forget the time. Chad apologizes, but she tells him not to, she likes his laid back attitude. Whitney knows now that living life by the ticking of a clock isn't living at all, and he made her realize that. Whitney and Chad go back home and change. Whitney has on a strapless red satin dress, which takes Chad's breath away. Chad can't figure out how to tie his tie, so Whitney help him. Eve returns home and sees the two together, and she realizes how close they are getting. SHe hopes letting them be together wasn't a mistake. TC arrives and says that Chad and Whitney both look great. Before heading off to the party, Eve and Chad share a dance, and Whitney and TC share a dance. As Eve and Chad dance, the song they are dancing to brings back memories of losing her child. Meanwhile, TC tells Whitney that he's never seen Chad so happy, and that he hopes Chad finds his parents. TC then cuts in and dances with Eve, so Chad dances with Whitney. Eve becomes even more troubled when she sees them dancing, but TC is positive that Chad and Whitney are just friends.
Ethan walks Theresa home and tells her not to be sad about Miguel, this is just one party, and that they will have a lifetime of them. Theresa knows Ethan is right, and Ethan promises her that nothing will ever come between them. Theresa realizes she needs to have her hair done, but she doesn't have time to make a hair appointment! Ethan tells her not to worry, and to go inside. Theresa goes inside, where she is surprised with a make-over. Theresa hugs Ethan and tells him that she really does feel like Cinderella before the ball. Theresa says she never imagined it could be like this, not in her wildest dreams. Ethan tells her that he enjoys making her dreams come true, and he loves seeing the world through her eyes. Ethan tells her that she is so innocent, and so honest about every thing, which makes Theresa feel guilty. Pilar comes home, and asks what is all of this? Theresa tells her that this is the future, and their lives are about to change forever! Pilar is given a make-over as well, and ends up with a sheik new do, tons of jewels around her neck, and a grey and black satin dress with lots of sequins. Theresa comes out in a red and pink evening dress with her hair tightly wrapped in a bun like hairdo. Theresa tells her mom that this is how she should always look, she is just sad that Miguel can't come. Pilar says he cares so much for CHarity, and she is so glad that Grace and Sam are not coming to this party, because if the truth came out about Sam and Ivy it would devastate Grace. Theresa says the Bennetts aren't coming, so nothing bad can possibly happen tonight. Later, Miguel arrives and tells Theresa that not only will he be at the party, the Bennetts will be too. Theresa is thrilled, but Pilar is not. Pilar knows that this is going to lead to trouble. Pilar fears that Ivy is going to try and rekindle her past with Sam tonight, and she also knows Rebecca is up to something. Theresa, ever the optimist, tells her mom to try and relax. A limo driver shows up to pick up Theresa and Pilar. Theresa tells her mom that this is the start of a whole new life for them, and that her dream has come true!
At the newspaper office, the reporter and the editor plot to expose the truth about Ethan at the engagement party, which they know Sam Bennett and his wife will be attending. The editor wonders if Grace has any clue that Ivy gave birth to her husband's bastard son. The reporter looks into Grace's past, and learns that Grace was rescued by Sam from a fire and has amnesia, so unless someone told her, she has no idea that Sam and Ivy were sweethearts. The editor says he wants a picture of Grace when she hears the truth for the first time. The reporter dresses up in his tux and plans to crash the Crane party. His editor tells him not to forget his camera! We then see a shot of the paper which reads "Ethan Crane is Sam Bennetts Son!"
At the mansion, Rebecca and Gwen are getting everything ready for the party. Gwen isn't sure if this will work, but Rebecca knows that an earthquake will rock the very foundation of the Crane Empire, and the whole world will know that Ethan is not a Crane. Gwen feels bad for Ethan, but Rebecca says you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs. She also says that there is nothing she can do to keep the truth from coming out now. Rebecca is positive that nobody can trace this back to them, and when Ethan learns that Theresa knew the truth and kept it from him, he will dump her. Still, Gwen fears that Ethan could still marry Theresa. Rebecca says that Ethan will never forgive Theresa or Pilar, and Gwen realizes her mother is right, this will convince Ethan that Theresa is really a plotter and schemer. Later, Ethan shows up and thanks Rebecca for the party and the painting of him and his father. Ethan also thanks Gwen, and hopes she will always be a part of his life, and that she and Theresa can be friends again one day. Ethan decides to go upstairs and change, but Gwen stops him and says that she has something to tell him, about them. Gwen tells Ethan that she still loves him, and that if anything bad ever happened to him that she'd always be here for him. Ethan thanks her for her honesty, and says Theresa is the same way. Ethan leaves to change, and Rebecca assures Gwen that Ethan will be begging to take her back!
Luis shows up at the cottage in a tux, and with a red rose, to pick up Sheridan. Sheridan is wearing a black sequin dress. Luis tells her that she looks more beautiful every time he sees her. Luis and Sheridan kiss, and Sheridan thanks Luis for the rose. He tells her that the rose pales in comparison to her beauty. Sheridan invites Luis in for a bit of champagne before they head to the party. Sheridan thought they could share a toast to both Ethan and Theresa, and this incredible night. Luis tells Sheridan that later tonight, he is going to take her in his arms and make passionate love to her. Sheridan tells Luis that they do have to go to the party, but the minute it is over, they will share their first night of love together. Luis wants to make love right now, but Sheridan tells him to be patient. However, she does have something to show him before they go, something for him to look forward to while they are at the party. Sheridan takes Luis to the bedroom, which is filled with flowers and candles. Luis thinks they should just skip the party, but Sheridan tells him that they can't do that. She promises him that they won't stay long (If they do, the cottage might burn down!).
At the mansion, the Russells and Chad stop to look at the limo which has just pulled up, and they wonder who is in it. Theresa, Pilar, and Miguel step out! Whitney tells Theresa that she is so happy for her, and Eve tells Theresa that she looks like a princess and Pilar looks like a queen. Eve is thrilled that Theresa is so happy, and TC hopes Ethan keeps her that way for the rest of her lives. Chad suggests they go inside and dig into the food waiting for them. Miguel notices his mom looks worried, so he asks what is wrong? Pilar says she is very worried about this party, and what Rebecca and Gwen might be up to. Miguel tells her mom that everything will be fine.
Julian is sitting in his study and being forced to listen to the tape of Sheridan's confession. Alistair can't wait for Luis to hear the tape, and the fallout should ruin Ethan and Theresa's relationship as well. Julian looks out the window and sees that Eve has just arrived. AListair tells Julian to stop staring and start preparing. Alistair says they will play the tape for Luis first, because he wants Luis to look at Sheridan and see the blood on her hands. Julian asks "What if Luis think it is a fake?" AListair says that Luis knows Sheridan's voice, there is no way he can't know it is a fake. Suddenly, Eve walks into the office and calls Julian, and Alistiar who is on the phone, bastards! Alistair tells Eve that he and Julian were just chatting about how kind it was of her to not erase this tape, it will come in very handy. Eve refuses to allow them to use the tape. Alistair says if she does anything to stop them then her daughters will learn all about Eve's past. Alistair wonders how Whitney would react if she was to learn that her mother was a cheap whore! When Alistair starts talking about her dead baby, Julian tells his father to show some sort of respect for their dead son. Eve tells Julian not to even act like he cared about their son, he left her when he found out she was pregnant! Julian says he wouldn't put it that way, so Eve asks him how exactly would he put it? Eve calls Julian a coward for not wanting to be burdened with her or his black son, who he never even saw! Alistair says discussing this is a waste of time because her son is dead, and in place of him is a true Crane, Ethan! When Eve asks Alistair what he's going to do with the tape, Alistair says he is going to play the tape for Luis and Sheridan tonight!
The party has begun, and is well attended. Gwen feels stupid, but Rebecca tells her to keep her eye on the prize, Ethan! Rebecca says the news will break any minute now, and Ethan will be hers once again. Ivy and Ethan show up, and Ivy tells Rebecca that this is a lovely party, she has outdone herself. Ethan thanks Gwen for being a good friend, and then wonders where Theresa is. Rebecca says that she is probably just making herself look beautiful for him, and she knows that this will be a night no one will ever forget. Theresa and Pilar arrive, and Ethan tells them both how beautiful they look. Theresa says the night is already so magical, but Ethan says that every moment he spends with her is magical. Ethan thanks everyone for coming tonight to celebrate their love, and for everyone to come on in and have a good time. Ivy seeks Eve out and tells her that it might not be such a good idea for Whitney and Chad to be getting so friendly, after all Chad could be her son! Eve says that her baby is dead, Sam can't be her son! Ivy says that Julian and Alistair can't be trusted, so Chad could be her son. Meanwhile, Rebecca and Gwen continue to wonder where the reporter is. When Rebecca goes to look for him, she ends up face to face with Ivy, who wonders what she is up to. Ivy asks Rebecca why she has a reporter coming to this house? Rebecca says that they need the right kind of reporter covering this event, reporters from well respected newspapers are coming so that the tabloids can't report any wild stories about the party. Ivy says that Rebecca does have a point, but she doesn't understand why she has gone to great lengths for this party. Rebecca says that Ethan is like family to them, so they just want to show their support for him and Theresa. Ivy tells Rebecca that she doesn't buy it, she knows exactly what she is up to! Ivy knows Rebecca is trying to score points with Ethan because she thinks she can worm her way into the house as Julian's wife one day. Ivy tells Rebecca that she and Julian will never divorce, and she will never come between her and Ethan. Rebecca says that she knows she and Ethan have a close relationship, obviously because they are so open and honest with one another. Ivy tells Rebecca that there is nothing she can use against her to cause her and Julian to divorce, so she can have her romps with Julian, but she'll never be Mrs. Julian Crane! After Ivy leaves, Rebecca says that Ivy will get what she deserves very soon! Meanwhile, Ethan catches Pilar doing work, making sure the party is perfect, and he tells her that she is here as a guest, not an employee! Ethan goes off to talk to a friend, and Theresa asks her mom to stop worrying, at least for tonight. Pilar says that the Cranes have many secrets, and if any are revealed, her and Luis' lives could be destroyed. Later, Theresa thanks Gwen and Rebecca for the wonderful party. Gwen tells Theresa that they just want to make sure she gets everything she deserves. Rebecca tells Theresa that she doesn't have to thank them, the look on her face when she gets her big surprise will be thanks enough! Theresa asks "You mean there's more?" Rebecca tells her that the best is yet to come! Elsewhere, Chad tells Whitney that one day he will own a place like this. Whitney tells CHad that it is okay to work hard and make his dreams come true, but not to sell his soul in the process like the Cranes have done. After more guests show up, Ethan asks for everyone's attention. He tells everyone that he stands before them as the happiest man in the world, his life began anew when he met Theresa. Ethan says, since meeting Theresa, he sees life in a whole new way and is grateful that Theresa agreed to be his wife. Ethan then asks everyone to toast to the most beautiful woman in the world. This infuriates Gwen, and she tells her mother that she will not stand here and listen to Ethan declare his love for that gold digging tramp! Rebecca tells Gwen that it won't be long before Theresa is blown out of the water!
At the newspaper, the tabloid reporter leaves for the party with a copy of the latest edition of their paper, which reveals the truth about Ethan. Later, the reporter arrives at the estate, and tells the guard that he is a friend of Julian Cranes and has a message for him, one that will change his life forever! In his hand he holds a copy of the newspaper with the story of Ethan on the front page.
Outside the mansion, the reporter fails to get inside. The guard can't be bribed, and he tells the reporter that nobody gets inside who isn't on the list. The reporter isn't about to give up, so he snoops around and sees caterers unloading supplies at the service entrance. He decides to try and sneak into the mansion through it because there are no guards around.
As Luis and Sheridan are walking to the party, Sheridan is overcome by a feeling that someone is trying to break them up. She asks Luis if he'll always love her no matter what? Luis says that he loves her more than life itself, and he'll always love her. He says that he feels the same way about his dad, he'll always love him and do anything for him.
At the mansion, Alistair not only tells Eve that he will tell WHitney about her bastard son, but that he will tell the medical board about the source of this tape and how she lied to her patient, which will result in her medical license being revoked. Eve calls Alistair and Julian dirt and runs out of the room.
At the party, everyone is enjoying themselves, except Gwen. Gwen wants to split, but Rebecca refuses to allow her to leave. Rebecca says the truth will come out soon, so she should just be patient and try and smile. On the dance floor, Chad and Whitney have a talk about money and jobs. Whitney asks Chad if it would bother him if his wife had a mansion of her own, or if she made more money than he did? CHad says no, and that he wants his marriage to be an equal partnership, so whatever makes his wife happy makes him happy. Elsewhere, Ivy has to scold Pilar for straightening up napkins. Pilar continues to worry, but Ivy says nobody can hurt their children, they are happy and in love. Luis and Sheridan show up, and they greet Ethan and Theresa. Ethan realizes the tent is open, so he suggests everyone go out and enjoy the dance floor.
On the dance floor, Chad and Whitney continue to talk about money and how Ethan was born into it. Whitney asks Chad how he would feel if he woke up one day and was Julian Crane's son? Chad doubts that would ever happen because he didn't see any black faces on the wall inside where the family portraits were hanging. However, Chad says if there was a black Crane out there, he'd love to meet the mother of the child because she has guts to put up with the Crane's racism. Meanwhile, Luis really wants to leave the party and jump into a bubble bath with Sheridan, but she says that she can't leave Ethan just yet. Eve shows up and sees them together and says that Alistair can't destroy their love!
At Tabitha's house, Timmy has formulated a plan for him and his princess to escape from Harmony. Timmy has made himself a fake passport, and plans to make Tabitha one as well. Tabitha reminds him that she can't be photographed, but Timmy has a solution. Timmy melts some candles and spreads it over Tabitha's face to make a wax mask. He then puts make up on it, while Tabitha is wearing it, and takes a picture of her. He then puts the finishing touches on it on his computer, sends a copy to Harper Collins for the book jacket, and then makes her a passport. Finally, Timmy looks up a motel where they can stay while they wait until it is safe to go to Aruba (sp?). Tabitha asks what type of motel this is. As they are leaving, Timmy says it is a small, family run motel, and when they get there they are supposed to ask for Norman. Tabitha wonders why this place sounds so familiar.
