January 2000 Week 1

Monday

January 3
At the Bennetts house, Kay can't believe that Miguel hasn't noticed how beautiful she is. Charity tells Kay and Simone that they look beautiful, and the teens decide to head off to the Youth Center. Simone tries to make Kay face reality and give up on Miguel, but Kay says tonight is her last chance to snag Miguel, so she is going to give it everything she's got. As they take off, Tabby and Timmy follow them.

At the Youth Center, Whitney asks Chad to keep his distance from Simone tonight. Chad says he is here to work, but he will say "hi" and "happy new year" to her so as not to be rude. They argue, and Whitney tells him that perhaps he should make a resolution not to be sarcastic. Chad says that his resolution is to find out more about himself, and she should do the same. Whitney says she knows who she is, but Chad asks her if she really does, or if she only knows who her parents want her to be.

The rest of the teens show up, and Whitney tells her sister that she is supposed to make sure she stays away from Chad tonight. Simone tells her sister to back off, and walks up to Chad and says hi. Later, Simone and Kay watch Charity dance. Kay thinks she has a way to get them apart, but she'll need Simone's help. Later, Reese and Kay dance when Reese thinks Kay is avoiding him. Simone asks Chad to dance, but he tells her that he has to setup the next song. Simone decides to just hang out with Chad, and Whitney can't stop to seem thinking about Chad. Simone and Kay meet up once again and plot to break up Charity and Miguel at midnight.

Timmy and Tabitha show up, and Tabitha is now wearing a skull mask to accompany her black robe and scythe. They go inside and decide to blend into the crowd. Unfortunately, Beth asks Tabitha to leave because it isn't a costume party, and that scythe is a bit scary. Suddenly, Beth realizes who she is. She thinks she is another one of Sheridan Crane's surprises, so she tells them to enjoy everything. Timmy wants to enjoy the cakes and cookies, but Tabitha tells them they don't have time because they have to find Charity!

Chad tells everyone to get ready for the Millennium! Tabitha cuts the lights, and Simone uses a cord to trip up Charity and Miguel. Unfortunately, she trips Whitney right into Chad's arms! Elsewhere, Kay ends up in Miguel's arms, but he thinks she is Charity, and Charity is alone and is about to be beheaded by Tabitha!

A kid tells Luis and Hank that some guy just forced a woman into a car. The kid describes the woman, car, and man to Luis, and he realizes that his father has kidnapped Sheridan. Hank decides to head to Sheridan's place, and Luis says he'll go to the Seascape. In Sheridan's car, Martin holds Sheridan hostage and plans to use her to get what he wants. When she asks what will happen if he doesn't get what he wants, he tells her "bang bang, your dead!" Martin directs Sheridan to drive to the Seascape

Theresa meets up with Gwen at Ethan at the Seascape. Gwen asks her where her boyfriend is? Theresa says he will be meeting them here, and she decides to go call him to make sure he's left. Gwen doubts that Theresa has a boyfriend, but Ethan tells her that he's sure Theresa's boyfriend will show up. Theresa calls Whitney for advice. Whitney thinks she should just leave, but Theresa says she can't and is positive that it will work out. Ethan approaches Theresa and asks if her boyfriend is here yet? Theresa says no, but he will be. Ethan is sure of it because he knows she wouldn't betray his trust. Theresa returns to the table, and an old friend of Ethan's named Drew shows up. Ethan and Gwen decide to dance, and Theresa decides to dance with Drew. Suddenly, an announcement is made that everyone must switch dance partners with the couple on their left, so Ethan and Theresa end up dancing together. When Gwen asks Theresa if her boyfriend won't be jealous if he saw her dancing with Drew, Theresa tells Gwen that her boyfriend is not the jealous type. As they dance, Theresa fantasizes about Ethan telling her he loves her and kissing her. Ethan and Gwen once again begin to dance, and Gwen tries to get Ethan to admit that Theresa doesn't have a boyfriend. Theresa runs into her mom and begs her for help. Pilar tells Theresa that she warned her that this would happen, and now she must tell Ethan the truth.

The Russells and Bennetts are shocked to learn that they will be sitting with Ivy and Julian, and it is Ivy who will present Eve with her award. Julian drags Ivy off to pick out some champagne, and once they are alone, he scolds her for setting this up. He doesn't understand why she tricked them to coming here, but he will find out why. He then realizes that Sam being here may be to his benefit. Ivy asks him what he is talking about? Julian tells Ivy that he has to leave at midnight and he needs her to cover for him. Ivy asks why, so Julian tells Ivy that he has Martin Fitzgerald locked in their basement! Ivy screams "What!" and Julian tells her to keep her voice down! Julian explains that Martin tried to blackmail him, so he locked him in the basement and will take care of him tonight. Ivy asks him what he will do to Martin? Julian tells her to relax because he's just going to send him out of the country on a Crane jet. Later, Pilar warns Ivy once again to forget about Sam, but Ivy refuses to give up on Sam.

Back at the table, Grace tells Eve that she heard the girls talking about an article which stated that whoever's arms your in at midnight is who you will be with for the rest of the year. Elsewhere, Sam and TC realize that Ivy set them up so that she could be with Sam tonight. Later, Eve dances with TC, and Sam dances with Grace. Sam excuses himself to check on Jessica, and Ivy confronts him after his call. They both remember a New Years they spent together when Sam promised Ivy, in bed, that he'd never leave her. Sam tells her that was a long time ago and warns Ivy to stay out of his and Grace's lives! Sam storms off, and Ivy tells herself that she can't stay out of his life. Later, as the countdown commences, Sam and Grace are in one another's arms, but Sam rushes to get some champagne.

Martin and Sheridan show up at the restaurant, and when they hear someone coming, Martin orders her to climb onto the roof. Luis finds Sheridan's car and calls Hank to tell him that Sheridan is at the Seascape, so that kid must have mistakenly saw a lovers quarrel. Hank thanks Luis and hopes he rings the New Year in with the woman of his dreams in his arms. Luis thinks about dancing with Sheridan, but decides to head back to the youth center. On the roof, Sheridan sees Luis and screams for help. Luis races up the fire escape and pulls a gun on Martin. Luis tells him to freeze, but Martin pulls his gun on Sheridan. Luis tells MArtin that he will shoot him if he doesn't drop the gun. Martin asks his son if he'd really shoot his old man? Luis pleads with his father to let her go, but he says he can't do that. Luis asks him what kind of man he is? Martin says he's the same man he always has been, but Luis says he is not the same man his father once was. Martin says he made some bad choices which would hurt his mother if she knew the truth. Martin begs Luis to let him go, but Luis wants him to let Sheridan go. Martin says he can't because he needs her as insurance until he gets what he needs. Martin once again asks Luis to let him go, and he promises never to return. Luis refuses, which angers Martin. Martin says that the Cranes used him and threw him away when they were done with him. He asks Luis if he'd really choose Sheridan over his own father? Luis says he will always choose right over wrong. Martin and Sheridan continue to back away from Luis, who warns them to stop. Martin ends up tripping and both he and Sheridan fall towards the skylight. Luis reaches forward and grabs Sheridan, but Martin crashes through the skylight. Martin crashes down to the ground, and his face is covered n blood. Julian says it is Martin, and Ivy screams and rushes into Sam's arms. Theresa rushes to her Papa, but Ethan grabs her and holds her back, much to Gwen's dismay. Pilar rushes to her husband and cries over his body. Up on the roof, Sheridan is in Luis' arms as fireworks explode overhead, and Hank shows up and sees Luis with Sheridan.

Tuesday

January 4
At the seascape, Martin falls through the skylight, and Julian exclaims it is Martin Fitzgerald! Ivy rushes into Sam's arms, Eve back into Julian's arms, and Ethan ends up holding Theresa. Eve realizes she is in Julian's arms, and remembers making love to him. TC asks what is going on here? Eve says she thought she was in his arms. As Grace looks at Ivy and Sam, she remembers hearing Kay talk about the person's arms your in at midnight is the person you'll be with for the rest of the year. Sam returns to Grace, who tells him to do what he has to do. Pilar rushes to her husband, and Eve pronounces him dead.

Hank is disturbed when he sees Sheridan in Luis arms. Sheridan cries to Luis and tells him that she's so sorry and she doesn't know how to repay him for saving her life again. Hank asks them what happened, so Sheridan explains everything that happened to him. Hank tells Luis that he's so sorry. Luis says he wished it hadn't happened, but if he had to do it over, he'd do the same thing. Hank tells Luis that he's going to have to go explain what happened to Sam.

Luis heads downstairs and checks on his family. Pilar asks Luis what happened, so he explained what happened to his mom and Sam. Sam tells Luis that he did the right thing, as does Pilar. Luis thinks he killed their father, but Theresa tells him that it wasn't his fault.

Elsewhere, Gwen is angry that Theresa has yet again avoided producing her boyfriend. Ethan asks her if she thinks she arranged for her father to fall through the skylight? Gwen says no, and tells Ethan to just take her home because there is nothing they can do here. She says she needs to be alone with him and start the New Year together. Ethan agrees, and kisses Gwen. He tells her that he will go get the car. On his way out, Ethan hears Theresa telling her mom and brother that this is her fault.

At the youth center, Whitney trips on a cord, and falls into Chad's arms. Simone is not pleased when she sees them together. Simone asks them what is going on? Whitney says she fell, and thanks Chad for catching her. Chad tells her she is welcomed, and then wishes Simone a happy new year and gives her a kiss on the cheek. When Whitney tries to leave, Simone grabs Whitney and asks her what she was doing in her man's arms at midnight? Whitney says it was an accident, but Simone doesn't believe her and accuses her of throwing herself at Chad. Simone tells Whitney that she saw the look on her face when Chad was holding onto her, and she didn't step away from him once she got her balance. Whitney assures Simone that she has no interest in Chad Harris. They start arguing about Chad and boys in general. Simone tells Whitney that she is pathetic because she doesn't have a boyfriend yet, and by time she is her age, Simone swears that she will have Chad as her boyfriend.

Miguel mistakenly grabs Kay in the dark, thinking she is Charity, and Tabitha is about to behead Charity! Unfortunately for Tabitha, Reese grabs Charity just as Tabitha swings at her, and suddenly her blade turns to rubber. She doesn't understand what has happened. Timmy tells Tabitha that something very weird is going on. Tabitha suggests that they get some air, so they leave. Miguel apologizes to Kay, and Reese apologizes to Charity, because he thought she was Kay. Miguel and Reese find their real dates, and wish each other a happy new year.

Kay gets a call from Hank about Miguel's father, so she is forced to break the news to Miguel about his dad's accident. Miguel realizes that his father is dead.

Outside, the angel girl appears to Tabitha and Timmy. The angel girl is crying, which shocks Tabitha. Tabitha asks her why she's crying, Charity and Miguel aren't dead? The angel girl says that someone else died tonight, an evil man. Tabitha asks her why she's so upset then? The angel says this man's soul is condemned for all time, and his death will cause grief for the good people of Harmony for the rest of the year. Tabitha loves this news and asks if she has anymore? Suddenly, all the teens leave the party. The angel tells Tabitha that Miguel and Charity will suffer because of this death, and Charity could be lost to the darkside. Tabitha asks when, where, why will it happen? The angel says that she's already said too much, so she disappears. Tabitha and Timmy high-five one another over the good news.

The teens go to the Bennett home, and Miguel heads to the restaurant to be with his family. Kay asks Simnone to stay behind and watch Charity so she can go be with Miguel, but Simone says Chad needs her tonight. Later, Timmy and Tabitha show up at the Bennetts. Tabitha wants to convince Charity to come over to the dark side because with her powers, she could destroy everyone in Harmony. Timmy tells her that Miguel will keep Charity pure and good, which is why Tabitha says they have to keep Miguel and Charity apart.

Miguel and Whitney show up at the restaurant, and Miguel learns that his father really is dead. Sam says he needs to get a positive ID on the body, and as Sheridan looks at the sheet covered corpse, she has flashbacks of killing someone in the mansion. Sam asks Luis and Sheridan if they can ID Martin, and they do. Julian also identifies him as Martin. Kay shows up to be with Miguel, and Sam tells her that she should go home with her mom. Sam thinks Luis should go home as well, but Luis insists on staying and helping. Sam tells Luis that he needs Pilar to identify Martin. Pilar agrees, so Sam lifts the sheet. Pilar isn't sure because of the blood and the beard. She says it could be him, but she's not sure. Ivy tells Julian that he's awfully calm, and Julian says why shouldn't he be? Julian says they can't connect Martin to him, so he's no longer a threat. Sam decides to search Martin to try and locate some ID. He finds Martin's passport and drivers license, as well as a local phone number! When Sam suggest they call the number, Ivy panics. Sam decides to call the number, and it is Julian Crane's private line! Everyone stares at Julian, who just keeps on drinking.

Whitney finds Theresa outside and tries to comfort her. Theresa believes this is all her fault. Whitney asks her what she's talking about? Theresa says that she prayed fate would save her, and it did, but someone had to die. Theresa cries in Whitney's arms. Whitney tries to convince her that this isn't her fault, but Theresa thinks it is, just like the Christmas tree was her fault. Theresa tells Whitney that she has to put a stop to this, she has to find Ethan and tell him the truth. Whitney tells Theresa that she shouldn't talk to Ethan in this condition, she should go home and calm down. Theresa says if she doesn't tell him now, she might not get the nerve to do it again. Theresa thinks she has to tell him the truth before someone else dies, but Whitney thinks she should calm down before talking to him. She begs Theresa to stay away from Ethan for the time being. Whitney leaves to find her mom, and Theresa tells herself that she has to find Ethan and tell him the truth now. Theresa goes searching for Ethan, and finally runs into him in front of the Seascape. Theresa tells Ethan that she has to tell him something, but all she does is cry that it is her fault that her father died. Gwen walks outside and can't believe Ethan is comforting Theresa, when he claimed he wanted to find and comfort Pilar.

At the hospital, Orville wakes up and realizes if Chad finds his birth certificate, he'll know everything. However, Orville can't recall where it is, but realizes he has to find it. He gets out of bed and sneaks out of the hospital. Orville wanders the streets trying to remember where Chad's birth certificate could be.

Simone returns to the youth center to be with Chad. The center is empty and Simone tells Chad that she thought she'd keep him company. Chad gets a call from a nurse at the hospital, who tells him that Orville has disappeared. Chad and Simone decide to head off to find Orville.

Wednesday

January 5
At the Seascape, Kay comforts Miguel over the loss of his father. She promises to make him feel better and get him through this. Miguel tells Kay that their special closeness means a lot to him, especially now. He hugs her, and then goes to be with his family. Grace tells Kay that she should go home now, but Kay says Miguel still needs her. Grace tells her daughter that Miguel has his family and Charity, which angers Kay. Kay says she means more to Miguel than Charity ever could! Grace asks Kay what is going on, but she says she just wouldn't understand. Whitney finds Miguel and tells him that she has more bad news, Theresa wants to tell Ethan the truth because she blames herself for their father's death.

Sam and Luis ask Julian why Martin Fitzgerald would have his private phone number on him? Julian says he doesn't know why he had it, and he never tried to contact him. Pilar tells Julian that there must be a connection between her husband and him that he is not telling them.

Eve gets a call from the hospital and learns that Orville has escaped, and a nurse called Chad. She's thankful that Simone is supposedly at the Bennetts, because if she knew about this she'd be out with Chad searching for Orville. TC and Eve once again start arguing about Chad and whether he is a good kid or a street kid.

Outside, Gwen is furious when she finds Ethan comforting Theresa, who thinks her father's death is her fault. Gwen yells for a taxi and runs off. Ethan sees her leave, but continues to comfort Theresa, even though he doesn't understand why she is blaming herself. Theresa tells Ethan that she has to tell him what really happened.

Sheridan tells Hank that she will never be able to repay Luis for saving her. Hank offers to take Sheridan home, but she doesn't want to go home. Sheridan is afraid that Luis is feeling guilty about saving her over his father, but Hank tells her that Luis did the right and logical thing. Sheridan says this is not logical, despite everything that has gone on between them, a father and child still have a deep connection. Hank asks if they are talking about Luis and Martin, or her and her father? Sheridan guesses both.

Sheridan and Hank go back inside, and Sheridan tells Pilar and Luis that she is sorry. Pilar tells Sheridan that she is just glad she is safe. Sheridan comforts Luis, and Hank stands and watches as Sheridan hugs Luis.

Luis and Sam once again question Julian as to why Martin had his phone number. Julian says that before it was his number it was his father's, so perhaps Martin came back to Harmony hoping to contact him or Alastair to try and get back on his feet. Sam asks Ivy what she knows about Martin coming back to town? Ivy says she had no idea he was here, and she hadn't seen or heard from him in years. Luis and Sam discuss the case and both agree that Julian is lying, but they can't prove it. However, Luis vows to find out the truth. Luis confronts Julian and tells him that he knows everything he said about his father was a lie. Luis tells Julian that he will find out exactly what he and his father were up to. Meanwhile, Sam is alone with Ivy and decides to question her about this night. Sam accuses Ivy of tricking him into coming here tonight. He warns Ivy that if he has to, he will tell Grace the truth about them, and if Julian learned the truth, she'd be the one with the most to lose.

Pilar and Grace walk outside, and Theresa runs into her mom's arms and asks her to forgive her. Pilar asks what she should forgive her for? Grace and Ethan leave them to talk, and THeresa tells Pilar that it is her fault that Papa is dead. Pilar tells Theresa not to even think that. Ethan returns, and Pilar begs Ethan to help her because Theresa is about to collapse. Ethan picks her up and carries her off.

Ethan and Pilar take Theresa home, and Theresa continues to tell Ethan that she has to tell him what happened. Ethan promises that he won't leave her side. As he sits by her bed, the shot pans to Theresa's bulletin board where a picture of Ethan is hanging. Miguel shows up to take care of Theresa and to stop Theresa from telling Ethan the truth. However, Theresa tells Ethan not to go because she has to tell him what she did. Miguel tells Ethan that she is just in shock. Ethan tells Miguel that they should call Theresa's boyfriend, so he decides to start looking for it.

Hank takes Sheridan home, and she continues to talk about Luis and the pain in his eyes. Gwen shows up to talk to Sheridan, but she didn't know Hank was here. Sheridan tells her it is okay, and Hank decides to leave so they can talk. Sheridan asks Gwen where Ethan is? Gwen tells her that he's with Theresa of course. Gwen says she feels bad for Theresa, but Ethan was so kind, gentle, and caring towards her. Sheridan says she can't be mad at him for that, he is a gentle and caring guy. Sheridan says she wasn't the first time she saw them together, but then she saw them together a second time. Gwen then tells Sheridan that she heard some women talking about a magazine article about being with the man whose arms your in at midnight, and of course Ethan was with Theresa. Sheridan remembers being in Luis' arms, and asks Gwen to tell her more about that prediction. Gwen asks her whose arms she was in? Sheridan says she was in Luis', and Gwen teases her. Sheridan says it is just a silly predication, but Gwen thinks it is real. She also thinks that Sheridan wants to be with Luis, and she asks her if she's falling in love with him? Sheridan tells him of course not!

Hank goes out drinking and tells the bartender that his big night was a bust, but he won't be giving up on her. When his phone rings, Hank answers it thinking it is Sheridan, but it's not! Hank asks whoever is on the other end how they got this number? They asks where he is? Hank tells him that they'll never know, and he's finished with them.

Chad and Simone are wandering the streets of Harmony looking for Chad, but Simone is having second thoughts about finding him because Orville warned Chad he would die if he kept searching for his past. Chad says that is a chance he'll have to take, and he thinks he knows where Orville might be.

Orville goes back to his house and begins looking for Chad's birth certificate. Orville eventually finds the certificate hidden in a book. Chad and Simone soon show up, and bang on the door. As Chad demands Orville open the door, Orville burns his birth certificate! Chad barges in and manages to grab his birth certificate, or what is left of it. Chad's name is written over someone else's on it, and Chad asks Orville's whose birth certificate this is? Orville tells him it is his. Chad demands Orville tell him everything he knows and tell him now. Orville warns him that he'll only bring heartache and pain to anyone here. He tells him that nobody wanted him when he was born, and he should go before it is too late. Chad blows up and refuses to go anywhere until the old man tells him the truth. Orville starts singing and then shuts down. Simone brings Orville some water and tells Chad that he has to stop trying to come down on Orville because he's obviously not well.

Chad and Simone bring Orville back to the hospital, and a nurse calls Eve to tell her that they brought Orville back. Eve is furious to learn that Simone was out with Chad and not at the Bennetts. Eve, Whitney, and TC show up, and Eve tells Simone that she is in such big trouble. Eve goes in to check on Orville and wonders what he is hiding. Orville wakes up and he tells Eve that he tried to destroy the evidence, but Chad walked in, and there is more evidence. Orville warns Eve not to let Chad Harris fall in love with her daughters. Back in the hall, Simone and Whitney argue about Chad. Simone accuses her sister of being jealous that she was with Chad when they found Orville.

Thursday

January 6
Tabitha and Timmy are walking through Harmony and Timmy is dragging a very heavy bag. Tabitha tells Timmy that they have to make sure that Charity turns to the dark side. Timmy asks Tabitha where they are going anyways? Tabitha points to the cemetery, which makes Timmy panic. Tabitha says they are just going to visit some of her old friends, and wake one of them up. Timmy and Tabitha search the grave yard for one of Tabitha's old friends from the 17th century, the grave of a wicked witch. Timmy ends up finding Tabitha's grave, which reads "Here lies evil . . Tabitha Lenox" Timmy panics, but Tabitha says it is only her grave. Timmy asks how she can have a grave and not be in it? As Tabitha is about to tell him, she spots her friend's grave, Matilda Matthews. Tabitha tells Timmy that she'll explain another time, and asks for the herbs and candles from her bag. Timmy gives them to her, and she begins sprinkling the herbs over the grave and lights the candles. Tabitha casts a spell, but it is delayed when a huge shadow is cast on the tomb behind them. Timmy thinks she must have brought back a dark spirit, and decides not to hang around. He tells the dark spirit that Tabitha was the one who disturbed his spirit, not Timmy. Fortunately, the dark spirit is nothing but a drunk's shadow. Tabitha asks Timmy to get her the box from her bag, but it is too big for him to handle, so she gets it. It is a box from the ACME supply company which contains a pre-assembled portable witches cauldron to conjure the dead. Timmy gives Tabitha an A for effort, but doesn't think it will work. Tabitha starts her spell again and asks for her old witch friend Matilda to be sent up to her. Suddenly, the portable cauldron explodes! Matilda shows up, wearing a hat and coat which looks very much like something the Queen of England would wear, and she asks why she has been summoned from her grave?

At the hospital, Eve asks Orville why he keeps warning her to keep her daughters away from Chad? Orville tells her a disaster will happen if he does! Outside, Chad shows TC and Whitney what is left of his birth certificate. They all wonder why Orville would want to burn his birth certificate. When Eve leaves Orville's room, Chad asks her if she would know why? Eve says she hasn't a clue. TC says that Orville obviously went to a lot of trouble to keep Chad's parents identity a secret, and Chad vows to find out why.

The Russells go home, and Eve scolds Simone for disobeying her and going out with Chad. Eve warns her that if she disobeys her again the consequences will be severe. Simone storms off to bed, and Whitney decides to go to bed as well. TC asks Eve if something other than Chad being with Simone is bothering her, but Eve says nothing else is bothering her. TC tells his wife that she looked pretty tense in Orville's room. Eve says that is because she just doesn't feel like she's done enough to help him. Eve tells TC that he should go upstairs and rest and that she'll be up later because she has some work to do. After TC goes upstairs, Eve grabs her coat and sneaks out of the house to find out who Chad Harris is and how he is connected to his family.

Back at the hospital, Chad overhears Orville talking in the sleep and telling Eve to keep "him" away. Chad thinks Orville is talking about him and wonders why. He then notices that Eve dropped her wallet on the floor, so he decides to drop by her place and give it back to her. Chad arrives at the Russells house to give Eve her wallet back and is greeted at the door by Whitney, who is in her nightgown. He asks to see her mom right away. Meanwhile, Eve is walking through Harmony and is wondering what Orville knows about Chad and his connection to her daughters.

At the Lopez-Fitzgerald's house and up in Theresa's room, Ethan decides to help Theresa by looking for her boyfriend's phone number, or even a name. Miguel looks up and sees the photo of Ethan on Theresa's wall, and he stops Ethan from going through Theresa's things and tells him that he can't do that! Ethan realizes why Miguel is upset, Theresa obviously values her privacy and what he was doing was wrong. Ethan tells Miguel how much he admires his family and their bond, and he can't imagine anything that could ever break them apart. Ethan decides to leave, and Miguel thanks him for everything he's done. Once Ethan leaves, Miguel tears down the pictures of Ethan. Theresa wakes up and asks Miguel to bring Ethan back so she can tell him the truth, that her love for Ethan caused their father's death. Miguel tells her that none of this is her fault, but she refuses to listen. Miguel tells her that there is only one person responsible for Papa's death.

Outside, Luis can't stop thinking about his father's death and he believes that it was his fault. Hank shows up and asks Luis if he can do anything for him, but Hank says no. Luis tells him that the only man who may be able to help him is Julian Crane, and he tells Hank about the piece of paper on his father's body. As Luis tells Hank that he blames himself for his father's death, a worried Pilar listens in from the kitchen. Luis sees his mom blow out her candles, and he blames himself for making his mother a widow. Luis goes inside and apologizes to his mom and asks her if she can forgive him? Pilar tells Ethan that he has nothing to feel sorry for, he did what he had to do. Luis thinks he did what a cop had to do, but he failed his family as a son and a brother. Pilar holds Luis as he cries in her arms. Pilar tells him that nothing that happened was his fault and only God knows why Martin brought this on himself.

Luis goes up to see Miguel and Theresa to apologizes to them, and Hank and Pilar go with him. Miguel looks at his mom and asks "why did he do it?" Luis thinks Miguel is talking about him, but he is talking about their father. Theresa and Miguel ask their mom how their dad could kidnap Sheridan and expect Luis not to do anything? Luis tells them both that he doesn't know why their father did what he did, but he is sorry for what happened tonight. Miguel and Theresa tell him that they don't blame him, and they share a group hug. They all tell one another that they will be there for each other.

At Sheridan's cottage, Sheridan and Gwen are still talking about the silly magazine article. Sheridan says that article can't be true because the odds of her spending the next year with Luis is a million to one. Gwen isn't so sure, and she asks Sheridan once again if she's falling in love with Luis? She asks how she felt when he had his arms around her? Sheridan says she felt safe and secure. Gwen realizes she was right, she's fallen for Luis! Sheridan says she just felt safe and secure because Luis saved her life and she is just happy to be alive. Sheridan then tries to convince Gwen that Theresa is no threat to her future with Ethan. Gwen thinks perhaps she is right, but it has become a matter of principal. Gwen says she has to prove to Ethan that she was right about Theresa in order to get her out of their lives for good. Suddenly, Gwen realizes her parents must have heard what happened at the Seascape, so she decides to leave to call them. Ethan shows up at Sheridan's place, and Sheridan tells him that Gwen is very hurt by what happened tonight. Ethan explains what happened to Sheridan, but Sheridan thinks he should be explaining this to Gwen, not her. Ethan says he will, but first he wants to know how she is. Sheridan says she is okay now that she knows she killed nobody, but she is upset for Luis and Pilar for their loss. Ethan says that Martin Fitzgerald brought on his own death, and he's grateful to Luis for saving her tonight. Sheridan is as well, but she says she can't imagine what Luis and his family must be going through right now.

Friday

January 7
Chad shows up at the Russells to return Eve's wallet, and Whitney answers the door in her robe. Whitney takes the wallet and says that she'll give it to her mom in the morning. The wallet ends up falling to the ground, so when Whitney bends down to pick it up, her robe comes open, revealing her nightgown. Chad stares at her, so she quickly closes her robe. She tells Chad that he better go, and then she runs to get the tea kettle off the stove. Chad goes inside, and when Whitney returns, she tells him that her mom will be grateful to him for bringing her wallet back. She says that she hopes he doesn't want a reward. He says no, but he'd like a cup of that hot tea. Whitney pours him some tea, and Chad asks Whitney what her mom's problem with him is? Whitney says she doesn't like lies and secrets. Chad tells Whitney to tell her mom not to worry about him, once he knows the truth about himself, he'll get out of Harmony. Chad then wonders if there are anymore clues about his past at Orville, so he decides to head over there.

Eve is wandering the streets of Harmony and realizes she has to find out what Orville knows about Chad. Eve heads to Orville's place to search for the rest of the evidence Orville said he had on Chad. As Eve goes through Orville's things, Chad shows up! Chad asks her what she is doing here? Eve says she was looking for Orville's medical history, but Chad doubts that. He asks her if she's found anything, but she says no. She says it is getting late, so they better leave. Orville tells Chad that she can't leave him here, she has to lock up. Chad tells her, sarcastically, that they can't have someone snooping around Orville's apartment.

Eve goes home and finds Whitney waiting in the living room. Whitney thought her mom was upstairs and asks where she went? Eve says she went out for some fresh air. Whitney tells her mom that Chad came by to return her wallet. Eve is upset that Chad came here, but Whitney says it wasn't like she invited him over. Whitney asks her mom why she is so intent on keeping her and Simone away from Chad? Eve tells Whitney to just do what she tells her!

At Sheridan's cottage, Sheridan tells Ethan how bad she is feeling for Luis right now. They then talk about Theresa for a bit, and Gwen's beliefs. Sheridan tells Ethan that he and Gwen need to talk. Gwen overhears them talking about her and goes in to see Ethan. Sheridan decides to take a drive and let them talk. Gwen ask Ethan where he has been? He is honest and tells her that he was at Theresa's house. He tells her that Theresa is a mess and is blaming herself for her father's death. Gwen apologizes to Ethan for the way she acted tonight and she feels bad for Theresa. However, she says she can't overlook the fact that Theresa is always ending up in his arms. Ethan says tonight was different. Gwen tells Ethan that she has been behaving the way she has because she's terrified of losing him, but Ethan assures her that she won't lose him.

Luis tells his family that they will get through this together. Theresa wants to tell Luis the truth, that she killed papa, but Miguel stops her. Hank then tells Luis that he should talk to him if he needs to. Luis thanks him and says he knows he can count on him, and he hopes he knows he can count on him if he is ever in trouble. Luis suggests they go get something to drink. They leave, and Pilar asks Miguel what this nonsense with Theresa is? Miguel explains the Theresa's beliefs to Pilar, who assures Theresa that she did not have anything to do with her father's death. Miguel tells his mom that he tried to tell her that, but seems to convince her otherwise. Pilar tells Miguel to go to bed because he'll stay with Theresa. Theresa continues to cry that she can never love Ethan again, and both Miguel and Pilar hope she means it.

Luis and Hank go to the kicthen for a drink, and Hank realizes that he's must have dropped his car keys out back, so he heads out there to look for them. Hank leaves his phone behind, and when it rings, Luis wonders who could be calling him at this hour. Luis answers Hank's phone, and when Hank returns, he asks Hank what is going on here? Hank grabs the phone from Luis and tells "them" not to bother them again. Luis asks what is going on, the guy on the other end threatened to kill him? Hank says he's just been getting some crank phone calls lately, and he assures Luis that nothing is wrong. Luis tells Hank that he needs some time alone, so Hank splits. Luis looks at his mom's dormant candle and realizes he has to get away from all these reminders of his dad.

At the Bennett house, Charity finds Kay sneaking in and asks her where she's been? Kay tells her that she's been comforting Miguel. Charity thinks about going to see him, but Kay says he's probably asleep right now. Charity asks if she thinks he could really sleep at a time like this? Kay says she's probably right, but they shouldn't disturb the family right now. Charity decides to go see him in the morning, and then she heads off to bed. Kay thinks Charity is right and Miguel probably isn't sleeping, so she decides to go comfort him some more. Charity realizes that Miguel needs her, so she decides to go see him. Sheridan and Luis both end up at the youth center, and Sheridan finds Luis going crazy with the punching bag. Sheridan asks him if he is okay? He asks her what she's doing here? She says she couldn't sleep and went for a drive, and she ended up here. Luis asks her why his father had to do it, why did he have to make him chose? Sheridan tells Luis that Martin could have saved himself, but he didn't. Sheridan admits that she feels a bit responsible for what happened, but Luis tells her that she's not. Sheridan and Luis sit down, and Sheridan tells Luis that she wishes it could have happened differently. Luis says his life will never be the same because of what happened tonight, and he'll never forget the looks on his family members' faces. As Luis sniffs back the tears, Sheridan comforts him.

Hank gets another phone call from his mysterious stranger, and he yells at the person that he's finished with him forever!

At the cemetery, Matilda demands to know why she has been summoned from her grave! Timmy faints upon seeing her, and even Tabitha appears frightened! Matilda asks Tabitha who she is and why she has been summoned? Tabitha tells her that it is her old friend, but Matilda is not pleased that she has disturbed her slumber, so she shoots fire at Tabitha! Timmy comes too, but faints again when he sees Matilda. Matilda asks Tabitha who her little friend is? Tabitha says she made him to help her with her battle against goodness, but Matilda thinks she made him to have someone to talk to because she's obviously still having trouble making friends. Tabitha says she has many friends, but Matilda isn't interested in her social life. Matilda asks Tabitha what she wants from her? Tabitha tells her that she needs help dealing with "the Charity." Matilda asks her what type of assistance she needs? Tabitha tells Matilda that she heard from a very reliable source that Charity could be persuaded to join the dark side! Matilda asks Tabitha who she looks like, Darth Vadar? When Matilda learns Tabitha's source is an angel, she doesn't know if she believes it. Matilda says even if it is possible, why does Tabitha need her? When Timmy mentions that Tabitha has lost her powers, Matilda realizes that is why Tabitha needs her. Matilda tells Tabitha that if she was stupid enough to lose her powers, she isn't going to help her, so she starts to disappear. Tabitha begs her to hear her out, so she sticks around to listen to her beg. Tabitha begs her for a little boost to get her powers back. Matilda asks her why she should help her? Other dead witches start to wonder who is disturbing their sleep, and when they learn it is Tabitha, they all say that they never liked her at all. Matilda wants to be left alone and warns Tabitha never to disturb her again! She then shoots fire at Tabitha. Tabitha yells that she gets the message and agrees not to disturb Matilda again. Matilda vanishes, and Tabitha assures Timmy that Matilda was just putting on a show for them, she wouldn't hurt them. Tabitha then orders Timmy to pick up any weeds that Matilda burned, because it was all part of her plan to get Matilda to help them. She says that she knew she could get Matilda to help her get what she needed, the final ingredient to lure Charity over to their side.
