In the library, Julian is going through his papers when Pilar shows up behind him. She startles him, and he drops the papers. When she offers to pick them up, he insists on doing it. Pilar asks him if there is something in those papers about her family which he doesn't want her to see? Julian asks why he would have any such papers in his safe? Pilar says she doesn't know, but Luis suspects that he's hiding information on Martin's disappearance somewhere in this house. Julian shoves the papers in his desk and assures Pilar that there is no evidence in this house. Pilar says they shall see, warns him not to harm her son Luis, and then tells him that even David brought down Goliath. Julian asks Pilar if she's implying that he should be afraid of her son? He asks if she is threatening him? Pilar says no, she just feels that they need to get these things out in the open. They talk for a bit, and Pilar admits that she fears that tensions might arise between their families if certain members become involved. Julian realizes that she is talking about Sheridan and Luis, and he assures Pilar that Sheridan will never become involved with her son! Julian storms out of the library, and then calls his father. He tells Alastair that they have a problem! They converse about the problem. Julian tells his father that he thought Pilar would have given up by now, but she hasn't. Alastair is concerned about Pilar, who he knows knows secrets about their family, but he says that he's more concerned about Luis right now. Alastair thinks that perhaps Luis and Sheridan aren't lovers, and the kiss was just a cover. Alastair suspects that Sheridan is helping Luis investigate their family in order to clear the family name, and they kissed to cover the fact that they were snooping. Still, the kiss bothers Alastair because he thinks she may have liked it, and it could cause her to fall in love with Luis, which would be a disaster. Alastair says he's been thinking about this a lot, and has come up with a plan to destroy this romance tonight.
Ethan and Gwen have spent the night in Ethan's room, and Ethan serves Gwen breakfast in bed. They are both glad that this entire Theresa problem is over. Ethan is positive that Gwen will like Theresa and her boyfriend because Theresa is fun to be around. Ethan then admits that he never thought Theresa loved him, but he did question whether or not she had a boyfriend. Gwen tells Ethan that they should stop talking about Theresa and focus on what matters, their future together. Gwen tells Ethan that she's ready to answer his proposal, but he tells her not to. She asks why, doesn't he want to hear her answer? He tells her "No, I don't."
Thersa shows up to work and runs into her mom, who can't believe she's come here and hasn't been fired. Theresa explains what happened last night, and how she believes that fate will bring her and Ethan together. Pilar tells her to quit this job and end these silly dreams. She tells her that she'll never be a Crane. Theresa tells her mom that she is wrong, she will be Mrs. Ethan Crane one day. Pilar warns her daughter that this will cause an explosion between their families, and it will end badly. Theresa asks her what she means? Pilar says that Julian and Alastair will never allow their families to mingle, she can not marry Ethan, and Sheridan will not be allowed to become involved with Luis. Theresa laughs and says that Luis will never become involved with a Crane. Theresa says that Luis and Sheridan would not get together because they are not like her and Ethan. Pilar tells her daughter that right now, Ethan and Gwen are upstairs finishing breakfast in bed. Theresa is hurt deeply and asks her mom why she is doing this? Theresa turns to leave, but her mom asks her where she's going? She says she's going to see Ethan. Pilar begs her daughter to stop, but Theresa says she has to stop Ethan from making a mistake, and she storms upstairs.
At the Bennett house, Miguel and Charity walk into the kitchen right as Tabitha's head pops up in the fish bowl. Reese tells them that Tabitha's head has appeared in the fish bowl, so they go to investigate it. Tabitha tells Timmy to do something fast! When Miguel and Charity look at the bowl, they do not see Tabitha's head. Still, Reese is positive he saw her head in the bowl. Miguel says that he probably just saw Tabitha's face through the window and magnified in the bowl. Charity looks at the fish, which is a fish again, and she feels a strong connection to the fish, almost as if it is communicating with her. Miguel and Charity decide to head out down to the youth center, but Reese insists on staying behind to study the fish. Later, Timmy grabs the fishbowl and makes a run for it, but Reese sees him. Reese tries to go after him, but falls and hits his head.
Timmy takes the fishbowl back to Tabitha's place, and he prepares to cast the spell to bring her back to her old self. He pours some water into Tabitha's bowl, and begins to say a spell. However, he realizes that this is a spell for bringing back ghosts, not fish. Tabitha's bowl fills with red bubbly water, and it overflows and Tabitha spills out onto the floor. Tabitha put Tabitha back into a bowl of clear water, and re-casts the spell. The spell doesn't work, so he casts one about bringing mermaids to life. Suddenly, Tabitha is turned into a mermaid!
At the youth center, Kay and Simone watch Sheridan and Luis tango. Kay says if she could learn to dance like that then she's positive she could snag Miguel. Kay then has a fantasy about dancing the tango with Miguel. Miguel and Charity show up, and after Luis and Sheridan's dance ends, everyone applauds. Kay asks Miguel if he can dance like that, and he says he sure can, with the right partner. Miguel excuses himself to talk to his brother, and Kay talks to Sheridan about how she learned to dance like that. Sheridan says it isn't about learning, its about feeling. Kay asks if you have to be in love to dance so in sync? Simone says she thought Sheridan hated Luis? Sheridan says she doesn't hate Luis, he is a nice guy and they get along great. Charity tells Sheridan that she doesn't just like Luis, she loves him! Kay tells Charity to get real, it was only the passions of the dance she saw. Charity apologizes, and Kay says that Luis hates all the Cranes, so he could never love Sheridan. Charity once again apologizes, but says she just feels that she loves Luis, and he loves her. Sheridan privately wonders if she loves Luis, and if he loves her.
Miguel questions his brother about her relationship with Luis, but Luis says there is no relationship between them. Miguel says he saw the heat between them, and if he's denying it existed, he's fooling himself. Luis says that he'd never go out with Sheridan because she is a Crane. Miguel can't believe he wouldn't go out with Sheridan, even if he liked her, just because of her last name. Miguel tells his brother that Sheridan's family doesn't matter when his heart is involved. Luis tells Miguel that he was wrong about what he saw, it was just a dance. Still, Miguel thinks that Sheridan feels the same way about Luis that Luis does about her.
Reese shows up at the center and tells the kids that he just saw some wierd little kid in a wizard's costume steal the fish. He tells them that he tried to go after him, but he slipped and hit his head. Charity has a feeling they should ask Tabitha about the fish, so they head off to Tabitha's house.
Back at the center, all the kids have left, and Sheridan is preparing to leave. Luis stops her once, and when she asks what he wants, he says nothing. She heads for the door again, and he stops her again and asks her if she wants to go out with him tonight? Sheridan tells him that she'd like to go out with him tonight.
At the mansion in Ethan's room, Ethan tells Gwen that she doesn't want him to answer his proposal. Gwen gets out of bed and tells herself that this is all her fault, and that if she only hadn't doubted Theresa. Ethan says it would have saved them all a lot of heart ache, especially Theresa. Gwen tells Ethan that she understands why he no longer wants to marry her, and because he no longer loves her, she can no longer see him. Ethan calls Gwen dense and tells her that he still loves her and the reason he didn't want her to answer his proposal is because he wants it to be done right. He says he has picked a special day to propose to her, and then remembers something he needs to take care of. He tells Gwen that he has a surprise for her, and he'll see her later.
Downstairs, Pilar stops Theresa from going up the stairs to see Ethan. Pilar tells her daughter that Ethan is with Gwen, but Theresa knows Ethan loves her and not Gwen, and that he will marry her. Pilar tells Theresa that is not possible, their family can never be connected to the cranes. Pilar walks Theresa out, and they run into Whitney. Pilar explains what happened, Theresa is crushed, and Whitney offers to take Theresa home. In the library, Alastair, who is on the phone, tells Julian to bring Sheridan to the study so he can talk some sense into her.
Ivy returns to the mansion and asks Pilar to pack her ski equipment. Pilar is pleased that Ivy is going to Europe and is forgetting her past with Sam. Ivy says she is not going to Europe. She says that she knows now that she should not have allowed her family and the Cranes to come between her and Sam. She vows to get Sam back because he is rightfully hers! Pilar asks Ivy what she is up to now? When Pilar realizes that Sam and Grace are going on a trip, and Ivy plans on interfering. Suddenly, Gwen walks in and asks if something is wrong? Ivy says nothing is wrong, and she asks her how things between her and Ethan are? Gwen says everything is great, and she thinks she might have some good news come Valentines Day.
Whitney takes Theresa to the Book Cafe. Theresa is heartbroken because she thought Ethan finally realized he loved her and not Gwen. Whitney tells Theresa that she has to give up this fantasy because it is not going to happen. She then encourages Theresa to go out with Chuck. Theresa says Chuck did call her, but she turned him down because Ethan is the only man for her. Suddenly, Theresa makes a realization. She thinks that Ethan spent the night with Ethan to dump her. Whitney thinks she is crazy and tries to talk some sense into her friend. Suddenly, Theresa gets a call from Ethan! Ethan asks Theresa if she is free to meet him? She says yes and tells him where she is, so he says he'll be right there. Ethan shows up and asks Theresa where her boyfriend is? Theresa says they are supposed to meet later. Theresa asks Ethan if Gwen accepted his proposal? Her face lights up when Ethan says that there was no proposal. Ethan gets a phone call, so he excuses himself. Theresa tells Whitney that she was right, Ethan and Gwen are finished! Meanwhile, Ethan tells the person on the phone that he wants to see a final selection of engagement rings today. Theresa hears this and thinks that Ethan wants to propose to her. Whitney tells Theresa that Ethan said nothing to her to make her think he wants to marry her, but Theresa thinks he would have if the phone didn't ring. Ethan approaches Theresa and asks her to help him pick out an engagement ring for Gwen! Theresa promptly faints!
At the Youth Center, Luis tries to cancel his date with Sheridan because he thinks she only said yes out of gratitude. Sheridan says she wants to go out with him, and it has nothing to do with him saving her life. Luis says he'll pick her up at the cottage and they'll go to the Lobster Shack. Sheridan says it's a date, which makes Luis worry. He says he's worried about Julian, and what he'll say when he learns they are going out. Sheridan says she doesn't care about what her brother thinks. Suddenly, Sheridan gets a call from her brother, who demands to speak to her immediately about an urgent family matter. Later, Sam shows up and asks Luis if he can cover for another officer tonight. Luis says he can't because he has a date. Sam is thrilled, until he learns he's going out with Sheridan Crane. Luis says that he was wrong about Sheridan, and she's really come through for him lately. Sam asks how? Luis says he'll tell him, but as a friend and not a cop. He says that Sheridan helped him search the Crane mansion. He tells him the details, which infuriates Sam. Sam says that going against the Cranes on their own turf is dangerous, and he's becoming a major threat to them. Luis doesn't care and vows to nail the Cranes for being involved with his father's disappearance. Sam hopes that Luis is right about Sheridan and she is not like the other Cranes. He then says that he knew a man who was involved with another Crane woman, and the woman was pressured into dumping the man. Sam becomes emotional, and Luis asks him if he is okay? Sam says he's fine, he just gets angry when he thinks about how the Crane's manipulate people. He warns Luis to be careful with Sheridan, but Luis thinks he'll be fine.
Sheridan goes to see her brother in the study in the Crane Mansion. Sheridan asks him what he wanted to see her about because she doesn't have a lot of time. Julian asks her why she is in a hurry, so she tells him that she's going out with Luis tonight. Julian tells his sister that is exactly why he wanted to speak with her! Julian tells Sheridan that he knows she brought Luis into this study to help him search for information. Sheridan asks Julian just what is in his safe that he's so afraid of Luis seeing, could it have anything to do with Martin Fitzgerald? Julian lets Sheridan look in his safe, and she finds nothing. Sheridan believes he had nothing to do with Martin, and she thinks Luis will be pleased to learn this. Julian doesn't care what pleases Luis, he just wants her to stay away from the man. When Julian warns her to stay away from Luis, Sheridan says she will see whoever she wants. Julian says father wants this as well, but Sheridan says she doesn't care what father wants. Suddenly, Alastair's voice, over the speakerphone, says "you should!" Alastair says he was hoping she'd give up on Luis on her own, but since she won't, he tells her to break off all communication with Luis for her own good!
At Tabitha's house, Timmy turns Tabitha into a mermaid, which infuriates her. Timmy promises to fix everything, but he doesn't know how. Meanwhile, the kids arrive outside of Tabitha's house to investigate the kid Reese saw steal Charity's fish. Charity thinks they should ask Tabitha about the fish, so they ring the doorbell. Timmy looks outside and tells Tabitha that the kids are here. Tabitha tells him not to answer because she needs time to figure out how to get the rest of her body back. She says that she thought kids today were slackers, so why are they always bothering her? Miguel thinks they should leave, but Reese looks through the key hole and sees a giant fish tail! Reese says it is the same fish that was in the bowl, just one hundred times larger. Reese tells the kids that it must have gotten caught in a nuclear reaction or something. Kay tells him that he's been playing too many videogames, so he tells them to look for themselves. Miguel goes to look, but he sees nothing thanks to Timmy, who pulls Tabitha away from the door just in time. Reese looks again, but sees that it is gone. He thinks that he needs rest and this is the result of the bump on his head. As they are all leaving, Charity hears Tabitha making noise inside, so she yells to her friends that she just heard something inside. Charity thinks Tabitha might have fallen and can't get up, so they have to help her! Tabitha hears this and tells Timmy to hurry up and find the incantation! Timmy says he did, so he casts another spell, which gives him bunny ears! The kids break in, and Timmy hides. Tabitha gets herself onto the couch and puts a blanket over her legs. Charity says that they came in through the window because they were worried about her. Tabitha says she is fine, just a little weary. Reese smells the blanket over Tabitha's legs and becomes suspicious. Charity tells Tabitha that someone stole her fish, and she wanted to know if she saw a mysterious boy dressed as a wizard take it? Tabitha laughs and says no, and that she was probably asleep at the time. The kids decide to leave, but Reese turns around and sees Tabitha's fish tail peaking out from under her blanket. He points at her and exclaims "It was you!"
At the mansion, Alastair and Julian warn Sheridan not to have any further contact with Luis. Sheridan says that Luis asked her out and she is going, but her father forbids it. He says that Luis is just like all the other men she's dated, he's only out to use her. Julian tells Sheridan that he knows the kiss she and Luis shared wasn't romantic, it was a kiss to cover up the fact that they were searching for records on Martin Fitzgerald. Sheridan tells them the entire truth. She says that she offered to help Luis to prove that their family was not involved with his father's disappearance. Alastair says she still went against the family and should have discussed this with him first because he only wants what is best for her and he loves her. Sheridan is moved when her father says he loves her. He tells her that he wants to protect her, and her mother always wanted her to marry a man who would make her happy. Alastair says he just doesn't want to see her enter another relationship which is going to fail. They both pressure her not to go out with Luis, so she agrees not to. Julian is relieved, and can't understand why she'd want to go out with the man anyways. Sheridan says Luis saved her life, but Julian says that doesn't mean she has to go out with him. Sheridan says it does, and she changes her mind. Julian forbids Sheridan to go out with Luis, which angers her. She says this is just one date and it won't bring down the Crane family. She tells Julian and her father that she's going out with Luis, and she storms out of the study. Alastair tells Julian that this is not a good thing because if Sheridan falls in love with Luis, she'll do anything to help him. He tells Julian that he must never allow Sheridan and Luis to fall in love!
Luis shows up at Sheridan's cottage to pick her up for their date. She's wearing a sleek red dress. Meanwhile, back at the Youth Center, Hank takes his frustrations out on a punching bag. A delivery man shows and gives Hank an envelope. He opens the envelope, which contains a cell phone, which is ringing! Hank thinks it is the people trying to contact him, so he refuses to answer the phone.
At the Book Cafe, Ethan and Whitney try to wake Theresa up after she has fainted. Theresa finally comes too, and Ethan helps her up. Ethan decides to get her some juice, and Theresa tells Whitney why she fainted. Whitney tells Theresa that she can't go with Ethan to pick out that engagement ring, and Theresa tells her friend that she is right. Ethan returns and tells Theresa that she must take care of herself because she is important to him and his whole family, and he thinks she should go home and get some rest. Whitney says that is a good idea. Ethan tells her that he was really looking forward to her helping him pick out a ring, so Theresa decides to go with him. Whitney tries to talk her out of this, but she refuses.
Ethan and Theresa go to the jewelers and look at the engagement rings. Whitney accompanies them and they both pick out the ring they like. Ethan wishes he knew what it would look like on Gwen's finger, so he asks Theresa if she'd be willing to try it on for him? Ethan puts it on her finger, and Theresa's hand starts shaking. Ethan asks her what is wrong? Whitney says that Theresa has just never had something so expensive on her finger before. Ethan says the ring isn't what makes it valuable, it is the love it symbolizes. Ethan tells Theresa a story why people wear wedding rings on their third finger, and it causes Theresa to fantasize about Ethan proposing to her. Theresa starts crying, and Ethan wonders why. Whitney says engagement rings always make girls cry, and the manager says this always happens. Ethan decides to buy the ring, but when he tries to take it off, it is stuck! They try to pull the ring off Theresa, but can't seem to get it off of her no matter what they do. The jeweler says that this has never happened before, it is almost as if the ring was meant to be on Theresa's finger.
At Tabitha's house, the kids are about to leave when Reese sees Tabitha's fishtail. He yells to the other kids to come back, and he runs after them. Tabitha tells Timmy to hurry up and help her before those kids come back! Reese races after the kids and tells them that they have to call the papers because Tabitha is the fish. The kids laugh at him when he claims that Tabitha is a mermaid. He asks them to come back to the house so he can prove it to them. The kids return to Tabitha's house, and Reese tells everyone that Tabitha is a mermaid! Tabitha laughs and says there is no such thing as mermaids. Miguel tells Reese that they should see Dr. Russell because he obviously hit his head harder than they thought. Reese says he will prove to them that Tabitha is half fish, and he wrestles with her to try and pull the blanket off of her. Miguel pulls Reese off of Tabitha, but Reese demands Tabitha stand up. When she refuses, he goes back to tugging on her blanket. Meanwhile, Timmy remembers what Matilda told him he needed to help Tabitha. He remembers that he needs a piece of Tabitha's hair, so he casts a spell, and rips a piece of her hair out. Suddenly, Reese pulls the blanket off of Tabitha, and the kids all go flying into the hall. Timmy quickly burns Tabitha's hair, and when the kids go back into the living room, Tabitha is back to normal. However, Charity feels that Tabitha was a mermaid due to a vision, but Kay says that Charity and Reese just need rest. The kids leave, and Tabitha plans to finish off Miguel tonight. She tells Timmy that Charity is going to serve Miguel an interesting cup of tea. Timmy can't believe Tabitha is going to do this again.
At the mansion, Ivy asks Julian to pour her a drink while he's pouring one for himself, but he tells her to pour it herself! Ivy asks him what has him in such a foul mood, did he not trample his share of small businesses today? Julian tells her that he's angry because Sheridan is out dining with Luis Lopez- Fitzgerald at this very moment at the Lobster Shack. Pilar hears this and fears for her son. Ivy asks Julian if Alastair gave the "I only want what is best for the daughter I love speech?" Julian says he did, which makes Ivy laugh. Ivy says she is proud that Sheridan stood up to her father, and it is nobody's business who Sheridan dates. Julian says that Luis is using Sheridan to bring down this family, but Ivy knows users and says she doesn't think Luis is a user. Julian warns Ivy that she shouldn't let Alastair hear her talking that way. Ivy says Alastair couldn't hurt her anymore than he already has. Julian doesn't want to hear her talk about how Alastair pressured her into marrying him because she wanted to be a Crane. He asks Ivy what it is she's ever wanted that she doesn't have right now? Ivy thinks about Sam, and she plays with her locket. Thanks to breaking news, the next time I saw the soap, Julian is teasing Ivy about how she might have been married to Sam Bennett had she met him when she was younger. He laughs when he thinks of her baking tomato soup cakes and running a joke store. Ivy says it is an arts and crafts store, and she happened to purchase the gifts he requested there! Julian is furious because those gifts are for valuable business contacts who don't need trash like that! Ivy says she's heard from several of them, and they love the gifts. Julian doesn't understand why his wife is so interested in the locals, but then realizes that she's trying to get to Sam Bennett. Ivy asks why she would try to get to Sam Bennett? Julian says she must be trying to ingratiate Ethan to Sam in hopes he can further his political career. Ivy admits that is just what she is up to. Julian excuses himself to make a phone call, and Pilar confronts Ivy and once again warns her about not messing with Sam's family. Ivy says that she wants Sam back, no matter what the consequences. Pilar asks "Even if those consequences include Ethan?" Ivy doesn't want to hear this, and she asks Pilar if she's packed her clothes for her trip? Julian returns and asks Ivy what trip she's taking? Ivy says she's just taking a trip to a local ski resort, which Julian finds strange. Ivy decides to go pick up some things for her trip, but Julian wants to know why she's really going on this trip? Ivy dodges the question and asks him what he's done to Luis and Sheridan? Julian says a quick phone call to Sam Bennett has put an end to Luis and Sheridan's date. Ivy leaves, and Julian wonders why his wife is really going on this ski trip.
Grace and Sam go to the Lobster Shack to celebrate their upcoming trip. Sam becomes miffed when Grace says they have Ivy to thank for their trip and their dinner. Sam says they are going on this trip because they want to spend time alone together. At this point, the news interrupted the soap for really important breaking news. When the show came back, Sam was upset because Grace said that perhaps he and Ivy had something on the side. Grace teases her husband and says she was only joking and she knows he would never become involved with someone else. Later, Sam tells Grace a story about a pour boy who got involved with a rich girl, and the rich girl's family offered the boy bribes, and when that didn't work, they threatened him. Sam says that getting involved with that rich girl was the biggest mistake of that boy's life. Sam fears the same will happen to Luis if he continues to see Sheridan. A waiter approaches Sam and tells him that Julian Crane is on the phone from him, but he says he'll call Julian back tomorrow. However, Grace forces him to take the call, so Sam excuses himself. Sam asks Julian what he wants? Julian says he is calling about Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald.
Luis and Sheridan arrive at the Lobster Shack, and later order their food. Sheridan only orders a salad, and Luis asks for a few more minutes to decide. The waiter leaves to let Luis think over his order some more. Once he's gone, Luis tells Sheridan that they have to get something straight right now, or he's going to take her straight home. Luis tells Sheridan that they have to speak openly and honestly with one another if they are going to have a good time, and then there is a second rule. Unfortunately, I didn't hear the second rule because the show was interrupted for breaking news here in Philadelphia which is more important than Passions! When the show comes back, Sheridan is asking Luis if he's made detective yet? Luis says he hasn't taken the test yet because he was in Mexico when it was given. Sheridan feels bad, but Luis says he can take the test again in a year, plus passing it doesn't mean he'll get the job. Sheridan is positive that he will because she has faith in him. Luis says he really needs that job because it would mean more income for his family, and a better future. Sheridan finally orders a lobster, and she and Luis share a lovely dinner. Gwen shows up to meet with Ethan, and Sam interupts Sheridan and Luis to talk to Luis. Sam and Luis take off, and Sheridan talks to Gwen. Sheridan admits to Gwen that she's on a date with Luis. Sheridan tells Gwen that she thinks this relationship will work wonderfully. Gwen has her doubts and says that her family will probably bribe Luis. Sheridan thinks that her family would offer Luis something he wants more than anything, but she hopes he can resist. Sheridan changes the subject and asks Gwen when Ethan is going to propose? Gwen says she thinks it will be soon, and that Ethan has already bought her the ring.
Luis asks Sam what is going on? Sam says that someone just made a large donation to the department, a donation which will give him everything he's ever dreamed of. Sam says that the money is going to be used to send an officer to Quantico, Va to be trained by the FBI, and the person who donated it suggested him. Luis thinks this is great news, until he learns that it is Julian who donated the money. Sam says that the Cranes are doing this to keep him and Sheridan apart. Luis returns to Sheridan and tells her about the bribe Julian made him. Sheridan says he'll make a fine detective, but secretly she hopes Luis wouldn't take the bribe, that he'd be different. Sheridan begins to cry, and Luis asks her what is wrong?
Ethan shows up to meet Gwen and he tells her that he's having the Lobster Shack deliver a five course meal to his bedroom so they can spend some quality time together. Gwen grabs her purse so they can leave, and then asks him where he was? He says that he was running an errand that will change their lives forever.
Sam and Grace walk home after dinner and talk about their romantic getaway. Ivy sees them and hears Sam tell Grace how much he loves her and how they deserve to be happy. Grace says she wishes everyone could be happy, and she remembers the story he told her about the poor boy and the rich girl. Sam says that the poor boy fell in love again and is happy, and the rich girl is living the life she wanted to live. Still, Grace tells Sam that you can't get over that kind of love, it leaves an imprint on a person. Grace thinks that the boy and girl are probably still in love with one another. Sam says that this is their night, and changes the subject. Meanwhile, Ivy tells herself that Sam does still have feelings for her!
The Russells and Bennetts go to the Bennetts home for pie. Eve and TC went to see a movie about how you never get over your first love, and Grace says that she and Sam were talking about the same thing tonight. Suddenly, Ivy Crane shows up to make a change in her order, if she can do that. Grace says it is the least she can do for her. Ivy doesn't understand what she means? Grace says after all the shopping she did, she and Sam are able to take a vacation up to the ski lodge. As she is about to say the name of the lodge, Sam yells at her not to. Grace apologizes to Ivy and says that her husband is just being romantic and doesn't want anyone to know where they are going because they might interfere. Grace then starts talking about her first honeymoon with Sam and how she was just looking at photos from it. Ivy says she would love to see those photos, so Grace goes to get the book. She returns with the album, and an old picture of Sam falls out. The picture has been torn in half, and Grace wonders who could have been in the photo with him. Sam remembers that the person was Ivy, but he claims he doesn't remember. When Grace teases that if it was an old girlfriend she will find out, TC says he knows who it was. TC says it was there old high school english teacher who wanted a picture with her favorite failure. Ivy decides to leave because it is late, and she wishes Grace and Sam a wonderful trip. She tells them that she'll be going away as well, so she won't be seeing them for awhile either. Ivy returns home and looks at the brochure she stole on Snow Mountain (name change from Devil's Mountain).
At the mansion, Alastair, who is on the phone, asks Julian where Ivy is? Julian hasn't a clue, and would rather talk about his brilliant plan to make sure Sheridan never sees Luis again. Julian tells his father about the offer he extended Luis through his boss Sam Bennet. Alastair is pleased and says that they must protect their secrets at all cost. Julian says sometimes he thinks his father keeps secrets from him. Alastair laughs. Julian asks him if he knows anything about his wife that he doesn't know? Alastair says of course he does, but he doesn't think he knows everything there is to know about Ivy. Besides, Alastair says he doesn't care less about his and Ivy's relationship, and whether they share a bed again. Alastair says that the only thing he cares about is keeping the Crane empire in tact. Alastair says that he thinks he knows what is going on with Ivy right now, and they best hope things don't get out of hand because the outcome would be most unpleasant. Alastair then asks if TC knows about him and Eve? Julian says Eve says he doesn't, no thanks to that Christmas present he gave her. Alastair wonders if TC has told Eve how he crossed him years ago, but Julian doubts it. Alastair finds it odd that Eve and TC both have secrets involving him, and he wonders how he sleeps at night. Julian yawns as his father tells him this. Later they return to talking about Julian and Ivy's marriage. It is revealed that Alastair arranged the marriage because they got Ivy's father's political favors in arrangement for Ivy's access to the Crane fortune. Alastair says they got the better part of the deal, but if she forgets the arrangement they made years ago, they may have to get rid of her! Julian is shocked, but Alastair says too many things have gone wrong lately, and when he returns home he intends on taking a sterner hand with them all. Alastair says good night, and Ivy returns home. Julian asks her where she has been? She says that she's been out making plans for her ski trip.
At the Lobster Shack, Luis asks Sheridan why she is crying? Sheridan says she's just crying because of his good news, and can't believe he was offered what he has always wanted. Luis says it is what he's always wanted, it would mean a better life for his family. Sheridan tells Luis that he will make a great detective, and she guesses this is goodbye again. She says that it would have been nicer if the offer wasn't a bribe, but nobody would blame for accepting it. Luis realizes what type of guys Sheridan is used to going out with, and he tells her that he didn't accept the offer. Luis tells Sheridan that when he makes detective it will be because he earned it. Sheridan toasts to Luis because he is one of a kind, and Luis toasts to the future, whatever it may hold. Sheridan asks Luis if he would have turned the offer down if it didn't come from his family? Luis says he would have jumped on it in a second because making detective is still his dream. Sheridan says they have so much in common, they don't like to be used, they love lobster, and the New Mexican desert. Luis tells her not to forget the tango. After dinner, Luis and Sheridan get some ice cream, and Luis walks Sheridan home. Luis ponders if he should kiss Sheridan, but says he feels like a teenager back in high school. Luis eventually gives her a kiss on the cheek, which she says was great. Luis tells her good night, and then he leaves with a big smile on his face.
At Tabitha's place, Tabitha is reading her ancient tome and trying to figure out how to get Charity to kill Miguel. Timmy doesn't want Charity to kill Miguel, but Tabitha tells him not to get soft on her again because he already messed things up once. He agrees to be strong, so she tells him her latest plan. Tabitha says that she will invite Charity and Miguel over for tea, and she is going to poison his tea. She says that she just has to make sure that Charity serves him the poisoned tea. Timmy says that Charity's premonitions might help her save Miguel, but Tabitha says Charity's ESP isn't strong enough yet, which is why they have to kill her now.
At the Bennetts, Kay tells Simone that Reese accused Tabitha of being a mermaid, and she tells her what happened at Tabitha's place. She hopes that Miguel will soon realize that Charity is nuts. Kay says that Charity might look innocent on the outside, but it is just an act, her cousin is dangerous. Kay says that these premonitions of hers are just part of her evil plan, but Simone isn't so sure. Reese shows back up, and Tabitha calls Charity and invites her, Miguel, and all her friends over for tea. Charity asks the kids if they want to go over for tea? Kay says no way, but Miguel says they should go because they owe her. Charity accepts and says they will be right over.
Back over at Tabitha's, Tabitha sets everything up for her tea party, and she puts poisoned herbs which look exactly like tea leaves in Miguel's cup. The kids arrive, so Timmy turns into a doll. The kids drink their tea, but Miguel's is hot so he decides to let it cool. Simone asks Tabitha if she can read tea leaves, and Tabitha says her mother taught her. Tabitha takes Kay's cup and reads her leaves, which say that all her dreams and desires will come true. As Miguel is about to drink his tea, Timmy screams. The kids hear him and ask what the sound was? Tabitha says it was her Timmy doll, its voice box is going. She then threatens to make an entirely new Timmy doll and throw the one she has out. Charity asks Tabitha if she could teach her to read tea leaves? Tabitha says she could and says there is nothing to it. Charity looks at her leaves, and as Miguel is about to drink his tea, Charity sees something in her leaves and lets out a scream. Miguel ends up spilling his tea on Timmy, which burns his legs! When the kids aren't looking, Timmy runs out of the room. Miguel asks Charity what is wrong? Charity claims she saw a dead body in the tea leaves, and the body was Miguel's! Miguel tells Charity that he is fine and it was just her imagination. Charity says she couldn't imagine something so horrible, and says she wants to go home. The kids leave, and Tabitha sighs because her latest plan has failed. Timmy hobbles back into the living room, exclaims it is the end for him, and collapses on the floor. Tabitha picks him up and puts him on the couch. One of his knees has a big hole in it, and the stuffing is leaking out. She tells him that she'll just sew him a new leg, and everything will be fine. Timmy doesn't know how everything will be fine if Charity didn't kill Miguel? Tabitha says that Charity still saw a dead Miguel, so it means her plan will eventually work, and it will lead Charity over to the dark side.
Miguel walks Charity home, and she continues to worry about her premonitions. Miguel thinks it is just stress, but Charity isn't so sure. Miguel assures her that everything will be fine.
