At the mansion, Gwen asks Ethan if Theresa is right, is there more he has to say? Theresa asks Ethan to tell them what he was going to say to them. Ethan says he will. He says that he wanted to ask Gwen to toss her bouquet towards Theresa at the wedding, because he knows she believes in fate. Theresa is crushed. Ethan tells him that she fell in love with someone and lost him, maybe because she never had him, but there will be someone for her one day. Gwen sees her mom's limo pulling up, so she goes down to greet her. Ethan apologizes to Theresa for hurting her, but she says that she doesn't think that is what he was originally going to tell Gwen, he was going to tell Gwen about their kiss, and that he loved her. Ethan tells Theresa that they will never be together, and that he is going to marry Gwen. He leaves Theresa to think about this and see things for how they really are.

In the study, Julian tells Sam not to leave. Julian asks Ivy if he has to ruin this lovely case trying to open it, or would she like to confess something to Chief Bennett before he reveals her secret. Sam says if this is personal it has nothing to do with Harmony PD, so he is going to leave because nothing illegal is going on here. Ivy tells Sam to wait, something illegal is going on here. Ivy asks Pilar if she gave Julian permission to go into her house and take her case. Pilar says no, so Ivy tells Sam to arrest Julian for breaking and entering, theft, and being a total jackass! Sam tells Ivy to calm down because he wants to find out what happened. Sam asks Julian if he jimmied the lock or broke in through a window? Julian says none of the above, he used Theresa's keys. Sam asks if Theresa knows he took her keys, but Julian says she didn't stop him from taking them out of her purse, which she left in plain site. Sam decides to call Theresa to see if she knows about this, but Pilar says that Theresa is right upstairs, they can simply ask her. Julian says no, so Sam arrests him, cuffs and all. Julian tells Pilar that he'll destroy her, but Ivy tells her not to listen to him. Julian tells Sam that before they go, he insists Ivy open the attache case! Ivy just laughs, so Julian tells her that Alistair will blame her for the humiliation this will cause to their family. Ivy says since Julian is no longer heir, she doubts Alistair will care. Sam says that it looks like Julian is under arrest, all he needs is for Pilar to come down to the station and press charges. Ivy says that Pilar would be happy to do that, and everyone looks at her when Sam asks if she will do that. Pilar shocks them and says no, she won't press charges. Sam says that she doesn't have to be afraid, but Pilar won't take any chances. Julian tells Pilar that her Christmas bonus will be doubled this year! Pilar tells Ivy that she can't take the pressure anymore, Julian must know what is in the case. Julian calls her a saint and says he will also have her entire house remodeled. Sam decides to leave, but Julian asks him to stay because he still might get to arrest a Crane after all! Pilar gives Julian the combination, and upon opening the attache case, Julian exclaims "What in the hell is this!"

At the cottage, Sheridan asks Luis if he is sure about this, everyone else thinks they should leave the past alone. Luis tells Sheridan that there is nothing she can't tell him that will change things between them. Sheridan has a flashback and Luis helps her to the couch when he sees she is upset. Luis turns a tape recorder on, which he thinks will help her. He asks her how old she was when whatever is haunting her happened? Sheridan says she was just a little girl, and this happened right before she was sent to Paris. Luis asks Sheridan if she is alone in these nightmares/memories? Sheridan says no she's not, well she is, but not really. Sheridan remembers being told the person was dead and she was wicked. Sheridan cries on Luis' shoulder that she is wicked. Luis asks Sheridan to tell him what is haunting her, but she says she can't. Luis promises that he won't think any less of her, so she agrees to tell him everything. Suddenly, Ethan walks in and asks Luis what in the hell he is up to, what is he doing to his aunt? Luis says he is just trying to help, and Ethan asks if he is helping like he was helping her the other night when she was almost killed? Sheridan tells Ethan to stop it, and that she has asked Luis to help her uncover the past. Ethan refuses and says that this is a family matter, and he wants Luis out of here. Luis says he's not going anywhere, but Sheridan asks Luis to step out so she can talk to Ethan alone. Luis leaves, and Ethan tells Sheridan that she is out of her mind! Sheridan says she trusts Luis to keep what she tells him confidential. Ethan tells her that she is a fool, and he forbids her from doing this. Sheridan asks him who he thinks he is, Alistair? Ethan tells her that he just doesn't want her to make a mistake that will cause her more pain. Sheridan says she loves him for that, but this secret has been burning her for so long, and she needs to get it out. Sheridan changes the subject to his secrets from Gwen, and Ethan says he tried to tell Gwen the truth, but he couldn't. He says he is going to marry Gwen and be happy with her. Sheridan points out that he's approaching this like a root canal, not a marriage, and he needs to be honest about his feelings for Theresa. Is he in love with her? Ethan says no, he doesn't love Theresa. Ethan says he was going to tell Gwen the truth about kissing Theresa, but he remembered his responsibilities as a Crane and how important his marriage to Gwen is, so he kept silent. Sheridan fears that being named Alistair's heir is turning Ethan into him. Ethan says he does love Gwen and wants to marry her. Sheridan hopes he is sure because she wants him to marry for love, not for the family. Ethan says he is marrying Gwen for love, and once they are married he will forget about Theresa. Ethan says that is why he must keep his secret. Sheridan says she feels she has to rid herself of her's to feel better. Ethan tells her that there is no proof that she killed anyone. Sheridan says Luis' father disappeared around the same time, but Ethan thinks that is just a fluke. Still, Sheridan is positive that she killed someone, and that someone is Luis' father. Ethan tells her that he doesn't think she killed him, and that he thinks it was all a nightmare.

Outside, Luis runs into Hank. Hank sees Luis is very tense, and says he only gets this way with work or a woman, so which is it? Is he about to make a breakthrough with this case, or with his relationship with Sheridan? Luis says that he feels if he can get Sheridan to open up, something special will happen between them. He also believes that by helping Sheridan he will help himself to. Hank asks him how helping Sheridan can help him? Luis says he thinks his father's disappearance is connected to Sheridan's nightmares.

Back at the mansion, Gwen talks to her mom about how all her dreams are coming true. Rebecca says her dreams are coming true as well. Gwen tells her mom that Theresa is not a threat because Ethan told her, in front of Theresa, that he loves her and will marry him. Rebecca and Gwen then toast to her and Ethan's marriage.

Theresa goes over to the Russell's and gets comforted by WHitney, but Whitney tells her that she told her that this would happen. Theresa feels bad for WHitney too, but Whitney says she doesn't care who Chad likes. Theresa tells Whitney that she may have lost Ethan, but she can still have Chad if she's honest with him. Whitney says she only feels friendship and gratitude to and towards Chad, and she doesn't want to end up like Theresa. Whitney tells Theresa whether Chad loves her or not it doesn't matter because their deal is off, Ethan didn't tell her that he loved her. Theresa still won't give up, and says when Chad wakes up they will ask him what Ethan was going to tell her and Gwen, and then they'll see what Chad has to say to her and Simone. Back upstairs, Chad begins to wake up.
