By the name of Allah the Merciful the Compassionate
Work is Worship
In a qudsi Hadeeth Allah says : Oh son of Adam, I created you for worship so don't play and I have written what you are going to Earn in this life ( Rezq) so that you don't get tired....
The explanation of this Hadeeth is that Allah has predestined everything for you but he created you for a purpose and that is to Worship Him alone so we need to plan ahead and try our best and to lean on Allah to choose the best for us.
The Prophet pbuh saaid: Allah likes those among his servants who are professionals in what they do.
This means that Allah loves those who do their jobs well and are skilled in what they do.
A group of people asked the Prophet (pbuh): Which among people are the best? he said those who live long and do good deeds in their lives. They asked him which among people are the worst ? he said those who live long and do bad deeds.
Even when a woman does work in her house it is considered worship. If she cooks for her children it's worship, if she cleans her house it's worship, and if she obeys her husband it's considered worship.
And there is a Hadeeth in the meaning of that some bad sins are not forgiven by prayers or fasting but what washes them away is working hard to support you family.
Even sexual intercourse between spouses is considered worship and good deeds are earned from it.
Once the Prophet (pbuh) told his companions that if you have sexual intercourse with your wives you get good deeds so they asked him how come? and he said if you committed adultry wouldn't you get bad deed? they said yes. And so if you make sex legally you will have good deeds.
Even if a woman wears make up and perfume to please her husband she will get good deeds from that.
There are conditions that should be in what we do so that we get good reward from Allah on that deed:
1. One should choose a job that would do good for him and others and that you can do that job.
2. To learn about what you want to do. The Prophet said in a Hadeeth: Good reward is for someone who does his job with having good knowledge about that job.
3. Not to waste time playing around and doing nothing but you should fill your times with worship and work.
4. To organise your job on the basis that you produce the best within the best amount of time.
5. To be skilled in your work. the Prophet said: Allah likes it when one of you does any job he does it perfectly.
6. To keep on working or doing that job. the Prophet said: The best of works or deeds in the eyes of Allah are those which you continue to do.
7. To be patient whatever the job you do is Hard because your reward will increase according to the difficulty and hardships of your deed.
In A Hadeeth: He who goes to bed very tried from his work Allah will forgive his sins.
7. To try to do your job in it's time and not to delay it to a later time because it will become harder to accomplish if you postpone it.
8. In the occasion that you have two things to do always start with the most important, especially those which are a must to do.
The Prophet said: Do what Allah has rdered you to do , you will be the most fearful of him.
9. To have confidence your job, in yourself and, most important, in Allah sw and not to mind what others say about your Job, work or deed. Because the Prophet (pbuh) used to work as a shepherd who takes care of goats and sheep for others. Once the Prophet saw a man's hand whose feeling become rough from doing hard work so he said May Allah bless these hands.
The meaning of the word job or work applies for both the worship you do to Allah and the work you do for a living.
You should notice here that from the Mercy of Allah he posted upon us is that he gave us good reward for everything that we do.
May Allah bless you all and gude your steps to what is the best in this life and the hereafter.
Don't forget you brothers and sisters in all over the world from your Duaa.
I LOVE YOU ALL ...
FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH
