Sins and Wrongdoings

Sins and Wrong doings

Wrong doings that Allah almighty made hateful for the people varies in harm and danger. Some of them are minor and safety from them is expected. Others are major sins that might lead the one to be disconnected from Allah. They might eradicate faith from its roots and send the one doing them to doom.

We dont have to wonder about that because even in our life we might make some violations that require us to pay a certain amount of money or imprisonment for a period of time. On the other hand one might commit a serious crime that would cause serious problems to him and he make lose his dignity or even his life as pay for them. Plus to that committing minor violations might lead the soul to be rebellious and fearless of committing more serious ones.

Islam frightens from offenses and cultivates in conciseness an endowment to self-accountant and makes a Muslim cautious from doing any deed that might make Allah angry from him. But because the human soul cannot be completely safe from minor sins Islam gave a great concern to fighting Major sins and to clean the nation from their dirtiness.

O ye who believe! Eat not up your property among yourselves in vanities: but let there be amongst you traffic and trade by mutual good will: nor kill (or destroy) yourselves: for verily Allah hath been to you Most Merciful! [4:29]

Major sins & Minor sins

Major sins that Islam gave severe punishment for committing them are many.
The sign that a certain act is a Major sin is for it to come from the legislator accompanied by a threat for sever punishment in the hereafter, or a big penalty for it in this life.
Here are some examples from the Prophet Sunna:
Abi Bukra -may Allah be pleased with him- narrated that the prophet pbuh said, Dont you want me to tell you of the worst of major sins? And repeated this 3 times. They said tell us oh Messenger of Allah. He said, To associate others with Allah, to show ingratitude to your parents, and to kill another soul. And the Prophet pbuh was leaning on one side then he sat straight and said, and perjury, and perjury and he kept repeating it until we said oh we wish he would stop.
(Al-Bukhari)

Obaid bin Omair narrated that his father narrated that the Prophet answered a man when he asked him about the Major sins,
They are nine: polytheism, sorcery, killing, usury, taking unjustly the inheritance of an orphan, running away from the battle field, defaming the chaste, impiety to the parents, not honoring the House of Allah the direction of Muslims dead or alive and to think its alright to commit sin there. (Abu Daoud)

Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet pbuh said, Three kinds of people Allah will not speak to them on the judgement day, will not look to them, and they will have a sever punishment: an adulteress old man, a lying king, and an arrogant poor.
(Muslim)

Sins in certain situations become more awful and detested than they already are whether they were coming from the person doing them or receiving them.

Committing adultery is a major sin but if it was with a neighbor's wife or the wife of a soldier who is away from his house in the battlefield such a sin becomes more awful and punishment from Allah for it will be severer.

Al-Miqdad bin Aswad -may Allah be pleased with him- said that the Prophet pbuh said to his companions, what do you think about adultery? They said Haram (Forbidden), Allah and his messenger forbade them. It is Haram until the day of Judgement. He said Pbuh to his companions, It is easier for a man to commit adultery with ten women than to do it with his neighbor's wife. (Ahmad)

The son of Omar narrated that the Prophet pbuh said, the one who commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, Allah will not look at him in the Judgement day, will not purify him, and will tell him: Go enter the Hell fire with those who enter it. (Ibn Abi Al-Dunia).

Abi Qutadah -may Allah be pleased with him- said that the Prophet pbuh said, " whoever sleeps in the bed of a man who is away from his house Allah will put a snake especially for his punishment in the hereafter."

Buraidah -may Allah be pleased with him-said that the Prophet pbuh said, The wives of those who fight for the sake of Allah are forbidden on those who stay behind just like their mothers' are.
(If a man from those who stayed behind cheated on with the wife of a man who is fighting for the sake of Allah, this man will stand on the day of judgement to take from the good deeds of the one who cheated on him until he satisfies...)
Then the Prophet turned to his companions and said, So what do you think? (Muslim) In another narration that the Prophet said, He (the one who cheated) will be positioned in a place for the other man. Then it will be said to the other man: this is the one who cheated on you with you wife so take from his good deeds what you may. then the Prophet added, Do you think that he will leave any of the good deeds for him. (Al-Nisa'i).

Sin committed by someone with knowledge is far more serious than a sin coming out from an ignorant. Isn't criminality but to know and to behave with ingratitude, or to be blessed with intelligence and awareness then to utilize them in evil, desire, and stinginess? Then the Prophet pbuh said, "Oh Allah I seek refuge with you from a useless knowledge, a non devoted heart, a non sated stomach, and an eye that doesn't cry." (Tirmidi)

From the most things that multiply the good deeds, gives repentance from sins, consolidates Man's relationship with Allah, and establishes the pillars of a Muslim society are the following worships.

Prayer (Salat)

Every now and then a loud, orderly, clearly uttered, sharp toned voice cuts through the veil of silence that prevails in the villages, and struggles with the noisy sounds in the cities. It is not a sound of anonymous, bare from meaning bell, nor a soft, emotions manipulating flute.

It is a voice that reaches for the heart and mind together.

It is a cry that returns to the minds and feelings the sense of life's purest facts.

It washes away the oblivion in control, the annoying nonsense, and tears down walls of earthly desires Man built around him.

It is the voice of the caller to prayer telling the whole world: Allah the greatest, Allah the greatest, I bare witness that there is no God but Allah...etc.

The message of Islam is built on lifting Man up, and keeping him in an honorable position of both spiritual and physical nature.
From this point Allah ordered Salat and imposed purity prior that (ablution 1
