Quran Lessons
HOW TO BECOME RICH?
Gates of Sustenance"
This is a lesson I heard on the Masjid in the first day of Ramadan and I thought I would like to share it with you.
Two matters occupy people in this life and are taking a great of time and thinking. These two matters are Sustenance and providing ones means of living, and the other is fear of dying,
These two matters are in the hands of Allah so we shouldnt worry two much about them if we have true knowledge of Allah.
All of us have tried different methods and ways to increase our wealth and money but have we really tried some of the methods that Islam provides? Of course this doesnt mean one should not go to work and seek to provide his needs, but he should work hard and do what Islam requires in order to increase the benefits and get the blessing of Allah.
The first of these gates is Al-Isteghfar (Repentance) and this is done by asking Allah for his forgiveness over what we have done from sins, bad deeds or shortage in worshipping Him Almighty.
Allah said in the Quran: Saying: ask forgiveness from your Lord; for He is oft forgiving. He will send rain to you in abundance; Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water).
So the benefits of asking Allah for forgiveness are many and they stretch from this life to the hereafter. Try that Muslim brothers and sisters and you will see the difference in your life and whenever things get a little hard seek refuge in that and ask Allah for his forgiveness and say Asteghfirullah (I ask Allah for forgiveness) sincerely and whole heatedly.
The second of these gates is Piety and being pious. This means to have fear of Allah always within your heart and to act accordingly. So you never make any deed that would make Allah angry of you. You should fear Allah when you deal with all who are around you so you dont cheat, lie, steal, or do any kind of deeds that are considered illegal in Islam.
When you fear Allah He will save you and provide for you from ways that youve never thought of.
Allah says in the Quran: And for those who fear Allah, He ever prepares a way out.
And said And for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy.
And said And if anyone fears Allah, He will remove his ills from him, and will enlarge his reward.
The third gate is leaning on Allah and seeking refuge in Him Almighty. Never lean on any but Him and you will always find Him. Ask yourself, who is stronger than Allah? The answer should be no one. In a Hadeeth by the Prophet pbuh he said:
If you leaned on Allah truly Allah would provide you with Rizq in the same way He provide sustenance to birds, they set out in the morning hungry and go back to their nest fully fed.
Allah said In the QuranAnd for those who fear Allah, He ever prepares a way out, and He provides for him sources he never could imagine. And if any one puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is Allah for him. For Allah will surely accomplish his purpose
The fourth gate is Al-Salat and increase in the extra prayers will bring an increase in ones sustenance and wealth.
The fifth gate is visiting the relatives especially the closer ones in family ties; like ones parents, sisters, brothers, grandparents, aunts and uncles, etc.
In the Hadeeth: Whomever would like Allah to increase his Rizq and prolong his life let him keep links with his family members and relatives.
The sixth gate is giving charity, and that is to make part of your income go to optional charity in addition to the 2.5% mandatory Zakat (charity) of your savings yearly. In the Hadeeth, No money will be decreased from paying charity. And in the Quran: He that doeth good shall have ten times as much to his credit: he that doeth evil shall only be recompensed according to his evil: no wrong shall be done to any of them.
Try these six ways and always be thank full to what Allah has given you and you will blessed and an increase in your sustenance would be provided by the Sustainer of all Allah Almighty.
